Clearbox 3 Copy/Paste Code Failing...

So, I have a site I made with an image gallery... I have used Clearbox 3 and love it! So, I go an put 21 pictures up on the gallery... on the site, every image is in the "images/gallery" folder, and the thumbnails are in the "images/gallery/thumbs" folder...
Example:

I copied this code and pasted it 20 more times for all of my photos, changing the descriptions, file names, and alt text as necessary. Worked great. So, today I go an add one more photo to my gallery. Same way, copied, pasted, changed as needed. In DW, the thing works great - thumbs show up, pictures load, everything is happy. I uploaded it to my host and no browser will work - it loads all the 21 other photos, but will NOT load the new photo or thumbnail at all... file names and locations are CORRECT (checked numerous times and had another person verify no spelling errors) and all punctuations needed appear to be correct as compared to the same exact lines above it... files are in the correct locations and named the correct things on the server, too...
Any idea why it may be doing this?

How about replacing the waffle with a link to the site. That way we can figure out what is going wrong.

Need help with copy/paste in CSS

Hey,
I am 3 lessons into a Dreamweaver class so that is the extent of my knowledge. For some reason when I copy/paste code from one CSS sheet to another the code is present etc. but when I go back into the HTML file to view the changes, nothing happened. I verified the coding and they are all correct etc. When I cut and paste new code into an HTML file, it works no problem so why is it not accepting the changes in the CSS? It is not even happening when I copy and paste an image. The image has text with it and rules set up but when I copy/paste , the rules don't apply and it has to be reformatted etc. I have even taken the code and manually typed it into the CSS and still nothing. I am beyond stumped with this.
Can anyone please shed some light on this? Thanks!!

So, you confirm that the code you copied is now present in the alternate CSS file, right?
but when I go back into the HTML file to view the changes, nothing happened.
To understand this we would need to see a) the code that you pasted into the original CSS file, and b) the HTML on the page. Can you paste those two snippets into a reply here?
The remainder of your post suggests to me that you are pasting HTML into a CSS file. You do know that is not going to work, right?

Pasting code via command-V intermittent. Fix anyone?

Ever since I upgraded to Dreamweaver CC, this has been happening:
I work exclusively in Source Code view. When I copy/paste code, the command-V paste command doesn't always work. I often have to hit command-V twice, and it always works the second time.
This is driving me crazy. It doesn't happen with any other applications.
OS X 10.9.4
Dreamweaver CC 2014 (latest update)
Does anyone have a fix?

OS X - Copy Paste doesn't seem to Work Here!

Hi...
In AME, I strive to set an output folder. I DONT want to have to write the same name all over again
So I try to copy and paste.
So I click the output path which opens an OS X Browser. I click New Folder and hit Apple+V to paste.
Nothing happens. I have to right-click in the name field and choose PASTE to do that.
Wonder if it is my machine only or a BUG !

Whether the bug is in AME or OS X is rather inconsequential. It affects the AME experience, therefore Adobe needs to be aware of it. If our investigation shows that OS X is the cause of the problem then we can send it to Apple via their developer bug report system.
In this case, I believe it is a bug in AME. Rather, it is an unimplemented feature; it feels like the copy/paste code just never got hooked up to this dialog. Doing so is apparently the responsibility of the app developer, though I also see the argument that Apple should enable it by default. To verify that such behavior was possible, I compared AME's behavior to the same repro steps in After Effects. Copy/paste works with the similar dialog in After Effects, therefore there is reasonable expectation that we can make it work in AME.
(FWIW, that means that yes, I did file this bug already. And no, me filing the bug internally is not a good excuse for you not to do the same if you haven't already. Seriously, folks, bugs filed by customers carry more weight than bugs filed internally. It's proof that our customers are affected by the problem. That doesn't necessarily mean the bug will get fixed faster, but it does give it a better chance.)

Getting rid of Multiple Spaces in Code View (after Copying/Pasting)

Hello,
I'm trying to find a way to get rid of multiple spaces between words in Dreamweaver CS3's code view.
Oftentimes, when I copy/paste text from elsewhere (e-mail, website, etc), the Dreamweaver code shows up with multiple spaces. Normally, that wouldn't be problem -- except that my blog's auto-tag plug-in doesn't detect selected phrases when there are multiple spaces between words, e.g., it'll detect "Swiss Alps" in a post but not "Swiss Alps" (notice the extra space between words in the second phrase).
If at all possible, I'd like to be able to keep Dreamweaver's text formatting option when I copy and paste, as that means I don't need to manually put words in bold/italics.So, is there a way to keep that option while getting rid of all the extra spacing between words?
By the way, I'm familiar with Wordpress CSS, but not with Dreamweaver CSS. Not sure if there's any difference.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

I make it a point to never paste formatted text into HTML pages. Formatted text from MS Office usually contains a variety of junk you don't want and I don't have that much faith in MS Word code removal tools.
Bold and Italics from Word or Outlook should be changed to current HTML tags of <strong> for bold and <em> or emphasis for italics anyway. Also see Logical Tags here:

Did you try to paste by right-clicking or by typing Ctrl + V ?
Sometimes the former doesn't work but the latter works. -- My own experience.

Thanks...that was one of the things I first tried. I did a save as another document.
I also resized the image in PS so it would be at 100% of size, figuring that would help and I made the image box's background white instead of none, but nothing so far.
It almosat seems like it is coming from the origianl template file?

Copy/Paste/Clipboard Problem; Pastes only as SVG Code

I have Illustrator CC installed, as well as Illustrator CS6, running Windows 7 x64, latest patchlevel. When I try to copy and paste objects in Illustrator CC, I always get a SVG code. I draw a simple rectangular, copy it, paste it, it's not pasted as a rectangular, it's pasted as SVG code. Same with an embedded JPEG. Copy it. paste it. et voila, SVG code...
In Illustrator CS6 everything works as i would expect it. Highlight object, cmd+c, cmd+v, ok.
In CC, highlight object, cmd+c, cmd+v => svg code [ etc. pp.] This always happens, no matter where (copy in illustrator cc, paste in the same illustrator document, word, photoshop, etc) or what (drawn object, jpeg, embedded, linked, gif).. I've tried different clipboard settings in Illustrator CC, it makes no difference.

Of cause it is, but still I think it's a bug.
I don't think it should work this way. First, Include SVG Code to me is not equal to Replace copied objects by SVG Code. When I copy an object from an Illustrator file and then try to paste it back into an Illustrator file, why should I get code instead? Second, that code was not pasted every time. Just about every second or third time. Sometimes it worked with a single object, sometimes to get that SVG code I had to copy/paste multiple objects, while pasting single objects worked as expected. So, to me it looks like a bug.
And anyway, even if this function is supposed to replace objects with code, it should not be ON by default, not all of Illustrator users are developers. My estimate, most of us are not, actually.

Copy & pasting a Google code

I am getting ready to copy & paste Google Analytic's tracking code (for a single domain) so that my website can be tracked by Google Analytics. However, on one of the instruction pages the following is stated: "Be sure to copy the snippet and paste it directly onto your website using either a text editor or an editor that preserves code formatting. We recommend that you do not use a word processor to copy the snippet from your account. Doing so can add an extra space or change the quotation marks in the tracking snippet, which requires precise formatting in order to work."
Well, I'm pretty ignorant about computer terminology. Is the previous statement saying that it is not advisable to use your comuter's mouse to copy the code and then directly paste it onto each page of my website?
Furthermore, I'm suppose to paste it immediately prior to the closing </head> tag. On most (or all) of my website pages, the closing </head> tag is immediately preceded by > So should I paste the Google code BETWEEN the >< ?

Mike what they are saying is dont use a word processing program to copy and paste it because it will space out the coding improperly. I honestly dont know who would do that anyways. You can copy and paste with a mouse.
The code just as it is to be copied gets pasted anywhere after the <head> and before the closing </head> tags.
You dont have to paste it on every page just the index page.
You can look into using statcounter (statcounter.com) as well. I find it easier to work with. Its still good to use the google one though because google uses it to help index the pages into their search engine so its a plus. I use both google and statcounter.

Same deal with me except the right button has failed twice. You may find that if you push on it past the click with a bit more force it will respond. They swapped the hardware and same thing occurred.
HP should be ashamed that they would put such awful mouse hardware on its flagship product. Whoever designed it should be fired.
If HP had any customer loyalty they would offer a hardware update and offer it to those who are still under warranty.
Suffice to say I will never, ever purchase an HP workstation again.

Can't copy and paste codes since upgrade

When I upgraded my itunes I haven't been able to copy and paste codes every since, I have to type each letter/number in. I'm losing free codes. Anyone have a fix? thanks

First, Try using Disk Utility to repair your startup disk (hard drive) as shown in Dr.Smokes Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption. This should be done before every update. And repairing permissions should be done before and after. They are both covered in Smokes link.
If you still have trouble, download the combo update from this site (yours may be corrupt), not Software Update, disconnect all firewire + USB devices except keyboard + mouse, Repair Permissions, re-install update, Repair Permissions again + try. Yours is the 10.4.6 Combo update (this is for non-intel Macs). Others reading, download the Combo that applies to your system.

Extract All Embedded Files in All Folders and Save Each? Copy/Paste from PDF to Word?

I have most of what I need here, but I’m missing 2 important pieces.
#1) I want to copy/paste from all PDF files in a folder and paste the copied data into a single Word file.
It works fine if I have ONLY Word docs in my folder. When I have PDF files and Word files, the contents of the Word files are copied in fine, but the contents of the PDF files seem to come in as Chinese, and there is no Chinese in
the PDF, so I have no idea where that’s coming from.
#2) I want to extract all embedded files (in all my Word files) and save the extracted/opened file into the folder. Some embedded files are PDFs and some are Excel files.

Based on the code, you were insert the file via the code Selection.InsertFile. I am trying to reproduce this issue however failed. I suggest that you insert the PDF file manually to see whether this issue relative to the specific file. You can insert PDF
file via Insert->Text->Object->Text from file.
If this issue also could reproduced manually, I would suggest that you reopen a new thread in forum to narrow down whether this issue relative to the specific PDF file or Word application.

We can save the embedded spreadsheet via Excel object model. Here is an example that check the whether the inlineshape is an embedded workbook and save it to the disk for you reference:

Can't get Typekit to work with localhost (also, another weird issue with copy+paste)

I've searched through the other posts already, and I *think* I've tried all the solutions, but I still can't get the typekit fonts on my machine.
I'm trying to use the "orator-std" font. In the "kit editor", in the "kit settings -> kit settings" tab I have for name "localhost" (w/o quotes) and for domains just "127.0.0.1" (w/o quotes).
Then (AFTER saving the settings from that tab), I go back into edge animate, I start a new font by clicking that + sign next to "fonts", in the "library" tab. I set the "font fallback list" to ' "orator-std",sans-serif ' (w/ quotes, w/o single quotes), and then go back to the open browser and go to the "embed code", copy both lines of javascript, go back to edge animate, and... nothing. It won't let me change ANY text in this box anymore after the window loses focus. I have to press "cancel" and try again. So this time, I just type in the orator-std... blah blah, same as last time, but paste in the code successfully as it was already in the clipboard and I didn't need to make the window lose focus. Okay, so I click "Add font", and apply the font to my text. Nothing happens.
Huh... well the "Font's from T" picture is showing up in the bottom right of my screen, so that's odd. I go to preview in chrome, still ugly old sans-seriff there, also with the "Font's from T" logo in the bottom right.
I figure "okay, probably just takes a second... or a minute... or w/e like the message said." Well this was at least an hour ago, so something is still wrong.
I would love to just delete the font and start from scratch... maybe something got screwed up along the way and it would fix things to just start from scratch. Well... "sorry" says edge animate... can't let you delete that! In the "libarary" tab, there's only one font visible, it says "orator-std,sans-serif" (w/o quotes). If I right click it, the only option is "delete" and it's greyed out.
I tried doing one with arial instead of sans-serif just now, still not working, but everything shows up in arial now instead of sans-serif... so that's something I guess.
Apologies if this is just a simple problem that I'm just somehow not grasping. Please accept this legitimate bug report as payment... the er copy paste bug, I mean...

Hi Trevor,
I'm sorry you ran into trouble here. Typekit can be used locally. However there are some necessary steps that if left out, will cause the fonts not to render. In order to use Typekit locally, you've got to:
1. Be running a local server when testing your site in the browser. You can tell if you're running a local server by the URL of the local site. If it starts with: file:// then you are just viewing the local file in a browser and not running it from a local server.
If the local URL starts with: http:// then you're running a local server.
2. The domain of your local server has to be part of the domain list in your Kit. So, if your local server uses: localhost, you'll need to add this to your Kit's domains.
