Comparison between ABAP command statements in different versions

Hi,
I'm looking for information on version wise difference in ABAP statements. Can someone provide help in this area.
I need a list of Commands along with there syntax in different versions of ABAP (ECC 5.0 and 4.7).
Is there any system table where this information is maintained?
Regards,
Gajendra Bhatt

Hi Gajendra ,
I doubt if SAP has some document which shows the history of all ABAP commands as to how they behaved in which version. The only option you have is go through the following notes and compile the info manually -
0000178452 Release upgrade from 4.0 to 4.5 for customers prog
0000452229 Release upgrade from 6.10 to 6.20 for customer pro
0000178725 Release upgrade from 4.5 to 4.6 for customer progr
0000689951 Release upgrade from 6.20 to 6.40 for customer pro
0000178482 Rel. upgrade from 3.0 to 4.0 for customer programs
0000857904 0003 0.460 Upgrade from Release 6.40 to 7.0: Customer program
0000367676 0061 0.450 Release upgrade from 4.6 to 6.10 for customer prog
0000099025 0004 0.340 Change from 4.0A/B to 4.5A for customer programs
Cheers.

  • EhP5 Report: Actual/Actual Comparison Between Different Ledgers

    Dear all,
Hoping that someone here has faced the same challenge and found a solution...
My client wants to see a side-by-side comparison of the financial statements for several ledgers; ideally three, but two will do.
It appears that EhP5 includes an enhancement of the standard actual/actual comparison report which allows a comparison between two ledgers. However, we are running EhP4, and an upgrade is unlikely to happen very soon. Do you know whether the report is available separately? Our search for a separate SAP note was unsuccessful.
Our other alternative would be to develop a report ourselves, but if a standard solution is available, that would feel rather daft...
    Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the advice - as the system would not let me create versions for these non-FISL ledgers, I assumed it was not possible to run the report for them at all.
Unfortunately, I do not have the actual/actual comparison for two different years built in, nor the financial statement version, so we may still have to develop a new report (as per project standards, in BI rather than ERP)...
    Kind regards

  • Open dataset statement in different SAP versions

    Hi ,
I have to write a program which is for extracting data from application server. I have to run this program on different sap versions like, 4.6b, 4.6c, 4.7, 5.0 . I am using 'OPEN DATASET' statement in my program. But the problem is, in versions below 4.6c, this statement is written as "OPEN DATASET filename FOR READING IN TEXT MODE".
And in versions above 4.7 it is written as "OPEN DATASET filename FOR READING IN TEXT MODE DEFAULT ENCODING".
So when this statement will be executed in versions below 4.6c, it will give syntax errors.
Can you let me know how to solve this problem.
    Thanks.

  • Can NI-PSP be used to communicate between machines developed with different versions of LabVIEW?

    Hi all,
A customer has a large PC application developed with LabVIEW 2010 SP1.
They would like to add extend their system with a cRIO-9075. According to this document (ftp://ftp.ni.com/pub/devzone/tut/crio_software_versions.htm ), the minimum supported version of LabVIEW (with Scan Engine support) is LV 2011.
To minimize risks, it is preferred that we don't upgrade LabVIEW for the main application, which is atively being used in production.
I was thinking of developing the cRIO software in a newer version of LabVIEW (say, LV 2013 SP1), and using shared variables only to communicate between the PC and the cRIO.
Is this a viable option? Does it matter if the PC and the cRIO have different versions of the LV runtime?

It shouldn't matter, but then with shared variables you can never know for sure -- there are so many things that can make them break.
You might be money ahead to write the comm using TCP/IP. You know that will work.

  • Link between assets in different versions. (One update changes an asset in all 3 places)

I understand the hurdles it will take to give Adobe Muse the ability to create responsive sites, though I have very little knowledge of what it takes to make a change like this I wonder if there is a way to soften the blow of there being no true responsive option. My biggest problem with the 3 different versions (desktop, tablet, and phone) is the updating process. Every time I want to make an update, or a client makes an update, it has to be made in three separate places. This seems crazy to me - often times leading me away from creating a tablet version at all just so it is one less step. It would be great if there were a way to at least link assets between all three versions so that when one is changed all of them are updated. Like I said, I have no idea what goes into programming this software or how easy or difficult this would be to implement. In my opinion, this would be a great way to bridge the gap between the current Muse and a "perfect-world-responsive Muse".

Bottom line compare the SP number as directed to from HP based on part number from the FTP site not the F. number.
My problem wasn't quite that simple, though I wish it was. The Service Manual provided by HP for my computer through the P/N page did not have the processor that came with my computer when I purchased it brand new listed in the manual. I had to go through forums to find the correct service manual to get the specs and see what CPUs would work in an upgrade. When I did that usually the F number not the SP number was used. If using the SP number was standard I don't think I would have had so much of an issue. A big part of the reason I started the search and asked the question was I found references to people using the HP driver page and then upgrading the CPU based on the corresponding numbers provided in the service manual for my exact computer P/N and it not working. And this was both on this HP Forum as well as other forums.

  • Functional and technical comparisons between JDE version A 7.3 and A 9.3

    Hi,
We need to convert the modules already written/designed in JDE v A 7.3 to JDE v 9.3.
So I need to discuss with you people the functional/technical comparisons between these two versions.
I have gone through these links to know something:

    Kindly advise on it.
    Thanks,

    Windows on Intel Macs
There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
    1. Install the Apple Boot Camp software.  Purchase Windows XP w/Service Pak2, Vista, or Windows 7.  Follow instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and installing Windows.  Boot Camp enables you to boot the computer into OS X or Windows.
    2. Parallels Desktop for Mac and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  Parallels is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
    3. VM Fusionand Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  VM Fusion is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
    4. CrossOver which enables running many Windows applications without having to install Windows.  The Windows applications can run concurrently with OS X.
    5. VirtualBox is a new Open Source freeware virtual machine such as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris.  It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM Fusion.
Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc.  There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization.  The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. See MacTech.com's Virtualization Benchmarking for comparisons of Boot Camp, Parallels, and VM Fusion. Boot Camp is only available with Leopard or Snow Leopard. Except for Crossover and a couple of similar alternatives like DarWine you must have a valid installer disc for Windows.
You must also have an internal optical drive for installing Windows. Windows cannot be installed from an external optical drive.

  • Roaming between WLC and vWLC on different code versions

    Hi,
I have the following setup in our environment, a HA 5508 pair running 7.4.100 and a vWLC running 7.6.130.  I have mobility setup between the two with the control and data path up and running.  All the access points are setup for FlexConnect.
When I join an SSID using PSK on an AP associated with the vWLC and then roam to an AP on the 5508, I drop a few pings but stay connected no problem.  However when I join an SSID using PEAP (both WLC's using Radius to Cisco ISE 1.2 for this) and repeat the test, my client actually drops my wireless connection and then rejoins.
Is this expected behaviour when running controllers on different versions?  This is only temporary until I upgrade the 5508 pair.
    Cheers
    Brian

Oh... Forgot.  With FlexConnect, you also want to create FlexConnect Groups.  See this link:

  • MDM between different versions of SAP

    Hi,
Scenario: I have two SAP systems. A is 4.6C and B is ECC 6.0
Is it possible to use one MDM between the two system?
    E.g.
    (SAP 4.6C) <--> (SAP MDM) <--
    > (SAP ECC 6.0)

    Hi Riaan,
Yes, i think you can use MDM for different versions of SAP. As you know Data communicates between R/3 to MDM using PI, so in PI during Configuring Scenario, when you Transfer Integration Scenario from Integration Repository, you have option to use Version Number for Same SAP System during Assign Services.
Also in Integration Builder:Design of PI , you can use Import software components Version which can be transfer from System Landscape Directory (SLD) using Tools from Menu Bar.
This is because you have Registered SAP Sytem in SLD.
Also, In SLD you have Software Catalogs under this Software Component here you have registered software component with Versions for the Same SAP Product.
    Hope it will help you,
    Rewards if Useful.....

  • Transports between 2 different versions of SAP

We are developing a product on ECC 6.0 (IDES) system and I'm trying to figure out how we can delivery the product to our customers.  We have our own development namespace in SAP.  Some of our customers are on ECC 6.0 and some are still on 4.7.  Can we send a transport that was created in ECC 6.0 to a 4.7 system?
    Thank you,

    Hi,
It is possible to transport between 2 different versions but it is dangerous : you have to know exactly what you are transporting and the dependencies with standard SAP code.
So, it is much safer to recreate your source code in a developement system of the new version and create new transport orders from there...
