Command Line FMLE v3 failing on Windows 7

In addition to the problem in the previous thread (DVR Auto Record), we are also experiencing the following error when trying to call FMLE from the command line using the generated profile.xml from the GUI.
We are running Windows 7 Professional 32-bit on an Intel Core i7 machine.

I found the same problem on multiple Windows 7 systems.  I resolved this by changing the compatability mode to Windows XP
sp3.  Go to FMLECMD.EXE, right click and change the compatability and it seemed to work with a couple volume issues that where quickly resolved.

  • Command line to extract file in windows XP and Windows 7

I want to copy files from a zipped folder of any source to C:\XYZ folder.
    which command should I use?
    example:
    source folder : Ashok.zip
This zip folder contains a.txt and ABC folder. Now i have to copy this a.txt and whole ABC folder to C: XYZ using command line. Please Suggest !

    Hi A Lamichhane,
As I know, there is no legacy command could get that goal in Windows xp and 7 since it might need java command or vbscript, however if you really need unzip from the command prompt using ONLY Windows' built-in capabilities, we could use powershell script.
    $shell = new-object -com shell.application
$zip = $shell.NameSpace(“ fiel path you need unzip”)
    foreach($item in $zip.items())
    $shell.Namespace(“path you need copy to”).copyhere($item)
I tested that and it is easy to use.

  • Using -pingbackAllowed in command line silent install fails

I've got a script to install an Air based app, the crucial part of which is:
    sudo /Applications/Utilities/Adobe\ AIR\ Application\ Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe\ AIR\ Application\ Installer -silent -eulaAccepted -location /Applications /private/tmp/Traffic14.1.0\ Update/TrafficApplication-Installer.air
This works fine but I now want to change this so that it checks for AIR updates using -pingbackAllowed option, so when i add it to the above line like so:
    sudo /Applications/Utilities/Adobe\ AIR\ Application\ Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe\ AIR\ Application\ Installer -silent -eulaAccepted -pingbackAllowed -location /Applications /private/tmp/Traffic14.1.0\ Update/TrafficApplication-Installer.air
it fails with a "too many arguments" error.
So i remove the -eulaAccepted argument but still get the same error
    Am I doing something wrong?
    I'm running this OS X 10.9.5
    Thanks in advance

Though following installation procedure may not be supported but it worked for me.
    create Inventory Location
    mkdir /var/SP/weloadm/home/oraInventory
Create an file oraInst.loc with contents in the

  • CUPS print job options fail when called from lp (UNIX command line)

Under Leopard this command-line print request fails to respect the specified job options:
    lp -o number-up=2 -o page-border=double <filename>
Though it worked great in Tiger, the number-up and page-border job options are now disregarded. I have tried lots of things (and wasted lots of paper) such as setting them permanently with lpoptions (and they do appear changed when the lpoptions command is repeated), using lpr instead of lp, reinstalling the printer via the CUPS localhost web interface, enabling non-Bonjour scanning with the hack to the CUPS preference file, deselecting "Last Printer Used" for the default printer in the System Preferences -- nope.
I have not tried other job options; I assume that whatever is breaking these two is breaking all the others, and even if it isn't, these two are what I want.
Is something new in Leopard overriding lpoptions job options? How do I make it stop? It is sooooo aggravating when something that used to work fine breaks. The printer is an HP LaserJet 4000N connected by Ethernet and discovered with AppleTalk.
    Thanks for any advice!

Thanks John, I did search but somehow missed that thread.
However it did not help. With or without the "-p printername" argument lpoptions does make a persistent change to its own data:
    +$ lpoptions+
    +media=Letter sides=one-sided finishings=3 copies=1 job-hold-until=no-hold job-priority=50 number-up=2 auth-info-required=none job-sheets=none,none printer-info=Barrow printer-is-accepting-jobs=1 printer-is-shared=0 printer-location='Local Zone' printer-make-and-model='HP LaserJet 4000 Series' printer-state=3 printer-state-change-time=1209495301 printer-state-reasons=none printer-type=2134228 page-border=double+
You can see that the printer "Barrow" has remembered "number-up=2" and "page-border=double". Regardless if I give any of these commands:
    +lpr <filename>+
    +lpr -P Barrow <filename>+
    +lp <filename>+
    +lp -d Barrow <filename>+
none of them show the results of these option settings (and somewhere in the forest another tree is cut down).

  • ERROR: -1639 INVALID COMMAND LINE ARGUMENT

Trying to install software for Shuffle that Santa brought and get this error messsage...
"Error: -1639 invalid command line argument. Consult the windows Installer SDK for detailed command line help."
    Install stops at this point.
SOMEONE HELP... My kid is chomping at the bit !
    Thanks.

Ok I'll do some more searching but I found something in the community forums.
APPSearch can not return this data into a property, so instead, for some unspeakable reason, returns a value of Null, follwed by another Null. This means that the property is created, and populated with two null characters. Bad news if the property also happens to be a PUBLIC property. All public properties are passed as part of the command line sent in a stream to the background installer process by the Execute Action. Since this stream now contains a double null value in a property, the stream is prematurely terminated. This creates an invalid command line, and thus the 1639 error.
This user solved it by using the MSi Cleanup installer util.
    EDIT: A little more info...
This problem is almost impossible to detect through the MSI log files since our friends at Microsoft chose to limit the length of any line in the log. It is impossible to get a dump of the full command line that generates this error.
EDIT2:Note that error 1639 only ocurrs when the install package is run from removable media. When the package is run from local storage, the behavior is far more obtuse. The background install process, failing to receive a complete command line, is forced to run as if there had been no UI session, which in turn causes the APPSearch action to run again as if the install was running in silent mode. This causes re-evaluation of all properties a second time, destroying the feature selections made in the UI session, and also forcing the install to run under user credentials instead of elevated, even though AdminUser, ALLUSERS and Privleged properties are set. This is a very serious error that causes total failure of the installation.

  • Command line build problem

We have a large help project I'm migrating to RoboHelp 6
(nearly 3000 topics, 12 chms plus a master file). We generate using
a script that calls the command-line option. One of the projects
fails during command line processing, even though I can build it
from within the GUI without fail. When I run the command line
command, this is the message that is returned:
    "D:\quartus\robohelp\subs\reference>"d:\Adobe\RoboHelp
    6.0\RoboHTML\RHCL.exe" reference.xpj
Adobe (R) RoboHelp Project Command Line Compiler version

    Project: D:\quartus\robohelp\subs\reference\reference.xpj
    Layout: Microsoft HTML Help.
    Output: D:\quartus\robohelp\reference.chm.
    Scanning project for compilation....
Error: Failed to scan all the project files. Please use
    RoboHelp to recover the project.
Unexpected Error: Failed to prepare single source data for
RHCL. Please try to compile it in RoboHTML."
If I open the project in the GUI and compile it, then compile
from the command line, it works fine. But if I clear the directory,
run the NGCMD.exe command and get the files out and run the
RHCL.exe, I get the same error message.
    Thanks

Finally I figured out this problem.
It is because one .fpj file missing in the image folder.
When I was using X5, there is no image.fpj in the image
folder, but after upgrading to RH6, using the command line compiler
will fail if there is no the .fpj file under the image folder.
Checking in the image.fpj to the server, then check it out to
your build machine, everything is OK now.

  • "Command Line Here" in Finder

In Windows Explorer, I can right click a folder and click "Command Line Here" to launch the command prompt at that path. Is this doable in Leopard? Thanks.

I see your point. Thanks. I use the command prompt and the "command line here" pretty often in Windows, having grown up with DOS, and was just hoping to find the same thing. If such an option is not readily available, I'll just use Thomas' workaround. We can't ask for everything right?
BTW, I am still looking for a keyboard shortcut to lock my screen without putting the Mac to sleep. In Windows, I just hit Windows-L key combination (to switch users). I know that in Mac I can click on Lock Key Chain or Switch Users on that bar at the top of the screen, but I can't find the keyboard shortcuts for that (without writing some script or hack that is). I would like to avoid having to use the mouse. Furthermore, the hot corners (for screensavers) somehow don't work when I move the mouse pointer there so hot corners is not an option. But really, there is no keyboard shortcut for locking the screen? I've searched everywhere but can't find it.
After, Vista's dissappointing performance, I am looking for an alternative OS and really liking Leopard so far. Any help to ease my transition would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

  • How can I import eex files into Applications EUL from the unix command line

How can I import *.eex and *.dis files into an Applications EUL from the unix command line?
    Thanks

    Hi
The simple answer is you either have to use the client tool DIS51ADM to import files using the command line (Discoverer Admin is a windows only client tool), or the Java command line which needs a browser.
In theory if you have a browser running on your Unix box you may be able to use the Java command line to make this work.
    Best wishes

please tel me is there any other way to open it, i have tried it from the phyical directory also.
    but oracel is working properlly.

Open a command prompt (cmd), from there run:
c:\> sqlplus user/passwordHow do you plan to "load data", based on what format? Sqlplus might not be the right tool for the job.
Sql*loader is one option. Another option to help with migration is Oracle SQL Developer (separate, free tool).

Is there something that prevents me from testing out my Java concurrent program on my Windows machine from the command line?

i think if u run the ap in the command line then it has to stay open, you could try writing a .bat file then when that is executed it will only open the command line for the program execution (i think)

Server for NFS was unable to validate licensing information at this time, the server will be nonfunctional until this information can be validated
NFS server is so weak (especially for 2008 R2) and keeping in mind you run that all hosted by VMware ESXi the best thing you can do is to get rid of using Windows as a NFS server completely and spawn a FreeBSD or Linux VM with a decent and recent version
    of Samba.
StarWind VSAN [Virtual SAN] clusters Hyper-V without SAS, Fibre Channel, SMB 3.0 or iSCSI, uses Ethernet to mirror internally mounted SATA disks between hosts.

    Hello,
There is a workaround posted for this error on the following threads:

  • How to use sqlplus with utf8 on windows command line

I expected sqlplus to work interactively with the following settings:
    - Lucida Console font for command window
    - chcp 65001 (UTF8-Windows-Codepage)
    - set NLS_LANG=.AL32UTF8
    But it turned out that
    1) sqlplus apparently does not use WIN32-API function ReadConsoleW and WriteConsoleW (these wide char functions must be used instead of ReadFile and WriteFile for Console I/O)
    2) cmd silently ignores all .cmd and .bat files with codepage set to 65001.
I fear that such a problem regarding a minority of command line freaks has low priority for Oracle and for Microsoft, so I wrote two small filters in C.
rconsu8 passes keyboard input to stdout, using ReadConsoleW
wconsu8 passes stdin to console, using WriteConsoleW
both set the UTF8-codepage 65001 and restore the previous codepage at exit.
    Anybody interested?
(Yes, I know that I could use sqldeveloper.)
    Sample session:
    C:\>set NLS_LANG=.AL32UTF8
    C:\>rconsu8 | sqlplus scott/tiger@DBUTF8 | wconsu8
    SQL> select '€' from dual;
    '€'

    SQL> select * from test_cyrillic;
    NAME
    Йозеф
    Euro €

    Console Output
works for characters covered by Lucida Console font if the first character in a line is ASCII (code < 128, e.g. blank)
    CHCP 65001
    sqlplus
    SQL> select ' ', unistr('Josef \0419\043E\0437\0435\0444') from dual;
    Josef Йозеф
    SQL> select ' ',unistr('Euro \20AC') from dual;
    Euro €
Sven, windows is able to render the output (as covered by Lucida Console), but there is a quirk in MSVCRTxx (C Runtime-Lib), function fwrite(). The first byte in a line is passed separately to an isolated single write() call, which causes conversion of an utf8 sequence to fail.
    Console Input
For non-ascii characters (code >= 128), ReadConsoleW must be called, e.g. through a simple filter converting UTF-16 stdin to UTF-8 stdout.

  • Command line error on Windows server 2008, GUI works

I'm running Windows Server 2008 with a Blackmagic Decklink card. Everything works fine with the GUI but when I try to start from command line it extis with an error (see attached image).
Note: I have the desktop experience enabled.

I came across the identical problem with an Osprey card. I did some digging and for some reason, on Windows Server 2008, the "Desktop Experience" must be enabled for the command line version of FMLE to function. Not sure why this is, but it worked for me. Here's the note from Microsoft on how to enable this feature on your server...
