Client copy failed in SCM without livecache

Hi,
I am executing client copy on a SCM-EWM system with profile SAP_ALL. Client copy failed with error. How can I find what tables are not being copied?
The copy fail at post processing steps for this exit program "/SAPAPO/OM_CLNT_COPY_UPLOAD". My SCM system is not using LiveCache.
How do I confirm the copy is successful?

    Remote client copy fails.
The error message and info is given below. Help me to proceed.
    Client copy
The client copy you started has terminated
Client Copy could not start because of Repository differences
    Diagnosis
The table definitions differ between the systems. These differences mean that a copy of the data can cause a data loss and system inconsistencies. Differences occur when further developments were not transported or were copied between different maintenance levels.
    Procedure
Transport all the developments of table structures between the systems using the Transport Organizer and bring your system to the same development level.
It is observed that some tables are missing in the target system. How do I copy the table structures to the target system?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello Ashraf,
There are repository differences between you source and traget system.
If you want to get the list of repository differences, then run a RFC check before you execute remote clinet copy.
You have to then remove these repository differences before you start with the remote client copy.
to remove the difference you have to:
"Transport all the developments of table structures between the systems using the Transport Organizer and bring your system to the same development level" as mentioned above
I would recommend you to go for Export / Import rather than Remote client copy.
There are several advantages of export import method over remote clinet copy

I ran the report "RSCLICHK" on the target client and below are the results. There are  some table differences. How do i syncronnize the tables so that i can successfully complete the remote client copy? Do i make the table changes on the source system or the target system? I was also told that the table changes will take days to complete. What is the most efficient way to syncronize the tables?

  • SCM without LiveCache

    Hi, Gurus!
We have SAP SCM 7.0 (SR1)
LiveCache are installed but I want that the ERP-data transfered to SCM-system passing by LiveCache...
    It`s posible?
    Best regards, Tim

    Hi Tim,
whether or not a liveCache is required depends on what kind of planning you're doing with SCM.
(That is: for those SCM functions where a liveCache is required there is no way around it!)
Please check the SCM information in the service marketplace, e.g.
    -> SCM -> TECHNOLOGY
    http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000198000&
There open the "liveCache Overview" document.
Another good starting point for general questions like yours is the liveCache homepage SAP liveCache technology here in SDN.
    regards,
    Lars

  • Unable to login to IDES system after client copy

    Hi guys
the IDES system which i was using was working fine. I was trying CLient copy today morning and was trying to create a new client in the IDES system.
The client copy failed due to a shortdump in the process.
Now i am unable to login to the client 800 as it says the user password is incorrect.
How do i get back my 800 client? is there a way to get back the client 800 or do i have any other optionn to re-set the password without logging on to the client?
i do have access to client 000.
please guide me what should i do? i need the client 800 back and should be able to login too.

    hi,
i cannot login to client 800. I need to login first in the client 800 to go to su01 to re-set the password.
I want to login to client 800 which i am unable to do as a result of client copy. So the other option i am looking at is reset the password from client 000.
    anyways thanks for your inputs
    Hi guys,
    any idea?

    Torsten,
Are you doing a local client copy in a SCM System. I can see it fails & is looking for SCM specific fn modules & user exits.
If yes, has a look at this notes there are some steps that needs to be done for the transactional date:
894490 - Client copy: Transactional data
And re-post it in the SCM forum: SAP Advanced Planning & Optimization (SAP APO)

  • SCM/APO - Livecache client copies?

The basis team have been asked to do a client copy (refresh) from
production for ECC, CRM, BW & SCM. I know how to perform the client copybut am not aware of what post processing has to happen with LC(Maxdb).
Does this have to be refreshed??? Please provide location of
documentation to perform this. I stress this is not a system copy but a
    client copy.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Extraction failing after source system and client copy

    Hi all,
We refreshed our source QA system with a copy of production.  And basically tried to "restore" the connection from our BW QA system.  Some of the datasources can be extracted from BW, others fail with an error of "No transfer structure is available for InfoSource 0COSTCENTER_ATTR in the source system".
Trying to do the same thing with RSA3 in the source system, works fine.
The strange thing is it works for some objects but not others.
    here's what we did:
    1. System copy from R3 Prod to R3 QA
    2. Client copy with R3 QA client 300 -> 200
    3. Restore connectivity in BW QA to the R3 QA system (Using RSA1 -> Source  System -> Restore)
    4. Now some objects can be extracted in BW, others fail as I mentioned above.
I have regenerated the transfer structures in BW and R3.
All of these objects that don't work seem to work in RSA3 on the R3 system but not in RSA1 on BW.
All the SAP documentation is geared to copying the R3 source system and then restoring connectivity between BW and R3.  I don't think any of it involves copying the client in the R3 source system - which might be causing our problems.
We are using an SAP delivered PDF and note 886102 mainly for direction.
SAP PDF is "How to... System Copy in SAP Business Intelligence System Landscapes".
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Kevin

    Hi,
can you isolate somehow the kind of DataSource which works and those who don't?
Master data / transactional or client dependent and not, delta or full....
To which R/3 client is your BW connected? when you succeed loading the data, is it coming from the right client?
RSA3: do you run it specifying your BW client in the target sys field? does it make a difference if yes or if not?
Are your RFC connections and partner profiles all right?
Check some IDOCs sent by BW received in R/3 and vice-versa (RSSEND, RSINFO, RSRQST..). Load a hierarchy (via IDOC)... verify that your IDOC have the correct partner settings....
    let us know
    Olivier.

  • Local client copy of 000 after installation fails

I'm trying to install XI. I installed Web AS 6.40 (from the SR1 installation) ABAP stack. Before installing the Java Add-In I need to make a copy of client 000. I login using client 000 and SAP*, goto SCCL and without even getting to the transaction I get the following error message:
"Target client is prodductive and protected against client copy."
(It's message no. TA133) -- I got into SCC4 (like help suggested) and the only users I have are 000 and 066 ("Test EarlyWatch Profiles"). 000 is set to "SAP Reference", not "Productive".
The thing is I never even get to enter the target client; I never get to enter anything in the transaction, it throws me out immediatly.
I managed to get a step further by following these steps:
    1. Using SCC4 I created a copy 000 (001)
    2. Logged out from 000
    3. Logged in using 001 and SAP*/PASS
    4. Went to SCC4, deleted the 001 entry and saved (if I don't delete it I get the same error as before)
Then when I went to SCCL (while still logged in with the deleted 001 client) I got the transaction. It put 001 as the target (which is fine by me), I selected a copy profile but and selected 000 as the source -- but when I tried to execute I got the same problem as before.
(I'm sure it's apparent that the whole ABAP world is new to me this is just me trying to install an XI test system in the office.)
    What am I missing here?
    Thanks,
    Alon.

    hi alon,
what do you mean with 1) (copy 000 to 001)?
just create a new client in SCC4, make sure that the parameter "client role" isn't set to "productive".
log on as sap*/pass in the new client and use SCCL to make a copy.

  • SCM client copy- Problem in CIF

    Hi,
Recently we done client copy from production system to test system for both SCM as well as ecc system.
Problem is Master data  is with logical system name of production system in APO.
We defined only logical system names for ECC and SCM client and kept name of buisness system group naming same as production to avoid this problem.
But there is problem in resoure external capacity logical system name is same as production only.
It is not feasible to delete all trasaction data and master data from APO and retransfer.
How can we change logical system name in resource?
I came to know that there  isprogram to convert  logical system name in customization as well as master data?
If this is true can you give name of program in APO as well as ECC if any?
    Regards,
    Santosh

    Hi Santosh ,
Yes there is a report to change the logical system name from resource.
Report name is: /SAPAPO/CHANGE_BSG_RESOURCE for which the program  need be included in your system as per code given in Note 924136 - Change of the LOGQS (BSG) for resources.
    This will resolve your requirement...

  • SCM / PI Client Copy

Does anyone have experience not using the preconfigured client (001) in PI or SCM?  We've copied those to 010 to match the productive client number of the rest of our systems.
Is this a bad idea?  Should we stay with the preconfigured client?  It does say in the installation post steps to do a client copy as well.  Thank you.
    ~TJ

    Hi TJ
No, think that is absolutely fine.
We have done that on numerous occasions.
Copying from client 001 is as good as working in 001.
The client copy should be fine for 010, which you have done.
    Thanks

  • Client copy without Org structure

    Greetings-
We have recently performed client copies.  We used the setting SAP_CUST (customizing only).  However, we have discovered that this ended up transporting all of our Org/PD tables.  We create org/pd independently in each client, and have auto transport of PD turned off (t77s0>trsp/corr).
Is there any way to perform a client copy without bringing over the PD information?
    Thanks in advance!

A client copy does just that, copies the entire client.  So unfortunately, no.

The problem you have is, that your TEMP tablespace is too small on the target system, you need to increase it.
Check Note 3155 - Termination due to tablespace overflow
