Committment quantity.

Hi Experts,
In what all scenarios we will have a case where the committed qty = withdrawn qty = requirement qty in production order ?
Does Collective availability check done via t code COMAC updates the commitment qty when the qty is goods issue ?
I have an interesting scenario where in there are 2 components in a prodcution order with requirement qty as 20 and 40.
Both the qty has committed qty as 20 and 40.  Then both are goods issued to the order.  Later COMAC is run for the order. Now in the display of production order I see  for component with qty 20, the req qty = commit qty = withdraw. For the other component the req qty = 40,  commit = 0 and with draw = 40.
Why same set of components are treated differently in a production order availability check ? Is this std functionality ?

Dear ,
When you are sssign the availability check in the material master-MRP3 view  , it does a cumuliative stock availalabity check as per the OPJJ and OVZ2 set up in back ground .
Material availabilty checks will be carried out dynamically with respect to the material requirements dates and the receipts and stocks availabe on the required dates. If the stocks and firmed receipts are availabe on the required dates then these wil be reserved...otherwise systems will shows shoratge for this quantity. This checks will be carried out on the first in-first out basis for all orders.
Once you have  released the Production Order  and now you check the availability for the production orders the availabile stocks are reservred for the production order as COMITTED quantity which you can see in the component overview screen.
System displays Committed  till the time it is actually issued to the Production order
If you try to check another production order same time ,  it will take the remainning stock which are not comitted for availability .
I hope in your second case (40 QTY ) , there was no confirmed stock avaialble like for 20 , so it was not showing as comitted stock agaist the 40 pcs.
Hope it clarifies .

  • Comitted Quantity in Process Order

    Hi PP Gurus,
I have two process orders. Both have been confirmed by T. Code: CORK and delivered in Status.
In one process Order:  At Dates/ Quantities Tab-- Comitted Qty is shown as process order Quantity.
But in another process order: Comitted Quantity is not shown.
can anyone give feedback on why it is so and what is the significance of comitted quantity?
    Thanks in advance.
    Pradeep

    Dear pradeep...
the committment quantity mentioned in Dates/quantities tab depends upon ATP check.
Mr sampath has said it correctly, there must not be any components available while creation of order.
Stock is not available thats why System is not showing the commited quantity.
So first maintain the stocks for all the components
    Cheers...

  • How to get committed date for each component after availability check

    Hi,
When I use CO02 to check material availability, I can see committed date in missing part list and missing part overview for each component in production order. I save it and use CO03 to read missing part list again. The committed date is blank?! How to get the committed date for each missing part in production order?
Another question, committed date can be displayed in CO24(missing parts info system)? Thanks in advance!!

    Rita,
Please check that the PP avail. check has replensh lead time turned on. If RLT is turned off & there is no sufficient stock of material, then system can only committ date of 12/31/9999.
Once you turn on RLT, it will give you some date based on your configured avail check ( that looks at stock or purchase order or production order). That way if there is no sufficient stock of material to satisfy your order system will committ the worst case date which is the RLT.
On CO24 unfortunately there is no field for Committ date. Hence is it not possible to view commit date. You can only view Committ quantity.
i am sure this will help you. Else please come back.
    thanks,
    Ram

  • Quantity fields not getting displayed in the second total row

    Hi,
As per the requirement I have to display 2 total rows for an ALV report using CL_GUI_ALV_GRID. I am able to get the first total row properly using method get_subtotal(). However for the next total row only the character fields are getting displayed and the quantity fields are coming blank.
The second total row will have different values based on a formula.
Please help me out in resolving the issue.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

You can provide first row as the SUBTOTAL and next row as the TOTAL.
Get one extra column on which you can do the SUBTOTAL.

  • Open sale order quantity in VA05

    hi all,
can anyone please tell me the function module or bapi or Table to find out open sales order quantity coming in VA05.
    regards.

First of all define what is open , is it created but notdelivered , or delivered but not invoiced.
The table VBUP has flags for statuses eg
    A     Not yet processed
    B     Partially processed
    C     Completely processed
A for open , B for partial C for complete , so by checking this table you will find which are actually delivered or invoiced completely.
Tcode V.02 gives u this option.

  • Open Order Quantity for open sales orders

Is there a standard SAP Report that gives the open order quantity for every open sales order.   "Open" is defined as any order quantity that has not shipped.  Delivery creation is not the same as shipment.   VA05 Report does not contain enough information to calculate the open order quantity for an ERP-based backlog report.

Try VA05 schedule lines standar variant...include status fields and both ordered qty and confirmed qty. In SAP standard system order status, status A means open orders fully (Nothing shipped, everything opened). Status B means in process orders (Partially processed - shipped). Status C means complete orders (Nothing opened). As there is no delivered qty in VA05,  you need to download to excel the file and calculate the difference between both qty fields for each A and B status. That is a way to get the missing qty to be delivered or open qty as you stated.
    Hope it helps.

  • Delivery Completed Indicator  - Open PO Quantity Issue

    Hi All,
I have an issue relating to our Open Purchase Order Report.  I have some POs which are appearing on the report eventhough they are marked, 'Delivery Complete' ie NOT open. The example of a PO is where the PO Quantity is 100 and the Goods Receipt is 99.  The user knows that there will be no further deliveries and therefore marks the PO 'Delivery Complete'
In the Extractor to BI we have extracted this field ELIKZ 'Delivery Completed Indicator'.  The structure of our datamodel is
PSA -> DSO (Write Optimised DSO) -> Cube
    We calculate the Open PO Qty by taking 'PO Qty' minus 'Goods Receipt Quantity' I have checked the example PO in the cube & DSO.  I can see that for the infoobject 'Delivery Complete Indicator' that it has been marked 'X' but only on the records relating to the Goods Receipt for this PO.  The original PO record is added to the cube eg on 1st Jan and then the Goods Receipt record, including the delivery complete indicator is added to the cube on 31st Jan, but the original record is not updated by this indicator.  Therefore at the moment I cannot use this to filter out records in my query.  See below how it looks in the Cube;
Created Date - PO No - PO Line - Del Complete Indicator - PO QTy - Goods Receipt Qty
    01.01.2011       123      10             (Blank)                             100
    31.01.2011       123      10                 X                                                         99
What should I do?  How have you created this report?
Just to let you know I have already read the post Delivery Completed Indicator(ELIKZ:0COMPL_DEL) in 2LIS_02_SCL
    Many thanks for your help,
    Michelle

    Hi Kalyan,
Thanks very much for your message,
In my case if the Order Qty is not equal to receipted this does not always mean that it is open.  Sometimes the receipted quantity can be over or under (not equal) and the PO can be closed.  What do you mean by confirmed quanity?  Also, this is a Purchase Order report not a Sales report.
    You have said...
"Then I would suggest to still keep the condition on the Net ord qty and Net confirmed qty and exclude the del compl indicator as X and also the status as open "
I don't understand how this will work.  My issue is that the indicator is not on all the records of a PO only the receipted records.
    Can you help again please?
    Many thanks
    Michelle

  • Open PO Quantity

    Hi
From the business content, in the update rule: 2LIS_02_SCL -> 0PUR_DS03. there is a routine for the PO open quantity 0BO_QTY as follows:
    RESULT = COMM_STRUCTURE-cpquaou * COMM_STRUCTURE-numerator /
               COMM_STRUCTURE-denomintr.
cpquaou is mapped to BWMNG which is the PO quantity "not the OPEN PO quantity".
    1. So how come this routine calculates the open quantity?
    2. I have to report parital open quantity as soon we have confirmed quantities, so I am trying to use 2LIS_02_SCN as a datasource and map it to 0PUR_DS03. Then I will map 0OPNQTY -> 0BO_QTY. Is my logic valid??
    3. To resolve the first issue I am thinking to enhance my datasource 2LIS_02_SCL with two fields:
       - MENGE (Scheduled Qty.)
       - WEMNG (GR Qty.)
then i will change the update rule routine as: Open Qty. = MENGE - WEMNG.
Do you think that approach is ok?
    Thanks in Advance
Edited by: Omar on Apr 7, 2010 10:43 AM

    Hi,
    The DSO 0PUR_DS03 is loaded from 2LIS_02_SCL & 2LIS_02_SGR .
Open qty is updated both from SCL & SGR.
In SCL it is calculated in datasource level..
In SGR it is calculated in datasource as difference between the schedule line quantity (SCLQTY) and the total quantity (TTLQTY).
    SCLQTY u2013 TTLQTY
The loading sequence is SCl then SGR.
    1. So how come this routine calculates the open quantity? - it is calculated in datasource level..
    2. I have to report parital open quantity as soon we have confirmed quantities, so I am trying to use 2LIS_02_SCN as a datasource and map it to 0PUR_DS03. Then I will map 0OPNQTY -> 0BO_QTY. Is my logic valid??
Partially open Qty is Confirmed Qty - EKES -MENGE.
No need to enhance can be updated from SGR - SCLQTY u2013 TTLQTY.

  • How to calculate the OPEN QUANTITY in delivery Duelist Report

    Hi Everybody,
I have a query for finding out the OPEN QUANTITY for schedulines for a delivery.
If for example the report is run for 2nd of February, it is necessary to
determine whether there are delivery relevant schedule lines before the
    2nd.
If yes, we need to know whether there is an open quantity to this line
    item.
If yes, this open quantity is a negative deviation (we delivered not
    enough).
If there is no open quantity it is necessary to determine whether for the
earliest future to be deleviered schedule line, the open quantity equals
    the ordered quantity (VBEP-WMENG),
if No the the difference between both values equals the positive deviation
    (we delivered more than requested)
If the open quantity equals the ordered quantity there is no deviation.
The problem is to calculate the open quantity and the SAP standard there is function
builder used in SAP standard include MV45AF0O_OFFENE_WERTE_ERMITTEL, the
function builder is called RV_SCHEDULE_CHECK_DELIVERIES'. But how could we use in this formulae in a Custom delivery report.
    Looking for your helpful suggestions.

  • A/P Credit Memo (Item Type) not to deduct quantity in inventory

    Hi,
    1. I purchased an item > supplier gave me invoice> I key in A/P Invoice (Item Type)
    2. Found out item was overpriced
    3. Supplier gave me Credit Note to adjust the price
How do I key in this credit note via A/P Credit Memo? To my understanding if I key in the a/p credit memo (item type), my inventory quantity will be deducted as well.

Because the item is over priced, it means that my inventory gl is over stated. When I get the supplier's CN, I will have to reduce the inventory gl. When I create a Service Type A/P Credit Memo I must choose inventory gl. But this will create another problem - Inventory Audit Report balance will not tally with Inventory gl balance (because i didn't reduce the item price in the first place). To solve this is to do a Inventory Revaluation.
Hi Lay Chin, what you suggested is the best option so far.
Thank you everyone for the reply.

    1. in free goods/ sales promotion scenario business offerd some free of cost materials to customer (free goods exclusion procedure) in this scenario business wants to prepare a report free goods quantity against actaul sales quantity.
    Thanks,

    Hello,
Item Category in Sales Documents for Normal Goods & Free Goods is different.
Thus with help of ABAPer you can develop a Z-Report which can fetch the required data based on Item Category of Sales Documents.
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks,
