Color trouble

I have a Toshiba model # 23HLV86 and the I am having color and picture issues. When the tv is initially turned on~sound is fine, but there are stripes all over the screen so the picture isn't visible. After a few minutes the stripes go away or are just on the top 2 inches of the screen, but the color is now strange. It looks like a negative picture but with some color wash on it. There are colors visible like greens, purples, and reds but they are the wrong colors. for instance the people are green. I have unplugged the tv from the wall and that doesn't help. The colors used to come back after about 15 minutes but now it doesn't ever return to normal colors.

a screenshot with the original would also help together with the settings you applied to get that so that we can see if we can replicate your problem

here is a link to my css file
    http://www.trinitychurchwinnie.com/SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css

    There is no need to.
On your local system go to the site that you are woring on and delete the SpryAssets folder. Then go into the document that you are working on and delete the SpryMenuBar including the links to the JS and CSS files, the HTML starting with <ul id="MenuBar1" class="MenuBarHorizontal" and ending with the closing UL tag. Also delete the constructor at the bottom of the document.
Once you have removed all trace of the SpryMenuBar, reinstall it using the same mathod as you did the first time round.

  • Color trouble with JComboBox

I'm having trouble setting the background and foreground colors for disabled combo boxes. The thing is that the nasty Java system code uses the ComboBox.disabledForeground and ComboBox.disabledBackground UI values to set a combo boxes colors when it is disabled. They do NOT use the combo boxes (or renderers) background and foreground colors and overwrites whatever you set them to. This is all well and good if you plan to have ALL of your combo boxes use the same color schema as you can use the commands
    UIManager.getDefaults().put( "ComboBox.disabledForeground", color1 );
    UIManager.getDefaults().put( "ComboBox.disabledBackground", color2 );
Unfortunately I have two separate panals where I want different color schemas to be used. Dang!
I know very little about UI stuff. Is there any way to set attributes for components under specific panels? Is there any way to bypass the nasty Java system code? Do I have any hope at all?

    I handled it this way....

  • Color troubles printing to HP Color Laserjet 2600n

We are a school with a networked environment that includes about 40 Macbook Pros and 60 iMacs. Included in there are several eMacs and PCs. Over the past several weeks, our HP Color LaserJet 2600n printers have begun to exhibit printing where rather than the normal color printing, there appears to be added black toner on the print jobs. The PCs and eMacs are not exhibiting this problem at all, thus I eliminated the fuser possibility. I looked more at a potential driver issue.
These 2600n printers are shared out to the MBPs and iMacs via Workgroup Manager. They connect to these printers via Bonjour for printing. We do have an 802.11n wifi network with multiple SSIDs but no matter if it is cnonected over SSID or over wired gigabit ethernet, the problem still exists.
I tried printing via IP address, but the computers would not readily recognize the printers during setup, and when I manually selected the driver, the computers could not connect to the printer.
So, I am trying to figure out why all of a sudden these print jobs are exihibing severe color issues.

OK, I think I might have a solution. I have not tested it but I need to do a bit more research. What I have discovered is that it might be a Firmware issue. We found one that is still working fine and it actually has the older firmware numbered 20050610. The ones were are having the issues with are on firmware numbered 20070716.
I am going to see if I can revert the firmware... if I can find the older firmware!

  • Color for links, lines around photo's.. color trouble.

I must have changed something, somehow because this never happened in the past couple of weeks I've been playing with iWeb.
Now I started a new website and dropped in pictures and such. I drop in a couple of photos and when I go to try and change the line color around them.. I click on the line color box in inspector and it opens the color box. But regardless which color I choose, the line stays black. I tried it with rgb, the crayons, and again regardless of what I pick it doesn't change the color from black in inspector and of course doesn't change in in the design window.
Now the same is true for links. I highlight some text to link and put in the email address click the "format" part of the link thing in inspector and when I click on the color thing to change the color its a dark brown. I don't want it dark brown for my links. But again even though it opens the color box and even though I pick a color, it won't change it in inspector and it won't change it for my link.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks, Susan

  • Spark itemRenderer background color troubles

I've been spinning my wheels on this one all day. I have a DataGrid, and using a CSS file I have made the background transparent. I needed a column with icon images in each cell so I'm using an itemRenderer to add the images, which is working fine.
The problem is that the background of the cells using the item renderer is an off white solid color, where I need it to remain transparent like the rest of the DataGrid. I've tried using styles and setting backgroundAlpha, and I've also tried using the inline contentBackgroundAlpha, all to no avail.
The weird thing is that in all the documentation I've read says that the default background for an itemRenderer is transparent, which I'm finding is not the case. If anyone that has a solution to this, it would be much appreciated.

I still haven't solved this but after some experimenting I noticed that if I don't make the data grid background transparent (solid color rows) then the itemRenderer doesn't draw a white background. As soon as I set that backgroundAlpha property in the css to 0, it comes right back.

  • Color Trouble - Save for Web

    Hi,
When I save for web and devices in Illustator and then open the html document in Dreamweaver, the colors of my document appear VERY washed out. In AI I have the RGB set to sRGB and the color mode set to RGB.
Could someone suggest what might be happening here?
    Thanks!!

When you import a file you want to import an RGB file with a RGBs profile and you want to know that so that you can change it. If you have color management turned off you will not know what happened and it will not match.
Unless you take the time to make everything match then it will not work.
So any place image or file should be RGBs the document should be RGB and the color settings should be RGBs. If you place an image that is Adobe RGB 1998 and the your settings in AI is RGBs then there will be a change in the color and this is expected but not a wanted result. By embedding you are forced to go back convert the profile to RGBs in Photoshop then replacing it in Illustrator, this allows you to correct any difference there is so you can know what it looks like when place in Illustrator otherwise Illustrator will convert it to RGBs when save for the web but without any adjustments.
So yes I say they are wrong.

  • Color trouble with Epson 500

    Folks:
We recently purchased an Epson Workforce 500 all-in-one to replace an earlier Epson that broke. It also was an all-in-on (CX7000F).
Now, we can't get the colors to match up. Green prints as purple; red as a sienna brown or light bronze tone.
I've run the nozzle check, and it's perfect, and the colors all match.
    Any suggestions?

    We misinstalled the ink colors.

  • Monitor Color Trouble

The company I work at has a computer that is used for graphic design layout. One of the secretaries here switched a setting without knowing what or how she did it, and now the colors are too bright on certain areas of the monitor and too saturated on others. The computer has an admin account that was created after the change, but that account has no problem with the monitor. If anyone has any idea how I should fix this problem I'd appreciate it. The settings it is at are: 1152 x 870 @ 75 Hz.
    Thanks,
    Ted

I'm not clear on the specifics of the monitor you have but CRTs displays need to be degaussed if they are exposed to magnets (i.e. speakers, some key rings etc etc). There may well be an option in the monitors menu to perform this function. Other monitors perform this function everytime they turn on and so the problem would lie elsewhere.Happy New Year

  • Keynote PDF Export and Color Profile

I have some color trouble with the pdf-exports of keynote: the color that is shown in the pdf does not correpond with the one in the keynote file. The pdf has more ”milky” colors. Maybe it is a color profile thing. But what profile doese keynote use for the screen? Or does it convert rgb-colors to cmyk? Anyway, how to sync exactly keynote and pdf colors for screen presentations?

There are a few things you can try:
In the PDF export box there is an Image Quality dropdown, where you can choose Good, Better or Best. Which are you using?
Alternatively you can just output the file as a PDF using the Print function. Your profile says you are using Mac OS X 10.4 in which case, in the print window click on the PDF button and choose Compress PDF to output a smaller file.
If you have since moved up to 10.5, this option is no longer available by default, but there is an Automator action that restores it here : http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/automator/compresspdfworkflow.html
The other thing to check is whether your graphics are at the actual size you need them or if you have scaled down a big picture, for example. The PDF will still contain information for the full-size image.
Re-sizing them in something like Photoshop to the size you need first before placing them in the presentation may help.
Finally, if you have Acrobat (Pro, not just the reader) you can use the Reduce File Size option in the FIle menu to compress the PDF you get from Keynote.
Post back with how you get on.

  • Screen colors go stupid after boot. (FX5600-TD128)

I resently installed the FX5600. I previously had a Radon 7200 installed. I frist removed the ATI drivers and utilities before installing the MSI FX5600 and it's drivers. At first it worked ok. I then decided to install the E-Color utility. It then that I started having color troubles. I didn't like what E-Color did to the colors of photographs. So uninstalled E-color. Now things got worse. When the pc rebooted the colors were fine up until the icons started appearing on the desktop. The colors went to an almost random pattern. The only way to fix it was to click on the Nivida Icon in the systray go to custom color settings and click "Restore Hardware Defaults". There are no custom ones shown above this line.
So the question is. How do I fix it so the colors always boot up to the default and stay there? The driver is for some reason finding bogus color correction data and installing it at bootup.
One more thing. I went to install the InterVideo WinDVD software, (which came bundled), and no CD key was included, (which the install requires). Also the MSI Media Center Deluxe II did not install properly. There's a problem with one of the dll files and I also could not uninstall it.
I'm probably going to have to wipe the C drive and start over from scratch to remove all of the corruption. But I would like to have a short term fix for now.

have you tried completely wiping the video card drivers?  theres a program called DriverCleaner, here's the link:

yup, it seems this is a common problem with no fix yet...  here's the link to that problem:

did you get a disc bundled with your videocard called RestoreIT!  ?  i received this with mine, but never bothered installing it.  earlier last week, i messed a few things up on my system, and if i had put this on and had it running in the background, i could probably have saved myself.  it is very similar to the WindowsXPSystemRestore, but it has a lot more options and flexibility.  my weekend was spent re-installing Windows, and this time around, i'm gonna be smart and get it up and running for any of those "just in case" situations.
if you do decide to wipe Windows, since you know ahead of time, at least you can back up everything on your harddrive....

I have trouble reading in Black and White. On my PC I can change the background  color (and I am not just talking about for a word or pages document) but for eveything so anything that was a white background I can put in what ever color I like but it still prints in Black and white.. I can't see how to do this on the Macbook air. on my PC I do this in display. Sort of putting colored film over the screen I dont know what to do. Can anyone help?

    Hello Floridamacbookpro,
You may be interested in the 'invert colors' Accessibility feature. This can be invoked by pressing the Control, Option, Command, and 8 keys on your keyboard. This only affects your display, and does not have any affect on printed items.
Mac OS X displays inverted image colors (white on black, reverse type)
