Communication Channel information in abap tables

Hi ,
Could you let me know any abap table which contains information about communication channels in PI 7.0.
I have checked the following link
Re: XI--Table for communication channels
But the table SMPREL3 is not active in our data dictionary. is there any other table which stores this information.
My requirement is to get the list of all channels which have quality of service as EOIO in the processing tab of the comm channel.
Let me know if there are any other ways of checking this.

Hi,
Some tables in following blog:
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs;jsessionid=(J2EE3417800)ID0366444450DB00849302769976173098End?blog=/pub/wlg/2754

  • Communication channel - standard t-code/table

    Hi,
    Need some help...
Is there any standard t-code by which we can start/stop/automate mass communication channel at a time ?
    or
Any t-code by which we can start/stop/automate single communication channel ?
    (I mean w/o going to moni_ifr -> rwb -> ...etc)
Also want master table in which communication channel and its status (like start/stop/auto/any ATP)is stored ( I did not find this info in SMPREL3/SMPPMAP3)
Note : I checked que/ans already posted and also checked "/people/gourav.khare2/blog/2007/12/12/interesting-abap-tables-in-xi-150-part-i link but did not found relevent info.
    Thanks.
    Ramiz...

    Thanks Ibrahim/Abhishek/volker
    My problem is :
we have frequent maintenance activity for our production system. and all the time we need to stop/start all cc to avoid any message failure during this maintenance. Manual stop/start from RWB requires lots of time. we have approx 100 cc(and increasing...) and all need to stop before maintenance and start after maintenance complete.
I want any standard t-code that can do this... and if not any standard then want make something in abap that can do this and we can avoid such a time consuming process.
    As per the replies :
    1)manual as mentioned above
-> this requires lots of time every time maintenance activities happens.
    2) as mentioned by abhishek thru external controlling
-> I need to look into this but Its one cc at a time
    3) And availability planning by selecting the option to control it automatically
-> we are using this functionality but during our maintenance activity this will not be useful as maintenance activity happens anytime/any day.
    As per the Volker,
    Hi Ramiz!
Because almost all communication channels are part of the Java Adapter Engine you will not find a table in ABAP stack and you will also not find a transaction to control them.
But - like already mentioned by others in this thread - you can build your own tool to do this job.
    Regards,
    Volker
There is no abap table that stores CC...so I need to build my own tool to do this job...
But donu2019t have exact idea what/how to build !
Plz. let me know if you find anything related to this...
    Thanks a lot for help.
    Thanks.

  • Error ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel in droppping  a table

    Good evening,
I am very new on Oracle and I have a problem with some tables. Without any reason, apparently, I can't drop some of my table. Oracle gives me this error:
    ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

What I should have to do?

  • Editing Communication Channel Attributes

    Hi All,
    I have the following scenario.
I would like to have dynamic Source/Target directories in Dev / QA / Prod using a combination of a variable(from a Z-table), System ID and Connection party
e.g Source File Directory would be   "/INTERFACES/PRD/3RDPARTY" in Prod but  "/INTERFACES/DEV/3RDPARTY" in Development
I understand I can manipulate the Integration Builder API to update these field but I want to do it using an ABAP proxy/RFC. i.e code in ABAP not java. Can somebody point me in the right direction or some sample code that I can have a look at.
I have seen this done before on a previous project but I did no manage to obtain any source code to look through or the steps invovled.
    Any help would be appreciated

    Hi Raghu,
I have to disagree with you as I have seen it with my own eyes. On a previous project we executed ABAP programs which called Webservices with changed Source File directories on communication channels based on Z-table configuration in the respective systems. The problem is I cannot contact the programmer and am no longer at the client site to look at the code. I would like anyone who has experience in this to assist me or to possible where to start.
    Cheers

  • RFC , IDoc , XI and JDBC receiver communication channel--- Good Design

    Hi Experts,
We have developed around 60+ interfaces on PI7.1 EHP1, in that 20 interfaces sending data to Data Base using JDBC receiver communication channel, 15 interfaces ABAP inbound proxy using XI adapter,10 Scenarios using IDoc receiver channel and 15 scenarios using RFC receiver channel.
But I have created only one IDoc, XI , JDBC and RFC channel.
Is it right idea/design or do I need to create more channels to handle multiple request.
Please share your thoughts on this.
    Regards,
    JAM

    Hi,
For XI,RFC and Idoc when it's pointing to one SAP system you don't need any further comm channels.
For JDBC , if you are pointing to only one database you can use the same channel, if the target/databse changes you need more comm channels.
Your Design is as per the standards.

    Sainath Chutke

    Dear Experts,
We had a recent installation of Xi and after that i m attemting a Soap to rfc syn scenario and i have created both the soap and rfc communication channel on a abap business system.
and now im not able to see the Soap communication channel in the RWB .even the soap icon is shown as disable..
can u tell the reason for this.Or is it bcos i have not sent any soap request to it.

  • XI--Table for communication channels

    Hello Gurus,
In which Table does Communication Channels stored?
Can anyone explain the Few tables Related to XI.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ravi.

    Hi
SMPREL3 abap table contains comm channel info
SMPPREL3: this table contains information about interfaces; here you can find information on sender (party, service, interface and namespace) and receiver (party, service, interface and namespace) as well as information on maps (their GUID and name as well as namespace).
SXMSPFRAWH: this table contains runtime performance data for successful message and sender and receiver information is stored as address id that derive information from SXMSPFADDRESS, from this table you can find out volume and latency also.

  • Sender Abap Proxy -- Receiver JDBC , catch communication channel exceptions

    Hi All,
I have a sender abap proxy and a receiver jdbc asynchronous interface.
Now under some circumstances when I send some junk data for an update query(which satisfies metadata requirement but wrong primary key) it shows chequered flag in both XI and r/3.
But in communication channel it shows error.
    Queries:
    1. How do I handle this.
    2. Since this is triggered from Abap wht will be subrc when method ends in this particular case.
    3. Is there any possibility of program goin into dump?
    Regards,
    Prem

You can catch the exception in cx_ai_system_fault.

  • Standard table that stores communication channel parameters

    Hi All,
Can you tell me if there is a standard table that stores the parameters of communication channel?
For example, Which table has the value of "Quality of Service" in "Processing Parameters"?
    Regards,
    Nisha

Can you tell me if there is a standard table that stores the parameters of communication channel?
not aware of a standard table....each communication has its own QOS.....you can check it in the log in SXMB_MONI....opne the particular message processing and look in the upper window (Window 1) where all the details are mentioned.

  • Convrtd to Invterval Part- ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

    Hi all,
I had a table as Interval Partitioned. In order to create XML- Xpath indexes on it, I converted it to Range Partitioned table.
I am able to create the XPATH indexes but I get the error: ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
    - When I revert the code to Interval Partitioned without the XMLIndex, it works fine(although takes time as no XML Index)
    - When I convert table to non partitioned table, create the XML Index, it works fine.
But I need the partitons, so when I create the partitioned table I get the error.

Now if I execute the following statement in

    - Is there any other way of writing this Select statement, which may work?
    - Any other thing I need to take care of when defining the table and partitions script so that I don't get this error?

    Hi,
I think it's time you give a clear (and working) test case so that we can safely try to reproduce the issue.
What you've given so far has syntax error and name mismatch.
    So please :
    - database version (SELECT * FROM v$version)
    - complete sequence of DLLs
    - some sample XML documents (it doesn't have to be the real ones, but at least something realistic)
    Thanks in advance.
    declare namespace abc="ABCD";
    declare namespacedef="DEFG";
    declare namespace xyz="XYZA";
    let $tt as xs:boolean := fn:exists($p/main/id = ("144283","9085802")])
    return if ($tt) then true()
else ()'Why all that stuff? You don't have to return a boolean.

If so, you can use a simple function-based index instead of the XMLIndex :
    SQL> drop index int_part_table_uix;
    Index dropped.
    SQL> create index int_part_table_ix1 on int_part_table (

    Index created.
    SQL> SELECT xml_message

  • Dynamic user credentials for XI receiver communication channel

    Hi Experts,
I am working on File(XML ) to ABAP  proxy scenario. I want to know if I get the user-id and password information to login to R/3 system as part of the XML  payload, can I use this information to connect to R/3 system in my XI Receiver communication channel?
Using a generic user credentials either in RFC destination or specifying it in communication channel configuration will not work. This is because the requirement is that the objects that will be created in inbound ABAP  proxy (for ex Material Master) should be created with the user information that is coming from payload rather than a generic user.
Any pointers how to acheive this?
    Thanks and regards,
    Prasad

  • SMTP Receiver Communication Channel error: connection refused

    Dear all.
When migrating processes from XI 3.0 to PI 7.1 we run into the problem that we can't get the SMTP Receiver Communication Channel working on PI. We get the following error in Communication Channel Monitoring:
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.sdk.xi.srt.BubbleException: Failed to call the endpoint  [null "null"]; nested exception caused by: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect
(The NetWeaver Administrator log shows the following:
unable to call the mailer: com.sap.aii.af.sdk.xi.srt.BubbleException: Failed to call the endpoint  [null "null"]; nested exception caused by: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect)
    - We copied all configuration settings 1-on-1 from XI to PI, and double-checked we made no mistakes.
    - We confirmed the PI system can in fact reach the mailserver by successfully sending Email from the ABAP stack of the PI system (transactions SOST and SCOT)
    - When deliberately mistyping the mailserver URL, we get the error: java.net.UnknownHostException. This makes me believe that the 'connection refused' error we get (after re-entering the correct mailserver URL) is indeed coming from the mailserver. But why would it refuse the connection if it allows the connection from the ABAP stack of the same server? And why didn't we run into any such problems on XI?
    Any help is much appreciated!
    Kind regards,
    Eddy Driessen.

  • Communication Channel in error

Communication Channel in error though the error has been resovled. New files are processed succesfully !!!
    CC still in RED.
I tried the basic steps which can change the status .( by deactivating the channel and activating the same , stopped and started the same ) . It resulted the same.
    Thanks,
    Karthik

The information that is displayed for the status of a channel on the individual cluster nodes is status information that is accumulated to give the overall status of the channel in the table of communication channels.
If the cluster nodes have at least one status that is above all other statuses in the status hierarchy, the channel receives this status as the overall status. The possible statuses correspond to those in the table of communication channels and have the following hierarchy:  (red),  (yellow),  (green), and  (gray). A combination of green or yellow with gray is not possible.
    ○       The information displayed for the processing entries of the selected cluster node is current runtime information on message processing. You get to Message Monitoring by selecting the message ID displayed.
Depending on the adapter used, the type and occurrence of the information here can differ. The information forms the entry in the Processing Errors column in the table of communication channels. The newest result is taken from the table of the cluster nodes.
    ○       The information about channel administration displays when and by whom a channel was previously started or stopped. You can only start or stop a communication channel for an entire server cluster, not on individual cluster nodes. However, since errors can occur on individual cluster nodes during the execution of these actions, error information is also displayed for each cluster node.
    ○       If the channel is controlled by availability times, the Availability Times tab page is displayed. All other availability times that are relevant for this channel are also displayed. You can exclude specific availability times and, if necessary, reschedule them.
Since only active availability times are displayed, it is possible that availability times do exist for the selected communication channel even if none are displayed.
    ○       The information on the Settings tab page displays how often an attempt is made to send messages to this channel, and at what time intervals.
The default settings are taken from the outbound properties for the J2EE service SAP XI Adapter: XI. You can overwrite and save these values. You can also restore overwritten values.
Information about changes made to the settings is always displayed.
The Settings tab page is only relevant for receiver channels and is therefore only displayed for channels of this type.

  • Deriving file path in communication channel depending on environment

    We have received this request:
    ======begin request======
As you know transporting communication channels is a tedious affair
that consists of exporting and importing objects, manual steps to
modify the communication channel for the target system and then
activation. The process of manual modification of the communication
channel after it has been transported is particularly subject to human
    error.
Could you please investigate using dynamic/logical names for such
    things as:
    Directory names
    Filenames
Any thing else that can be derived dynamically, or set logically.
    ======end request======
An example would be a directory path in a file adapter:
    in dev: <drive>/dev
    in prod: <drive>/prd
We don't want to reconfigure the channel on transport. Value mapping
is not an alternative as we would have to maintain a table anyway and
use a custom function to derive. Dynamic Configuration in a map
requires a custom function and lack of flexibility. Adapter Specific
    Message Attributes don't really help.
Is there some way environment variables can be accessed and configured in a communication channel?

    Hey Dave,
reconfiguring Adapters after Integration Directory objects transport is a necessary step, since the addresses/ports of production environments will almost always be different.
Nevertheless, you will need to manually reinsert the path information in Prod File adapter, and there you could use "prod" instead of "dev".
A possible workaround to make it a little more "automatic" would be to refer to the Business System name in the File path, using variable substitution. In this case, for example, use the variable "dir" in the variable substitution table, refering to the property "message:receiver_service" (without quotes), and in the path field, use something like "/%dir/" (also, without quotes).
    Regards,
    Henrique.

  • IDoc adapters not in "communication channel monitoring"?

    Hi,
I've modified some information that the receiver IDoc adapter is using (the logical system ID). But after I refreshed all the caches the change is not updated when I send an IDoc to R/3.
When this kind of problem happens with RFC adapter you just have to stop and restart the communication channel in communication channel monitoring. But IDoc adapter is not here... so, how can I restart the IDoc communication channel?

    Hi,
IDoc adapter doesnt reside on Adapter Engine, its part of ABAP stack, because of this you cannt find it in RWB-Communication channel monitoring...
    Try refreshing the cache:
    Transaction: sxi_cache
CPACache refresh using the below url:
    http://<server:port>/CPACache/refresh?mode = full
    to get the changes affected.

    Sreenivas.
