CMSS-3D not working at a

Hi, i'm really confused. I've been searching for a solution for days now.
If you don't want to read the details, jump to SUMMING UP.
I've seen posts from late 2006 saying there is no support for 2.0 > 5. upmixing yet.
But then there seems to be people in vista with no problem at all and cmss-3d working.
My problem is that i'm on a 5. speaker configuration, and only get sound from the two front speakers whenever listening to 2.0 music. The sound-test works allright and i hear sound from every speaker. I also get sound from every speaker when watching movies with ac3filter, either upmixed or actual 5. tracks.
The quality of the sound is excellent, no hickups or popping, as i've read about. In fact i have never had problems with crackling or popping.
Anyway, i have tried everything i can think of. I have tried all three modes in the audio console, as well as the different speaker setup-settigs (2.,4.,5.,7.), in every combination. I've tested the beta driver, the "final" driver and now recently the youppax pack. I have played around with the THX-console and tried disabling/enabling audio enhancments in the built in windows sound-setup.
Nothing i do inside the CMSS-3D panel in the audio console makes any difference. Not the slider, not the Surround/Xpand setting. Not even enabling or disabling CMSS-3D. The CPU usage is the same wether it's enabled or disabled.
Since i cannot get ac3filter to upmix the iTunes sound stream, i still only get 2.0 sound from it
Also, I recently thought about ac3filter giving me a dolby digital outstream from every imaginable source. So i was thinking, is there any program, or workaround, to put ac3filter as a uni'versal output-mixer for ALL sound reproduced by all programs? That would be very much like the AC3-encoding option i had on my previous built in Soundstorm card, that came with nforce2 motherboards.
SUMMING UP: does CMSS-3D/upmixing work in vista, and how do yo get it to work?
i'm using vista x86, with xtreme music.
The rest is a regular opteron 46 /dfi expert configuration, with 2 gb ram.

Elite Pro, CMSS-3D not working and other issues after driver update

DElite Pro, CMSS-3D not working and other issues after driver update <font face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="4">Elite Pro CMSS-3D control (on I/O console)no longer controls CMSS-3D.
The only time it works is if the original drivers are installed from the installation CD.
ANY other drivers stop the control on the Elite Pro I/O console from having any effect on CMSS-3D.
Also at one time when I cotrolled volume, CMSS-3D(original drivers), EAX and Crystalizer from the Elite Pro I/O controls then I had on screen display of said control that was being moved(on I/O console).
Now regardless of what drivers are installed, there?are no longer any on screen indicators.
The indicators looked like the ones that show when using the remote controller.
Anyone have any ideas?

Elite Pro, CMSS-3D not working after driver update

Have changed from an X-Fi Platinum to the Elite Pro and updated to latest drivers and now the CMSS-3D cannot be controlled from the I/O console.
It worked before installing the new drivers.
No other issues other than that.
Anyone else have the problem?

HELP!!!! CMSS not working

When turn on stereo expand ,it doesn't upmix!!i get the normal sound with less dialouge.Please helpppp!!!!

The CMSS-3D Stereo Expand mode is rather subtle. It should be used when you have 2.0 source, but surround speaker system, like 5..
Most of the time it does not do much: on regular music it just gives slightly wider stereo picture, with very slight backstage sounds, but hardly any.
Sometimes the Stereo Expand then kicks in, and can create wonderful 3D sound from 2.0 source. Lately I have been noticing excellent surround sound from regular television 2.0 stereo sound! For some reason CMSS-3D Stereo Expand can really separate "background" sounds and move them to the surround speakers. And it does indeed create the center speaker effect from (tight middle) stereo effects.
But you need to listen to hear this.
Of course you need to have the settings proper: have the actual speaker system matching your output devices, and then have CMSS on and the source needs to be 2.0.
CMSS-3D Headphones is quite another mode, and I will not go into it here. I do not have good enough information about it when listening to 2.0 source.
For 5. source the CMSS-3D Headphones works admirably. However the Bass Redirect or possible bass boost is extracted from all the (virtual) spekares, which have just received the new signal from the "upmix algorithm": if you have any bass enhancements, you may need to drop them for CMSS-3D Headphones.
Notice: having "synchronize with windows spekers" is best to be on, so you don't have 2.0->5.(Windows)->5.(virtual)->Headphones transition, this may muffle the sound a lot, and add too much bass boost. It's best to have 2.0 Headphones mode direct on the sound device, and let it extract the 5. signal from the surround sources and do it's magic for 2.0 mapping. This way you avoid extra Bass Redirect as well.

CMSS no longer working in vista for my SB Live 24 Bit ca

With the latest drivers from creative cmss was working fine. Just today when i restarted cmss stopped working. I went into the audio console and tried turning it off and on again to see if it would work but it didnt. I then procedded to reinstall the drivers and that didnt work either. Can anyone explain how my cmss suddenly stopped working?
Also note when doing a speaker test all 5 speakers and subwoofer respond with no issues, so its not a souncard or speaker problem. its a driver/vista problem.

Not working applets in win7 x64

Maybe my problems comes from another programs in my computer, but most errors came/come from java (JRE), so I try to write a message here.... and hope to find a solution so that my applets will work. In the past periods I got a lot of script errors and watch at home only to a screen (white background with some text interchangeably) online it's really terrible for my eyes (as watching in the sun). And most program, flash-players not working online....pfff.
I installed "jre-6u21-windows-i586-iftw-rv.exe" and restarted my PC, but again my computer did't show any applet, it makes me crazy. Again I got a 32-bit version on a 64-bits motherboard.....

During the opening of several sub-directories in the directorymap Java (1.6.0_20 + 21), I found it strange that some sub-maps were empty. In the sub-folders Java/jr6/lib/applet were no files and also not in the 'lib' subdirectory ../audio.
I have search several times and downloaded several versions of Java and reinstalled them (because not working of it). I have read almost 100 pages for the correct solution, but without any result. I was searching in the folder to find information of the Java-applet or why their gone because. The Java controle on the website shows everytime "You have the last and right Java-version", but without working applets I cannot work well at my computer (offline and online).... it's a crime....pfff
So please Help me!

.Re: Rear channels not working properly in Win7\ First go to control panel, and sound, and then speakers and then to configure, and then choose 5. for your speaker setup and be sure to not choose full range speakers. Then go back to speakers and choose properties, and then Levels, and try raising your rear speakers a bit louder than your front and center speakers. For me, this works best as rear speakers do not receive as much as front and center anyway. I have my front and center set at 55 so I set the rear to 65 or 70. Then they sound equal. I turn on CMSS-3d in console Launcher and I choose surround, and then stereo surround. I do not like stereo expand.
If you have a sound source that is already 5., such as playing a 5. movie in VLC media player, the sound is already 5. so it is not "double-upmixed" per se.

Side, back and middle speaker on t7700 not working, please help

I have had this speaker system for a little while, and it has worked great. Recently the side speakers stopped working, so i unplugged everything, and messed around with some settings. When i plugged it back in it worked fine for about a week or two. Now none of the speakers work, except for the font right and front left. Please help. I tried going to the creative mediasource, and turning on cmss or something, and i couldn't find where to do it. i also tried accessing the eax control panel, but i can't find it under my programs. Please tell me how to make the speakers work. I have a Audigy 2 zs sound card.

I suspect it's due to the CMSS and not the speaker. The EAX console are located in Start -> Program -> Creative -> Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS -> Creative EAX Console.
If you still can't find it, I would suggest reinstalling from the CD.

1 channel not working

Hi,
I have an X-Fi xtreme gamer fatalty which is great but for one problem;? The rear right channel on my Logitech Z5500's will not work in games, it's definitely not the speakers because running a pink noise test through all the speakers works fine, as does playing music?through them through stereo x2 or CMSS stereo xpand/surround,?5. surround is selected for the speaker setup in windows and in the creative audio conole for ther speaker setup. ?I have searched these forums and cannot find anything that would rectify the problem so I thought I would post this and see if any of you helpful people could sort me out ?Thanks in advance.

Hi. I have a similar problem. I don't hear any bass from my sub speaker in games or stereo tracks with CMSS. I am also sure that it's not due the speakers cuz I tired some 6 channel tracks and it works fine.
Does anybody have any idea why is this happening?

As in topic: My Rear speakers in digital mode over MiniDin are not working. Why?
They are working with optical/coax on DVD Player / 5.1 source and in CMSS/DolbyPrologic mode. Only Fourpoint 5.1 DIN is not working on rear speakers..

SB Audigy 2 (not ZS) + Inspire T7700 (1 Speaker not working)

I have just bought a the Inspire T7700 for my my normal SB Audigy 2.
I know that the normal SB Audigy 2 just supports 6.1, right?I have plugged in the subwoofer and the speakers as shown in the quick manual. Then i have connected the 3 cables in the first three holes of my SB Audigy 2. The jumper on the subwoofer is set to 6.1->7.1 I'm using Win XP Home (SP2) and already have installed the newest Audigy 2 Driver. In the the Creative Driver i have chosen 6.1 Profile and Windows has automatically choosen a 7.1 Profile in it'ss own "Sound Settings".(I have already checked, but WIndows has no own 6.1 Profile, only 7.1!)If i now start playing sound the rear left + rear right + side right speaker doesn?t work!If i change change the jumper on the subwoofer (uppest position, think that was 5.1-7.1) and now all speakers work, except one, the front right one!But if i make a "channel test" with the Creative Driver software the channels are completely mixed up.All speakers seems to be positioned wrong!So what did i do wrong?Can't i use all speakers with my normal SB Audigy 2?Is 6.1->7.1 the wrong jumper setting on the subwoofer although it should be the right one (-> manual) for my soundcard?But why do 3 speakers not work then?Hope somebody can help me.

Since all speakers seem to work, except one if i choose the uppest switch on the subwoofer (think that is "direct", right?)i decided to change the position of the three cables that connect to my SB Audigy 2, because another problem of this situation is, (as i already mentioned above) that all speakers seem to be placed wrong when doing the "Channel test"!After changing the cable?s position in the Audigy 2 quite often i suddenly found a position, where all speakers work (CMSS "on") AND at least the speakers (front right, center, front left, side left, side right)are placed correctly when doing the "Channel-test". I don't know why but if i try to calibrate the speakers in the Creative-Software and click on the speaker that i hear the sound coming from there are some speakers, that always make a noise together with another speaker. In summary, i can't calibrate all the boxes, because some always ound together with another one and some other speakers didn't even makes any noise!Doesn anyone know this problem?

Audigy 2 Value center speaker not working?

So I have vista ultimate x64 and logitech g51 5.1 speakers. The center channel does not work at all. It's pretty much a brand new set and swapping out the speaker does not help, so I think it is a sound card/ driver problem. The problem is in the sound test area, and is not just because I am playing 2.1 sound without CMSS. Does anyone know what is up?

it sounds to me like you have your matrix button pushed in. This button will try to make sound come out of all speakers. If it is depressed and you are testing a five to 1 sound, it will not play through the center channel. I have an old set of logitech speakers and with the matrix button pressed in, I get no center channel because it is trying to upsample stereo to all five speakers. Try that please.

i use the fatalty with the - champ - frontpanel. Unfortunately this panel does not work correctly. that means is have sound at the headphones and can use the mic but i cannot change the volume (HP and Mic)and cannot change?game mode, cmss-3d and crystalizer.
i?tested this card on two operating systems (one of the totally new) but the frontpanel does not work.
I try the driver from CD, the newest which will be found by creatives autoupdate driver search and i check youp pak but none of them will help.
Internal Soundcard of my mainboard is deactivated.
The hardware is not damaged - i try two different titanium cards with two frontpanels...

So nobody actually has any idea what the problem is? I'm not the thread-bumping type, but this is a very annoying issue and if anyone has any useful information I would greatly apprecaite it.

I read that browser.ui.layout.tablet = "1" can fix this problem. But it not works. I can work only in pnone interface that is not good for my 8'' tablet.

when i used the standard access sequences ,it is OK .

Go to V/N1 transaction select your self defined access sequence then go in to the accesses and fields and check all fields are activated.
Make sure that these fields are flowing in your sales order.

I was under the impression that photoshop cc would not even install on windows vista.
What version of camera raw do you have?
In photoshop under Help>About Plugin does it list Camera Raw and if so which version is it?
(click on the words Camera Raw to see the version)
Camera raw doesn't work if it's a camera raw file or some other file type such as jpeg or tif?
What camera are the camera raw files from?
Officially camera raw 8.3 is the latest version of camera raw that will work on windows vista.
