  • Customer specific field table T77OMATTR

    Hi guys.
    SRM 4.0, server 5.0.
I have added an attribute to use in the PPOMA. My attribute is for the tax jurisdiction code, besides this extra attribute I have added a customer specific field to the SC. But which function modules should I use to fill the customer field with my attribute, any ideas? I would believe that everytime you enter a new attribute in the table, you would also have to do some coding before it can work, right?
    Thanks

Creating a new custom attributes in org structure
First take a look at this forum post regarding your questions - the thread has relevant info for you:
FM for attribute's value assignation in PPOMA ?
    <u>Regarding your specific queries</u>:
    Can you automate replication?
Yes - it can be automated. Post processing BADIs exist in the IDOC to allow you to perform your actions.
    <u>What are the tables?</u>
Well not that you are ever to directly read or update these tables, but they are HR info type tables. Examples would be HRP1222, HRP1000, etc. If you really want to the table that has the attribute value see table HRT1222. Again look only - never develop a program to read/update these tables.
As mentioned in the forum thread above use the function modules BBP_READ_ATTRIBUTES/BBP_UPDATE_ATTRIBUTES.
<b>Do let me know, incase you need more details.</b>

    Dear Raghu,
refer the note 1045888 for introducing SECESS in the table
    J_2iaccbal.
    For ECS do the following:
Here are the STEP BY STEP instructions...
    for table J_2iaccbal
    Go to se11
Put the table in database table
    Change
select the field REGISTER/J_2IREGELE double click on J_2IREGELE.
You will then be able to see the Domain J_2IREGDOM
    Double click on this J_2IREGDOM
You will then be able to see a tab called "Value range"
Here there is a column called "Fixed values", here you enter the following
    "RG23AECS
    RG23CECS

  • SAP Cloud Application Studio Make Account All Tabs fields/Table Entry readonly

    Hi Experts,
I have urgent requirement with the below scenario.
Scenario : In Account have flag Prospect if this flag check then all the fields under "Header" and all Tabs(ADDRESSES , SALES DATA etc) fields are editable.
But if the flag is unchecked then under "Header" all fields are non editable and under the Tabs we want to disable the Add New record (Under ADDRESSES tab Add button want to be disable)
kindly refer the above figure in that the Prospect Flag is uncheck so all fields under Header are read only But i also want to disable the "Add" , "New" function under the all Tabs as mentioned in the above screen.
    Kindly suggest me.
    Many thanks
    Mithun

    Hi Mithun,
This is not going to be easy as this is a standard screen, but you can try this approach
Add a custom Field of type indicator and set this indicator to True when you unchek the prospect check box in after modify.
You can define the property read-only of your fields( which you need to disable) with the value as bound to this Custom Indicator you added.
You can also do the same using the UI Switch instead of modifying the standard configuration. But disabling the Action Add, I think is not possible unless SAP gives you an anchor to hide it by setting the Button property

  • Hiding specification in Result recording Screen

Is it possible to hide specifications of characteristics in Result Recording screen. this is to prevent end user manipulating observed values as he shouyld not see tolerances. he only should see characteristics description and enter values. But master data will be avilable with specifications. This restriction should be there for particular roles only. all others should have normal screen during alla ctivity.
    Thanks.
    Jaison

    Hello Jaison,
Please try using the Table setting which is available in the result recording screen. You  can create a variant and make the specification field as invisible. Please take the help of ABAP and Basis and explore the possibility for the same.

  • How to update specific fields of a db table using MODIFY

    Hi all.
I understand that MODIFY allows us to insert a record into the database if the a record with the same key is not there. If a record is there, it would update that record.
However, when the record is there, could i update SPECIFIC fields of the record, instead of updating ALL fields of the record?

Yes, you can with exception that you can not modify primary key values.
Here are the details about MODIFY db table command with examples
MODIFY - Change a database table
    Variants:
MODIFY dbtab. or   MODIFY *dbtab. or
      MODIFY (dbtabname) ... .
MODIFY dbtab FROM TABLE itab. or   MODIFY (dbtabname) FROM TABLE itab.
MODIFY dbtab VERSION vers. or   MODIFY *dbtab VERSION vers.
    Effect
Inserts new lines or updates existing lines in a database table (s. relational database). If a line with the specified primary key already exists, an UPDATE is executed. Otherwise, an INSERT is performed. You can specify the name of the database table either in the program itself in the form MODIFY dbtab ... or at runtime as the contents of the field dbtabname in the form MODIFY (dbtabname) ... . In both cases, the database table must be defined in the ABAP Dictionary. If the program contains the name of the database table, it must also have a corresponding TABLES statement. Normally, records are inserted or updated only in the current client. Data can only be inserted or updated using a view, if the view refers to a single table and was created in the ABAP Dictionary with the maintenance status "No restriction".
MODIFY belongs to the Open SQL command set.
When the statement has been executed, the system field SY-DBCNT contains the number of edited lines.
The Return code is set as follows:
    SY-SUBRC = 0:
All lines were successfully inserted or updated.
    SY-SUBRC = 4:
One or more lines could not be inserted or updated.
    Notes
       1. You cannot modify a line if there is already a line in the table with identical key field values in a UNIQUE index.
       2. Automatic definition of INSERT and UPDATE is expensive. You should therefore use MODIFY only if you cannot define the INSERT and UPDATE cases yourself in the program.
       3. Since the MODIFY statement does not perform authority checks, you have to program them yourself.
       4. Adding or changing lines with the MODIFY command is only completed after a database commit (see LUW) has been performed. Before the database commit has been performed, any database changes can be reversed with a database rollback (see Programming transactions).
       5. Synchronization of simultanous accesses by several users to the same set of data cannot be exclusively achieved with the lock mechanism of the database system. In several cases, you are recommended to use the SAP lock mechanism.
    Variant 1
    MODIFY dbtab. or
    MODIFY *dbtab. or
    MODIFY (dbtabname) ... .
    Extras:
    ... FROM wa
    ... CLIENT SPECIFIED
See Cannot Use Short Forms and
    Cannot Use *Work Areas.
    Effect
Inserts a new line or updates an existing line in a database table. If you specify the name of the database table yourself, the primary key for identifying the line to be inserted or updated and the relevant values are taken from the table work area dbtab or *dbtab (see TABLES). If you declare the name of the database table explicitly, the program must also contain a corresponding TABLES statement. If the name of the database table is not determined until runtime, you need to use the addition ... FROM wa.
    Example
Insert or change data of the customer Robinson in the current client:
    TABLES SCUSTOM.
    SCUSTOM-ID        = '12400177'.
    SCUSTOM-NAME      = 'Robinson'.
    SCUSTOM-POSTCODE  = '69542'.
    SCUSTOM-CITY      = 'Heidelberg'.
    SCUSTOM-CUSTTYPE  = 'P'.
    SCUSTOM-DISCOUNT  = '003'.
    SCUSTOM-TELEPHONE = '06201/44889'.
    MODIFY SCUSTOM.
    Addition 1
    ... FROM wa
    Effect
The values for the line to be inserted or updated are not taken from the table work area dbtab, but from the explicitly specified work area wa. When doing this, the data is read from left to right according to the structure of the table work area dbtab (see TABLES). Since the structure of wa is not taken into account, the work area wa must be at least as wide (see DATA) as the table work area dbtab and the alignment of the work area wa must correspond to the alignment of the table work area. Otherwise, a runtime error occurs.
    Note
If a work area is not explicitly specified, the values for the line to be inserted or updated are also taken from the table work area dbtab if the statement is in a FORM or FUNCTION where the table work area is stored in a formal parameter or local variable of the same name.
    Addition 2
    ... CLIENT SPECIFIED
    Effect
Switches off automatic client handling. This allows you to edit data across all clients even when dealing with client-specific tables. The client field is treated like a normal table field that can be programmed to accept values in the table work area dbtab or *dbtab where the line to be edited occurs.
The addition CLIENT SPECIFIED must be specified immediately after the name of the database table.
    Variant 2
    MODIFY dbtab FROM TABLE itab.or
    MODIFY (dbtabname) FROM TABLE itab.
    Addition:
    ... CLIENT SPECIFIED
    Effect
Mass modify: Inserts new lines or updates existing lines of a database table. The primary keys for identifying the lines to be inserted or updated and the relevant values are taken from the internal table itab. The lines of the internal table itab must satisfy the same conditions as the work area wa in addition 1 to variant 1.
    Note
If the internal table itab is empty, SY-SUBRC and SY-DBCNT are set to 0.
    Addition
    ... CLIENT SPECIFIED
    Effect
    As for variant 1.
    Variant 3
    MODIFY dbtab VERSION vers. or
    MODIFY *dbtab VERSION vers.
See Cannot Use the VERSION Addition.
    Note
    This variant is obsolete.
    Effect
Inserts a new line or updates an existing line in a database table, the name of which is taken from the field vers at runtime. If no line exists with the specified primary key, an INSERT is executed. Otherwise, an UPDATE is performed. The database table must be defined in the ABAP/4 Dictionary and its name must conform to the naming conventions for R/2 ATAB tables. These stipulate that the name must begin with 'T' and may contain up to four further characters. The field vers must contain the table name without the leading 'T'. Only lines in the current client are inserted or updated. The line to be inserted is taken from the statically specified table work area dbtab or *dbtab.
SY-SUBRC is set to 0 if the line is successfully inserted or updated. SY-SUBRC <> 0 is not possible since any other result causes a runtime error.
    Hope this helps.

  • ABAP - Saving data to a table after pressing 'TAB' on a specific field?

In ABAP programming for a custom SAP program, I was wondering if it is possible to trigger a SAVE action to occur when pressing the TAB key instead of the ENTER key.
For example, I have 3 input fields -- Material, Serial Number, and Quantity. I enter a Material, press TAB to get to the next field, enter a Serial Number, press TAB to get to the Quantity field, then I enter a Quantity and I must press ENTER in order for the input Material, Serial Number and Quantity to be written to the custom table.
What I need is to be able to press a "TAB" on the Quantity field instead of an "ENTER", and therefore override the normal TAB behavior only on that 'Quantity' field so that I get an "ENTER" behavior, and my record is saved. Is this possible in ABAP?
The reason I need that TAB to behave like and ENTER on the Quantity field is because we have barcode scanners with a keypad. These barcode scanners have a design flaw in that  sending a specific command after keypad entry is extremely limited. For my company's specific requirements, the scanner will only allow the TAB command to be sent from the scanner after entering a Quantity. Since only a TAB can be sent, I need the TAB command to be able to write the record to the table, and return me to then next "Material" input field.

Thanks all. I appreciate your replies. The reply from Prasoon Sahay gave me an idea. Ideally, I would like the TAB on the last Quantity field to be able to save the record and return back to the first Material input field. But instead, I will have to keep the TAB on the Quantity field, and then scan an extra code that sends a Control S, and that will save the record. It is not the most elegant solution, but it will work.

  • Addition of user defined fields in Results Recording screen (QE01)

    HI All,
We've a business requirement to add user defined fields in results recording screen (Character Overview screen - QE01), so that the user will enter data in user defined fields during results recording. and the data entered in user defined fields should be saved in data base table along with actual results given by the user in order to retrieve data for reporting purpose.
Please suggest valuable solutions to acheive the requirement.
    Thanks & regards,

    Hi Sujit,
    Thanks for your reply,
We've tried using the " QEEM0029 User-Exit for Characteristic Overview Subscreen , however with "QEEM0029"  exit, we are only able to add fields to the characteristics overview screen and there is no provision in this exit to save the data entered in the user fields to a table (QALS,QAMR, QASE).
    Please suggest!

  • Understanding logminer results -- inserting row into table with CLOB field

In using log miner I have noticed that inserts into rows that contain a CLOB (I assume this applies to other LOB type fields as well, have only tested with CLOB so far) field are actually recorded as two DML entries.
--the first entry is the insert operation that inserts all values with an EMPTY_CLOB() for the CLOB field
--the second entry is the update that sets the actual CLOB value (+this is true even if the value of the CLOB field is not being set explicitly+)
This separation makes sense as there may be separate locations that the values are being stored etc.
However, what I am tripping over is the fact the first entry, the Insert, has a RowId value of 'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA' which is invalid if I attempt to use it in a flashback query such as:
SELECT * FROM PERSON AS OF SCN #####'  where RowId = 'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA'The second operation, the Update of the CLOB field, has the valid RowId.
Now, again, this makes sense if the insert of the new row is not really considered "+done+" until the two steps are done. However, is there some way to group these operations together when analyzing the log contents to know that these two operations are a "+matched set+"?
Not a total deal breaker, but would be nice to know what is happening under the hood here so I don't act on any false assumptions.
    Thanks for any input.

    Scott,
    Thanks for the reply.
I am inserting into the table over a database link.
I am using the new version of HTML Db (2.0)
HTML Db is connected to an Oracle 10 database I think, however the table I am trying to insert data into (via the database link) is in an Oracle 8 database - this is why we created a link to it as we couldn't have the HTML Db interacting with the Oracle 8 database directly due to compatibility problems (or so I've been told)

  • Hide specification column in result recording at plant level

    Hi,
There is an requirement to hide specification column in result recording screen at plant level.
By table control we can hide the specification column but the setting is at user level or client level.
Is there any standard procedure to hide specification column at plant level.
    Regards
    Amol

    Dear Amol,
Try this if works for you.
    1.     Go to QA32
    2.     Select an inspection lot
    3.     Click on results
    4.     Here you will get the specification column along with RR column
    5.     Reduce the width of specification column just like we do in Microsoft excel by dragging it from right to left until it disappears
    6.     At the right hand side you find a small table like symbol. When you move your mouse pointer towards it, it reflects as Configuration.
    7.     Click it
    8.     Give suitable name to variant and save
    This is user ID specific.

  • How would you order an internal table e.g. itab according a specific field

    Hello
How would you order an internal table e.g. itab according a specific field?
Would you be so kind and let me see an mini example
    Thank you in advance

    Hi Tina,
You can sort the table as already mentioned, or if you want it always kept in a key sequence you could define it as a sorted table something like this:
    types:
    begin of itabline,
    field1  type c,
    field2  type n,
    field3  ....
    end of itabline.
DATA itab TYPE sorted table of itabline WITH UNIQUE key field1.
You can then insert and read entries by the key fields.
Hope that helps as an option!

  • JSF Table StyleClass issue for a specific Field inside the Table

    Hi There,
Am having an issue of dynamically setting the styleClass for a specific field inside a DataTable. Here is how the JSF code is ..
    <h:column>
    <h:panelGrid id="column4" columns="1" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
    <h:inputText id="numberOfApps" value="#{row.submitNumber}" styleClass="#{row.customStyleClass}" maxlength="6" converter="MyNumberConverter" />
    </h:panelGrid>
    </h:column>
This Table has a specific column which has a input Text Box where user enter's data. This data will be validated in the bean where in after the validation if its exceeding a limit we should throw an error message and also highlight the field with a specific styleClass.
I am setting the StyleClass dynamically based on the User Input, so that I can display a highlited Error Field on the screen. Strangely enough, styleclass is getting set as expected for the first submit but doesnt show any styles for further submits. Even the existing style is getting removed from the second submit onwards. I am setting this "customStleClass" dynamic parameter as a Bean Property. Am sure these values are properly set coz to make sure I have put an h:output tag inside that table to display the customStyleClass values and they are getting set as expected but I see blank value for the class="" in the source of the Page.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
Edited by: Lalith on Jan 14, 2008 10:23 AM

One option is you find the data element of that field GUID.
Now go to SE11 transaction and in data type put that data element and press where used list. In that select tables.
This will give you a list of tables where that field is used.
But again if there are lots of them it will be difficult to find.
The only option in that case is debug the extractor and find out.

  • How to populate customer specific field data in table /SAPAPO/ORDFLDS

    Dear Gurus,
I have explained in detail about the problem we face. I guess persons who has implemented enhancement:  /SAPAPO/RRP_IO_COL in their system can help me out.
    Background:
Purchase requisitions in APO is created by an idoc that comes from a legacy system using BAPI CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_POSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3'.
    Business Requirement:
I have a business requirement where I need to populate an additional data 'Original delivery date' from the idoc during PR creation in Product view.
    Development:
To achieve the above requirement, we are following the below procedure in our development system.
    1. We are using enhancement:  /SAPAPO/RRP_IO_COL, method: RRP_USEX_COLS_FILL_01 and RRP_USEX_COLS_GET_TEXT_01 to display an additional field 'Original delivery date' in /sapapo/rrp3 - elements view. This field is restricted to Purchase requisition (Order category: AG) only. We are planning to populate the additional data 'Original delivery date' in this customer specific field and store it in table: /SAPAPO/ORDFLDS at the time of PR creation.
    2. Table: /SAPAPO/ORDFLDS is appended with the 'customer specific field'.
    3. We couldnt find a document on how the data can be populated in table /SAPAPO/ORDFLDS.
    4. How to polulate the live cache data in the table  '/APAPO/ORDFLDS' ? ( i.e using connection parameter )?
Appreciate if you can throw me some light on this.
    Thanks
