Cluster creation - powershell - automatic username/password
Hi,
I am trying to automate the creation of an HDInsight cluster using a powershell script. I haven't been able to find a way to automatically indicate the username and password of the cluster. I know it is possible with the .NET SDK and the Azure cross-platform
command-line, but I haven't found anything for powershell, which surprises me.
Am I missing something here?
Hi,
Yes, you can customize your cluster credentials too using PowerShell. Below is a sample snippet to include the credentials:
New-AzureHDInsightCluster -Subscription $subid -Credential $creds -Name $clusterName -Location $location
You can construct the $creds variable like this:
$secpasswd = ConvertTo-SecureString "password" -AsPlainText -Force
$creds = New-Object System.Management.Automation.PSCredential ("username", $secpasswd)
Alternatively you can follow this tutorial:
http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/hdinsight-provision-clusters/#powershell
The script in the link does not specify a user name/password but it will prompt for it when you execute. You can supply your custom credentials at that point.
Regards.

ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied on Weblogic 9.0 cluster
I am experiencing the following exception in Weblogic 9.0 server cluster environment. The same code works fine in non-cluster environment. The problem happens every now and then and would go away temporarily after recycling the domains. The Oracle database that the backend system connects to is 9.0.2.6. I am using the ocjdbc14.jar jdbc driver that comes with the Weblogic 9.0 on the client side to connect. I really appreciate any help or clue.

at weblogic.work.ExecuteThread.run(ExecuteThread.java:179)Hi, I can tell you that you're not using any WebLogic
JDBC code. You're getting a connection directly from
the Oracle drive, and you can change the vesion of the
drive if you want by changing the ojdbc14.jar in the
weblogic server\lib directory.
However, I believe the problem is an inherent weakness
at the DBMS. The DBMS listener process can sometimes
be temporarily swamped if it gets too many connection
requests at one time, and will fail some of them even if
they are all identical and correct.
This is one of the major reasons you should use WebLogic
connection pools so you always get already-made and
tested connections.
Another huge danger is that you are using DriverManager
calls. These are very bad in multithreaded applications
like WebLogic, because all DriverManager calls (including
some internal ones that all JDBC drivers call all the time,
are class-synchronized! This means that one call to
getConnection() will probably bolock all other running
JDBC in the whole JVM. If you can change the springframework
code to use WebLogic DataSources to pools, you'll be much
better off.

I am very new to powershell (just a couple days). I'm sure its very simple, but cannot find any articles with a clear description.I am working on a script to push one file to multiple PC's listed in a text file. All the machines have the same admin account and password. How can I incorporate the login into the script so it doesn't prompt each time? Here is what I have so far.Thanks in advance for any help!Powershell$computers = Read-Host "Enter Location of .txt File"$source = Read-Host "Enter File Source"$dest = Read-Host "Enter File Destination"Get-Content $Computers | foreach {Copy-Item $Source -Destination \\$_\c$\$Destination}

I cannot email a photo using iPhoto "share. I keep getting "username/password not recognized". I used to use this function all the time but all of a sudden, I keep getting this message.
In iPhoto, open Preferences (under iPhoto in the menu bar) and click the "Accounts" tab on top. Make sure your email account(s) is/are set up there correctly, just as they are in Apple's Mail. Make sure the password in included.

How will i disable the auto sign in of my username & password for facebook?
If you saved the password in Firefox, you can clear that here:
orange Firefox button > Options > Security > "Saved Passwords"
''or''
Tools menu > Options > Security > "Saved Passwords"
It's also possible that you have a cookie that keeps you logged in, but in that case, signing off from Facebook should end your session. -

I think you should give a username and password. How can it look up a password without a username? Better GRANT the right permissions, too.
Read the MySQL docs a bit more closely. Your path isn't the way to go.

How do I use my WET54g with a wireless system that asks for username & password
Hotels and other systems let you use theiur wireless for a fee. You go onto your wireless laptop, and it automatically goes to a page where you pay and sign up (or it asks for a username and password), once that is done, you can use the network.
How do I allow my WET54g to know this password information, and work on the network?
thanks
MichaelThe WET54g allows you to accept a wireless signal and connect it to a wired hub. I want to intercept the wireless signal and use it on my hub.
I know I can use one computer if I connect to the signal using my laptop's wireless card, but I want the WET54g to accept the signal.
For example, currently at my office, I use the WET54g to intercept a wireless signal from the front of my building, to the back of my building about 300ft away (this way I didnt have to run wires). The WET54g then is hooked up to a hub/switch where I have a bunch of other computers/servers. Everything from the front of my building and back of the building are joined using this WET54g. The WET54g is set up to find the signal from the front of my building, and therefore it works fine.
I want to use the hotel signal, the same way, except there is no way to enter in the username/password into the WET54g, or maybe there is.. Does this make sense to you? -

In node 2 of a Cluster System I have the Test instance. The solution that we proposed is with two instances of RDBMS Oracle (one in Node 1, and other in Node 2) for productive system. In Node 2, we have 2 instances of Oracle in Node 2.

How I can see with what user and password the R3trans try to connect to database??
I have read the following notes:
Note 400241
Note 50088
Note 361641
I am trying with this script that I have readed in NOTE 361641 :
sqlplus /NOLOG @?/rdbms/admin/oradbusr.sql SAPPRD UNIX PRD X;
But these throw No Match. I think the problem is that I have not filled the fields with correct values.
If I executed this script:
SELECT OWNER FROM DBA_TABLES WHERE TABLE_NAME = 'T000';
The result is:
SAPSR3
The SAP System ID (SAPSID) = PRD
Database ID (DBSID) = PRD
Thanks you very much in advance!!!I have executed the R3trans -x with oraprd user.
The answer to your query is:
SQL> select owner from dba_tables where table_name='SAPUSER';
OWNER
OPS$PRDADM
I have executed the R3trans also with prdadm, this is the result:

Configuring usernames/passwords in Oracle DB
Hi,
I have the latest Weblogic 8.1. The usernames/passwords are stored in a table
in Oracle database.
Can someone explain to me (point me in the right direction in documentation) how
to configure Weblogic to look up those usernames/passwords/roles in the Oracle
DB?
Currently, we have a web application that uses declarative security and I want
Weblogic to look up the usernames/passwords/roles automatically.
I know in Tomcat you can specify the datasource JNDI and tell it (in the xml DD)
which table/column to user for usernames/passwords and which table/column to use
to look up roles of those users. There has got to be something like this in Weblogic.
I was a bit scared when I read in one of the documents that RDBMS is being deprecated.
I must not be understanding the context of this properly.
Could someone help?
Thanks,
Yaakov. So that we may better diagnose DOWNLOAD problems, please provide the following information.
- Browser + Version: internet explorer
- O/S + Version: windows 98
- Error Msg: shared memory does not exist/cannot connect to oracle server
Compared to all of you, I'm a very naive computer user. I've successfully downloaded the oracle 8i personal version. When I try to get into sql+, I can't seem to figure out a username and password. I loooked up some sort of usernames/passwords in a document about this thing and have tried all of the following many different times, in many different ways, for several hours now: scott/tiger, system/manager, sys/change_on_install. The scott/tiger works just fine at the university I attend, of course. If anybody has any suggestions, ideas for a dummy, thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much! Hi,
I suspect, there is no database that is running for you to get connected to. You can try this.
From dos prompt
c:\> set oracle_sid = your_db_name
c:\> sqlplus scott/tiger

Cisco Jabber Invalid Username/Password
Hello All,
I am currently deploying CUCM 8.6 with CUP 8.6. The end users of CUP are synced to CUCM, which in turn synced to an OpenLDAP server. The synchronization is working properly i.e. users in CUCM also exist in CUP. However, when I tried to login into Jabber, it keeps giving me "Invalid Username/Password" error. I tried logging into Cisco Unified CM User Options (<ip address>/ccmuser) using the same credentials and succeeded. However, I failed to login to Cisco Unified Presence User Options (<ip address>/cupuser).
Any help?
Thank youI had this exact same issue. Mine was due to a failover. Users were all moved to one server so about half were not working. In CUPS go to System -> Cluster Topology and expand the cluster. Look for Red Xs indicating an issue. Click one where it gives the number of assigned users. Do any say "Failed Over" and have that check box? The ones that do not likely are getting this message of invalid UN/PW. You can test this by pointing the jabber client directly at the working server (the server their name is not under in Cluster Topology). If this is your scenario look for errors and then try clicking the cluster to get "Subcluster Detail" page and click the "Failover" button on the server that has that option. The red X should disappear and the users should be on their subsequent server again and thus should be able to log in.

ORA-01017: invalid username/password;
Hi there,
I have set up an Inbound Data Exchange Session so that my program can send alerts to be displayed on OEM(Oracle Enterprise Manager), as specified in http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B16240_01/doc/em.102/b32521/em_data_ex.htm.
I have succesfully create an Outbound Data Exchange Session where my program receives new alerts from OEM, but im encountering an issue when i send alerts to OEM. I have checked the emoms.trc file and its complaining about an invalid username and password for the database, but when i set up the Outbound Data Exchange Session, there is nowhere i can specify the database credentials!
Is there anyway i could change the database so it can be accessed without password? I have copy pasted the emoms.trc file below.

Many thanks,
Mo.Do you have write the preferred credentials for the target database?
you must select PREFERENCES --> CREDENTIALS and write the credentials for:
agent
host
database
The trc of emoms show that you dont have credentials for the database of repository. Any action of grid control that is executed in automatic mode need that you introduced the credentials for the targets
My suggestion is that write and test the credentials for all the targets

Edited by: SSNair on Jun 17, 2011 5:43 AMHere's your problem:
-bash-3.00$ sqlplus IRES_USER/U9$bvs#ir@DBBecaue of the dollar-sign, The shell is trying to expand the environment variable $bvs#ir@DB
Of course you have no environment variable by that name so what gets passed to sqlplus is not "IRES_USER/U9$bvs#ir@DB", but rather "IRES_USER/U9"
In your first test, you didn't pass the password on the command line, so the shell didn't get a chance to intercept it.
You can have a similar issue if you have a '@' in your password
oracle> sqlplus scott/P@ssword@orclTns will catch that first "@" as the delimiter to the tns string, and come up with something that cant' be resolved.
