Code signing, unknown error

I have a folder full of PS1, PSM1 and VBS files that all sign fine. And I have one PS1 that fails with "UnknownError". I have created a whole new file and copied the code in, so it seems it is perhaps the actual code, not the file? Does that make
any sense?
And, is there any way to get Set-AuthenticodeSignature to report something more meaningful than UnknownError?

a. Open Firefox and browse to https://www.digicert.com/digicert-root-certificates.htm
b. On the middle of the page, download -
DigiCert Assured ID Code Signing CA-1
Valid until: 10/Feb/2026

c. Install the cert in Firefox

e. Done, the newly exported file should now have the valid certificate chain and that should fix the error "Unable to build a valid certificate chain for the signer"
Even though this is from Digicert, this should also work for other Certificate Authority providers assuming you download your provider's root cert for code signing.

When i connect ipod to itunes i get error code oxe8000001 unknown error

When I connect my Ipod touch to Itunes I get error code oxe8000001 ( unable to connect due to unknown error) Computer says it recognizes Ipod and drivers are working properly. Is anyone else having this problem and how did you fix it?

Did you try a different cable as suggested?
Can you try another computer as a test?

HT1766 I was halfway through downloading iOs7 when it froze, so I turned it off and now it is in the recovery mode and says to restore it. I tried to restore it and it comes up with the code "An unknown error occured (3194)" What can I do?

I was halfway updating my phone to iOs7 when it froze halfway through where it shows the apple symbol. So I turned it off and now it says that I have to connect to iTunes. So I did and it said it was in the recovery mode and should be restored. I restored it and then it come up with a message that says "iPhone cannot be restored. An unknown error occured (3194) What can i do to fix it? Please!

Using App Store when downloading app I enter password and get unknown error

What you are telling me is contradictory information. So you will have to start over and give us proper details. One can not download Leopard for example. Or even Snow Leopard.
Can you also give me a screen shot showing me this exact error message on your system?

Getting "an unknown error occurred 3194" error

I am trying to restore my iPhone 3gs with iOS 3.0.1! I want to restore with this version of iOS only. I am also getting the same error code "an unknown error occurred 3194". Tried using tinyumberilla, tried it by doing force shutdown, recoverymode restore and all the ways mentioned in discussions forum. But no luck

iTunes error 3194 can be caused by a variety of issues. The most common solution is updating iTunes. However, if you are currently running the latest version of iTunes, you can try the other solutions posted here. Hope this helps!

Entered username and password okay.
Received the sync key.
While trying to connect I get an "unknown error" displayed in red in the preference dialogue,
or
"Error While Signing In" when I hit the Connect button at lower right corner of Firefox, if I hit that button I get "Sync encountered an error while connecting: Unknown error. Please try again."
This is from a home wireless broadband account, there are not any firewalls in place, and using NAT.

Getting an "unknown error' when trying to sign into iTunes Store

When I try to sign into the iTunes store, it is giving me an "Unknown Error" message, without an error code or anything. I have tried restarting the computer and that didn't help. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

I received this email from Apple and this corrected the problem for me... I only had to reset the iTunes cache
1) Open iTunes
2) At the top menu, click File > Preferences (iTunes > Preferences on a Mac)
3) In the Preferences menu, click the Advanced tab
4) In the Advanced menu, you should see a button that says "Reset Cache". Please click this button.

"Unknown error : Support information ; Security Code - 359"

I've got a user who is attempting to input his digital signature however upon doing so he receives the error message "Unknown error : Support information ; Security Code - 359"
Does any one eccountered this problem and knows how to fix it?

I think that you may have the answer already, contact iTunes Store Support. I see more users posting about purchasing problems with that game than I have ever seen with any other game or App since I have been participating here over two and a half years ago.

If you really want to try something other than contacting support, try signing out of your ID, restart the iPad and sign into your ID again. Then try to update the information again. I do believe that you will have to contact iTunes Store Support in order to resolve this.

urgh... just noticed my previous post said i have mountain lion... i meant that i have snow leopard. no idea why i messed that up!
anyway, i just tried reinstalling snow leopard from the usb key that came with the computer. Then, I installed software updates until it told me there were no more updates. After that, I tried the app store again, and it still is giving me the unknown error. really irked by that. may have to take it back to the apple store yet again, to see if i can figure out why the app store won't work.

Google Apps account now showing Unknown Error when trying to sign in

This is a post I made over at webosnation.com, but no one knows what's going on over there (but a handful of people are having the same problem).
For some reason my main email account has decided to fly off a cliff on both my FrankenPre2 and my TouchPad. The things I've tried from searching around the net:
-Changing my password
-Making sure the new password does NOT use any special characters
-Removing the account from my Pre and re-adding it
-Disabling multiple sign-on from the Google side (I had it linked to the account I use for Google Voice)
-Removing all patches from my Pre
None of these things have had any effect. When I put a wrong password in it comes back with an invalid password error. The correct password bring back an Unknown Error.
The funny thing is I have a 2nd Google Apps account set up on both devices for work, and that hasn't had any problems. What makes this even weirder is my friend who owns the Google Apps domain I'm on has a TouchPad with his account set up on it and it works fine. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
