Commit not complete

Hi,
My program is written in ProC,which consists of several insert statement followed by commit.
But when i exit the application i am getting an error " COMMIT NOT COMPLETE ".
Need your suggestion very urgently.
Thanks,
Chitrasen

Judging from the lack of response, I think you need to post a little more information.
Are you sure all the inserts are successful? are you checking Oracle status after each one?
Are you sure that the commit is called? Is successful? Are the rows you inserted visible in the database (eg from SQL*Plus)?
How do you "exit the application"? Is there a chance that after your commit, something in the application initiates a new transaction?
Where does this "COMMIT NOT COMPLETE" message come from?
PS probably better to continue this post in the Call Interface forum which covers PRO* as well as OCI - see Oracle Call Interface (OCI)

    Hi,
obviously you try to drag and drop a component to a place where it breaks the document. Make sure the table is added to the JSP body. Have a look at the page sources for existing syntax problems - e.g. missing close elemenents or misplaced elements

    Because of the following :
Restrictions on Trigger Implementation The implementation of a trigger is subject to the following restrictions:
The PL/SQL block of a trigger cannot contain transaction control SQL statements (COMMIT, ROLLBACK, SAVEPOINT, and SET CONSTRAINT) if the block is executed within the same transaction. If you really want to do a commit then search for autonomous transaction.
    Hope that helps

  • Attempting to perform a switchover (DataGuard)- adautocfg.sh not completing

    Hi,
We are currently running EBS 11.5.10.2 on DB 10.2.0.4 and have a dataguard setup. This morning we were attempting a switchover (on a test dataguard system) using documentation from Metalink Note 216212.1. Upon reaching step 9 (Finish applications configuration on the middle tiers), adautocfg.sh is not completing successfully on the Admin node. Checks in the error log indicate that there's a connection problem with the database. We had a similar problem a couple months ago and logged a Metalink case, to which the solution was to run the following SQL command as the apps user:
    exec fnd_net_services.remove_system ('');
    commit;
We tried running this again followed by adautocfg.sh on both Admin and DB node but still end up with the same problem.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what we can try to fix this problem? Thanks.
    Lia.

hsawwan- Yes we did use that command. Actually in the Metalink note step 8 the instructions are to execute that command using the SID. We did that and then when we ran adautocfg.sh it was unsuccessful.
Here's the error log- I didn't post the whole thing due to its length.

    Hello,
It's happening on about 15% of our uploads to FCServer where we see the error, ""LDS (LDS did not complete request)". It's happening on both FCP project uploads and MOVs'.
    Thanks!

i've been getting the error while trying to write XML

  • Locating a batch that causes checkpoint is not complete

    Hello,
In our PRD system, each night at 23:2x, we have oracle alert checkpoint is not complete.
I am suspecting a background job that is generating lots of insert/update/delete with a very small commit interval.
I would like to find which job is causing that.
Which methodology do you use to locate that kind of jobs?
I have thought of using st03 with transaction profile and db access sort to locate these jobs.
But you may have a well define procedure to find that kind of job as you have encountered similar case.
If this is the case, could you explain how you proceed?
Thanks in advance for your answer.

    Hi,
Sorry, I think i overlooked the post in detail.
From the error logs posted, this seems to be a symptom of a high transactional activity.
You should check the size of your redo log files and the checkpoint parameter values?
Depending on the values, most probably, you are required to tune the checkpoint process and increase the size of the redo logs

  • Error:  "Could not complete your request because of a program error" (photoshop CS2 9.0.2 on MAC OSX

Today I started my program (photoshop CS2 9.0.2) and opened a JPG file. When I went to print the file the program crashed and closed. When I restarted the program and went to open the file I got this error message, "Could not complete your request because of a program error".
I have tried several different file types/sizes and all result in the same error message since the program crashed. It will not open any file I try to open. As I indicated above I am using Photoshop CS2 9.0.2 it is on a MAC with OSX 10.4.11.
I called Adobe and the Rep directed me to Tech Note 331307 and told me to Re-create the Photoshop preferences files. Which I did and restarted the program, but when I tried to open a file (any file) I still get the same error message so it doesn't appear to be the preferences.
Does anyone have any info as to what the problem may be and how to correct it.
    Thanks

Thanks for the response. OK... This is the first day I have been able to get back to the problem.
My system I am running Photoshop on is a Power Mac G4, AGP Graphics ATY Rage 128Pro chip set 16MB VRAM LCD 1280x1024 32-bit color, 500MHz, 1.75GB of memory, 1 MB L2 Cache, 100 MHz Bus Speed. I had installed the latest security update and repaired the permissions the day the problem started.
Now to day I started the system and went in and created a Guest Account. I logged into the guest account and started Photoshop. Low and behold it worked just fine. So I logged out of guest and logged into my main user account And started Photoshop. Wouldn't you know it.... It works just fine. I can open any file I want with now problems.
I got to thinking after I had done all of this that I wished I had tried to open a file in Photoshop today prior to creating the guest account to see if it still had the problem in my main user account.
I did not change anything else on the system and all seems to work fine now. So at his point I am really not sure what the problem was.
Again thanks for taking the time to respond to this issue.

  • When I plug in my iPhone to sync, it starts but does not complete the process and several pieces of data are not being transferred to my iPhone from my MacBook Air.

    Problem:
When I plug in my iPhone to sync, it starts but does not complete the process and several pieces of data are not being transferred to my iPhone from my MacBook Air.
Any help that you can provide in helping my iPhone accurately sync with iPhoto and iTunes will be greatly appreciated.
    Symptoms:
    1)   Sync:  It’s not completing the sync.  Below, I’ve provided all of my settings from the iTunes Summary tab so that you might tell me if I’ve selected any incorrect options.  I prefer to sync the “old school” way – by connecting to the computer – as opposed to syncing over the cloud. Perhaps this is what’s causing the problem? Here is a list of the steps displayed in the iTunes window as the sync progresses:
waiting for sync to start (step 1 of 7)
backing up (step 2 of 7)
preparing to sync (step 3 of 7)
determining apps to sync (step 4 of 7)
preparing apps to sync (step 5 of 7)
importing photos (step 6 of 7)
waiting for changes to be applied (step 7 of 7)
syncing apps / copying 1 of 4 (App name) (step 7 of 7)
    canceling sync
    apple icon
    2)   Photos: I've selected only certain of my iPhoto albums to sync to my iPhone.  All of the albums are correct/complete in iPhoto.  All of the albums are listed on my iPhone, both before and after the sync, but the albums are empty (no actual photos) before and after the sync. Perhaps this is tied to the fact that the sync isn’t completing, but because “importing photos” is one of the steps that the incomplete sync displays, I don’t know.
    3)   Apps: When I launch iTunes and click on the Apps folder under the Library listing, then click on the Updates tab, iTunes searches for any Apps needing to be updated and provides a list.  If I click on Update All, the Apps are successfully updated in iTunes.  But, when I plug in my iPhone so that the updates will transfer to the apps on my iPhone, the updates don’t transfer to the apps on my iPhone and those apps still reflect that they need updating on the iPhone.
    Other Potential Pertinent Info:
The flash memory hard drive on my MacBook Air recently died (perhaps a month or two ago).  Apple had emailed me about a known issue and literally the next day, my MacBook Air crashed.  I installed a new flash memory drive and re-installed everything from a backup off of an external hard drive.  Everything seems to be working fine; it recreated accurately all of my software and data, including iPhoto and iTunes, the pictures and songs (respectively) for which are stored on that hard drive, as opposed to being on the flash memory in the MacBook Air itself.  However, I don’t recall if the start of the sync problem described herein started happening at the same time that I replaced the flash memory drive.  All I know is that the computer is working perfectly in all respects and that even as the sync is failing, it at least says that it’s doing the right things and looking in the right places (e.g., the list of albums on my iPhone matches the list of albums in iTunes, etc.).
    Settings/Status:

    OSX v. 10.9
    iPhoto ’11 v. 9.5 (902.7)

You need to download iTunes on your computer. iOS 6 requires the latest version of iTunes which is 10.7.

  • My ipod touch is not list as a device on itunes.  When I tried do update itunes, I get a ox8007054f error code and the update will not complete.

My ipod touch is not listed as a device when connected to my computer.  As suggested I attempted to download the latest of itunes.  I got an
ox8007054f error code and the down load will not complete.  I have also tried to restore my computer to an earlier setting, but it will
    not accept the change.

Have you looked at this completed previos discussion. It discusses 0x8007054F.
Re: Error message when trying to install iTunes

  • Error message "could not complete the video frames to layers command because dynamiclink is not avai

So I decided to try my hand at making gifs and so I attempted to upload a video by going to file -> import -> video frames to layers. Before even letting my pick my video it comes up with an error message saying "could not complete the video frames to layers command because dynamiclink is not availible." I then tried file -> open -> and then selected the video and no matter what file type or size I chose I ended up with the same error message.
I looked this problem up and attempted some of the solutions but to no avail. I tried clearing my preferences and restarting photoshop many times in addition to restarting my computer. I also checked to make sure it wasn't being blocked by any firewalls and it wasn't. My opperating system is Windows 7 and I'm using photoshop cs6. I've looked everywhere for an answer to this problem so if anyone is able to help me solve this problem I'd be much obliged.

You see my C:\ drive is quite small as it's a SSD, so I made Adobe install programs on my E:\ drive too, however this was the main cause for Adobe not to function.
After adjusting the settings to install everything back to my C:\ drive, it fixed my issue above and allowed me to run the 64bit version.

  • HT201210 I tried to update my Iphone 4S & was sent an error message telling me to restore my phone & did so & now my phone is unable to be used because it will not complete the restoring process & is locked in this screen not letting me use it at all.

I was trying to update my software to on my phone and it would not let me do so sending me a message to restore my phone before I can complete an update so I did this but it would not complete the restore and was sent another message stating that my phone is already in recovery mode and a restore needs to be completed before I can update any software. I have tried this four times now and my phone screen is stuck with the Itunes symbol on it along with a picture of the plug. It will not let me eject or do absolutely anything. I cannot use my phone at all. I have even tried to shut it down and turn it back on which still did not help.

and error code or the exact msg would help

  • Photoshop cs6 error "Could not complete command because there is not enough memory (RAM)"

Hi, I have a Macbook Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite 6, and all of my other adobe programs run smoothy with the exception of photoshop. For about the past year and a half now, I will very inconsistency receive the error message, "Could not complete ___ command because there is not enough memory (RAM)."  Sometimes this problem gets so bad that I am not even able to open my preferences.
My computer seems as though it should have plenty of space to run photoshop, and I have taken my computer to a number of differed tech supports, but they have only been able to temporarily make the problem less severe for short periods until it acts up again and completely prevents me from using Photoshop. I recently updated to Yosemite and deinstalled/reinstalled photoshop, hoping that would fix things, but I still get the message almost any time I try to complete a command.
Your help would be very much appreciated, thank you!

3.5Mhz?  Do they even make processors that slow?
I'm trying to think back through Photoshop versions, but IIRC it became hungry for RAM with CS5, but it might even have been CS4.  But certainly from CS5 onwards a 32 bit system was going to be severely compromised with its 3.5Gb RAM limit, of which Photoshop could access only a bit over 2Gb.  You might remember the 4Gb switch that let you use a bit more of your 4Gb of installed RAM.  That worked OK with XP but was still flakey, and third party plugins used to fall over all the time through lack of RAM — at least Photoshop has a Scratch drive.
So nowadays you can forget trying to use Photoshop on 32bit hardware.  You need 64 bit and at least 8Gb RAM.  So like I said, the OP needs to look deeper into the 'apparent' over heating issue, and put that other 4Gb back in.  I can't even conceive of why a person would cripple their system by removing RAM. _Especially_ when it leaves just 4Gb
