Any tips? This is driving me nuts...

gradgrind wrote:I'm afraid I don't know what your problem might be, but you might be interested to know that the build works here. Have you got an up-to-date system?
Yes. I installed an upgraded this system about 3 days ago, so I know it's 100% up-to-date, and I have retried the makepkg numerous times, even deleting the src dir to no avail.

  • [SOLVED][Code::Blocks]Installed needed library, now what?

    Hi ARCH-ers,
    Today I've got IMO quite easy question but which I cannot overcome by myself - I want to start making some OpenGL stuff using GLFW in Code::Blocks enviroment. I've installed glfw package from official ARCH repositiories. But when I choose GLFW Project in Code::Blocks it asks me to point GLFW location. So now my question is : where it is? Where had this package been installed? Or maybe I'm missing some important puzzle in this whole thing.
    I've also googled out this page http://wiki.codeblocks.org/index.php?ti … lling_GLFW but this zip file seems to lack in Linux make files.

    @Raynman Thanks, 'pacman -Ql <name>' is what I was asking for.
    But unfortunately things have now turned out to be more complex than I thought. The way pacman have installed it seems not to be matching Code::Blocks needs - files are scattered all around dirrefent directiores while it need a proper arrangement.
    Output of 'pacman -Ql glfw':
    glfw /usr/
    glfw /usr/include/
    glfw /usr/include/GLFW/
    glfw /usr/include/GLFW/glfw3.h
    glfw /usr/include/GLFW/glfw3native.h
    glfw /usr/lib/
    glfw /usr/lib/cmake/
    glfw /usr/lib/cmake/glfw/
    glfw /usr/lib/cmake/glfw/glfwConfig.cmake
    glfw /usr/lib/cmake/glfw/glfwConfigVersion.cmake
    glfw /usr/lib/cmake/glfw/glfwTargets-noconfig.cmake
    glfw /usr/lib/cmake/glfw/glfwTargets.cmake
    glfw /usr/lib/libglfw.so
    glfw /usr/lib/libglfw.so.3
    glfw /usr/lib/libglfw.so.3.0
    glfw /usr/lib/pkgconfig/
    glfw /usr/lib/pkgconfig/glfw3.pc
    glfw /usr/share/
    glfw /usr/share/licenses/
    glfw /usr/share/licenses/glfw/
    glfw /usr/share/licenses/glfw/COPYING
    I tried pointing different directions but only /usr/include/GLFW have required glfw3.h file. and nonetheless Code::Blocks shows an error like this:
    The path you entered seems valid, but the wizard can't locate the include directory. The wizard cannot continue.
    Do anyone know Code::Blocks well enough to point me out a solution?
    EDIT:
    @progandy Didn't noticed your post. Anyway I'll try the possible solution as you described.

  • Stop a known compile error (Cannot resolve symbol)

    I get a known compile error is their some way to stop this.
    Basically I call a reader in a method in my main class to be used in a threaded search.
    I only reset the reader when I want to so I can search for further results without starting from the start of the file again.
    I know that there is no way for the program to get to this point without having the filereader class loaded so I want to stop this error.
    Im thinking their is probably a way of putting in an if statement around my call to the search thread to check the object is in memory.
    Thanks for the help in advance.

    I get a known compile error is their some way to stop this. Yes, fix the code so it's syntactically correct. That's the only way to get rid of compiler errors.
    Im thinking their is probably a way of putting in an
    if statement around my call to the search thread to
    check the object is in memory.This isn't C/C++ with #define and #ifdef for preprocessor directives. What are you thinking?
    Fix your code and the compiler errors will go away.

    Hi,
    Can you please make sure you have Flex 3.2 or higher SDK and then target to Flash Player 10. I have this working on my system and yes, i got the same error when my SDK was below 3.2 and not targeted to Flash Player 10.
    Hope this helps.

  • Need to compile FPGA code after SVN checkout , why ?

    Hi,
    Our project uses a FPGA. Lets say, we compile the FPGA code on computer A. The code is working fine, so we upload the code to a SVN server where the whole project folder (including the FPGA Bitfiles folder) is stored in the repository. Now lets say we delete the project folder from computer A. Then, we checkout the project folder from SVN onto computer A. Now if we open the project, VIs that use FPGA code have broken links. The error says that FPGA code is not compiled. I dont seem to understand what is going on and why a perfectly working code stopped working. The same problem also occurs if we checkout the project folder onto say computer B.
    What I have noticed is that after we checkout from SVN, the dates and times on all the files is changed to the current date and time. Is there something that depends on date and time of the files when it comes to FPGA compilations ? It is very frustrating, because the compilation takes more than 4 hours.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Best,
    Saumil

    Hi,
    The compiled code is stored in a seperate file in a FPGA Bitfiles folder. The folder is part of the 'Acquisition' folder and is thus a part of the SVN repository. I think the reference to the compiled code by VIs that use that code must be using an identifying mechanism that is tied to the physical location of this file and not just the name. And I have no idea how to fix this, it just seems wasteful to recompile the FPGA code everytime the project folder is installed on a different computer or even if the folder is reloaded onto the same computer.

  • FPGA code successfully compiled in 2010 is giving compilation error in 2014.

    I have developed RS485 FPGA code and successfully compiled with LabVIEW FPGA 2010.
    Later changed the software to 2014 and installed Xilinx 14.7.
    Now if I compile the same code with LabVIEW 2014 compile worker, i am getting error 'Process "Synthesis" failed'.
    I am using a case structure with Error cluster as selector, So the case structure has 'No error' and 'Error' cases.
    If I change the selector to 'True/False' then the compilation works.
    Below is the error that i am getting when using Case structure with Error cluster as selector
     LabVIEW FPGA: The compilation failed due to a Xilinx error. Details: ERROR:HDLParsers:1401 - "C:/NIFPGA/jobs/JyWfWcc_Gv3a9ah/NiFpgaAG_00000041_CaseStructureFrame_0001.vhd" Line 41. Attached FPGA_error_2014.jpg which depicts the working and 'not working' code in 2014.
    In 'Not working' code,the selector terminal is error cluster.
    I am able to resolve the issue just by changing the selecter terminal to boolean as in 'working code'.
     But both sets of software code works fine in version 2010.

  • AJAX code compilation error in jdk1.4.2_15 in JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0

    I am using AJAX for search functionality in our appication which involves ADF JSF,jspx pages in JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0. When I compile the following code it compiles fine without error in jdk1.5 but gives compilation error in jdk1.4.2_15.
    public List<String> autoCompleteFindUniqueNames(String searchString){
    UniqueEmployeeNamesImpl hits = this.getUniqueEmployeeNames1();
    hits.setNamedWhereClauseParam("searchPrefix",searchString.toUpperCase()+ "%");
    hits.setRangeSize(5);
    hits.executeQuery();
    ArrayList resultset = new ArrayList((int)hits.getEstimatedRowCount());
    for (Row row:hits.getAllRowsInRange()){
    resultset.add((String)row.getAttribute("LastName"));
    return resultset;
    Compilation error giving on the line " for (Row row:hits.getAllRowsInRange()){ "
    and it says " Error ; Expected "
    Can somebody helpme out what should I change on this line in order to compile this ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ram

    Frank,
    Thanks for your response. I removed <String> after LIST and it compiles. But the problem
    is with the following iterator code which is giving error while compiling in jdk1.4.2_15. Trying to find out the equivalent iterator code of the following which is in jdk1.5
    Row row:hits.getAllRowsInRange()
    Thanks,
    Ram

  • Compilation error for code in Solaris 8 which was compiled in SUNOS 4.1.3

    Hi,
    I compiled the C source files in Solaris 8 which was earlier compiled in SUNOS 4.1.3(Solaris 1.1).
    On compiling I get following discrepencies: 1. Executable size are considerably different.
    2. I am using some X windoes system library, it gives compilation error like "prototype mismatch 2 arguments passed when 3 required". "improper member use: fd " fd is the member od display structure.
    3. "identifier redeclared: shmat current : function() returning pointer to char
    previous: function(int, pointer to const void, int) returning pointer to void : "/usr/include/sys/shm.h""
    4. Also I am getting "cg error :..: Disk quota exceeded " while compiling one of the modules.
    Please let me know solution of all/any of these.
    Thanks in advance!!

    Sounds like ancient code that no longer matches current API's.
    Theres not much option except to rewrite those bits.
