Complete a specific field of table BSEG

Hello Experts,
I need to complete the field BSEG-VBELN with the billing number for all the document items when I 'm creating the Invoice Accountind Document . Actually the system complete this field only for the customer account. Do you know if there is a USER EXIT to complete this field at the moment of the Invoice Accounting Document Creation?

and a mail will be sent to the concerned

IT CAN ALSO GIVE, The Old Value, And The New Value.
2. This Mechanism is called CHANGE DOCUMENTS in
   SAP Terminology
3. 2 Fuction Modules are Required.
   (They will fetch necessary data from CDHDR,CDPOS)
CHANGEDOCUMENT_READ_HEADERS
CHANGEDOCUMENT_READ_POSITIONS
4. The First FM gives list of all
   records ( with change no) which have changed.
5. Loop at the above and the second FM will
   provide the details (old-val, new-val) for
   each record.
6. While using 1st Fm, give docclass as 'MATERIAL'.
   BCOS
   the concept of change documents is applicable
   to other type of documents also (depends upon
customization)

How to update specific fields of a db table using MODIFY

Hi all.
I understand that MODIFY allows us to insert a record into the database if the a record with the same key is not there. If a record is there, it would update that record.
However, when the record is there, could i update SPECIFIC fields of the record, instead of updating ALL fields of the record?

Yes, you can with exception that you can not modify primary key values.
Here are the details about MODIFY db table command with examples
MODIFY - Change a database table

MODIFY dbtab FROM TABLE itab. or   MODIFY (dbtabname) FROM TABLE itab.
MODIFY dbtab VERSION vers. or   MODIFY *dbtab VERSION vers.
Effect
Inserts new lines or updates existing lines in a database table (s. relational database). If a line with the specified primary key already exists, an UPDATE is executed. Otherwise, an INSERT is performed. You can specify the name of the database table either in the program itself in the form MODIFY dbtab ... or at runtime as the contents of the field dbtabname in the form MODIFY (dbtabname) ... . In both cases, the database table must be defined in the ABAP Dictionary. If the program contains the name of the database table, it must also have a corresponding TABLES statement. Normally, records are inserted or updated only in the current client. Data can only be inserted or updated using a view, if the view refers to a single table and was created in the ABAP Dictionary with the maintenance status "No restriction".
MODIFY belongs to the Open SQL command set.
When the statement has been executed, the system field SY-DBCNT contains the number of edited lines.
The Return code is set as follows:
SY-SUBRC = 0:
    All lines were successfully inserted or updated.
SY-SUBRC = 4:
    One or more lines could not be inserted or updated.
Notes
   1. You cannot modify a line if there is already a line in the table with identical key field values in a UNIQUE index.
   2. Automatic definition of INSERT and UPDATE is expensive. You should therefore use MODIFY only if you cannot define the INSERT and UPDATE cases yourself in the program.
   3. Since the MODIFY statement does not perform authority checks, you have to program them yourself.
   4. Adding or changing lines with the MODIFY command is only completed after a database commit (see LUW) has been performed. Before the database commit has been performed, any database changes can be reversed with a database rollback (see Programming transactions).
   5. Synchronization of simultanous accesses by several users to the same set of data cannot be exclusively achieved with the lock mechanism of the database system. In several cases, you are recommended to use the SAP lock mechanism.

These stipulate that the name must begin with 'T' and may contain up to four further characters. The field vers must contain the table name without the leading 'T'. Only lines in the current client are inserted or updated. The line to be inserted is taken from the statically specified table work area dbtab or *dbtab.
SY-SUBRC is set to 0 if the line is successfully inserted or updated. SY-SUBRC <> 0 is not possible since any other result causes a runtime error.

JSF Table StyleClass issue for a specific Field inside the Table

Am having an issue of dynamically setting the styleClass for a specific field inside a DataTable. Here is how the JSF code is ..

This Table has a specific column which has a input Text Box where user enter's data. This data will be validated in the bean where in after the validation if its exceeding a limit we should throw an error message and also highlight the field with a specific styleClass.
I am setting the StyleClass dynamically based on the User Input, so that I can display a highlited Error Field on the screen. Strangely enough, styleclass is getting set as expected for the first submit but doesnt show any styles for further submits. Even the existing style is getting removed from the second submit onwards. I am setting this "customStleClass" dynamic parameter as a Bean Property. Am sure these values are properly set coz to make sure I have put an h:output tag inside that table to display the customStyleClass values and they are getting set as expected but I see blank value for the class="" in the source of the Page.
Any help would be appreciated.

One option is you find the data element of that field GUID.
Now go to SE11 transaction and in data type put that data element and press where used list. In that select tables.
This will give you a list of tables where that field is used.
But again if there are lots of them it will be difficult to find.
The only option in that case is debug the extractor and find out.

How to populate customer specific field data in table /SAPAPO/ORDFLDS

I have explained in detail about the problem we face. I guess persons who has implemented enhancement: /SAPAPO/RRP_IO_COL in their system can help me out.
Background:
Purchase requisitions in APO is created by an idoc that comes from a legacy system using BAPI CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_POSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3'.
Business Requirement:
I have a business requirement where I need to populate an additional data 'Original delivery date' from the idoc during PR creation in Product view.
Development:
To achieve the above requirement, we are following the below procedure in our development system.
1. We are using enhancement: /SAPAPO/RRP_IO_COL, method: RRP_USEX_COLS_FILL_01 and RRP_USEX_COLS_GET_TEXT_01 to display an additional field 'Original delivery date' in /sapapo/rrp3 - elements view. This field is restricted to Purchase requisition (Order category: AG) only. We are planning to populate the additional data 'Original delivery date' in this customer specific field and store it in table: /SAPAPO/ORDFLDS at the time of PR creation.
2. Table: /SAPAPO/ORDFLDS is appended with the 'customer specific field'.
3. We couldnt find a document on how the data can be populated in table /SAPAPO/ORDFLDS.
4. How to polulate the live cache data in the table '/APAPO/ORDFLDS' ? ( i.e using connection parameter )?

We have requirement to display the orders based on Profit center or Profit center groups in report painter. So in report library(6O1), we want to add fieild PRCTR or any customer specific field(ZPRCTR) to CCSS table. Could you please let us know how to add field ?
or is possible to add customer specific field(ZPRCTR) in CCSS and link that field to Profit Cetner(PRCTR) and profit center group.

How to remove fields from view V_QCMBSEG for table BSEG

Hi
By mistake have appended 5 fields in standard table BSEG, after that i have deleted that appended structure from table, while deleting from different views network got disconnected i lost connection from server.
So process get terminated and those fields left in view V_QCMBSEG.
Because of this table partially activated.... is there any way to delete it

When I go to FB03, i see the amount as 2.00-

the amount is always stored with absulte value, the sign is defined by SHKZG (Debit/Credit Indicator).
SHKZG = S => SIGN = +
SHKZG = H => SIGN = -
So
IF BSEG-SHKZG = 'H'.
BSEG-WRBTR = BSEG-WRBTR * -1.
ENDIF.

Customer specific field table T77OMATTR

Hi guys.
SRM 4.0, server 5.0.
I have added an attribute to use in the PPOMA. My attribute is for the tax jurisdiction code, besides this extra attribute I have added a customer specific field to the SC. But which function modules should I use to fill the customer field with my attribute, any ideas? I would believe that everytime you enter a new attribute in the table, you would also have to do some coding before it can work, right?

FM: RFC_READ_TABLE is a RF FM so by providing BW system's RF destination you can get the values from required table.

Hi Tina,
You can sort the table as already mentioned, or if you want it always kept in a key sequence you could define it as a sorted table something like this:
types:
begin of itabline,
field1 type c,
field2 type n,
field3 ....
end of itabline.
DATA itab TYPE sorted table of itabline WITH UNIQUE key field1.
You can then insert and read entries by the key fields.

You will need to group that radiobuttons so that SAP knows they are linked together. To do this using the grahical layout editor simply select all the radiobuttons and then right click on them, Now choose define group. Once you have done this you should not need any of the "clear" or "='X'" statements SAP should control it all for you.

U have to decide how many fields can be used to sort the table: in my example I suppose the user can use max 3 fields in the same time.
The ALV use this way to sort the table.

you are doing the export with a non-unicode SAP codepage. The codepage has to be 4102/4103 (see note #552464 for details). There is a screen in the sapinst dialogues that allows the change of the codepage. 1100 is the default in some sapinst versions.
