¿Cómo borrar emails de Openmailbox (Pop3) en Ubuntu?

A ver si me podéis ayudar, porque me estoy empezando a volver (un poco más) loco.
Me he creado una cuenta con Openmailbox, y es un servicio que me agrada mucho, el problema es que cuando quiero borrar un email, sigue apareciendo en mi bandeja de entrada, tengo que picar en el mensaje con el botón derecho y seleccionar "mover de nuevo a la papelera".
Esto no me ocurre con mis otras cuentas -Gmail y Hotmail- y no sé donde puede estar el error, todas las tengo configuradas como POP3.

Why don't you try rebooting the phone by holding both the home and power buttons until the apple logo appears and then let go. Wait for phone to restart and then try and delete an email message by swiping from left to right on the email in the inbox that you want to delete. The word "delete" should appear and tap on that or when you are looking in at the listmofmemails in the inbox tap on the edit button and then tap on the circle to the left of the email you want gone and then tap on delete at the bottom of the screen

This started about 3 days ago. I could manually push email through in the last few days but can no longer. I have deleted the account and re-entered the settings but I get a message that I cannot connect to the server.

My email server is pop3, but Apple's Mail Settings Lookup is showing it as an IMAP. Any ideas how to get Apple showing the correct details?

Leave feedback for Apple at www.apple.com/feedback, or contact your email provider. It's the email providers that give that info to Apple, so both parties need to be updated.

How can I read a email from a POP3-Server?

I want to read emails from a POP3-Server. Also attached files.
I use LabVIEW 7.0 and the Internet toolkit.

- first go to Help >> Seach examples... and search for pop mail, no doubt you'll find somtehing.
- then have a look at that thread, there are some informations you might want to know before coding

I am trying to configure SAP Inbound email in CRM 6.0 and would like to know if I can use IMAP, POP3 or MAPI instead of SMTP due to our company's legal policies and maintenance purposes.
If there is a way, please let me know how to?
I have checked other options but none of them talk about IMAP, POP3 or MAPI

As far as I am aware, SMTP is now the only supported option for configuring inbound emails through the SAPConnect interface into the Interaction Center agent inbox.

I cannot set ip a POP email account (not POP3)

I have one e-mail account that still seems to be based on the POP protocol rather than POP3. I cannot get Thunderbird to accept a POP account, it only offers POP3 or IMAP, there is no other option, as a result I cannot access the account through Thunderbird, Outlook on the other hand has no problem. How do I resolve this issue?

Are you sure? POP3 is the current standard compliant and has been so for ages / years.
What settings are you using in Outlook:
Incoming Server name : ?
Port: ?
Connections Security : ?
Authentication Method: ?
What comes after the @ in your email address?

Email access via POP3 not being deleted from server

I have sync'd my phone to my Verizon.net account and everything seems to work great... except one thing. When I delete the email from my phone a copy of it still stays on the server. Unfortunately it is the Droid X and unlike the blackberry it does not give me the option to select to delete it from the mailbox as well. Is there any way to make a setting on my verizon.net account that will provide for better sync'ing? I would like to have my email both on my PC and on my phone - but the point of accessing my email on the phone is so that I can delete the junk and keep what I need to ... this is making me have to do the work twice.
PS I searched through the threads for a similar issue and only came across one. However, the topic was closed by an admin stating that the issue belongs in the wireless community. I'm not sure I agree with this only because the issue has to do with accessing verizon.net mail via POP3 more than it does with the phone being used to access it (I would think anyway). In any case if anyone has some input on this I would appreciate it.

AFAIK, the device in question would have to "delete from server when deleted". The web page (server) has no way to know when you delete it from the phone. The computer can do this, but without that feature on the droid, I think your stuck.

Good afternoon. For over a week I can't get email on MY DASH. Can't see mail in my Gmail Viewer. Get a POP3 error ... can't connect to POP server. Thought it may be a Gmail interface issue so tried to get Hotmail and then Earthlink email in the Chumby email app. Both give same message POP3 Error , can't connect to pop3 server. I have done multiplr hard restarts / power off / "restore to normal operation" procedures. I have searched the discussions and community and can find no mention of POP server issues. Please help .... advise. I'm a disabled, but still working, senior citizen without a fancy, internet, cell phone and my Dash's ability to display my email is very important to me. Emails issues on POP3 acct - IPad 2

I changed my POP3 email account's password today as a general security measure and now I cannot send (or reply) to emails on my Ipad 2 from that account. I called the Host and all the in/out settings are correct. All outgoing mail is being placed in to an Outbox. It attempts to send, but then a popup appears asking me to check my settings due to an incorrect password. I double checked the password and settings and all are correct. I can receive email just fine. Additionally, I can send/receive email my the other email accts linked to this IPad as well. I deleted the account and then attempted to add it and powered off the IPad and nothing seems to fix this issue. I have been operating just fine for years until today. The email account itself is fine as well as I am able to send/recieve from my desktop/laptop and both of my mobile phones (not iOS).
I am running iOS 8.1.3
Any suggestions?

Then they cannot be correct. When you added the account back, did you get a verification? You did not answer the question about the possibility of multiple SMTP servers. If mail is getting staged in the Outbox, then there is an incorrect setting. Did you enter the username and password in all sections, even where the iPhone said it was optional?

yeah my problem... i have a pop3 email account on my iphone 4 ...
several times... specially by great emails i become only a notification that the mail can´t recieved from the server!!!
below is a button to load the rest "0 byte" but it doesn´t function...
is this a known problem ?? and is there a solution for this problem ??

The authentication is set to password and I'm positive that the password is correct.
My Internet host is IPower Web. They host my outgoing mail. I do not have an ISP other than this IPhone.
99% of the time, i am on the Edge network.
Just so you guys know, i called Apple. They told me to change my outgoing server to cwmx.com and erase any other settings that were already in. Wah lah! It works now. Still doesnt explain why the other doesnt work though.

Galaxy S5 Won't Connect to Email Server for POP3 or IMAP

I use POP3 from a rackspace webmail account. I use it on my PC and a few mobile devices.
Got a new S5 and all seems good except setting up my rackspace email.
I know all the setting are good, I can verify them with rackspace and on my other devices.
I have confirmed I have a good internet connection, both via wifi and the Vz network.
I tried setting up as IMAP instead, and the S5 also does not authenticate with the email server.
Rackspace can't help me, their settings are simple and work fine on other devices.
I've tried using my wifi and with wifi turned off.
Other mail (yahoo and gmail) both work fine.
Any good ideas?

After setting up Incoming Server it returns an error ”Unable to connect to server –ERR Authentication failed)”

Why does my iPad 2 iOS 7 not respond when I try to move multiple emails from my pop3 account to the trash?

I've tried the suggestions on this website. Ive upgraded to iOS 7.0.4
I've gone to my yahoo email account's inbox, not the all mailboxes inbox.
I've download my emails and hit the edit button. Ive selected an individual email, hit the move button and kept my finger on the move button and deselected the email I initially selected.
A new window is supposed to open so that I can hit the trash button, but the new window does not open. The blue dot next to my originally selected email disappears. The move and trash links at the bottom grey out and the message "select messages to trash or move" stays visible over the preview area. The only link that isn't greyed out is "cancel". I've let the screen sit this way until my ipad goes to sleep, but the new window never opens. I keep trying it over and over, but it doesn't work. I have 1000's of emails I need to delete because they are taking up too much memory
