Comparing the Tax procedures of Europe and Asia

Hi
There is a requirement for me to compare and produce an analysis report on the Tax procedures followed by Europe and Asian Countries.
As i have not worked much in this area,i have no clues as of where to start from. Out of my own study i have gathered the following info :-
a) A tax procedure would be defined for every country :- But here we have so many condition types ( more than 20 for each country) and moreover they differ from each other.
In the above case how should we begin the analysis. Should we have to compare condition type by condition type ?
If so then it would consume a lot of time. Please advise.
b) I feel that once this procedure is defined, almost three-fourths of the job is done.
The rest remains to assign a country and define the GL accounts for thr relevant ActKeys mentioned in the respective procedures.
But i wish to know the analysis part of the Tax procedure. Also how can i know that a particular country is following a specific Tax procedure. Is there any place where i can check this out ?
Thanks in advance

Hi llona,
we are having the same situation that our Company Code is having its offices in almost all the countries.  So we have created Tax Codes with reporting countries in the same way you told that first character for type of tax and second character for reporting country.  Deductible/non-deductible is maintained in the description itself.  As per my knowledge it is the better way.

  • Will a flash movie affect how searchable my website is in Europe and Asia?

I have a legal website - http://www.hilfandhilf.com.  I practice immigration law, and I want to incorporate foreign language videos to build my clientele in Europe and Asia.  I want to make sure what I incorporate is compatible worldwide, and does not get relegated to a page where no one will view the videos I plan to create.  Any suggestions?

    WCDMA network: 850 MHz, 1900 MHz, 1700 - 2100 MHz

WCDMA max data speed UL: HSUPA - 5.76 Mbps

Am I correct in assuming I will not have any problems with the voice portion?  Looking at the frequency bands, will 3D be possible or only EGPRS or something else?
As far as I can tell all the wireless carriers in Europe and Asia use Lumia 520 with what looks to me like different data frequency bands:  WCDMA network: 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1900 MHz, 2100 MHz

  • What is the correct procedure to connect and collect events from IPS through SDEE

What is the correct procedure to connect and collect events from IPS through SDEE?
We are a 3rd party application, that needs to collect and analyze the IPS events for a client.
Currently the approach we are following is
    1) get a SubscriptionId using the URL below
    https://IP_Of_IPS/cgi-bin/sdee-server?action=open&events=evIdsAlert&force=yes
This gets us a subscriptionId which is used in step 2
    2) Collect events from the url below
    https://IP_Of_IPS/cgi-bin/sdee-server?confirm=yes&action=get&subscriptionId=sub-sample&startTime=1362699903575432000
a few more notes here are
    - starttime is current time in nanoseconds
the peculiar problem here is that, even though we specify todays date, SDEE returns us the events from mid Feb (today is march 7)
we did try a few combinations, but are out of ideas.
any help or direction would be appreciated

This is more an application issue than an IPS issue.
Have you compared your app against other apps [IME]?

  • How is the tax procedure determined on a transaction?

    Hi !
We are using a bolt-on for US tax transactions and internal functionality for VAT.
Now, the US entity needs to sell from an EU plant under an EU VAT ID.
We crated and assigned a new pricing procedure in SD to pick up MWST conditions and created appropriate condition records to assign EU tax codes.
In SD, all goes well; the appropraite tax codes are assigned, rates used in calculations etc.
However, when we release to accounting. We get an error that "Tax Code XX is not assigned to Tax Procedure TAXUSX."
It was my understanding that the country of the shipping plant was the country that drives the Tax Procedure selection, so I would have expected the system to find the appropriate EU tax procedure etc.  Why is the system finding the Tax Procedure for the United States?
    Help!

    Hi,
In SD the country of the shipping plant is used for the tax procedure.
In FI the country of the company code is used for the tax procedure.
In cases where the countries are different ,you have to maintain the same tax code in both relevant procedures.
SD only transfers the tax code to accounting (not code + procedure) , so accounting looks for that tax code in TAXUSX.
    Kind regards

    Hi,
There is a Field for Manual entries in configutration for Conditions : Condition Types.
Manual Entries Indicator which controls the priority within a condition type between a condition entered manually and a condition automatically determined by the system.
Make the following entries according to your requirements:
    _: No limitations
    A: Freely definable
B: The automatic entry has priority. If a condition record exists, the condition cannot be entered manually.
C: The manual entry has priority. When you enter the condition manually, the system does not check whether a condition record exists.
    D: Cannot be processed manually
    Hope this will help.

  • What is the proper procedure dor uninstalling and reinstalling CS5 extended?

I downloaded some trial plugins and then removed them and ever since, CS5 is not working well. Sometimes when I open it and go to file open to open an image, everything is grayed out and I have to close down and re-launch. When I open an image and want to look at the file info, everything freezes and I have to use task manager to close down photoshop. As well, my bridge is not working correctly. I want to uninstall and then reinstall, but I thought that somewhere that I read there are specific ways to do that or else the program thinks you're trying to load it on another computer..? Thanks for any help and dircetions/instructions that you can give me.

As a test, and perhaps an alternative to Uninstallin and Reinstalling PS CS 5, if you are on a PC, check to see if you have a System Restore Point, prior to the installation of those trials. If you do, then first - create a new System Restore Point for today, and then boot to Safe Mode. There, you should be presented with the option to Restore the System. Navigate to that System Restore Point, prior to the trails, and choose it. The system will then ask to be rebooted, after a few moments. Do so, and then test PS. Does that fix things?
On a Mac, I think that the equivilent of System Restore is something like Time Machine, but do not know if that is part of the Mac OS, or an add-on product.
    Good luck,

  • Are tax procedures TAXIN and TAXINN same?

Guys, in OBYZ transaction I don't find TAXINN, I find only TAXIN. Are these one and the same? If not, how do I activate TAXINN in the system?
    Regards,

    Hi,
When you enter a purchasing document, for example, a purchase order, the R/3 System automatically calculates the applicable excise duties using the condition technique. The standard system comes with two tax calculation procedures:
    -          TAXINN -  IN; India taxes new
    -          TAXINJ  - Sales Tax India
    TAXINN:
    1. It is Condition Based Tax procedure.
    2. Tax Code is required to be maintained in Condition Record, & if Tax Code is not found in Condition Record, Sales Cycle will go upto billing, but not release to accounting. Hence even a single Tax code may suffice the requirement for different Tax rate.
    3. Tax condition record is maintain through TCode FV11.
    4. It only supports condition-based excise determination.
    TAXINJ:
    1. It is Formula Based Tax procedure.
    2. It was most commonly used upto initial phase of R/3 4.7, but the latter implementations were with TAXINN.
    3. Tax Code plays a vital role, as the Tax Rate are maintained in Tax Code in TCode FTXP..
    4. It is complex compared to TAXINN
    5. It can supports both condition-based excise determination and formula-based excise determination.
    6. For Example, code for 362 routine for Condition formula for alternative calculation type
Activation steps are same as above:
    >Go to transaction code OBCO to define the tax procedure TAXINN and TAXINJ.
    >Then assign country to tax procedure in transaction code OBBG

  • Relation between Tax procedure and Pricing procedure

    Dear All,
I would like to get more clarity on Tax procedure, Pricing procedure.
    a) Why do we have Tax procedure and assigned to Country?
    b) If the tax procedure has been created and assigned to Country-IN (in FI module), then why do we need to create pricing procedure with same condition type for purchasing in MM module?  We are even creating lot of pricing procedure for Sales in SD module.
    Regards
    Manivannan R

    Hi
    Tax
During SD document transactions, tax calculation procedure TAXUSX is only relevant to determine the tax liability accounts for output sales tax. Notice that in pricing procedure RVAXUS, the condition types XR1 - XR6 carry the tax rates and tax amounts - resulted from the external tax system calculation - which is posted to tax G/L accounts. However, the tax accounts are not specified in the pricing procedure but rather in the tax calculation procedure.
Tax codes are the link between pricing procedure and tax calculation procedure.
    Pricing
The primary job of a pricing procedure is to define a group of condition types in a particular sequence. The pricing procedure also determines:
    Which sub-totals appear during pricing
To what extent pricing can be processed manually
Which method the system uses to calculate percentage discounts and surcharges
Which requirements for a particular condition type must be fulfilled before the system takes the condition into account
    Example
    Example of a Pricing Procedure
If a sales department processes sales orders for a variety of foreign customers, the department can group the customers by country or region. A pricing procedure can then be defined for each group of customers. Each procedure can include condition types that determine, for example, country-specific taxes. In sales order processing, you can specify pricing procedures for specific customers and for sales document types. The system automatically determines which procedure to use.
Pricing Procedures in the R/3 System
The standard system contains pre-defined pricing procedures, which contain frequently used condition types along with their corresponding access sequences. You can, of course, modify these procedures or create your own from scratch.
    Creating and Maintaining Pricing Procedures
You create or maintain pricing procedures in Customizing for Sales. For more information on creating pricing procedures, see the online Implementation Guide for Sales and Distribution.
To reach the pricing procedure screen from SD Customizing:
       1. Choose Basic Functions
       2. ® Pricing ® Pricing control ® Define and assign pricing procedures.Select the transaction that you want to execute.

Our current SAP system is set up with internal tax procedure, and we are planning to use Vertex as the external tax system. However, due to phase approach, we are planning to launch Vertex for part of the company codes and the rest of the company codes will stay with internal tax procedure. Is this possible?
