Compilation error when java 5.0 features are used.

Hi,
I modified the make script in my project to use JDK 1.5.0_11 compiler. instead of 1.4.2 compiler. But when I run the make script, it is throwing errors for all the JDK 1.5.0 features like for-each construct, auto-boxing etc..
Please let me know if I am issing anything.
It compiles successfully in my IDE.
Thanks,
Ravikumar

  • I get a compiling error when trying to save a VI using 8.0.1.

    While trying to save a VI recently, I recieved an error that the code could not be generated.  The reason was that there was a compiling error while saving.  I know have a broken arrow and can not figure out how to resolve the issue.

    The thing that would help us help you the most is if you can attach a VI (in its last saved form) and a set of steps (edits) to the VI that cause it to get into the state where attempting to save it displays this compile error.  Sometimes this is difficult to do, but if you can do this it gives us the best chance of being able to reproduce and figure out the issue.  Let us know if you can post such a VI, thanks!

    Please could somebody help me out with this? Basically I am not able to understand how to deploy the EAR file created under the MyWork folder under jdeveloper\jdev to the applications folder of j2ee\home. I am new to both EAR deployment as well as web services and would like to get a good understanding of the working of a web service which includes SOAP components and the like.
    Any help with regards to building and deploying a web service on standalone OC4J would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

    Initially I followed the following steps to start up OC4J:-
    Settings :-
    1) Jdeveloper is setup under C:\Lester\Testing as Jdev10.1.3 folder
    2) I downloaded the extended oc4j zip folder and unzipped it under a new folder oc4j at the location C:\Lester\Testing\Jdev10.1.3
    Steps followed to run oc4j and deploy application
    1) Setup a standalone oc4j from the jdeveloper ide giving C:\Lester\Testing\Jdev10.1.3\oc4j as the root folder for oc4j.
    2) While doing step 1 added password and deployed it. Changed server.xml under C:\Lester/Testing/JDev10.1.3/oc4j/j2ee/home/config
    to include the following:-
    <shared-library name="global.libraries" version="1.0" library-compatible="true">
    <code-source path="C:\Lester/Testing/JDev10.1.3/oc4j/j2ee/home/applib"/>
    </shared-library>
    AND
    <java-compiler name="javac" in-process="false" options="-J-Xmx1024m -encoding UTF8" bindir="C:\Jdeveloper\jdk" extdirs="C:\Jdeveloper/jdk" />
    3) Opened a command prompt and went to the location C:\Lester\Testing\JDev10.1.3\oc4j\j2ee\home and ran the following command:-
    --> java -jar oc4j.jar
    4) Deployment: Then I deployed my primewebservice application from command prompt at C:\Lester\Smart Cylinder\Example code\prime\PrimeNumberService>
    using:-
    --> java -jar C:\Lester/Testing/JDev10.1.3/oc4j/j2ee/home/admin.jar ormi://172.20.13.164:8888 oc4jadmin welcome -deploy -file PrimeNumberService.ear -deploymentName DocStyleWebService
    5) Web Binding: Then I bound my primewebservice application from command prompt at C:\Lester\Smart Cylinder\Example code\prime\PrimeNumberService>
    using:-
    --> java -jar C:\Lester/Testing/JDev10.1.3/oc4j/j2ee/home/admin.jar ormi://172.20.13.164:8888 oc4jadmin welcome -bindWebApp DocStyleWebService PrimeNumberService_web http-web-site /docws
    6) Steps 4 and 5 went through without error.
    7) However when trying to access the web service using the following link I get the standard HTTP 404 (Page not found) error:-
    http://localhost:8888/docws/prime
    This was before I tried deploying the web service through jdeveloper IDE.
    I had tried the document web service given at the following link:-
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/tech/java/codesnippet/webservices/docservice/index.html
    from the web services how to links
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/tech/java/codesnippet/webservices/index.html
    Please could somebody help me out? Also periodically I recieve the ojc.exe not found error when trying to deploy an application using jdeveloper ide. There are two conflicting jdeveloper versions one comes with this exe and one without.

  • Compilation error when used SET or MULTISET operator on nested tables

    Dear All,
    I am getting Compilation error when used SET or MULTISET operator on nested tables inside a procedure.
    This is working fine in other DB installations of 10g but does not work in another 10g DB.
    it says "wrong number of parameter or datatype used in SET"
    Can any one suggest what went wrong here?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Thanks for ur reply...
    Since MULTISET and SET operators are the new additions in base 10g release for manipulation of nested tables data, I am surprised that same is working in similar 5 DBs installations with 10.2.0.1.0 version, but does not work in the sixth.
    SET and MULTISET operators are used inside the PL/SQL procedure which is getting compiled in the above mentioned 5 DBs but not in sixth DB.
    it gives
    On line: 3112
    PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'SET'
    Hope this clarifies the issue...

    Can any one suggest what went wrong here?Only if you would post the query and Oracle versions on both databases.
    Besides, this forum deals with issues in Oracle product installation. So post this query in SQL PL/SQL forum for better response.

  • Help: An error when I initial the planning areas:internal error

    Hi,
      An error when I initial the planning areas, I create time series objects for planning area DP01, system show an error message to me as follow:
      internal error [/SAPAPO/OM_TS_TGRID_CREATE]
      Message no. /SAPAPO/TSM099
    Thanks,
      Thomson

    Hi Thomson,
    I think in planning area you did not only add the time series key figures
    to the planning area but also defined key figure semantics for those
    key figures. This must not be. To see those semantics you can check
    the key figure details in transaction /SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN on the
    key figure tab by selecting key figure details. For the time series
    keyfigures, the semantics column is filled with values like 300, 301,
    etc. If you wants to use time series key figures in addition
    to the standard SNP-key figures, the semantics field has to be empty.
    You can compare that with the settings in the other planning area where
    everything is working fine.
    If this is not the case then please refer the below note and execute the consistency reports as in note:
    577038     Data inconsistencies in SNP

    Sunitha.

    I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

    bug fix for watson 2887837 Not getting duplicate session detected error when same flex client id is used from two different HTTP sessions in CRX.
    get the sessions id before we invalidate the duplicate session.
    Checkintests pass
    Modified Paths:
        blazeds/trunk/modules/core/src/flex/messaging/endpoints/BaseHTTPEndpoint.java

    For our profect I think this issue was caused as follows:
    Believing that remoting was full asynchronous we fired a 2 or 3 remote calls to the server at the same time ( within the same function ) - usually when the users goes to a new section of the app.
    This seemed to trigger the duplicate http session error since according to http://blogs.adobe.com/lin/2011/05/duplication-session-error.html  two remote calls arriving before a session is created will cause 2 sessions to be created.
    Our current solution ( too early to say it works ) is to daisy chain the multiple calls together .
    Also there seemed to be an issue where mobile apps that never quit ( thanks Apple! )  caused the error when activated after a few hours.
    I guess the session expires on the server and the error above occurs on activation.
    So the mobile apps now ping the server with a remote call when activated after sleeping for more than one hour.
    All duplicate http errors are silently caught and reported.
    Fingers crossed we won't get any more!

  • Secure zone - ERROR: The payment gateway that you are using does not support recurring payments

    So I want to sell a product that is made up of 4 downloadable products. (Totalling ~ 200meg)
    The only way I have found is to sell membership to a secure area where the files are linked.
    When I create the secure zone, I want a one-time-fee, but the system says:
    "ERROR: The payment gateway that you are using does not support recurring payments"
    The payment isn't recurring!
    Micah

    "Note that you have to use seamless gateway to process such payments."
    Right, but that's the problem, we're not usiong a seamless gateway and thus we get the error.  Again, the system should note that we're doing a one-time charge and not throw the seamless gateway error.

  • Aggregation in IR works incorrectly when breaks on computed cols are used

    I have a problem with aggregation in IR when breaks on computed cols are used.
    Please see exact steps to reproduce the problem in my next post bellow
    Martin
    Edited by: Martin Krepelka on Oct 22, 2008 11:18 AM

    Hi Joel,
    here are exact steps to reproduce the problem:
    1. Suppose you have "General Ledger" table with 500,000 rows.
    2. Create page with IR for this one.
    3. Run page and set filter to display data for only one specific account. Suppose you've got now 500 rows on screen.
    4. Create new computation "Posting month" from "Posting date" column. The "Posting Month" shows "Posting Date" column in RRRR/MM format.
    5. Hide "Posting Date" column
    6. Make break on "Posting Month" column.
    7. Create new aggregation on "Ammount" column. For example create an count for this column.
    As a result you can now see 500 rows divided to separate groups by "Posting Month". Each group contains number of rows. But the count aggregation show only 1 in each goup. Similar problem rise when you use other aggregation functions (sum, min, max ...)
    When I change report to break data for NON computed column everything goes OK.
    I also examined that the problem does'nt depend on number of rows in the table as I supposed in my previous post.
    You can examine the problem in my test application here:
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=47777:1
    All necessary IR settings to reproduce the problem are saved as default report settings. So if necessary, please do report reset first.

  • JSP Compile Error when using dynamic ID in logic:iterate and bean:size

    Hello,
    I try to create a dynamic table with logic:iterate and bean:size tag. Dynamic means the attributes are written by scriptlet. Eg.:
    <logic:iterate id="customerBean" name="<%= formName %>"  property="<%= propertyName%>" length="<%= sRowSize%>">When I replace the id Attribute with propertyName I get compile errors, such as
    the compiler doesn't know the value at runtime:
    Unable to compile class for JSP An error occurred at line: 179 in the jsp file: /pages/formContent.jsp Generated servlet error: _newCustomer.java:1046: Missing term. java.lang.Object <%= propertyName %> = null; ^
    Whats wrong ?
    Thanks for your help

    Solution: don't use a runtime expression for the id attribute.
    The id attribute is used to declare
    - an attribute in scope
    - a scriptlet variable on the page
    These are only available for the duration of the <logic:iterate> tag
    The "id" is only used in your programming. You don't need to make it dynamic.
