Clipping Paths not coming through a few times

Our newspaper recently upgraded our system from OS9/Quark 4.11 to OS Leopard 10.5.4/InDesign CS3. The transition for the most part has been smooth. A glitch that has popped up is about 1 in 20 clipping path images that are created in Photoshop CS3 lose the path when printing the InDesign document to a pdf page. Sometimes the missing path will show in the pdf when reprinting and reDistilling. There are four work stations, all with identical 24" iMacs, software and settings. Any suggestions to solve this mystery?

I am having a similar problem. I silo the image in photoshop that needs multiple paths. When I place the image in InDesign i lose the inner path on a couple places but the outer path is in place. We tried this on another Mac in Photoshop and it worked fine. Any ideas anyone???
I'm having the same issue. Also, the paths that *do* come through are inverted, so I'm having to invert those through InDesign to ensure that the actual object that the path was around is importing, other than the background of the image.

  • Trouble with Meeting Requests not coming through - GMail to Exchange

    I've just started trying to get a handle on all the thing my wife schedules for me around the kids. I've tried to get her to send me meeting requests so they go on my calendar but a lot of the time they're just not coming through. I get all of her emails and I get meeting requests all day long but there seems to be a problem getting the meeting requets from her.
    She has an iPhone 4S and I have an iPhone 5 both running IOS 6.
    She has gmail set up as Exchange in Mail on the iPhone.
    I have a true MS Exchange account set up on the iPhone
    She will create an event and add my work email as the invitee. It will show up on her phone but never come through sometimes.
    Sometimes I've noticed that on her phone my name has a question mark next to it in the invite.
    Any ideas? Any direction?

  • Email attachments not coming through

    I am having trouble getting attachments in emails. Some of them come through and other do not. Most of them do not. I get a message that says "this message has not been downloaded from the server" What does this mean and why are they not coming through. I have 3 emails set up. My work email on an Exchange Server, Yahoo and Cox.net. Any suggestions or help would be grateful.

    I assume these are pop email accounts?
    If so, when on edge the speed is slower so attachments take longer to actually load than the email does. You may see the email show the headers and first few lines in preview, you may even get the email notification noise, but if you access the email before the full attachment is downloaded you will get the message not downloaded from server message.
    Two options:
    1 - wait longer for the attachments to download before accessing the email, make sure the spinning circle is done spinning - when I was on pop, depending on the size of the attachment, I had to wait up to 30 minutes to get the email AND attachment to download.
    2 - switch to an imap account and this issue basically goes away.

    Open Messages. Then go to the Menu and click on Messages. In the drop down select Preferences. Choose the accounts tab. If you have already added your iCloud account then remove it and add it again.

    I have an error where the *Total Actual Costs* for a Process order is not pulling through.
    When I go into *Costs* -> *Analysis* I see that the *Total Target Costs* are coming through correctly, but the
    *Total Actual Costs* are not coming through, there are no values.
    The material has all the relevant pricing correctly in place.
    These orders all have the correct *goods issues/receipts* done, as well as all the confirmations on the
    *PI Sheets* are done correctly, but still no *Total Actual Costs* are coming through.

    It could be that your recording is in MPEG-2 format, which seems to be common among hard drive camcorders, and you require the MPEG-2 codec (available from the Apple Store).

  • "Clip Time" not coming through properly from P2 Cards

    Hi,
    I'm using Log and Transfer to bring across video shot yesterday. I setup a custom Name Preset to include the time the clip was shot at. The clips aren't coming across with the actual time they were shot though. The first few clips were shot around 7:30AM and are coming across as "01-30-09", which I'm assuming means 1:30 and 9 seconds. I checked the time on the camera (HPX-170) and it is set properly, but the timezone wasn't... it was set at 00:00, but should have been -06 :00.
    The workflow so far:
    1. Shot on HPX-170 to two 64GB A series P2 cards
    2. Used Pansonic's P2CMS to transfer clips from camera to external hard drive (does anyone else use this software? It seems to do a good job, but is the ugliest thing ever. Any other options?)
    3. Using Log and Transfer to bring clips from external drive to internal RAID.
    Here's the Clip metadata:

    It seems like maybe the problem is that the time zone isn't set properly on the camera, but is set properly on my computer (-06:00) so the clips were automatically adjusted to local time. Is there any way to adjust this on the clips so they come in with the proper times? Without going through and editing the metadata on all 50 clips preferably.

    I use ShotPut Pro. It not only will automatically create the folders, with names, and backup the cards when you insert them, but it will also do a data verification. All automated.
    After you make the disk image, do you use Find & Transfer to transfer the clips directly from the P2 cards in the camera? (I'm assuming you can't transfer from the .dmg.)
    NO NO NO! From the backup. Because you have those Unique file names, those names are your REEL numbers. So you can track the footage.

  • Email not coming through!

    So I just got a new Pearl 8130 from VZW last Saturday and for the majority of the time I've had the phone... my emails aren't coming through! I've got three accounts set up on it: 1 - a work account which I need to make sure I have my Outlook at work set to leave a copy of the message on the server after it downloads it locally to my computer. 2 - Gmail account #1 which I have going to my outlook on my personal computer at home. And 3 - Gmail account #2 which I only check through the internet.
    I should be getting an email on my third account everytime someone posts to a thread I've subscribed to on HoFo... which is often enough for me to know that it's not being sent through to my BB.
    Any advice? Interestingly enough, I'm able to send emails from my BB and they are recieved just fine, however I cannot seem to retrieve them.

    I hadn't done your #1 option until now. Technically, what does that do for me? Shouldn't it have been registered already?!
    I had removed all my email accounts and re-added them. That seemed to work for about 12 hours yesterday morning. Since around noon or so yesterday I haven't been able to receive any emails.
    What are service books? I noticed that in the "advanced options" too. They remove themselves when I delete one of my email addresses. And then re-add themselves when I register that email address again.

  • Comments not coming through

    The comments on our blog stopped publishing. What can we do to fix this?

    and it runs on Business Catalyst. The main component of the site is a blog
    for readers to add comments at the end of each post. We have the comments
    module set so we have to approve comments before they are published on the
    site (to avoid spam comments getting through). For some unknown reason,
    comments are no longer showing up in the comment module in Business Catalyst
    for us to approve. Several times today I tested the system by leaving a
    comment (and I received our standard message saying "thank you for your
    comment") but when I go to publish the comment in Business Catalyst, it is
    not showing up.
    We tried to change the comment module to allow comments to automatically
    publish, but that is not working either.
    We cannot figure out why the comments are no longer coming through to
    Business Catalyst for us to publish - or even automatically. We are no
    longer getting spam comments either - and we usually get an average of 100 a
    day.
    Any advice?
