Compensation Management Module valid for withdrawn employees
Is compensation management module valid for withdrawn employees. I.e. can we run the compensation process for withdrawn employees.
Their wagetype would be delimited and for base calculation we won't have an amount but by using using user exit fi we can pull out the last salary paid and change the 0381 to make the employee eligible than can we run compensation process for employement status = withdrawn for an employee

Once employee moves to employement status zero, payroll will only be executed if there is some master data change. Without that it is not possible. So just check if system ws triggering some retro for this test case. Also you can check IT0003 'Earliest MD change' for the reason. Alongwith it even if the user has deleted the record, you can still do the simulation run and check the results for the employee. from result you can easily track if there was any chnage.

Manager Applies leave for his employee!!

We are planning to implement ESS, and instead of giving all the employes access to portal, have thought of using 'ESS in MSS' or in latest version its in 'Related Activities' of General Information Page.
Its a standard process to achieve this, but implementing this requires more work for the manager , as he has to apply leave for all of his team members(Sub ordinates); Is there any possibility that this task of applying leaves can be delegated to a member of the department/org unit??( i.e., a person who is not cheif/head of the org unit).

You can try giving the MSS role in the portal. But I am not sure if this will fetch the subordinate information because in the standard the organisational structure views MSS_LTV_EE_ALL and MSS_LTV_EE_DIR are used to fetch the pernr of the employees. Check in the view cluster VC_TWPC_ORGVWGRP. (T-Code SM34)
To fetch data from the organizational structure, the system first get the root objects. As start object, the evaluation path always contains the user (manager) who is logged on.
Starting from each individual root object, the system uses the evaluation path in the Evaluation Path field to determine
organizational objects that lie below the root object.
I am not sure if there is a standard organisational view for your requirement. I think you need to tweak the code a little bit get the
subordinate of the manager when the delegated employee is logged on.

Hi Experts,
My client is planning to go for Compensation Management module.
Now with Talent Management EHP-6/7 Compensation is falling under Talent Management which is a built in functionality.
Client does not have any Compensation Management in Play.
They have only 2 components of:
Incentive given to emplopyee per year,Bonus per year & salary survey, in this situation which would be a better solution to follwo.
My question here is whether we should go for conventional Compensation managent or Enterprise Compensation Management.

Dear Experts,
We are implementing Compensation Management module for our client which contain global entities( 14 Countries.(Payroll- Country wise)
Can you please guide me, how do define the Compensation Area for all the 14 countries.
The following components are defined with similarities for our Client like (regionally)
India Corporate Office:
Salary Increase
PMS Based Incentive(F)
PMS Based Incentive(B)
India Factory:
Salary Increase
Bonus Factory
PMS Based Incentive(F)
PMS Based Incentive(B)
African Countries: (including 10 Countries having the same components)
Salary Increase

Bonus Africa(only)
Europe: (3 Countries having the same components)

Kindly guide me how to define the above business scenario into SAP and looking forward your valuable guidelines.

Do you mean to say you have diff payroll areas for India say Corp and Factory like wise,then you can group Compensation Area as 01-corp with Ctry Grp 40 and 02-Factory with Ctry Grp 40 so on and so forth,same with other countries depending upon their payroll.
Also check with the Documentation of Compensation area. -
Enterprise Compensation Management - Mass date change of IT 0759
We run ECC 5.0 SP45 (for HR)
We currently use the Enterprise Compensation Management (ECM) process for our Merit Increases and Bonus assignments.
This year, at the end of the process (meaning that everyone is in Approved status on IT 0759), Management decided to change the effective date of the Merit Increases.
Does anyone have a suggestion (other than create a bdc session) that would allow me to mass change the effective date of this particular comp. review item on IT 0759, without impacting the bonus review item?Hi Laural,
Instead of BDC, you can use the ECM function modules.
Get the infotype data through HR_ECM_READ_INFOTYPE
and change the data through HR_ECM_MODIFY_INFOTYPE.
And the BEGDA and ENDDA in 759 would be the same as of the payment date. So you would be changing both dates here to the new payment date.
I cannot think of any other alternative solution.

In the comp management section,we are trying to allow a feature whereby based on the location where a staff is located, his merit increase could be increased or changed so as to accomodate changes in living costs based on the zip code.
Would this come in Eligibility or Guidelines? I have been told that RAF ( Regional Adjustment Factor) is possible , but I am trying to figure out as in where in the IMG would the settings be done for the same ...

Even tried to put the external debugger in the class CL_HRECM00_WORKFLOW_EVENT in the method RAISE_COMPENSATION_NOTIFICATION but system is not stopping at the debugger and directly updated the records in info type 759 with submit status without triggering the event.
Please advise.

However, immaterial of whether notification is selected or not, the system events CREATE, SUBMIT, APPROVE, REJECT must be triggered. Only if there is a receiver to those events, following actions may occur.

Steps on how to proceed to create a Query:
ADHOC QUERY
A query can be created to extract information from master records i.e Infotypes. For example, by creating a query , the data relating to an employee contained in various Infotypes can be extracted.
Proceedure :
Decide on the various Infotypes we want to make the query. Decide on the area where we want to query i.e Global area or Standard area. Standard area is client specific and globel area will include all clients.
Menu : HR u2013 PM u2013 Admn - Information System - Adhoc Query
Select area standard and select the user group already created
Creation of new query :
TC SQ03 - Select Environment u2013 Select Standard Area - Enter -- If new user group is to be created, enter name of the user group, click on create and enter necessary information and exit after saving
TC SQ02 - Enter name of the Infoset u2013 Create u2013 enter name of Infoset - Data source -- > Table join by basis table u2013 give name of table e.g pa0000 - Enter - Click on insert table if we want to include more tables u2013 give name of table one by one and after finishing, place cursor on the joining lines and right click to delete unwanted relationships - check - and go back - field groups - include all table fields - click on generate button - go out
TC SQ03 - Select user group - eg. Payroll
Infoset - Enter name of newly created Infoset
Assign users and Infosets - Assign infosets - put tick on payroll - save and go back
TC PAAH - Expand the nodes and put tick on relevant fields depending upon necessity
Save the query by giving the same name as infoset for easyness.. -
Org Assignment of global employees in Compensation Management
I have a problem with Compensation Management but it also relates the Org Assignment of global employees
In Comp when I try to submit an employee using transaction HRCMP001, I have an error saying no org assignment exist on 01. 01 .2008.
The business scenario is as follows. EE is hired on 01012008 in UK for e.g. he gets terminated on 31.05.2008 and then gets re-hired in another country using the Global Employee Personnel actions on 01.06.2008. In this county, he becomes eligible to receive the increase but when I try to submit, the error comes up that no org assignment exist for 01.01.2008. I have changed the settings in T582A to u2018copy infotypeu2019, it tries to reference the previous org assign infotype from 01.01.2008(which is correct but the system rejects it and will only accept the new date of the new hire 01.06.2008) thereby not referencing the old org assignment in the new personnel number.? I tried the propose infotype option but it did not do anything. Does any one have any suggestions? Is Quality management module required to be used for vendor evaluation?
Hi,
There is vendor evaluation functionality in MM. Is use of quality management module is mandatory for this? I wish to track the performance of vendor regarding quality (How much he has supplied, out of which how many are accepted and how many are rejected). Can I get this report without using QM?

Satishyou can enter Quality results manually in vendor evealuation, so QM is not necessary for this, however with QM you can get the scores semi-automatic and automatically.

I was searching for the fields you mentioned using SE15 and came up with lot of hits. I thought, it would be good if you do the same thing and you can find the relevant tables as might you have good idea in this area.
I will tell you the procedure and I hope it will give you good results.
1) Go to SE15 (Repository Info System)
2) Click on "ABAP Dictionary"
3) Click on "Fields"
4) Select "Table Fields" and enter description as "insured" on the right hand side panel with Application component as "FS"
5) Click "Execute" (F8) and you will lot of hits.
You need to search through it to find relevant tables for your purpose.
Hope this will give you an idea.
