Incorrect timestamp on logs exported to Excel

Exporting logged data to Excel loses the original timestamp.  The time in the Excel file is the system time at which the Excel file was created.  The entry in the spreadsheet for time X0 is just 0.  The original log file (within SignalExpress) has the correct starting time for the data but that time doesn't seem to get passed to Excel.  I have the timestam option set to 'Absolute'
Thanks,
Dave Detty

Hi Dave,
I've been able to track down the issue, and I filed a bug report to have it fixed.
It also looks like the date and time should be that of the timestamp of the first signal, and the X0 is designed to be the offset of each signal in the file from the Date and Time; which is really only useful when there are multiple signals in 1 file.
I wasn't able to find a workaround for this. I'm very sorry...

  • S_ALR_87012083: incorrect (sub)totals in exported excel

    Hi,
We run S_ALR_87012083 to do vendor line item analysis.
Standard the report subtotals on Vendor, G/L account, Company Code and Currency (in this sequence).
Sort order Ascending: Company Code, G/L account, Vendor, Special G/L indicator, Assignment, Posting Date, Currency and Business Area.
Data is displayed in non ALV layout.
If we use the "Export to Excel" button the result in MHTML format is showing incorrect subtotals and totals.
These are multiplied with a factor 10.000.000.
We use 2 digitals behind the comma in SAP and 2 digitals are displayed in excel.
The single line item values do show correct.
Even if we are only using 1 item for subtotal or non at all, this issue still comes up.
I have also removed one to all items from the sort order list, still the same problem.
Also tried other vendor and customer line item reports starting with S_ALR, but they all have this issue.
Checked the solution in OSS 423335, but didn't work out (or maybe I am misunderstanding the term sort level).
So anyone who could help, it would be much appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Geert

    Hi,
We have the same problem, here is the answer we received from SAP:
    Dear customer,
Firstly the component BC-CST is not proper, I would like to change
to BC-FES-OFFI for checking, also it's more like BC-SRV-ALV.
There is same issue reported from other customers and was solved by
note 1356898 which provided by our develoer .
#1356898 WD ABAP ALV export with aggregations is incorrect
But for tchnical reasons this note needs at lease SAPKB70020 as
    prerequisite.
If you can't apply this note right now, then you can use below
workaround to avoid the issue :
Before you export your list to Excel:
    1. push the "Change layout" button (Ctrl+F8)
    2. choose the tab "Sort order" an check for which column the subtotals
    are created
    3. switch back to the tab "Displayed Columns" and search for this column in the right list and add it to the left one.
    4. Confirm the changes
If you now export the data, the texts should be there.
    Hope the information helpful.

  • Export to excel issue

    Hi All,
Kindly help me in solving this issue.
Portals report layouts can be customized. When the user chooses to export
the customized reports to Excel, only the standard layout (hard coded
layout for each report) is exported to Excel and all the customized columns
    are not exported.
C&RM is planning to use the portals aging report for performance metrics,
collection and identifying the over 90 items for collection rep. The
standard layout for the portals aging report is missing the BP# and
    Collection rep name.
Choosing right click, select all and copying to Excel, the format of the
    report is lost.
Herewith I am attaching the code which needs modification.

Hook method called to modify a view just before rendering.
This method conceptually belongs to the view itself, not to the
    controller (cf. MVC pattern).
It is made static to discourage a way of programming that
routinely stores references to UI elements in instance fields
for access by the view controller's event handlers, and so on.
The Web Dynpro programming model recommends that UI elements can
only be accessed by code executed within the call to this hook method.
@param wdThis Generated private interface of the view's controller, as
provided by Web Dynpro. Provides access to the view controller's
           outgoing controller usages, etc.
@param wdContext Generated interface of the view's context, as provided
by Web Dynpro. Provides access to the view's data.
@param view The view's generic API, as provided by Web Dynpro.
           Provides access to UI elements.
@param firstTime Indicates whether the hook is called for the first time

    Regards,
    Pranathi.

Hi, I finally found the issue which was causing the numbers stored in text format issue. While exporting data to Excel programatically if any of the cells precede with a special character like -. = etc.. the data which is exported after that starts behaving in a peculiar way. So removal of any such special characters resolves the issue.
    Hope this helps..
    Regards,
    Macho

  • 2013 Excel WFservlet.xls check exports to Excel and opens blank Windows 7 Ent

    HI All,
I am trying to work through an issue involving an online check through Accounts payable downloading to a blank Excel document. If the user saves the file it opens as it should but if she chooses to open it, it opens blank. If I go to View>Arrange
All> leave the Tile selected (basically do nothing but click OK) and click OK it opens. I have done an Office repair with no luck and also a complete uninstall then used the office removal tool then reinstalled with reboots in-between and still no change.
This computer is on a domain and I can get the check to export to excel without any issues on another computer so I know it's not her roaming profile. I can get it to work on my machine and others as me, admin and her but on her machine no luck. I have opened
IE settings on her machine and a working machine and matched the settings exactly as well as Excel settings. I have started Excel in safe mode and exported but no luck. I have disabled all add ins in excel and added the site to compatibility settings and trusted
sites in IE. I reset the browser and deleted history with all options selected.
In the beginning I was receiving the error "The file format and extension of ".xls" don't match. The file could be corrupted or unsafe. Unless you trust its source, don't open it. Do you want to open it anyway?" I checked the following
In Windows Explorer Tools > Folder Options > View tab > made sure "Hide extensions for known file types" was unchecked.
    I also did
Open your Registry (Start -> Run -> regedit.exe)
    Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\OFFICE\12.0\EXCEL\SECURITY
Right click in the right window and choose New -> DWORD
Type “ExtensionHardening” as the name (without the quotes)
Verify that the data has the value “0″
    No luck.
If I log into the computer as local admin or my domain account it still opens blank.

The file will open in Chrome but I am wondering if that's because Chrome downloads the file as if I choose to save the file opens fine. I am going to run the OffCAT will post my findings.

  • JHS: Export to Excel doesn't work when having leading zeros

    Oracle JHeadstart Release 11.1.1.2.29
We are using the Export to excel option, but when we have leading zeros it doesn't export it as text so the data is incorrect.
Can any one please tell how doe we configure JHeadstart/ADF to have the leading zeros and export it as text rather than as number.
    Regards
    Ram

    Ram,
Export to excel is native ADF feature, not related to JHeadstart. Please post your question on the JDeveloper forum.

  • Export to excel issue - date format cannot be displayed properly

    Dear all,
When we do a export to excel, if it has date format, we always have problem on displaying it in excel. Some of the date if we change the data format, it will be changed to the correct way. Others will remain the old data format. Any idea?

  • Access Report exporting to Excel Horizontally

I've got a rather large report in Access, based on a couple of forms.
When i preview it looks fine, Textboxes are all in order with the make and model then the data in text boxes in a column below.
There are 7 columns of text boxes like this.
When I export to a PDF, it's in the right format, 7 columns next to each other.
When I export to Word and even a text file it works fine.
When I export to Excel, they all go horizontal...textbox name in row 1 and all the data in row 2, clear to column IV and that's it.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thank you for any help.
    Gee

    Hi Gee,
According to the desription, when the report exported to Excel, the layout is incorrect.
Based on my test, the Access doesn't export the textbox into Excel, it just export the data in the report. Here are the test steps for your reference:
    1. Create a table with some fields in Access 2013
    2. Create a reprot based on the table by default
    3. Export the report to Excel by External data->Export->Excel
Did I misunderstood? Also a demo database to help us reproduce this issue is much appreciate.

  • Web Intelligence export to Excel misses some fields

    Hi,
Our system is running BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 with SP3 (no fix packs).  The behavior I'm seeing is when exporting a particular Webi doc to Excel.
Here is some background info for the document I am attempting to export to Excel. The doc contains a section and the section has a crosstab including description header cells.  I have added an additional cell at the top of the section with section specific information in it- nothing that strange yet.  If my InfoView (Web Intelligence) preferences is set so that 'Select a priority for saving to MS Excel' is set to 'Prioritize easy data processing in Excel' then the exported document is missing the additional cell at the top of the section (all other data is fine).  If the setting is set to 'Prioritize the formatting of the documents' then the Excel export works perfectly.
My question is why would this be?  The cell is just a simple dimension (string).  My only fear about changing this Excel setting is that there is a warning in the 'Business Objects XI 3.1 Release Notes' guide.  It states
Large Web Intelligence documents should be saved to Excel format using the "Prioritize data processing" option". The generated Excel might not open if the document is large and saved with the "prioritize formatting" option.
    Thanks,
    Steve

We are experiencing similar issue using BO 4 SP2 Patch 10 when exporting to Excel with setting 'Prioritize easy data processing in Excel'.  Exporting data worked after changing WEBI settings to 'Prioritize the formatting of the documents'
Documentation regarding this option states following:
"Under "Select a priority for saving to MS Excel", select the option that best fits your needs:
u2022 If you want to display the data in a format that is similar to working in Web Intelligence, then
choose Prioritize the formatting of the documents.
u2022 If you want to display the data in a text format, then choose Prioritize easy data processing in
    Excel."
If I understand this explanation correctly then both options should have extracted the same content to Excel. Difference should have been how the contents were formatted and should not have caused loss of information.
I logged support ticket for this issue.

  • SharePoint 2007 Export to Excel 2010 or Excel 2013 Fails to Export All Fields in All Items View

    Hi All,
When I am trying to export the SharePoint View from SharePoint site to Spreadsheet (Excel 2013), I am able not able to export the the whole data, I'm missing some numerical columns from being displayed in Excel
I have Infopath form (2007) published on SharePoint Site and I am using MOSS 2007 and Excel 2013. My form has only 20 or so fields and the rest are fields I generated in the form library to do several other calculations. I have already 73 columns
displayed which should be exported to Excel, need help

    Hi,
As per your post, I understand “Excel cannot connect to the SharePoint list” is thrown out in Excel 2010 when exporting the external list in SharePoint 2013. We are able to export the external list to Excel 2013.
This issue does not occur on the standard lists.
I am able to reproduce the issue and it could be a potential issue in SharePoint 2013.
We will log this issue to our suggestion box. As after the submission, we may not have any time guarantee when the fix may be released, but it may come out on next cumulative update.
    Appreciate your time and efforts.
    Thanks.

  • Issue sorting dates in export to excel

After exporting to excel, the end-user wants to sort on a date characteristic (posting date), using excel functionalities. This gives an incorrect result:
    01.01.2006
    01.01.2007
    01.02.2006
    01.02.2007
If we sort on a time characteristic (calendar day), the list is sorted correctly.
If we run the report via the BEx and then sort (using excel functionalities), it is also correct :
    01.01.2006
    01.02.2006
    01.01.2007
    01.02.2007
How can we enable the correct sort?
    Thanks for your help!

I was also facing the same issue, and the reason was the diifferrence in the protocol of the J2EE WAS and that of Diapatcher.
check whether J2EE WAS and that of Diapatcher are both on http or on https. If they both are not same, that's the issue.
    Hope it helps!!

Very strange, as I know there is no ü allowed. There should be used only ASCII.
And if there is a ü, this should translated, e.g. with base64 encoding or sth. like that.

  • Export to Excel in Discoverer - Is this a Bug ???

Hi all, thanks for all your helping and sharing thoughts.
I have one issue when exporting to EXcel:-
If you create a calculated field in Discoverer and 1 or more of the values used in the calculation has a NULL value, Discoverer will show a NULL value for the calculated field, which is correct. However when the report is exported to Excel, the calculation for this field is done as if the NULL is a zero causing the calculation to be incorrect. For example:
    Ordered_Qty = 20,487
    Contract_Amount = NULL
Calculation for new field 'Contract_amt_Remaining' is Contract_Amount - Ordered_ Qty = NULL (since you can not subtract something from nothing , ie NULL - 20,487= NULL) this is fine.
When the new field is exported to Excel the value shows -20,487 as if the Contract_Amt = 0 and not NULL, actually it supposed to show NULL, I don't know why its happening like this.
can anyone help me on this, that would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    skat

    Hi puppethead,
    Thanks for your response,
Here what I am asking is, calculation working fine in Discoverer Plus lik the difference between 2 items, when it is null ie NULL - 3435= NULL this is working well and good in Disc PLUS, but when we export that worksheet to Excel it is giving as ie NULL-3435 = -3435 instead of NULL.
so you guys asking me to use CASE statement in Calculation, but this is not with our calculation part right in Disco Plus, coz we are getting correct result, only when we exporting to Excel getting incorrect value thats it.
Also i tried that CASE statement in calculation, saying syntax error, is that right syntax or not, i used as it is from this post.
Can you make sure that CASE statement is right or not in the above post, do you want me change anything over there, coz I am getting syntax Error.
Thanks again and for your helping.

  • SSRS 2008 R2:Export to excel error

    Hello,
I have a report which has 28 columns, one expression for generating alternate row colors, 2 images in the page header. Users are able to render the report in report manager url with in 20 seconds but they are unable to export the report to excel even with
a data of just 7000 rows.We are getting the following error: Internet explorer cannot download YearToDate report The connection with the server was reset. We are currently using sql server 2008 r2 10.50.2500. I have modified database connection
timeout to 900 ,httpRuntimeexecutionTimeout="9000", maxRequestLength="102400" , iis connection timeout is 900 sec.  We found that If we subscribe the report as email in excel format then we are getting the report but users requirement
is export to excel from report manager only.
    Please Help !!
    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi Satyadevs,
If I understand correctly, when you try to export a report to excel on Report Manager, you have received the error message. And when you examine the Report Server log, the log indicates that the export request was fulfilled.
The following KB is about a similar issue: FIX: Error message when you try to export a SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services report by using Report Manager: "Internet Explorer cannot download <ReportName>.xls
    from <URL>"
In Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services, when you try to export a report by using Report Manager, you receive the following error message:
Internet Explorer cannot download ReportName.xls from URL.
The connection with the server was reset.
However, when you examine the Report Server log, the log indicates that the export request was fulfilled.
The fix for this issue was first released in Cumulative Update 2. Because the builds are cumulative, each new fix release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 fix release. We recommend
that you consider applying the most recent fix release that contains this hotfix:
Cumulative update package 10 for SQL Server 2008
    Hope this helps.

    Hi Reddy,
it has been some time ago you have posted this issue so I'm not sure if you still need a solution for this issue.
Anyway, I assume you have found the manual regarding the export to excel, csv and pdf for Visual Composer (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/47fe4fef-0d01-0010-6f87-ed8ecb479123)
We also had issues with the export funcationality described in the document. I don't recall the exact error message.
    Just some advice:
Copy the code from the document into Notepad. Then, make sure you re-arrange the code into 1 single line (remove all enters). Then, copy the code into the formula editor of the hyperlink action. Don't forget to define a store (e.g. reptname) but that is explained in the document as well.
    Regards,
    Sven
