Compact text in an email

I often get emails that have the text in a narrow column strung out for mages.  Is there a way to reformate this text into a wide compact page?

just found something from vodafone.uk so Its not a local issue.....
did you see/ try this?
"Thank you for your post and a very warm welcome to the eForum from myself and the team.
This is the first time I have come across this issue and I have been unable to recreate this here in the office however as you mention this has happened on two different devices it doesn't sound like the phone.
Please could you ensure that you are using the latest software for your device.
After doing some research I found a similar article that affected Gmail accounts, please could you try the below method and let me know how you get on.
Open up the "Settings" tab within your Hotmail account. Enable "IMAP" under the "Forwarding" section. After completing this process, you will need to reintegrate your Hotmail account with your BlackBerry.
Many Thanks

You cannot update iPhone 4 to IOS 8.1.2, the highest you can update is IOS 7.1.2.
Unless you've iPhone 4S (looks similar to iPhone 4)

  • All text in all email are blank, can't view attachments.

After last osx update 10.5.6 I noticed a problem with my email. I have 2 email accounts in mail 3.5 The 1st works fine, the 2nd account lost all text in all email in in-box. Also all attachments are blank. I've tried forwarding the email to another account and also printing email but all the text looks as if it has been deleted. I've tried the font color and encoding but no luck. What would cause 20 emails to delete all the message text and blank out the attachments in only one email account?

update - I did a rebuild mailbox and all email in that problem account diapered. I can only guess that the email got corrupted and the rebuild purge the problem records. They are not in the delete folder either. What would cause one email box to become corrupt?

  • How do i reduce width of text in received emails to print within 8 1/2" paper

The width of text in received emails is too wide to print within normal margins of 8 1/2 inch paper, so some of the text at the end off each line does not appear when the email is printed.

Too wide at a 40% scale??
    File > Print Preview <br />
Try changing those settings to '''100%''' and '''Shrink to Fit''' in the Print Preview window. '''''You need to print from that Preview window immediately, so the change in settings is "held" by Firefox.'''''
If that doesn't fix your problem, try saving that "text" to a file and then viewing it in a Text program like Notepad or Wordpad that has ''' "wrap" ''' enabled. I would suspect that something with "wrap coding" in that file isn't completely with Firefox's ability to display text files and "wrap" when it needs to "wrap" to keep the text on the "page".

From photo I selected 3 photos to send via email. I choose the upload key and choose to send by email. Typing text on the email is very slow. This is solved by saving the email as a draft and opening the email again from mail.
Can you amend he system to allow emails to be sent from photo as previously.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"

  • How do I create a custom sound/vibration profile per app, SMS text, phone, or email contact?

I have a Verizon iPhone 4s recently upgraded to iOS 7.  I'm an IT engineer who's on call and started a new job last week with a company that doesn't provide company phones like a blackberry.  So now I get tons of company email alerts, text messages, and phone calls both private and for work.  I always have my phone switched to vibrate to filter out the noise of generic emails/texts/phone calls, but I also need to be able to configure specific emails sent from our network monitoring servers, text messages from my teammates and alerting devices, as well as phone calls from our internal tech support to be sent with sound.  Ideally I also need to be able to configure alert options in an "On-call" profile I can switch on so that I can configure alert repeats and the most annoying noise I can find so I don't sleep through network pages..  But I still want to be able to keep the default vibrate for everyone else and everything else.. How do I create a custom sound/vibration profile per app, SMS text, phone, or email contact?  In blackberry's, you can easily create different profiles to switch back/forth and configure each app/text/phone option to either a sound option or vibrate.  iPhone seems to be all vibrate or all sound, with little to no options to mix/match the two..  If Apple ever hopes to truly capture the enterprise market blackberry has, this is the most standard and essential feature on blackberries for IT professionals..  If I have to buy a third-party app for this, so be it.  But I've been searching for hours and found nothing that creates customized sound/vibrate profiles for iPhone like this (minus jailbreaking your phone, but I shouldn't have to jailbreak a $699 "smartphone" for simple sound/vibrate/alert options like this..).

Yeah Appke wants to be like RIM (Blackberry) who is sinking fast and their devices will be door stops.
http://www.apple.com under support you can ask at their forum or you can call them. However if you call under ios7 support they may help you for free. But if not they will cost you $$$$
As far as I can tell with my iphone what you want to do is not possible. There are sites that tell you how  to make different ringtones for the device but your choices to change  sounds for email and text/sms messages are controlled unders sounds in the setting menu.  Again the manual is on your phone and online if you need assistance changing sounds and ringtones.
    Good Luck

  • Text message to email sent as attachment instead of in email body

I used to have this problem before with my iPhone 4, but it seemed to go away. Now, with the lates OS update it's back again. When I send a text message to my wife's Gmail it arrives as a text file attachment to the email instead of just normal text in the email body.
I use Verizon, and the source of the email is @vzwpix.com. I know that there is also @vtext.com, but in the past it hasn't mattered which one was used.
    Any ideas?

If you try reading other posts here about attachments and such you may get a hint. It sounds like all email programs would work fine if people just sent plain text. Problems arise when we use RTF (rich text format) and HTML. Possibly the original email you received had formatted text. My guess is that if you forced that text into plain text then it would be readable by all. This is the reason that only some people have trouble with the forwarded text. It depends on their email client or even on settings of that client.
    Good luck.

  • Auto-enter text in linked email doc?

    Hi-
Apologies for my lack of HTML prowess...
    I'm creating a website using DW8, with a page that has a
number of different email links to various government officials.
Because the messages to each of the recipients is different, I was
hoping to be able to program Dreamweaver to auto-insert specific
text into whatever email composer pops up when users click on the
email link as it appears in their browsers. Is this possible? If
so, is it very complicated? Thanks for any and all leads.
    RD

OK. Never mind my previous post. I found the ASCII line break
    code that did the trick.
Everything is working fine with one exception:
Once I post this to the server for testing, one of my test
email clients (Outlook Express 6) ceases to open the document if
the body exceeds 190 words (1085 characters, 1270 including
spaces). If I upload the total doc (293 words, 1657 characters,
1943 wtih spaces) the link does nothing when clicked upon. As a
test, I tried omitting the top of the body text to see if there was
some code in the tail end that was screwing things up, but it works
under a certain word count, so apparently, it is not defective code
    in the body.
i realize this is getting kind of obscure, but, is anyone
aware of any issues that might cause this behavior in Outlook
Express? My other test client is Apple's "Mail." That seems to be
working properly. Normally, I wouldn't care, as I spend most of my
time in Mac, but this thing has to work for everyone.
    Thanks for any insight.

  • Text messages and email accounts disappeared after...

    Hi,
I just made a backup via OVI Suite and now all my text messages and email accounts are gone. When trying to restore it skips the messages and marks them with an exclamation point inside a red triangle.
Where did my messages and email accounts go? How will I be able to get them back?
    Please help!
    Thanks,
    Marc

Text messages should be saved for as long as you save them. Email will be saved for the length of time you chose when you setup your mail account.

  • Text Message / Browser / Email typing lag

Ever since I bought the iPhone 3G, I've noticed that when im typing out a text message / an email / in a browser, or anything that involves typing, my phone just randomly decides whether it was to lag or not. Sometimes there is no delay in typing speeds, other times it sits there and lags for about 1-1.5 seconds on each letter you press (so you type out an entire sentence and then have to wait as the phone delays itself in typing).
Is anyone else having this problem? Is it isolated to the iphone 3G? Is it something about the 2.0 software?

This issue was introduced in firmware 2.0 and exists on first gen iPhones also. They did not occur with firmwar 1.1.4 or below.
Apple knows about that and hopefully fixes it in the next firmware release. Meanwhile you can switch your phone off and on again, which helps in most cases (at least for a short period of time).

  • How do I extract text from an email?

    Hello!
I am in the process of trying to automate orders from my website. How do I extract text from an email and paste it into specific cells in an Excel spreadsheet using Automator?
    Many thanks,
    Toby Bateson

If you select the message on the Inbox list, or open the message, you can then go to the Message menu of Mail and select Remove Attachments.

  • Copy text from an email

I just purchased my first iPad, although I have been an Apple user for years. My question is this...I would like to copy and paste text from an email into a document for saving, or just save a whole email as a .pdf. Is there any way to do this easily? I can't seem to copy and paste from an email on my iPhone and am a bit cofused. I would also like to copy and paste certain passages from books, or web sites. Any suggestions as to the best apps to do this type of thing? Thanks

iWorks doesn't appear to like iCab on the iPad, but the rest sorta functions.
    I've noticed that as well.
We are way OT now, (gee we never do that .... ) but the most recent upgrades to iCab Mobile have caused some issues for me. I constantly have to sign in again here the ASC if I go longer than 30 minutes or so without posting. That never used to happen before the latest update to iCab. Could be something I'm doing wrong, but if it is, I haven't figured it out yet.
Have you explored iCab's settings (of which there are about 5000 ) could be something added there on the last update.

  • 2 Qs PRIMARY Q: Should one compact before deleting TB email or vice versa

HELLO, MY PRIMARY QUESTION: Apparently compacting is part of deletion. But should one Compact before Deleting TB email or Vice Versa OR does it matter which comes first?
SECONDARY NOTE & QUESTION;i have read the article on compacting but still do not know exactly what this word means- (e.g. does it means compressing & why is it absolutely necessary for deletion? In this regard the TB compacting article says in PERTINENT part; "IF the message is marked as DELETED or moved, Thunderbird SKIPS that message and moves onto the next message." The preceding quote would seem to say that compacting is not part of deletion, yet i know (or think I know) that both deleting a email and compacting it are necessary for its TOTAL DELETION in TB. Can anyone explain this seeming contradiction? ( I used to use Outlook and i do not remember the term "compacting" with that system).
ANY ANSWER TO EITHER QUESTION WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU

Deleting a message marks it for deletion and hides it. Compacting actually removes it and frees up the disk space. Delete then compact.
Despite the poorly chosen name compacting has nothing to do with compressing files as in zipping them.

  • Texts sent as email

I just activated my iPhone 5.   When i text people they are receiving texts from my email not my phone number, also to FaceTime me people have to use my e-mail.  Any idea why this is happening?

You need to go in to settings and change what your Send & Receive address(es). Got to Settings --> Messages --> Send & Receive.
