ColdFusionMX7 Email - Error "Authentication Failed"

We are running Exchange 2007 and I am trying to setup the email portion of ColdFusion. Under the admin tool "Mail" settings I am setting my account up as:
user:pass@smtpserverip
I have alos tried:
domain\user:pass@smtpserverip
I can smtp to my mail server from that server with no issues. The mail log gives an error:
"Error","scheduler-2","11/20/09", "12:58:18",,"Authentication Failed"

Suppose my username at the mail server is 01BKBK02. The mail server is mail.bkbkInc.com, internal IP 193.68.95.122, public IP 95.96.46.152
Then these login names are possible:
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
However, the second one is only possible if the mail server is within your private network.

Getting the error "Authentication failed."

Hi,
I am getting the error +"Authentication failed. If problem persists, please contact the system administrator"+ while login to OEM12c grid console as sysman user.
I thought it was sysman password related and set the new password at DB level and OMS level too.
Changed the SYSMAN user password at DB level as: alter user sysman identified by qmpzla102;
Changed the SYSMAN user password at Grid level (OMS level) as: emctl config oms -store_repos_details -repos_host ushdc8951.us.deloitte.com -repos_port 1521 -repos_sid OER -repos_user SYSMAN -repos_pwd qmpzla102
Though I am getting the same error while login to the OEM console.
Please help me in getting the solution.

Email Settings Authentication Failed - User and Pass are correct

Starting late last week I noticed I wasn't getting any tickets, even when I was submitting them. Today I checked my email settings and although they hadn't been changed an unknown error occurred. Figuring a bad address I changed the email server address from server.domain.org to the URL we use to connect phones and access our web mail system. After hitting submit I get a message saying it's an invalid username or password. I've double checked the username and password and I am able to login to our Exchange server (from my computer and the Spiceworks server) using it. I've tried various combinations of the username [domain]\username, [email protected], and [email protected] All fail authentication. I also, for laughs, changed the password on the account. With Administrator Privileges Error: Authentication Failed

i have an applescript app with the following line:
do shell script "/System/Library/StartupItems/CiscoTUN/CiscoTUN restart" with administrator privileges
When I run this script in Script Editor, I'm prompted for the admin username/password, but when I run the script saved as an application, i receive:
"Authentication failed."
I've tried this script with and without "sudo" preceding the rest of the shell script, but it behaves the same either way.
Any clue why "with administrator privileges" is working in Script Editor but not when the application is run alone? Thanks!

My wild shot in the dark.
If you have not saved your script as application bundle, try saving it as such.
Applet as application bundle contains universal binary while applet as (non-bundle) application contains ppc binary, which is run via Rosetta in x86mac.
This might make difference.

I get this error when trying to login to portal.
I checked the passwords and there are OK.
I runed the Diagnostic tool and everything is OK.
What can I do?
The schema is portal30
and the passwords are the default.

Portal login - authentication failed (WWC-41419) error.

Has anyone experienced this problem while trying to login to the default portal30 schema. My env is RH7.0, jdk1.3 and portal 30665. Please share your experience and resolution. Or maybe a clue where to look for error message would be appreciated.

Authentication failed because Outlook doesn't support any of the available authentication methods.

When attempting to check and send email from my Mac via iCloud, I keep getting the error "Authentication failed because Outlook doesn't support any of the available authentication methods." I have change just about everything I can see available, but continue to get this message.
I am able to send email via iCloud using my .Me and .Mac adresses, and that tells me that it is not able to store "sent emails" on iCluud and will store them loaclly on my computer. I can handle this, but whem going to iCloud Web page haave nothing withing the "sent" mailbox.
Using OS 10.7.2, and Outlook 2011 version 14.1.3

802.1x authentication fail

i have a juniper device linux operating system on that we have radius server configured and i am trying to integrate my WLC with that radius
i have added WLC as a host there in radius
on wlc i have configured authentication like radius ip shared secret key and done
its working i can ping radius server
also in wlc i configured on Wlan aaa allow override check box and also hited the WPA2 802.1x layer2 security and radius server option brought on top.
i also configured my windows wireless adaptor as PEAP MSCHAP v2
i am trying to connect this ssid and its asking for my AD accounts but when i enter that its not authenticating users and giving this logs.

You should post on the Juniper forums regarding your policy configuration. You should stick with using a radius than just doing ldap through the wlc. Here is a link for webauth using ldap, but should get you close. Again... you should look at getting your juniper radius configuration fixed first.

I have devices loaded but new devices keep getting this error "Authentication failed on device 3 times. Failed to detect SSH version running on the device. PRIMARY-STARTUP config Fetch Operation failed for TFTP" - which trying to get configurations. I am using LMS 3.0.1
I tried to TELNET on devices via Putty port 22 no good. Please help?

I have same error:
I am setting the smtp authentication in OCSR2 to true, after that, when ever I sent mail thru the server, it need the smtp authentication. I thought I had been successfully configure the server. But later on, when I trying to send mail to the user in the OCSr2 server(from hotmail mail), the mail was reject due to the error"authentication failed".
It seem that the authentication setting not only affect the mail relaying but also incoming mail connection. Is this true??

Hi All,
Now days i am facing some problem in authentication (i am using microsoft ADSI version LDAP Server) but am not able to authenticate the LDAP users.
I have configured my LDAP server in the same manner as u mentioned in this blog.
when I am trying to authenticate the user from the RPD itself i m gettig the following error:
“authentication failed” (actually i forgot the exact message but it mean is same as i referred here)
though i am able authenticate the bind user ( which i used to configure the LDAP Server)
Please help me in this as i already wasted a lot of time in doing R&D to make it work..
I have an urgent requirement to do the same..

ARD AUTHENTICATION FAILED

Hello please can someone help.
I have setup apple remote access 100's of time before without any problems, however setting up my customers new server running 10.5.6 server when trying to connect using screen sharing or ARD i got the error authentication failed? I have checked the credentials and all is fine, if i disable remote management from the sharing preferences and just enable screen sharing I can connect ok.
If i do the same on with there 10.4.11 server all works fine.
I decided to setup 10.5 server on my mac pro at home and came across the very same problem, I have performed all system updates and searched the web for help but found nothing of any use.
any help or a push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

I had a similar problem and found that kickstarting ARD helped. This will kickstart enabling all privileges for all users:
sudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/k ickstart -activate -configure -access -on -restart -agent -privs -all

Psconsole Authentication Failed, Please reenter username and password

Hi,
I have JES5 installed ( App server + Directory server + Portal server + Access manager) on a windows 2003 server with Oracle 10g. After the installation i was able to access the amconsole, psconsole, and the admin console without any errors.
After the server was restarted, i started the application server and the directory server (dsadm start) and now i can login to admin console and /amconsle and also to the /portal/dt, but i am not able to login to /psconsole.
i have used the default login details(amadmin) login for both the /amconsole and the /psconsle, /amconsole logins sucessfully but /psconsole gives me the error "Authentication Failed, Please reenter username and password"

Also, when i try to start the cacaoadm or check for the status i get the Perl lib version (v5.8.3) doesn't match executable version (v5.8.8) error.

Hi,
depending on the cacao version used. The only authorized user (user allowed to use cacao) may be a privileged user (user part of local administrator group).
to know the version of cacao just run "cacaoadm -V" .
from 2.1 , non privileged user can install their own copy of cacao.
Your case (login on pconsole failing) may be a credential
probleme. did you check the password given for the connection ?
For the service part (enabling cacao) you must not touch the configuration. Everything is done using the command line.
you should not modify information set in the service manager.
just use the command line "cacaoadm enable -f <password file>". the Password file must contain the password of the Administrator who installed cacao.

J2EE_ADMIN login authentication failed everyday

Hi,
I went to http://host:port/nwa and log in with j2ee_admin. it says authentication failed though we did not change the password before.
I went to config tool, key storage,... to reset password for j2ee_admin and then sync it with j2ee_admin in ABAP end. restart j2ee. It worked. I could log in.
however it happened again this morning. I can't log in with j2ee_admin with error "authentication failed" in http://host:port/nwa or any portal login. I can't reset password and restart j2ee everyday. I want to fix this error.
what could be wrong?
