I am attempting to build a video juke box that allows the
user to select from a scrollable list of titles for playback. I
have a FLV skin set up and I am now trying to wire up a List
component and get the following error at compile time - 1093:
Syntax error.

make sure you are using 32 bit Java JDK. Check that your systems variables CLASSPATH, JAVA_HOME are pointing to correct 32 bit Java JDK folder (e.g. CLASSPATH=C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.8.0_25 and JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.8.0_25). Also make sure you have 32 bit Java JDK's "bin" folder in your system's variable PATH.

ShObjIdl.h compile error when including Photoshop SDK header?

I develop photoshop plugins on both Mac 10.6 and Windows 7, now my code has been built and run successfully on Mac, but on Windows there are curious compile errors in a file "ShObjIdl.h", this is a Windows SDK header file. ( my VC++ version is 2010 ). It seems including some adobe SDK header file will cause the error. Is there someone who had met this? I guess some macro define conflicts.

did your program work ok under 10.3.6? Is it just Tiger that gives the problem?
I have not used xmlrpc but I have used Pro*C on OS X with no probelms.
Where did the xmlrpc.h you are using come from? I could not find it on OS X on either Tiger or Panther. However I do find an xmlrpc.cp and a make file so I assume you would include a shared library from it in the make file for your program to be able to make the xmlrpc calls you need to.
In general, the include files are in sub directories of /System/Library/Frameworks and it would be worth a grep -r for the declarations you want to include and put the path in the include parameter to proc.

Class Compilation Error in Upgrade

Hello,
I have upgraded classes written in 4.6c to ECC 6.0 and receive a compilation error saying:
'INCLUDE report "Z_CLASS_ NAME========CL" not found'
Here the name of the public class is "Z_CLASS_NAME".
Any clues as to how to resolve this error?

The report "Z_CLASS_ NAME========CL" is the INCLUDE name of your class. The compilation error may be due to a missing entry in table TMDIR holding all the include names of classes. Also, keep in mind that SAP has changed the organisation of class includes in newer release. For example, on 4.6c you need to write makros within the methods where they were used. On ERP 6.0 we have a separate section for coding makros.
Can you change you class in SE24? If so then I would recommend to make a few trivial changes (description, adding empty lines in methods and private section containing data definitions) and try to regenerate the class. If this does not work you may check the menus of SE24 for repair options.
The 2 last resorts would be:
(1) Copy (or rename) the class -> delete the class -> copy back to Z_CLASS_NAME
(2) Enter missing entries in TMDIR manually

Jsp:include directives compilation errors

hi,
we have lot of <%@ include file="" %> files in out jsp page. when we trying to change this to <jsp:include page="" %>. we r getting lot of comilation errors
The file size is increasing more than 64mb.
Can u tell how to contain them within 64mb .

The stack trace isn't very indicative of whatever problem you may be having.
However, there is a major difference between <%@ include %> and <jsp:include />. The include directive <%@ include %> slams the content of the included resource into your JSP at compilation time, it is "static". No individual evaluation of the included resource is done, it becomes a part of the JSP that included it.
<jsp:include /> is a dynamic include--it is evaluated at run-time. The content of the included resource is accessed and written to the output stream with the JSP is accessed. If the included content is a JSP, it is compiled and accessed as a separate servlet.
So, it looks like your included JSPs do not qualify as valid, standalone JSPs. Typically, this is because of some dependency on variables or beans declared in the including JSP.

How do I add an included jsp to my project and not get a compile error?

I have a project with some included jsp's however if I add them to the project, when I build I get a compile error as the jsp uses variables from the calling jsp.
Any ideas on how to get round this.

There are two main ways that I deal with this problem (yeah, it sucks, but it sort of makes sense that it happens...) (I presume you're talking static include here...)
#1 - name the included file with an extension that JDev will not try to compile (.jspf - for JSP Fragment - is common) Then it will be compiled in with the including page, but won't gag the project compilation. Advantage - it works, and you find out at compile time if you hosed up the variable reference. Disadvantage: JDev tries really, really, really hard to keep you from naming a JSP file with an extension of .jspf I normally create the .jsp file in JDev, remove it from the project, rename the file outside of JDeveloper, then add it back to the project - pain in the butt, but it works (and you probably aren't building scads of these included files...)
#2 - add the variable to be referenced to the pageContext implicit object as an attribute in your including page (ex, <% pageContext.setAttribute("myVar", myVar); %>), then reference that attribute in your included JSP (ex, <%= pageContext.getAttribute("myVar") %>) . It will compile fine (as the compiler has no way of knowing if the pageContext attribute actually exists, it just sees that the syntax is good and motors along merrily. Advantage: don't have to have differently named JSP files (which isn't actually a big deal). Disadvantage: You hvae to add the variable to the pageContext (and you have to always add Object derivatives, as primitives won't go into a hash) and you don't find out if you screwed the variable up until runtime (when it tries the getAttribute, which could return null if you didn't properly set it to start with) vs at compile-time w/ the direct reference.

I'm totally new to C#. I'm trying to modify existing code to automatically rename a file if exists. I found a solution online as follows:

HT3669 My Epson RX510 is included in the list of printers supported but on attempting to download the drivers using the method advised, I get an error message "... the software is currently unavailable. Please contact the printer's manufacturer ....".

My (old) Epson RX510 multifunction printer is included in the list of printers supported by Apple, but on following the procedure advised for downloading the printer drivers for Mountain Lion and/or Lion I get the error message " the printer software is currently unavailable and to contact the printer manufacturer. However on going to the Epson web site I get the message to go to the Apple web site as all printer drivers have been covered in the Mountain Lion software updates.
Can anyone please advise what is going on when the said printer is shown as being included in Apple's list of software included in Mountain Lion and Lion software updates?

What's with "Invalid Embed directive in stylesheet - can't resolve source" compile errors

Quite often I notice that I get lots compile errors like "Invalid Embed directive in stylesheet - can't resolve source 'Embed("assets/icons/cancelOnWhite_12x12.png")'. line 165 application.css"
ONLY when there are other compile errors. As soon as I fix these other errors, all "Invalid Embed directive" errors disappear.
Obviously these errors should never show in the first place, and I wonder if this is a known problem with an existing bug report?

No. Will keep you posted if I get anything.
I also want to clarify one thing: Design view reports embed errors as well. If you are seeing an error from design view, you should be able to see the "problem" go away and come back when you hit refresh in Design view.
Can you confirm if this is that? If that is so, we've taken care of it in the upcoming release.

Compile Errors occured when simulink models including 'cmex' by SIT

I am trying to compile a simulink model to DLL with following softwares and hardwares.
Software:
LabVIEW 8.0.1
LabVIEW Realtime 8.0.1
Simulation Interface Toolkit 3.0
MATLAB R13
Visual C++ 6.0 Service Pack 4
Target Hardware:
PXI-1042RTPXI-8196
PXI-6289
When I tried to compile a model including 'cmex' function on Simulink to DLL, compile error about Visual C++ occured. Does SIT support the model including 'cmex' functions?
When I removed the function 'cmex', compiling is working correctly.
To import original model which is written by C or other language, I strongly want to use 'cmex' functions. To avoid the compile error, if you have any ideas, please let me know.

I believe that it is possible to compile a DLL for SIT from a model that contains a cmex function.
To tell whether the issue is caused by SIT or not, you can try changing the RTW target file from nidll.tlc to grt.tlc (in the model's Simulation Parameters dialog, look in the Real-Time Workshop tab), and see whether the compile error still happens. If the compiler error occurs with grt.tlc, then please refer to the documentation provided by The MathWorks Inc. on how to get your cmex functions to work in Real-Time Workshop®.
If the compiler error does not occur with grt.tlc, then please post the whole text of the compiler error.

Compiler Include Directive

Is there an equivalent to the include directive? I don't mean the import statement, I mean the include directive such as available in many other languages that will place the contents of a file inline with the java source.
Basically, just like the JSP include. I have a program of about 100 servlets and parts of the code is exactly the same in every servlet.
The code is too small to create a seperate class and call it from every servlet and I'd consider it needless overhead.
I've gotten most of the functionality by creating an interface and implementing and using final variables but I have blocks of code that I want inserted inline at different places within some methods. final is okay for variables but I need to insert lines of code, which final won't work for.

Why not just have all the servlets be subclasses of some servlet class that includes that common code as a method?

2. Put all source code and error messages in "code" tags, as you did with the list of patches. The non-alphanumeric characters in source code and messages can be interpreted as formatting directives instead of being displayed. The result is often nonsense or is hard to read.
Notes on the command line:
1. The -xO0 option is not supported, and has unpredictable results. If you do not want optimization because you want to debug the code, use either no -xOn option, or use -xO1. Using no option is generally preferred: compilation is faster, and the generated code is usually better than with -xO1.
2. The -pto (-instances=static) option is generally a really bad idea. Unless you have a specific reason why you need this template compilation mode, you should remove the -pto option from all command lines (to use the default -instances=global mode), delete all your binaries, and rebuild the application.
Neither of these problems causes the error message, however.
What could be wrong
Also on the command line is a macro definition that appears to be -D_RWCONFIG_m
Is that the correct rendering of the option? If not, please show the command line again inside "code" tags.
I'm concerned that you are trying to override a configuration macro for libCstd, the C++ runtime library. Doing so is not supported and has unpredictable results. If -D_RWCONFIG_m is what is really on the command line, it will not cause a problem with the library.
Except for the possible macro definition issue, finding the problem will require looking at the source code. Since the error message refers to one of the compiler's own headers, the most likely possibilities are
1. A bug in the headers that might be fixed in a later patch -- 124863-23 is not the most recent patch.
2. An error in your code that worked only by accident before. I'm thinking of an inappropriate macro definition.
If you strip everything out of the temip_ef_user_library.cxx file after all the #include directives, you should be able to compile the resulting file and see the same error message. If so, please post that small file here (inside "code" tags).

Compiler error: Missing JSP library?

I am really new at this, and I know that I'm making some sort of simple mistake.
I have an existing application running on a 9i middle tier. I want to make a couple of simple changes to a .JSP. So I downloaded the EAR file, loaded it into JDeveloper (10.1.3.0.4 SU4), made my changes and tried to run it locally. I got 241 compiler errors. So I reverted to the original EAR, and I still get 241 compiler errors.
The errors are:
Error(1,5): illegal forward reference
Error(1,14): duplicate definition of class _index
Error(1,48): HttpJsp not found in class _index
Error(1,62): method getPageContext(_index, javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest, javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse, null, boolean, int, boolean) not found in class javax.servlet.jsp.JspFactory

So, I read the forums, etc and decided that I need ojsp.jar included in my project libraries. So I went to libraries under project properties, and I already have "Jsp Runtime" as my first library and it claims to include ojsp.jar. I've tried removing and re-adding the library, adding other libraries ("J2EE","Servlet Runtime","OC4J Deployment Plugin"...), and a dozen other things, none of which have allowed my to compile.
Any ideas on what I should do?

compiler is complaining because you do not have a
return statement at the end of your method.

It seems that issue is related to certificate. Could you please upload certificate to central admin and make it trust.
