Client proxy and XI

Hi all,
When a client proxy is called (in R/3), how do we know which Receiver Determination will be taken in XI ? I mean is there somewhere in the client proxy where it is specified ?
Thanks in advance

Hi Elliot
<b>When a client proxy is called (in R/3), how do we know which Receiver Determination will be taken in XI ? I mean is there somewhere in the client proxy where it is specified ?</b>
see XI uses proxies when communicating with SAP system like R/3.
As u know proxies are adapterless communication.u dont need any sender agrrement.
u have to do the reciever determination step in ID...
actually ur question is a bit confusing....can u explain ur question lil bit more !!

    hi all,
    could u explain me the differences between client proxy and server proxy,
    regards,
    AVR

    Hi AV,
    simple search in sdn may answer your question,
    There are two type of Proxy's in ABAP and JAVA(Clinet and Server),
    Clinet ABAP proxy used to send message from ANY SAP System to Integration server,in this case XI adapter not required .
    Server ABAP proxy used to send messages from Intergration server to any SAP System,in this case XI Adapter required.
    How to implement ABAP proxy comunication refer below link
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/stage/ABAPproxyproviderimplementationand+testing
    The sama way Client JAVA proxy used to send message to Integration sever from any Web Application ,
    Server JAVA proxy used to send messages to any destination system ,in both cases XI adapter required.

  • Need some help in creating client proxy to call webservice

    Hi experts,
    I am new to ABAP so couldnt understand the SAP ABAP jargons.
    On of my colleague has written one search help exit function and i need to use that and have to write client proxy to establish connection to webservice.
    I never worked on proxy or webservice so, struggling to understand the concept and steps.
    I am following second part i.e Release 640 part of /people/thomas.jung3/blog/2004/11/17/bsp-a-developers-journal-part-xiv--consuming-webservices-with-abap weblog.
    I couldnt find "To get the process started, we turn to our old friend SE80. <b>From the Enterprise Services Tab, we are going to select Client Proxy and then hit create"</b>
    when i go to transaction se80 ObjectNavigator, i could see two dropdown lists after some tabs.
    in first list, I have selected, "Application Hierarchy", and in second I am selecting "Package".
    Not sure whether its correct or not.
    Once i do this i could see long list of <b>Object name and its description.</b>
    Now, what should i do ? where should i go for "Enterprise Services Tab" to create my proxy.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Please send me PDF, having detailed steps to create client proxy.
    Thanks,
    Pranav

    Right click on the package and select Proxy object. In the Wizard select Service Consumer.
    then give the url of the WSDL file you want to access or path if u have a local file.
    then give the package for client proxy.
    then complete the wizard. the  client proxy will be create in that package.
    Next step will be creating a Logical Port using the transaction "lpconfig". Give the proxy name of the service interface created under client proxy. and set the configuration as follows.
    1. Make as a default port.
    2. in the URL, give the url of the webservice (.asmx)
    3. select "State Enabled" and "Message ID"
    and after creating a logical port,  set the proxy settings as in your webbrowser.
    (Http proxy server and port).
    then simply execute your webservice from SE80.

  • Direct Connection ABAP Proxy and Java Proxy possible ????

    Hi Folks ,
    As i read as direct connection possible between 2 SAP systems only ..
    and also i read as WS Direct Connection u2013 (Java) ..
    What it means ?? is it ABAP Proxy to Java Proxy using Direct connection ??  Like Java Client Proxy and ABAP Server proxy
    I am not clear on this.. Could you please explain or help me on this . ??
    Siva..

    Hi ,
    +You can do both for java proxies as well Abap proxies.+
    As per the following points
    1. Point-to-point connection is a new capability available with SAP NW PI 7.1. It allows applications or systems to send messages using WS-RM without going through a middleware, e.g. PI, but still using a centralized tool to design and
    configure the interfaces and connection properties.
    2. SAP XI 3.0/PI 7.00 or higher releases can be licensed based on the total volume of messages in
    gigabytes (GB) that is processed per month. The size of the payload is determined in the integration
    server. The information is then aggregated according to sender and receiver system.
    Question :
    1. If Message exchange between 2 SAP applications using direct connection .. Then dont we need to consider about licencing cost for volume of messages per month ?
    2. So if i use ABAP Client Proxy to Java Server proxy  scenario.. can i use direct connection  ? Eg., SAP ECC to java application ?
    In both the cases PI Runtime is not required  .. Am i right ?
    Please clarify..

  • Not getting response from Client Proxy

    Hi,
    We are developing a scenario - File->PI->Proxy using ABAP Proxies.We are posting a file thru PI 7.0 to R/3 .In R/3 the server proxy(Inbound Asynchronous) will receive the message and BAPI will be called. The response from the BAPI will be reaching the server proxy and passed to the client proxy(Outbound Asynchronous).
       Server Proxy(request) --> BAPI --> Server Proxy(response) --> Client Proxy(response)
    The response from the client proxy has to be send to PI and a file will be generated as the output.
    Can anyone provide me suggestions to call client proxy from a server proxy by passing the response message to client proxy???
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Dibyajyoti

    Hi,
    I hope, you are done till the Implementation of Server Proxy, where you are calling a Bapi and passing the Input variables the Interface received and BAPI is giving a response back.
    Now your question, how to send the response back Asynchronously.
    I think, you have to do the same, what you do for a client proxy  and at last  call the method EXECUTE_ASYNCHRONOUS before the Final Commit Staement. I think this should work.
    But using Synchronous Interface in such cases is always a handy and easier option.

  • Web service client proxy thread safe?

    Is the jax-ws web service client proxy and port objects thread safe in Weblogic 10.3.4?
    Been searching through the docs but can't find any info on this.

    I have searched and it seems that with cxf it's safe to do something like this.
    Nobody knows if this is safe using metro?

  • Abap client proxy

    All,
    I have created a client proxy in CRM system and i have tested in from SE80 and everything works i retrieve data and works fine.
    But now i have created a test program where i use a client proxy and i send the request with the same parameters, but i do not receive any response.
    I have created the proxy object with the logical port and no exception is being throwed, any idea?
    Regards
    Jon

    Hi Jon,
    Whenever something unexpected happens, I think it's best to find out if a request has been sent out correctly from the client proxy and received by the web service.
    If the web service is an SAP web service, you can use the following
    1. SRT_UTIL transaction. You can find out more from the link below
    http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/ABAPConn/ABAP+Web+Service+Monitors
    2. You may want to enable logging and tracing as well.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/2f/9eddbb74b84775931ca9f2297c77be/content.htm
    Hope this helps.

  • REST Client Proxy Question

    Objective: To call REST service from PB12.5.2 Classic application.
    Current implementation: Using MSXML and INET objects to call GET and POST methods.
    Problem: This implementation works fine until we have bulk calls (like 100K calls to the service in a single session). Sometimes it errors out because the XML sent to the service is 0 bytes (as seen on Fiddler)
    Better alternative: Can we create a new PB.NET PB assembly with a REST client proxy and call the proxy function from our PB classic application? Can we build DLL and reference it from our classic application?
    Is there any working example of the same?
    Bruce - I have seen your example in http://brucearmstrong.sys-con.com/node/2133766/mobile
    You talk about calling the WCF service from the classic application, have you tried the REST service call? I have followed the same steps you have mentioned and hit a roadblock when it came to the REGASM command, not sure which DLL to register now that I have 3 different DLLs. I have explained the steps I have taken in this document - http://www.pbgeeks.com/wp-content/uploads/pbnet.docx
    Thanks,
    Praveen

    You notes show:
    REST client assembly:          CalcPremrequest.dll
    Wrapper assembly:               restsvc_assembly.dll
    The wrapper assembly should already be strong named in the project.  The assembly that doesn't get strong named when PB generates it is the REST client assembly.  That's the one that you'll need to disassemble to IL and then recompile with a strong key name file in order to give it a strong name.  Your document shows you're doing that on the wrapper.
    Both assemblies need to be added to the GAC if that is where you are going to have them.
    You might start out without signing the REST client assembly, and just using the /codebase argument to REGASM to have it create registry entries that point to the local file location.  Once you have it working that way you can then deal with adding the assemblies to the GAC.
    The error you are getting may be a result of the wrapper assembly getting corrupted when you attempted to strong name it.

  • Client Proxy(WSDL file) via Se80

    Hello
    We have a client proxy created against a WSDL file (http/url) in SE80 and we are using it currently it.
    Now the WSDL file is going to change a little. I want to use the same client proxy and only change the  WSDL file with the new WSDL file? How can i acheive this?
    I can create a new client proxy and associate WSDL file but i need to change a lot of place in code where we create instances of this abap proxy class.Hence i want to reuse the same client proxy while changing the WSDL file alone.
    Any guidance or pointers will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Abishek

    Hi Stuart,
    Cool. This solves my issue. If I choose the "regenerate" button(see attached image) then I am prompted to enter a new WSDL URL or file.
    Thanks!

  • Problem Calling a Client Proxy from ABAP which is based on an extension

    I'm trying to create an Asset in Salesforce from SAP using ABAP.
    I have exported the enterprise WSDL from Salesforce, generated a client proxy and have coded the login call and passed the session id to the create call.
    The problem I am having is the create method references sobject however asset is an extension of this.
                <complexType name="Asset">
                    <complexContent>
                        <extension base="ens:sObject">
                            <sequence>
                            <element name="Account" nillable="true" minOccurs="0" type="ens:Account"/>
                            <element name="AccountId" nillable="true" minOccurs="0" type="tns:ID"/>
                            <-- many more fields here -->
                            </sequence>
                        </extension>
                    </complexContent>
                </complexType>
    I need to pass something like this (tested and working using SOAPUI)
             <urn:sObjects xsi:type="urn:Asset"
                       xmlns:ns3="urn:sobject.enterprise.soap.sforce.com">
                   <urn:AccountId>001A000000HoyKZ</urn:AccountId>
                   <urn:Name>JWSOAPTEST Asset3</urn:Name>
                            <-- many more fields here -->
            </urn:sObjects>
    I tried modifying the WSDL so sobject referrs to Asset
                <!-- Create Message Types -->
                <element name="create">
                    <complexType>
                        <sequence>
                            <!-- element name="sObjects" type="ens:sObject" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded" -->
                           <element name="sObjects" type="ens:Asset" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded"/>
                        </sequence>
                    </complexType>
                </element>
                <element name="createResponse">
                    <complexType>
                        <sequence>
                            <element name="result" type="tns:SaveResult" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded"/>
                        </sequence>
                    </complexType>
                </element>
    However other types it referred to weren't populated.
    The other approache may be to manually populate the xml similar to what I had to do in the header (this link gives a good overview on this Consume web service in ABAP proxy with SOAP header )
    Any recommendations or advice would be appreciated.
      Ideally some sample code if someone has done this or a recommendation on how to modify the WSDL.

  • ABAP client proxy create error

    Hi,
    When I try to create a client proxy web service (se80), I get the error "Error when creating HTTP client: URL: Error:Connection Parameters (Host or Service) Not Availa Message no. SPRX137"
    I want to consume a web service (by reading a wsdl from an url) from my own network. the ICM seems to work fine.
    Any ideas?
    thanks,
    Raymond Does

    Hi Praveen,
    Actualy I am not using XI. I would like to connect to the web service by creating a client proxy and then calling the web service with an ABAP program.
    I that case, do I have to do the SPROXY settings as well?
    While debugging the creation of the client proxy I saw that the urls to the wsdl and xsd files (my wsdl is refering to them) did not have the complete http://..etc.. text but only the last part (like 'SystemGetInfo.wsdl'). It seems that the client proxy generation program cannot handle this url data.
    Please let me know what to do.
    Regards,

  • Client Proxy call error

    Hi,
    I created a client proxy and a logical port. The wsdl file was delivered to me. The generation was okay.
    I inserted the method into a abap program.
    When I call the method I get the error message:
    SoapFaulCodeName: ActionNotSupported |SoapFaulCodeNamespace: http://schemas.microsoft.com/ws/2005/05/addressing/none The message with Action 'GetPayoutPerformance' cannot be processed at the receiver, due to a ContractFilter mismatch at the EndpointDispatcher. This may be because of either a contract mismatch (mismatched Actions between sender and receiver) or a binding/security mismatch between the sender and the receiver.  Check that sender and receiver have the same contract and the same binding (including security requirements, e.g. Message, Transport, None).
    Where do I check these settings? Or is it possible that the logical port is wrong?
    Any idea/ help?
    Thank you and regards

    Hi Viktoria,
    i created Service Consumer for WebService on NON-SAP system via URL.  i got the following first error when test it. and then i created a logical port which is same name with this Service Consumer. last i got this same error with yours. how did you solve it? can you explain please? thanks in advance.

    What to be given in SLD for client proxy and server proxy as well?

    Hi,
    Only the database name can be specified in JDBC communication channel. The table should given in receiver data type in Integration Repository.
    Refer these link for sql-xml data types to be followed for JDBC scenario.

  • Web-Service Proxy and Web-Service Client access in a Bean (EJB 3.0)

    Hello Community,
    i want to access the SAP Knowledge-Management via the Webservice "RepositoryFrameworkWS", which resides on our Portal-System, from my Java-Application, which runs on a NW CE 7.11 Ehp1 Java Server.
    I choosed to create a WS-Client as a deployable client. So i created an Bean Project, imported the WSDL and created a WS-Proxy in that project. Additionaly i added some beans to that Bean-Project which use the WS-Proxy to access the KM.
    So far so good.
    But the WSDL also creates a Service-Endpoint, which already has an url for the WS-Target and Authentication-Information (in my case it seems that no Authentication is active) in its body.
    Because my client shell run on different systems in the future i searched for a way to easiliy deploy my application and adapt target-information elsewhere. I found in the documentation, that after deploying the deployable WS-Proxy/Client this can be done in the NW-Administrator under SOA-Management->Application and Scenario Communication->Single Service Administration.
    To my surprise i found my deployed WS there. And the entry for the there listed Port was configurable. But unfortunatly this customization is ignored by the application. For example i changed authentication to a HTTP-Authentication with a specific user and also changed to Target-URL. But with no success.
    What's wrong here?
    i accessed the WS in my bean in the following way:
        public Class xyz
         @WebServiceRef (name="RepositoryFrameworkWS")
         RepositoryFrameworkWS service;
          RepositoryFrameworkWSViDocument vi = service.getPort(RepositoryFrameworkWSViDocument.class);
         vi.findResources(rid,....)

    Edited by: Matthias Hayk on Sep 15, 2009 10:13 AM

    Hi Matthias
    In Single Service Administration there are two views: Webservices and WS Clients configurations. First of all you should enable BASIC HTTP authentication in WS configuration. Then go to WS Client configuration and enter user/password in HTTP BASIC authentication settings.
    Hope this help.
