The browser has cached the response it got from the first call you made to the page. This means that you need to either change how you are calling the page so it appears to be a new request, or you need to change the page itself so that it won't be cached.
To change how you are calling the page, append a unique value to the end of the
URL. For example:
new URLRequest('yourPage.asp?param="+(new Date()).getTime).
If you want to change the page itself, you need to change the response headers. The method for changing the response headers will vary from language to language. For more on this see:

Cyndi6858, help is here! We'd be happy to help figure this out. Just to be sure though, the Droid Maxx should not have an SD card. Is this the Droid Razr Maxx? How did you add the music to the device? Are you able to see the files and folders located on the SD card or device when plugged in?

OBIEE 11g: how to automate browser clearing cache

We upgraded OBIEE 10g to 11g the implementation includes EBS SSO ( which works in 10g).
the SSO functions OK meaning when we login from ERP Bussiness selection responsibilities to the OBIEE dashboard page we can access it and the login succeed.
The thing is that when we change the responsibility to another responsibility the Application role of the user does not updated and the old role ( the user get again the first role that was assigned in the first login ) meaning the role was not changed with the new responsibility.
I think that browser cache find OBIEE session and connect to the session without call /* valueof(NQ_SESSION.ACF) */ APP_SESSION.validate_icx_session('valueof(NQ_SESSION.ICX_SESSION_COOKIE)')
So, to automate browser clearing cache ?

I think this situation is due to a feature of Weblogic

This can give the appearance that WebLogic Server sessions are not being destroyed after logout or timeout. I understand the advantage that helps to not make the login process more unnecessary. But I have to disable the feature, otherwise the end-user will not be able to change permission on BI /ERP responsibility and will have totally close the browser. The question is how to disable it (Weblogic feature) ?

Using Firefox 7.0.1 & am trying to clear cache, because Firefox crashes during online college courses (Firefox 3.0 or higher is a supported school browser), and I keep getting an error message about 'Quick Time.' Using pc - Windows 7 Home 64 bit.

As soon as I open up Firefox - it crashes on me. It takes me at least two or three attempts. I downloaded Firefox from the Firefox website and also use it for Facebook. I am wondering if it is because I also alternate between using IE as well? While attempting to open my school e-text, a message popped up that if experiencing problems opening my e-text - then I should clear cache and cookies which I cannot do - because of the "Quick Time error message."

As you can see below, when I right click, I have no such option. In the User Account Settings, I'm operating as the "System Administrator".
Any other suggestions?

My Safari keeps crashing even after clearing cache/history/etc. Help?

I have tried resetting, clearing cache, and erasing the history. I'm not sure what is going on with my Safari. Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.

Back button no longer works in some specific situations; also, it appears that clearing cache isn't working.

The "back" button no longer works in certain specific situations on certain specific websites -- especially on the very website on which I need to use it very frequently. This has been going on for a couple of weeks.
Also, I noticed today that the "clear cache now" command doesn't seem to be working. Formerly, when I cleared the cache, I had to re-login to those websites that normally "remember" my login (because clearing the cache erased that "memory") -- but today, after using the "clear cache now" command, those websites still "remember" my login, which leads me to believe the cache didn't get cleared. Is there any other way to check whether it got cleared?
I was attempting to clear the cache in the faint hope that this might help the above "back" button problem, as no one has yet given me a solution for this that has worked. One person suggested having Firefox re-create the possibly damaged "places.sqlite" and "places.sqlite-journal" files. I tried this, but there was no change to the problem.
I think this problem started around the time I had a few Firefox crashes while using YouTube and doing something else on the computer at the same time.
I just today learned about the "crash signature" -- how to look it up, and to include it in a forum question. However, the crash log did not show these recent crashes, only some others from a few months ago. So, I'm unable to show the crash signature for this.
I'm guessing there's a chance that upgrading to a newer version of Firefox might fix this problem -- but I hesitate to do that, because it occurs to me that it also may be possible that changing the program before fixing this might make it harder to fix. Error message is FAILED TO GET DISPATCH FROM IBRWSR2. Then when you click on it the next error message says: PHTML IS NULL. You have to click this error message twice and then the PDF finally loads. Happened every time

As a last resort I will try uninstalling the Adobe Reader XI and install Adobe Reader 10 instead. It seems to work ok. But when I try to install version 10 the Adobe site tries to install XI. Any ideas?

Quit Safari.
Click out on your desktop somewhere to get Finder menu on the top menu bar. Then look over to the right, and select the "Go" menu while holding down the "Option"button. You will then see an option for "Library" right under your home folder on that list.
That is your hidden Users Library. Open that Library, go down to Caches. Open that, and then look for apple.com.Safari. Take that file to the trash.
Restart Safari.

1. Open Safari, go to Safari menu (on the menu bar) > Preferences > Advanced, and tick "Show Develop menu in menu bar".

Surely, when you click the search button, the value in your item is required by the report (as a parameter).
Create a button (RESET) with a branch back to the same page and use the clear cache in the branch

Unable to clear cache in 3.6.10

Running 3.6.10 and not able to clear cache either manually or automatically. I don't know what else to do as I've done everything the help section says to clear the cache.
I was also unable to install Skype due to a cookie problem. I'm hesitant to reinstall Firefox due to all of my bookmarks.

Did you check that on the about:cache page?

My computer had begun to run slowly, so I followed advice in these pages and installed and ran an application called Cocktail: I ran the daily, weekly and monthly service operations and cleared caches and logs. Now my computer runs much better, but two applications that I have had for some time no longer work. One is an RSS news reader called PluckyX, the other is CarbonErrors. In each case the application's icon has changed.
In the case of PluckyX, it now tries to open using Script Editor, resulting in error messages, and I cannot find any other application to open it with. PluckyX is no longer made and its creator cannot be contacted, but I downloaded another copy from VersionTracker, with the same negative result. I have not yet tried to find a new copy of CarbonErrors.
Can anyone please suggest a solution? It is PluckyX in particular that I should like to revive.

If you are updating Safari (or just have):
Input Managers and other plug-ins from third parties can do as much harm as good. They use a security loophole to reach right into your applications' code and change that code as the application starts up. If you have installed 10.4.11 and Safari is crashing, the very first thing to do is clear out your InputManagers folders (both in your own Library and in the top-level Library), log out and log back in, and try again.
So, disable all third party add-ons before updating Safari, as they may not have been updated yet for the new version. Add them back one by one. If something goes awry, remove it again and check on the software manufacturer's website for news of an update to match your version of Safari. Remember: Tiger up to 10.4.10 used Safari 2.0.4 or, if you downloaded it, Safari 3.0.3 beta. Safari 10.4.11 uses Safari 3.0.4 which is not a beta. If Safari 3.0.4 on 10.4.11 is not the fastest browser you have ever used, then something is wrong!
Moreover, trying to revert to Safari 2 when running 10.4.11 can have repercussions, as Safari 3.0.4 uses a completely different webkit on which other applications like iChat, Mail, Dashboard widgets etc also rely.
Most errors reported here after an update are due to an unrepaired or undetected inherent fault in the system, and/or a third party ad-on. Two such add-on that have been frequently mentioned here, among others, for causing such problems are Piclens and Pithhelmet. If you have them, trash them and go the developer's sites to see if new versions are available for Safari 3.0.4.
In your case PluckyX and Finale are the suspects.
You should also ensure, if you are running Tiger 10.4.11 or Leopard, that you have downloaded and installed the correct version for your Mac of Security Update 2007-009.1.1, which also deals with the Quicktime/Flash issues you may have experienced, as well as the latest Java update.

One of the websites that doesn't load is google.com! It loads some of the page, just some menu items at the top of the page. Then, it hangs and remains in the Loading state (with the spinning wheel and "Loading" in the tab) indefinitely.
The problem started after 3.6.11 was installed. I'm on Mac OS 10.6.4.
I would be happy if you just showed me where I can download 3.6.10. Also, is there anything special I have to do if installing an older version?

I ended up going into the clear history settings and setting it to clear history when Firefox closes and chosing it to clear history and cooking and browsing history when Firefox closes. Now the links work fine and the last page I was looking at before I closed Firefox is no longer there when it opens again. Problem solved!
