Command Show biggest packages

Hello! I used ubuntu a while ago, and there was a command to show the packages in order of size. below is that command but limits it to show only the top 10 biggest packages.
dpkg-query --show --showformat='${Package;-50}\t${Installed-Size}\n' | sort -k 2 -n | grep -v deinstall | awk '{printf "%.3f MB \t %s\n", $2/(1024), $1}'
I have no idea how to search for that command on the forums...
Anyway, could someone kindly explain how I could use a command like this (hopefully simpler ) on Arch?

I just use ducks !!
The command is
du -cks * | sort -rn | head -11
I have also created an alias called ducks for the above...and everytime I type in ducks...it shows me the hogs within that folder. Most times I am only concerned with the files in the home directory. The files in the other partitions (/ and or var) are most likely needed or I can clean var with pacman -Sc

I am writing a report in oracle 6i report builder and query builder.
    My report result is below:
    ITEM# DATE SEQUENCE#
    item1 10/19/04 12000
    item1 10/19/04 12001
    item1 10/19/04 12002
    item2 10/19/04 11999
    item3 10/19/04 11998
What I want to do is: using PL/SQL Editor in report builder, if i get same item#, the result only shows the item# that has biggest sequence#, it shoul look like below:
    ITEM# DATE SEQUENCE#
    item1 10/19/04 12002
    item2 10/19/04 11999
    item3 10/19/04 11998
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    J

    Dude
STOP cross-posting. I answered your question already 2x.
    Show Biggest Sequence Number
As I stated, this is not a report builder problem, its a simple SQL problem that can be solved by using the max function. I doubt you actually ran the query I provided, or else you would have the results you were looking for!

  • Change in privilege level for the command show logging

I have recently discovered a change in behavior in IOS. The command show logging has traditionally been available at user level. Now it has become a privilege level 15 command.
I thought that this was strange and opened a case with Cisco TAC about it. I was told that this is a new "feature" that was implemented for bugid CSCsl61281. Unfortunately this bugid is viewable by Cisco internally but not viewable by the public.
The TAC engineer tells me that this change is integrated into these releases:
This was integrated into the following releases:
    12.4(24.05.01)PIX11
    12.4(21.14.09)PIC01
    12.4(19.03)T
    12.2(52.23)SIN
    12.2(33)SXI01
    12.2(32.08.11)SX229
    12.2(32.08.11)SR174
I do not think that this is a good change. If you do not think that this is a good change I suggest that you contact your Cisco support team and express your opinion about this change.
Otherwise as you go to new versions of IOS be aware of the potential impact on your network monitoring processes and procedures that show logging will require level 15 privilege access.

    Hi Rick,
Can you suggest me references to know more about privilege level commands?
How to enable different commands for different levels of privileges?
    Thanks.

  • Snmp oids for the command "show counters interface intx/y delta"

    Hello,
I have a question about SNMP OIDs for the command "show counters interface intx/y delta" on Catalyst6500. The customer wants to create graphs for the following values:Overruns, qos0Outlost, InErrors, OutErrors, InDiscards, OutDiscards etc..
Is possible to get these values using SNMP??
    Thank you
    Roman

Thank you, Dan. These OIDs are for the output from the command "show interface int x/y". But I think, that these OIDs are not for the command "show interface int x/y delta".

  • [SOLVED] yaourt shows new packages, pacaur says "nothing to do"

Because of https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1455060, I decided to try pacaur.
"pacaur -Syyua" says nothing to do, while "yaourt -Syyua" shows three packages.
Is there anything special I need to do to migrate from yaourt?

Awebb wrote:What does pacman say about pending updates? Are there any AUR packages that need an update? One of them lies, now you need to find out which one. If you don't know how to find that out, maybe you should not use a helper or use a low level helper like cower for a while.
All three (pacman, pacaur and yaourt) shows these three packages as outdated.
I found the reason though. I assumed "pacaur -Sua" would update *both* core and AUR packages, but it seems they are not combined like they're in yaourt.
The documentation for pacaur states that "a" would use *only* AUR though, so perhaps "pacaur -Su" would update both? I guess I'll soon find out.

  • How to place multiple commands using lcdui package?

I want to place multiple commands using lcdui package. I find that if I use more than 3 it becomes a menu item. How to circumvent this?
    With regards,
    Amin

i dont think you would be able to do this because of the screen size and also because all the cell phones only provide back, exit & menu buttons to program.so thats why you need to place the commands in the screen if the number of options are more.

  • Catalyst 3550 & 3560/3750 command 'show mls qos interface statistics'

On the Catalyst 3550 the command 'show mls qos interface statistics' will show ingress packet (or byte) counts with DSCP values. If you have policers configured then it also shows a count of packets that have been marked down to another DSCP value due to policing or any that have been dropped (obviously 'mls qos monitor dscp x' needs configuring). The same command on the 3560/3750 only shows the ingress & egress DSCP values, there is no column that shows packets (or bytes) that have been policed or dropped. Is there any command to display the same information with the 3560/3750?
Neither platform show counters when the command 'show policy-map interface x/x' is used so this won't work.
    Thanks
    Andy

Hi, I believe there is a command on the 3560 'sh mls qos interface policers' may be what you are looking for.
Here is what the command says it outputs:
To display QoS information at the interface level. This information includes:
The configuration of the egress queues and the CoS3-to-egress-queue map
    Which interfaces have configured policers
Ingress and egress statistics, which includes the number of bytes that have been dropped

  • Sccli command shows partition size as 0MB

    I have configured 3510 with 12x142GB disks, 2 global spare, RAID10 connected to 2 SunFire v1280 servers.

Why is this behaviour? Any ideas?

Found the problem. The Firmware on 3510 was 4.21F but the CLI was 1.5.2. After installing 2.2 version of CLI this issue was fixed.

  • Ps -ef command shows uidnumber instead of uid

Hi, I configured pam to use Identity Server 6.0 in addition to the unix for login, session and account management. Every thing seems fine, exept one thing. The ps command is not working normally for the process owned by the user stored in the Identity server. It always shows the uidnumber of the user instead of the uid of the user. For instance, if I have a user with uid=testUser and uidnumber=8988, the ps -ef command will show something as
    0008988 10719 10713 0 14:30:30 pts/6 0:00 -csh
    instead of
    testUser 10719 10713 0 14:30:30 pts/6 0:00 -csh
    as in the normal case.
Could some experts give me some possible causes of the problem, configuration issues, code bugs, ...?
    Thanks in advance!

  • How to show classic package view in Acrobat 9?

In Acrobat 8, I had my package PDF with the left panel showing the PDF files, the middle panel showing the Pages panel, and the right panel showing the content of the page itself. With a three panel view, I could quickly navigate between PDFs, select a Page, and see the content. This is why I liked packages so much.
How do you create this classic package view in Acrobat 9?
    Thank you for the feedback.

I am pretty sure the tool is still there. Adobe seems to enjoy moving the tools around, so try some of the other menus. If there is no forms menu there, try the advanced editing as the old location. It seems to have moved with every version.

  • When downloading a pdf, the print command show a document in the preview but only prints blank pages

When downloading a pdf and using the print command, it shows  the correct document in the preview but only prints blank pages.  If I use the save command and try to open with Acrobat 11.0.07, it says it wasn't correctly decoded and can't open it.  If I do the same thing on my old Macbook (10.6.8) all works fine from the same website with the same document.  Any ideas?

  • How do I make who and finger commands show hostnames?

Running a "who" or "finger" command does not show the hostname column on Solaris 9.
The odd part is that it works on other Solaris 9 systems except one. We need to be able to know the following:
    1) users currently logged in
    2) pseudo terminal number
    3) remote hostname when connecting via ssh
Can someone help me fix my odd workstation? I cannot find the config file nor the driver setting to change to resolve this issue.
    Thank you in advance.

No, only the genius icon is disabled because I still have these ping features available on some songs.

  • Can't find the ldif2ldbm command and SUNWconn package?

    Hi all,
I can not I find the ldif2ldbm command. It looks like the command is part of SUNWconn package.
    Any idea?
    Thanks,

The ldif2ldbm command was a utility for the old SIMS (Sun Internet Messaging System) software package. Are you currently running SIMS in your environment?
Are you using the Directory Server that came with Sol9? If yes, then use the ldif2dbm command that I mentioned earlier. Also, download and read the Sun/iplanet ONE/Java Directory Server Administration Guide at http://docs.sun.com/ . There's also a DS reference manual and LDAP migration guide, both are invaluable.

  • [SOLVED] pacman -Qdt shows required packages

I've used "pacman -Qdt" quite often but since yesterday it shows packages that it probably should not:
    autoconf2.13
    hal
    pm-utils
    pm-quirks
    hal-info
    dmidecode
    consolekit
    xorg-server-xvfb
    yasm
If I remove "orphans" like pm-utils or hal, I will only know that they weren't orphans. For example pm-utils was explicitly installed and without hal Xorg/xmonad won't start.
Can anyone explain to me what's going on here?
    Last edited by Markus00000 (2011-10-26 11:30:31)

Thanks, yet I have no idea why Xorg/xmonad won't start after removing these orphans and is instantly fixed by installing hal and its dependencies.
And also how pm-utils can be an orphan when I know that I installed it explicitly (pacman.log is with me here).
And also why hal etc. did not show up before with -Qdt.
