Co product Clarification

Dear all,
I have a material xxxx as a co product... In CS03,THis material is having 3 comonents .THe line item numbers are 0010,0020,0030.
But when i create prod order for this material xxxx, in the production order BOM another line item 0000 is appearing automatically.
and that line item 0000 is the header material xxxx itself.PLease tell me how come this happen.
Please reply..
points for sure

HI
When you create this material XXXX as Co product then you cant make production order for it you have to make it with the header material during the production of which this material XXXX is produced.for this you have to maintain this material XXXX in the BOM of header material with co product indicator on and also in MM of this material XXXX.
while confirmation of header material when you confirm the operation to which this XXXX is assigned GR will be done
correct me if i am wrong

  • In-House Product Clarification Request

I came across this term "In-House Product Clarification Request" recently. However, I am not sure what this is. Can anybody clarify or provide some useful information? All I know now about this is that this is a type of General Notification.
    Thanks in advance,
    APS

InHouse Product Clarification is a request sent from the Shop Floor to the Engineering and Design to report a problem pertaining to a product. The said product is usually an intermediate product used ina a stage of production and this product is responsible for some problems ocuuring at the shop floor.
The IHPCR is sent to the Engineering and Design division reporting the issue and seeking a clarification on the desing or behaviour of the said product.
If there is a fault with the engineering of the product, IHPCR is typically followed by an Engineering Change Request (ECR).

  • Lack of performance in SELECT-ing XML records

Hello Champs, I am new to XML world. But as a DBA now I'm into the situation to suggest better performance improvement in accessing XML records.
    Problem:
There is a batch job from informatica, fetching records from XML tables(close to 400, one by one) stored in oracle database. All 400 tables just have two columns as described below:
    Name                                         Null?          Type
    RECID                                     NOT NULL VARCHAR2(255)
    XMLRECORD                                            XMLTYPE
Each table has NORMAL index created for it only for VARCHAR2 column:
    CREATE UNIQUE INDEX "username"."Indexname_PK" ON "username"."table_name" ("RECID") PCTFREE 10 INITRANS 2 MAXTRANS 255 NOLOGGING COMPUTE STATISTICS STORAGE(INITIAL 65536 NEXT 1048576 MINEXTENTS 1 MAXEXTENTS 2147483645 PCTINCREASE 0 FREELISTS 1 FREELIST GROUPS 1 BUFFER_POOL DEFAULT) TABLESPACE "tbs_idx" ;
All the table has the CLOB index created for it with below description.
CHUNK PCTVERSION  RETENTION  FREEPOOLS CACHE      IN_ROW    FORMAT          PAR
8192                 14400            YES                           YES         ENDIAN     NEUTRAL          NO
Informatica issues below query on all the table, where it could just fetch only 400rows/sec in average. This takes entire buisness day to complete the batch job for all 400 tables, which gives big problem in production environment.
    SELECT <table_name>.<column_name>.getclobval() FROM  <table_name>;

    1. Where do you see in this scenario, there is a problem which blocks the performance?
    2. What type of index on this setup is normally advisable?
    Many Thanks for your assistance,

Not sure if you will like it, although it will improve your performance issues considerably, upgrade to Oracle 11.2.0.3 or 11.2.0.4 and be sure that all those XMLTYPE (CLOB) stored columns will be created/recreated with XMLTYPE (SECUREFILE BINARY XML).
One way of making sure that XMLTYPE will be stored via Binary XML Securefile LOB storage is by setting "db_securefile" on database level ( Using Oracle SecureFiles ) to value ALWAYS or FORCE. Binary XML Securefile XMLType content may only be created on ASSM enabled tablespaces...

  • Production Order : COGI Clarifications

    Hi Team,
I am having some clarifications on COGI transaction processing.
    1. Is the production order can be settled (production order settlement) if the error exists in COGI against the production order?
    2. Sometimes, user deletes the entry in the COGI instead of re-processing. I think the entry in the COGI should not be deleted for any reason. Am i right?
    3. How to restrict the user to NOT to delete the entry in the COGI? Is it through authorization?
    4. I am understanding that due to the below reasons, the entry will be in COGI against the production order. Apart from these reasons, do we have any other reason?
    A. During order confirmation (CO15), if the storage location is not available for the backflush items, it will be posted to COGI
    B. During order confirmation (CO15), if the stock is not available for the backflush items, it will be posted to COGI
    5. Assume that, i have restricted the "Over Delivery" for my production order type. And my production order quantity is 5. I am trying the confirm 6 quantity. I am getting the error that "Over Delivery not permitted". Will this case also be posted to COGI?
    6. During order confirmation (CO15), if the storage location is not available for the good receipt item (ie, 101 movement type item), will this case be posted to COGI?
    Thanks

    Hi Selva,
    1. Is the production order can be settled (production order settlement) if the error exists in COGI against the production order?
Yes you can settle the order if order status is CNF or DLV or TECO even with error's in COGI, but  the accounting will not be correct if you have COGI errors.
    2. Sometimes, user deletes the entry in the COGI instead of re-processing. I think the entry in the COGI should not be deleted for any reason. Am i right?
Yes you are right. COGI error should not be deleted.
    3. How to restrict the user to NOT to delete the entry in the COGI? Is it through authorization?
Check the authorization object C_AFFW_TWK CIM and C_AFKO_ATY CIM
    4. I am understanding that due to the below reasons, the entry will be in COGI against the production order. Apart from these reasons, do we have any other reason?
    A. During order confirmation (CO15), if the storage location is not available for the backflush items, it will be posted to COGI
    Yes
    B. During order confirmation (CO15), if the stock is not available for the backflush items, it will be posted to COGI
    Yes
    5. Assume that, i have restricted the "Over Delivery" for my production order type. And my production order quantity is 5. I am trying the confirm 6 quantity. I am getting the error that "Over Delivery not permitted". Will this case also be posted to COGI?
No. System will restrict to post the entry
    6. During order confirmation (CO15), if the storage location is not available for the good receipt item (ie, 101 movement type item), will this case be posted to COGI?
Yes it will post to COGI.
Good practise is before doing settlement - month-end first activity is to clear all the COGI errors and do settlement. Posting dates also is another reason for COGI errors.
Best way is to fail the trasaction in confirmation for any error records through OPK4 config. Under Individual entry screen - Error Handling - Select Goods movement and Terminate for incorrect goods movements.
    Read COGI-Error and Impact
Many threads from your end are still open. Try to close if you got anwers.

  • Clarification on 025.007 for Symbian Anna products

    Hi all,
as you might have noticed we started rolling out a new update version for the Symbian Anna products.
025.007 only contains some error fixes and is therefore not a mandatory update for N8/C7/C6-01/E7/E6/X7. This means, that not all countries/operators will test and approve this version. The rollout is happening in waves, depending on lcoal testing and approval. If you want to get a notification when the update is available for your phone, please switch on the software update auto check. (You can find it under Options in your phone’s Software Update App.)
    BR,
    yvonne

I received a symbian Anna service pack of size 1040KB which when installed did not change the version to 025,but said it was meant for usability improvements. It will give me better scrolling in messages and help me get quick location info on photos plus more(it was not mentioned what exactly is this "plus").However it added conversation appl, java run time and conversation server to my installed files list.

  • Advice and or Clarification of Product

    Good Afternoon
Firstly i am new here , so hello to all :-)
I am based in a small town in the north of Scotland called Dingwall
I am a current BT Broadband customer and i have the Option 3 package ( unlimited broadband use / free evening weekend calls etc ) and my line speed will only be maximum of 8MB this was what i was advised when i asked BB customer support.
I have been using the service for around 1 year now and although i have never questioned it i am seeing some very slow speeds duriing peak times , i use the internet for various things ( gaming / downloading / streaming / browsing etc ).
When i say very slow i am talking about 1MB or less during peak times, i am currently at work and have only just found this forum so dont have screen shots etc to hand but would still like some confirmation as to what i could expect from my package.
Also just to clarify out with peak times , i get upto 800Kbs download which seems a little more like BBand as opposed to what i get the rest of the time , i am classing peak times from 16.00 - 00.00 and out with 00.00 till around 10.00.
My thoughts on this are (i used to work for BTOpenworld when it first launched on the helpdesk based in Alness ) it could be contention ratio it was some time ago since i worked there around 8 - 9 years but i recall home lines being 50 - 1 and business 20 - 1 , thats my conclusion but i would very much like someone on here to jump in and put me right in terms of my assumptions. ( i am very aware there are many factors that could influence my connection speed )
I dont think 1MB is acceptable even during peak times , esp when my firend also based in Dingwall has recently moved from BT to TalkTalk and is getting 16MB during peak times.
I would say i am around 1 / 1.5 miles from major exhange in Dingwall but i have been told there are many sub-exchanges so perhaps i am being routed through them hence my problem.
anyways i'll stop going on now and wait for someone to repsond.
    Kind Regards
    Peter

    2) What is the importance of Recalculate value button in Asset Accounting?
    3) Suppose I have 1000 assets, if I want to run depreciation only for 200 assets how can I do that?
    4) If suppose I have 5 Depreciation areas, I am able to see the book depreciation values only, where I
can see the other depreciation values? If we can’t see for which purpose we are using other
        depreciation areas?
    5) Vendor and Customer balances get update regularly or once in a month or year?
    6) Where we have to create number ranges either in Production or Development Environment?
    7) How can we transfer GLs from one environment to another?

  • How to create z-report ( actual , planned , variance -production qty)

    Hi dear experts,
My client need a report where we can see production order qty, actual production qty, dependent matl planned qty and dependent matl actual consummed qty, and difference between actual and planned quantities in one single screen?
For this , sap have any std reports or else we have to create any z-report?
In case of z-report plz explain me how to create it.
    please guide us.
    Regards,
    Imran

    Hi,
you can check below standard PP reports transaction code:
COOIS - Production Order Info system
    MCPM Production order anal.: Quantities
    MCPD Production order analysis: Dates
MCPU Production Order Analysis: Lead Time
    MCP0 Shop Floor Information System
    MCP1 SFIS: Operation Analysis Selection
    MCP3 SFIS: Material Analysis Selection
If you want to get Z development report, first you can go throgh your business requirement and what will client expect in your Z report, then you can check the production order header & component tables & its relevant fields.
You can prepare for functional specification for Z report development and will send it to ABAPer's.
Let me know any further clarifications.

2.Resolving Data load error such as Invalid characters, Time period conversion, Currency conversion, Duplicate records, etc
3.Ensuring the availability of the updated data in the datatarget on time.
4.Spooling out data through Infospoke from SAP BW to systems like Trillium, Ariba (Reporting Tool)
    Ticket Resolution:
1.Process chain modification: Working on “Optimizing Process chain” by creating new process chain considering the load dependencies.
2.Reloading of R/3 data from different clusters – Reconciliation issues
    3.Enhancements as per Business requirement.
    Additional responsibilities:
•Preparing design documents from the Business Requirement docs and identified the relevant data targets for satisfying the customer requirements.

  • Sales orders asignment to Production order

    Hi,
        I need the following requirement,
I have 4 sales orders which has different delivery date. I want to have a single production order for these 4 sales orders (I am using strategy 40 and collective requirement option in MRP 4 view), My requirement In production order assignment Tab which sales order will be assignment, If not how can I arrive it, Is there any User exit for this?
    Br,
    Muthamil Murugan.G

    Dear Murugan,
Your strategy 40 will not have sales order reference. But sales order quantity will be considered by strategy 40 and your PIR'S will be reduced. but you cannot have any sales order reference in the production order. If you want sales order reference in production use strategy 20, 50, or other MTO strategy and use t-code CO08 to create production order giving sales order number. And combining of many sales order into one, as per my knowledge it is not possible in standard SAP but you can have a single delivery of many sales order.
    check the below link:

Hope it will help. Revert back for more clarification.

  • APO Constrained and unconstrained Forecast for a Product, Location

    Hi Gurus,
Please let me know the simple ways to get the constrained and unconstrained forecast for a product / location. I am new to APO, so please help me to send the detailed information. I would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance for your wonderful help.
    Best regards
    Nagarajan

    Nagarjan,
When you run the fortecast in DP you consider the sales history. Now, this sales history is actual sales. While forecasting all that is considered are these values of the past and not the present and future capability to actually meet this forecast. Its just plain statistically generated numbers. Now suppose based on your sales you generate the following forecastL
    Jan 1000
    Feb 1000
    Mar 1500
This is then released to SNP. Use the TX /sapapo/mc90. The idea is now to EVALUATE THIS FORECAST AGAINST OUR CAPABILITY TO SUPPLY, IN OTEHR WORDS CONTRAINTS!
After releasing to SNP you can do a finite planning taking into consideration constraints such as Capacity, vendor capabilities, procurement constraints etc... Its almost always the case that the exact numbers cannot be met and thats whgy we do all the replanninga and levelling and rescheduling etc etc...
In SNP you can run an unconstrained pla., You can then level this using SNP capacity levelling. Remmeber this process may span certain levels like DC- > FG Plant -> SFG Plant etc...
After considering supply capcbilities you can come up with a REVISED forecast:
    Jan: 800
    Feb: 1000
    Mar: 1600
Note that for March you are able to take an increased volume. You can now release this plan to DP back again to tell it that this is the demand I can meet and this is what should be planned. This can be done using Tx /SAPAPO/SNPFCST or /SAPAPO/LCOUT
    Hope this clarifies.

  • Production and Other Overheads posting to Production Orders

    Hi All,
I need a clarification regarding Production Orders,
I have created a PP Production for 10 finished qauntity, I have posted material consumtion to the order in MB1A Tcode with 261 movement type.
But how to post actual cost to the order. From HR Module, Salaries GL are getting upldated, Out of that some of the employees related plant.
Saleries cost and other activity cost( Actuals), how can i allocate to Production Orders and on what basis.
Please advice me in this regards, let me know if i am thinking in wrong way.
    Regarsd,
    Ganesh

    Hi,
u can allocate salrary cost ect to production orders.
first of all salary should be a primary cost element.
u can allocate on the basis of hours or any other relevant factor , the factor should be available in ativity type list, other wise u have to create activity.
in the cost center assessment u can use salary cost element and settle on prodcution orders , u can manully enter amount or u can decide to allocate based on activity quantity in order to do so ur settlement profile must allow posting on production orders..
    points if information useful

  • Production order number in a purchase order

    Hi guys,
Is there  anyway I can pull the production order number onto the related purchase order(i.e, if a purchase order has an item which is procured for a production order ). I'd appreciate your ideas and suggestions on this.
    Thanks
    Cheris T

    Hi Cheris,
If the purchase requisition is created as a dependent requirement for an assembly as a result of MRP, then the account assigment is done automatcally by system to the production order of the assembly. You can see it by clicking on the Account assignment tab on the purchase requisition or purchase order.
If you are manually creating the Purchase requisition, then you select the Account Assignment category as "F" order.
Hope this clarifies your query. If you are satisfied reward points.

  • What are options for applying non-inventory costs to production orders?

We have a non-inventory costs that need to be assigned to product produced on production orders.  There are two processes -make-to-order and make-to-stock.
Currently we use activity rates to apply labor and burden costs to our production.  We use separate cost centers where needed to ensure that we have sufficient granularity to our activity rates applied.
We have a few specific issues where we need to understand the options for applying costs -
    1) We have freight and duty costs related to inbound raw material that we want to assign to our final product.  The amount assigned may be either a specific amount (or a specific amount per model), or a % of the total cost on that production order.
    2) We have material on the production order bill of material that is called out by quantity and we are using discrete backflush, however we have found there are issues with the accuracy of the quantities.  We want to have this product ordered using KANBAN (bin ordering) and have the value relieved from inventory when the bin is issued to production.  The cost on the production order is envisioned to be an average amount for the product - or an average amount by model.
    3) We want to have a portion of cost for production scrap included in the cost of each product produced. (similar to freight and duty).
In all cases- the amount can change depending on analysis from accounting regarding freight and duty costs (these fluctuate depending on the cost savings we achieve with combined loads and depending on the amount of out of country sourcing), the scrap amount may change periodically depending on the initiatives to reduce scrap on the production floor, etc.
We currently use three activity types, labor, burden and tooling.  It is my understanding that there is a limitation in SAP that keeps us limited to 6 activity types.
    My questions are:
Are we limited on activity types? these are an option to apply additional costs, but may not be the best option if we want to change the amount applied based on model or apply as a percentage.
Are there other options for applying costs that we can explore? I want to be sure we take into account the various options available before we start down a specific path.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

As clarification- we are using standard costing for our raw material.  We currently accumulate the incoming freight in a balance sheet account.  This is treated as part of our inventory.  We have considered using an activity type with a activity added to the BOM to apply the cost to the production order.  Then we could use the secondarly cost element data to book an entry to relieve the freight account on the balance sheet.
Because we use standard costing- access to see production order variance is critical and must be maintained in any process we select. We also use COPA reporting- so the costing information must be able to flow to COPA for the specific orders/products/serial numbers.
We are doing make to order (production order / sales order specific combination) but also looking at a make to stock process - so the method to apply costs must take both of these configurations into consideration.
Rajneesh - you mentioned that I am limited to 6 activities in a work center- but does that mean I can have more than 6 activity types in SAP but only 6 activities in a work center/cost center combination?
    Thank you.

  • Re:No release of production order without standard cost estimate

    Hello Experts
I do not want to release any production order without standard cost estimate
I have come acroos the same problem raised by some other users and can you please suggest how to achieve this?
Is there any way to achieve this without user exit?
    Thanks and Regards
    Subbu

    Hello Subbu,
In this case, you need to put the status as "B4" Blocked in costing 1 view of material master, when you create the costing view and change it to "03" status when you released the cost estimate.
Please note that this field can be overwritten in MRP view also. Hence please get the good control of material master and good coordination with PP team to achive this.
Please let me know if you require any clarifications.
    Thank you,
