COGI review at time of prd ord confirmation

Hi Gurus,
When a production order is confirmed it tells the person how many auto
goods mvts failed, but it does not show the specific failed movements.
Is there a quick way to view the COGI errors for the order i have
justconfirmed?
Points will be rewarded.

You can see detail error message by changing your IMG setting.
I guess at the moment you AUTO GM setting is configured not to publish detail error message. If you change following customize, you can see detail error message (which line item has problem and what kind of error occur).
1. Go toT-CD OPK4
2. Open you confirmation setting of related plant and PP order type.
3. Move to general individual entry tab
4. in error handling field, you can see "goods movement" check box.
So please select "goods movement" check box.
With above parameter, you will see detail report of Auto GM error during confirmation (if error occur).
In the report of auto GM error, you can see several information.
(And in the menu of this report, you has 1 blue icon. If you click this, all information is displayed).

Dear Experts,
We have got batch management system for raw material in our organisation. Here, we are selecting the batch number to the material while releasing the production order ( order will not be relesed if we are not selecting batch number). I do not want to assign batch number during order release but I want to select the batch number while confirming the order. Is it possible? If so how?

this completly depends on your requirements and I cannot know this requirements. Select the key combination for which your batch search strategie should be valid and then add the characteristics you want to use for selection.
For the first step I cannot give you a recommendation as I don't know if you want to create a strategie Please check documentation under for further assistance:

I already have configured system to generate Batch Automatically at the Time of Production Order Release.
But now i want to generate Batch Automatically at the Time of Production Order Confirmation
Please help me with the necessary Configurations which would be required into achieving the same.

I have maintained the same for my Order Type in OPJ2 but still the same is not being picked at the time of Order Confirmation and it is being put to COGI mentioning the error as No batch specified in production order
Also if i try to Manually Select the Batch through in Goods Movt. of CO15 it is giving a msg that No Strategy could be found.
I have done following settings:
1. Have maintained Condn Records in MBC1 for the component whose batch is to be determined.
2. In material master in MRP2 Batch Determination: 2
3. In OPL8: Batch determination search procedure
4. In OPJ2: BD ticked for that relevant Order Type
5. In OPKP: Automatic Batch creation kept as BLANK.

Back up all data.

         I have 4 assemblies i want select 3 assemblies when converting pld ord to prd ord,how to proceed, pls any one guide me.
For EX:
          Cnc machine is finished product.
          Assemblies are:
          1. Zaxis
          2. Xaxis
          3.Head Stock
          4.Tail Stock
While converting pld ord to prd ord i should select only 1,2,3 no need of 4th...how to proceed pls guide me.
One more option is we can delete 4th item in prd ord..But i want while converting pld ord to prd ord itself i should select.

Seperate/Different COGS at the time of delivery from sales order

Hi Friends,
I have a reqirement where i need to hit different COGS accounts at the time of goods issue for a sales order, based on distribution channel. All sales would have same order type and all the parameters (material, item catagories, customers etc etc) are same, except for the distribution channel.
For example Sales Org/D.channel/Div S001/01/01 should hit like
CR: ABC Inventory
DB: COGS 1
and for Sales Org/D.channel/Div S001/02/01 should hit like
CR: ABC inventory
DB COGS 2.
Limitations:
1. I do not have choice of creating a seprate order types for these sales
2. Creating a new movement type is an option, but i would like this to make it as last option.
Directions for soutions.
1. Has any body implemented BADI for such case. If yes, request to share the BADI name.
2. can we use Substitutions, Is subsitutuions possibile for replacing the GL Accounts at the time of posting?

You can put the substitution at the Document Line level, please write below logic:
Prerequisite:
BKPF-BLART = "WA" & BSEG-HKONT = "you normal GL Account which will is picked normally"
Substituin:
BSEG-HKONT User Exit
Now in this user exit as ABAPer to write code as per below logic
1. Pick BSEG-VBEL2, pass the same in VBAK-VBELN and check VBAK-SPART if this is 01 then move COGS 1 to BSEG-HKONT where transaction is GBB,
similary write the sam elogic for Dist Channel 2

Batch creation at the time of order creation & confirmation on the batch.

Hi all,
My client's requirement is while creation of the production order of say 100 pcs, system should create 4 batches, each of 25 (this might be different every time) of that order & also the confirmation (CO11) should be done on those batches.
Also if the order contains 10 operations then confirmation of operation no. 0020 should not be possible before confirmation of 10, whether it is for partial & whole quantity.
You can say these batches will reprsent the lots.

You can use this function to automatically create a batch for the material to be produced.
You can make the following settings in Customizing (production scheduling profile):
No automatic creation of batches in production orders
Automatic creation of batches during order creation
Automatic creation of batches during order release
To carry out automatic batch splitting via batch determination, proceed as follows:
Select the component that you wish to split and choose Component ® Batch management ® Trigger batch det.
The system lists all batches that meet the selection criteria and that have available stock on the requirements date.
Distribute the required quantity as required over the existing batches.
Choose .
The system copies each batch as a separate component into the component overview screen.
For more information refer to Batch Determination.
To carry out manual batch splitting with manual batch assignment, proceed as follows:
Select the component for which you want to carry out batch splitting. Choose Edit ® Insert ® Batch split.
Enter the batch number and the required quantity manually in the component.
Save your entry.

You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
* Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
* Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer.
You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.

Review approved time sheets in MSS

Hello to everybody
We are working on a ESS/MSS implementation (ECC6.00 with EhP4), including CATS regular scenarios.
In MSS the "Approve Time" scenario displays all Time sheets submitted by the employees.
After the approval, the manager is no more able to see the approved time sheets.
Is there any scenarios in MSS, where the manager can review the approved time sheets?
Where can he see the history of approved time sheets?

I think the main ways to get this would be
1) Absence Days iview MSS
2) Attendance overview MSS
3) Team Calendar MSS
4) Reporting (ECC, CAT-TS or MSS)
5) Prior to approval in the UWL work item
6) Prior to approval captured in Review step of Timesheet approval iview
7) CA-TS transactions in ECC
Similiarly please also check in UWL after approval to see if work item and associated timesheet is visible

Hp 4630 windows 8, 64-bit - no time/date on fax confirm. sheet on dial-up AND No fax with wi-fi?

Hi. I have a problem with faxing. When I fax using regular phone dial-up, the time/date is not stamped on the confirmation sheet printed out after a fax is completed.
Also, when I switch to wi-fi on xfinity, the fax doesn't recognize it and won't fax.

I hope you had a good weekend. I understand you are experiencing issues with your fax setup. I would like to assist with that!
I would recommend performing a power reset on the printer. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also suggest this HP document on Setting up a New Fax for information on setting up date, time and general settings.

Loss qty related Bill of material move to scrap location automaticaly at the time of process order confirmation

I need one clarification, i am raise one process order in COR1 - Qty 1000 kg, reservation completed against the process order bill of material main storage location ( 0001 & 0002 ) To Production storage location ( 0004 ) through MB21 with mvnt.type 311, store person also moved the bill of material main storage location ( 0001 & 0002 ) To Production storage location ( 0004 ) through MB1B.
Issue is at the time of confirmation i am enter the OK qty or packed qty in yield column - 950 kg , remaining 50 kg is enter in loss column.> Go to confirmation bill of material qty calculated at only for related in yield qty. Remaining loss qty related bill of material not consumed it is available in production storage location ( 0004 ),then one by one raw material and packing material qty moved to scrap location through MB1A - 541 Mvnt type.
If any other way for easy reservation and goods issue against the process order main storage location to production storage location.
I need at the time of confirmation enter yield qty related BOM qty consumed in 261 consumption, remaining loss qty related BOM qty taken scrap mvt.type 541 in automatically if it is possible for any customization at the time of loss qty enter related bill of material qty also posted in scrap ?
Kindly help me for the issue !

In Standard practice the scrap generated during the production process should be maintaid as negative qty and with differnent material codes which acts as BY Product.
In your case when you maintain the scrap percentage for BOM components , it will copied to the production order with adtditional qty and it will be consumed when you do confirmation and Goods moevement and at the same time the Scrap material is generated/received with movement type 531( not 541) as by product received out of production.
You can maintain the same BOM component as By product in BOM system will generate the stock to a different SLoc but the cost will be wrong.

Scarp update to SL with Prd order -Confirmation

We are doing Rejection Scrap updation with 501 movt type - Plant - SL - refernce with Order (Order filed is made mandatory in display settings)
(Scrap generated unplanned while doing production process).
Now the new requirement came like , according to confirmation process - unplanned scrap will get generated and Business want to do MB!C-501 with Confirmation and not with Order.(But confirmation field is not available in option Displat screen layout )
Kindly suggect how to proceed

In Production Process - Two type sof scrap generate
1. planned - which is maintained in BOm and update with 531 mvt type
2. Unplanned - which is booked in scrap field while doing Confirmation. Suppose my Order material broke on the way/while doing maching etc . ( No where found in Inventory)
here case 2 , that scrap mat F is also sold . So an alternative method mentioned was with 501 will update scrap material and ref made as Prd Order Number(order mat Y).
It is fine , some how it meets the business req.BUt now they want with ref to confirmation But confrimation field is not avilable in Display screen for 501.
I know 501 is not for this , but for the business [purpose it was mapped like this .
551 will update o cost centre and not in INV
So kindly help me to upload the scrap with 501 with Production confirmation and not with Production Order

Process ord confirmation date

Hi all,
I am making a Zreport in PP for the client. In the report output there is one column named as "Actual finish date" which as the name suggests is the process order finished date for confirmation.
For this I am using "GLTRIactual finish date" field from AFKO table. But in this table many of the process orders are showing the date as "00:00:0000" even though the process order is confirmed & in the order header some value for actual finish date field-GLTRI is there.
When i see the same order in S021 the same field shows some date value.
Since some ABAP coding is done I want to use only AFKO & not S021.
Can any body help me to solve the problem of GLTRI not getting updated in AFKO.

Another 17" Review (this time from Europe)

Received my 17" MacBook Pro today - shipped from Shanghai. After reading so many posts of people having problems with MacBooks, I was concerned. But it turned out to be near perfect. Here are some details
This is my first Apple Notebook after an G4 iMac. I waited for a G5 notebook but it never came. Then the MacBooks came but no 17" and no FW800 on the 15" - I will not buy a new iPod as long as the 2nd generation iPod does its work. I decided to wait a bit longer. I was looking for a desktop replacement because I only use it at work and carry in my larger case to work. I don't need so much mobility. I finally decided to buy the 17" after the first reviews very only. My employer gets some discount at Apple wich allowed me to buy an additional 1GB for free.
CONFIGURATION: Standard configuration. I'll add another 1GB RAM from a local retail store later. You can never have too much RAM.
DISPLAY: I choose a non-glossy screen. Glossy screens look better at first but because I am not a gamer and don't watch movies on my notebook it would only have drawbacks for me. I know the current glossy screend from some co-workers. Way to much reflection for my taste. Always hated this on CRTs. Display is good for a notebook but needs some calibration as all do. No dead pixels, even contrast and colors. Lower left corner seems a bit brighter but all notebook I every saw were not perfect in at least one corner. After having it running a few hours this went nearly away. Not as good as external displays but that's always the case for a Notebook. Could been a bit more brighter. But It always can be. Better than the Dell display I have in my notebook from work. But not as good as the displays in an iMac or the Cinema Displays (they could use an upgrade BTW) but again better than the two external Dell displays I have at work I regarding color and even contrast.
CASE: No manufacturing errors, no displaced keys, case perfectly closed, no scratches. As I expect for a high price product and some quality control.
HEAT: No problem. Gets a bit warm but I cannot follow people saying they are burning themselves. Seems to be the first high performance notebooks they ever had. These things always get hot. Not hotter or cooler than any other 17" is ever saw. The Sonys might be a bit cooler but they are also thickerr. But it is way cooler than the 15" Dell I have from work.
KEYBOARD/TOUCHPAD: Best touchpad I ever used. I always use touchpads on notebooks. Why carry a mouse with you. Once you get used to them they are great. The two finger thing is a nice addition. I was concerned about the missing 2nd button. I use a multi button Logitech mouse on my G4 800Mhz iMac. But not a really an issue. Touch pad is very accurate and button doesn't click as annoying as it does in all other notebook I ever encountered. Even the pricy Thinkpads have a touch pad button that make the hole thing sounds like cheapest plastic. Keyboard seems to be the same I know from the G4 Powerbooks. Not 100% my style but it is a matter of getting used to. Anyway I use Synergy2 at home to use one mouse and keyboard over multiple machines. And when one the road the keyboard will be as fine as any other ones. Because the touchtpad is quite big the keyboard is a bit too far at the bak for my taste. But that was always the same on the G4 Powerbooks. It is always a tradeoff between keyboard location and touchpad size. Because I am comfy with touchpads it's nothing to worry about after using it a few hours.
WHINE/NOISE: No whine at all. Not able to reproduce it yet. I know what you guys mean with the whine. I would call it a chirp. This is also present on the Dell I have from work when running on battery under certain circumstances when the screen is very bright (not the occasional inverter noise the Dell also has). But even on the Dell this is no problem because the fan is so loud. This baby is silent under normal work! I barely can hear it in a normal work environment. When under high load the fans kick in more and then it sounds like an idle Dell but the frequency isn't as annoying as in the Dell.
PERFORMANCE: compared to my G4 800Mhz iMac that I upgraded to 1,35GHz half a year ago (while waiting for the new PowerBooks) this baby is really fast. Everything feels snappier at once. Even with the same amount of memory like my G4 (1GB in that case) the difference is big. OK my old machine is 3,5 years old. RAM is an issue for me that's why the 17" will get another GB. I would even add more RAM it would be supported. Four slots for 1GB would have been better. The 5400rpm HD is fine. No difference to the 7200rpm I have in another Desktop machine at work. Way faster then the one in my Dell which makes the machine crawling. Of course in a year this machine will feel slow compared to new ones. It always does.
ROSETTA: Because I need to compare this to my old G4: faster even under Rosetta then the 1,35 GHZ G4. It's fine for me. And universal binaries will come with the next version. For now it's good.
THERMAL PASTE: Yes, I open all new equipment. Curse of the engineer. Very good applied as I am used from Apple and all vendors. Never saw anyone making a big mistake when they use thermal paste.
ISIGHT/REMOTE: This is really small, but makes very good pictures. Big improvement over the 1st generation iSight I have on my G4 and better than any cell phone camera I saw. Nice addition. I use iChat frequently but I would prefer if other IM and videoconference software would be available supporting a camera on OSX for better communication with people on XP machines. The remote is a nice addition. I don't really need it because I use my cell phone to control iTunes. Need to check out if KeyNote does support the remote. That would be great thing when doing presentations. But it reacts a bit poor, or maybe I haven't found the receiver yet and point it at the wrong spot.
BOOT CAMP: Haven't played with it. I need to find a way to install our company's XP build here from a cloned disk image. But I am more in for virtualization for a few business apps than really booting another OS. Parallels Desktop seems to be worth a try. But I doubt it will support anything I need. I'm sure Apple will to add virtualization to the next OS release on the level VMware does on Wintel machines.
PACKAGING/BUNDLING: If you care: Nice, slim, easy to carry and store if you have to sent it in. Came with different power plugs which is not unusual for electronics sold in Switzerland. Also latest iWork and iLife were pre-installed. DVD came in a nice carton which is better for storage than what Apple used in the past.
SUMMARY:
A nearly perfect specimen. Worth the money, not cheap but very good cost/performance ratio. A machine that will bring me over the next 3 years wich is my buying frame for Apple machines.
The following things would have made it perfect for me: Support for 4x1 GB RAM, brighter screen (it never can be too bright) and removing the DVD-Burner for a second battery would have been also a plus as well as docking station support and integrated SD card reader (have to check if some exist for PCCard 3/4). But this are the points I know before and they were the same on the PowerBooks. There is no perfect machine out there and never will be. But this baby comes as close as possible.
17" MacBook Pro Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Ordered on the 10th May in the afternoon, was shipped 20th and was at my office on the 26th in the afternoon (W8720xx BTW). I picked it up today because last Friday I was out of the office. According to the tracking information there was a two day delay due to "technical reasons" with the courier of which Apple also informed me via email.
I also need to mention that Apple changed the price after the notebook was shipped but still gave me this discount. This is how you make a customer happy - otherwise I would have cancelled and reordered anyway
And some Bootcamp Update: I played with it. Now I understand was this thing does. I first thought is was some kind of APM boot loader. But it is not. It basically creates an XP driver CD and re-partitions the drive for XP installation. But the latest firmware update added an APM layer to the EFI firmware. That's the important thing. With that I am able to boot all Windows CD. No problem to manually repartition the drive if you have some Unix knowledge, restore some image with Windows (e.g. Bart's Windows PE) or Linux based recovery CDs. Now trying it on an external drive.
Addition for Battery Life: Haven't let it run dry yet. I'll post a small update how long it will last when I start my software installation marathon tommorow afternoon. This should be a hint how long it will last in working like conditions (meaning not playing games or watching movies). Guess this could be interesting for some instead of the usual DVD watching test.

Gr in more than one batch for 1 prd ord

I have a tipical problem. We have batch creation at the time of order release. Now some times due to some process error we recevie output with different characterstics so the whole output cannot be said as one batch. Is is possible now to do GR in 2 different batches.
Also this happens some time so i cannot go for batch creation at material movement as it will always create new batch.

Abhishek,
You can implement the user-exit EXIT_SAPLCOBT_001 under enhancement PPCO0001 where-in based on your requirement you can create multiple batches for your production order. We have used this user-exit at current client to create multiple header batches based on header material characteristics and store the information in a custom table to validate while doing GR.
You can use CALL FUNCTION 'VB_CREATE_BATCH' to create the batches as per your requirement having the characteristics value that you want.
Also make sure the automatic batch creation setting in Prodn Scheduling profile has been turned-off so that the batch is created only through the user-exit.
Please try and revert back.
