COMPLETED replaced by REJECTED in SRM 700 onwards?

Hi All
Note 1494044 - No Obj. ID within the alert after SOCO items where rejected
From the list of shopping carts - appearing in the sourcing cockpit - a purchaser can select one or more shopping cart item(s) and press REJECT ITEMS button. Then a confirmation is asked and if the purchaser selects "yes" then that shopping cart item is removed from the shopping cart list that can be sourced. Afterward there should be send a notification to the requestor of the Shopping card informing him about this rejection.
The requestor is getting a notification but without any informations about the regarding Object.
Muthu

Yes. The "Complete" function in sourcing cockpit is replaced by (renamed to) "Reject" in SRM 7.0. The effect is the same as before, i.e. source_rel_ind is set to "Y" (completed) after an item is rejected and can no longer be sourced.

    Kindly advise

Will ORACLE 9i after few years will be completely replaced with ORACLE 10g or higher versions. Not sure what you mean by that. There are some systems which are running Oracle 7.x till date and the administrators have not even bothered to upgrade to Oracle 8i, let alone 10g/11g.
does it make any difference if i do not take ORACLE 9i Certification and directly go on to do my Certification. It does not make any difference unless you want to get certified on every version of Oracle.

  • Process for Replacement for rejected parts by vendor

    Dear All,
We are facing a problem in mapping the process of Replacement for rejected parts by vendor.
    Scenario:
In case of import vendors, material is received in stock and payment is made to vendor thru Invoice.
Now in case of defected parts vendor sends the replacement and the defected part is scrapped.
Is there a process to receive the replacement part with proper accountability ?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ritesh.

    Hi AP,
We are scrapping the rejected material. Can you explain which movement type is used to put rejected stock to vendor movement type.
    Thanks & Regds,
    Ritesh.

I would love to use Aperture for all my image-handling, but it seems iPhoto is hard-coded into the OS X workflow. Hi, you seem to be right, although I've never used that myself, it made me go off and test it myself.
However, you can use the 'save image to <my-downloads-folder>' feature, and then import the images into Aperture. Which is what I've been doing anyway. It's a two step process for sure, but it'll work.
I'm very much like you, and trying to swap from iPhoto to Aperture. I have to say that I haven't actually run iPhoto since I got Aperture though.

    Hello Muthu,
At this point in time SRM 7.0 needs XI/PI for CCTR capability, this is promised to change with the release of EHP1 (due june 2010).
My list of additional features, not neccesarily advantages but might be usefull to you:
    Userside:
    - Webfront no more ITS based: Webdynpro's + Enterprise Portal (look & feel = R/3) (advantages: SSO / central user mgt)

  • How to Disable or Replace SSD Drive on HP 700-330qe

Help for My 5-Month-Old HP! This is Killing Me! I bought an HP 700-330qe in 2014 from Amazon, and just started getting SMART hard drive errors from Windows whenever my computer restarts, telling me that hard disk failure is imminent. It also tells me to shut down the computer immediately, back it up, contact the manufacturer, etc. Never saw this in any PC I have owned before. I naturally freaked out and did some research on the internet, discovering it is relatively easy to clone and replace a hard drive. I ordered a new Western Digital 3 TB hard drive from Amazon, a Cable Matters brand hard drive docking station from Amazon, and downloaded Macrium Reflect free disk management software. Items from Amazon arrived in a couple of days and I got to work making a clone of my one and only hard drive. Clone was made with little problem. Shut down the computer, opened it up and replaced the old hard drive with the new one. Booted the computer back up, and got the same message about imminent hard drive failure!! So I paid more attention to it this time, and looked up the model number given in the warning message, which was: ScanDisk SDSA6DM-016G-1006. I Googled that and discovered it was the solid state drive (SSD) used as a cache to speed up certain operations. Arrgh. I stuck my old hard drive into the hard drive docking station and was prepared to clone both the SSD partition and all of the partitions from the main hard drive onto the one hard drive, and the remove or at least unplug the SSD to get rid of this issue. The software told me the SSD is formatted as MPR (or something like that) while the main hard drive is formatted as GPT, which are different types of hard drive formatting, so you can't copy those different types of partitions onto one hard drive. Okay, so here are my options as I see them: 1) I need to either disable the SSD, but I don't know how and I don't know if the computer will still even boot up. Is Windows partially installed on the SSD? I don't know.2) Clone and replace the SSD in much the same way as I did with the main hard drive. I can get the following SSD from Amazon for $49: Kingston Digital 60GB SSDNow V300 SATA 3 2.5 (7mm height) with Adapter Solid State Drive SV300S37A/60G. For option #2 above, the only problem is that I have no idea where the OEM ScanDisk SSD is currently installed in my computer!!?!?!? Is it in the hard drive cage?? I didn't see anything else installed in there. I thought it was in the cage directly above the hard drive cage, but I think what I was looking at was the front memory card reader/USB ports. I only have on CD drive installed and I can see where that is. Help!!! PS: I also downloaded EaseUS Partition Master 10.2 and used it to scan the SSD. While it was scanning it found 9 bad blocks (out of tens of thousands of blocks) but when it finished the scan it said there were no bad blocks. To have this happen on an SSD, which is supposed to be more reliable than regulard hard drives, make this situation so much more aggravating. At least I upgraded my hard drive from 2TB to 3TB, and now know that I can do it. Sigh.

Update. So I spent about 1 hour chatting with HP tech support. First we had to clarify the fact that the standard HP warranty runs longer than 4 months. The tech support person originally informed me that the warranty is only 1 year from date of purchase. I then told him I purchased the computer on 8-15-14. He looked up my records and stated my warranty period was 8-21-14 through 12-31-14. After I told him my math tells me that time period was only 4 months, he got it figured out and confirmed my PC was still under warranty.
Anyway, after remotely logging into my PC and running a test, he got a failure code he needed, and then had me open up my PC case and type in the HP part number on the label of the MSATA drive. He first typed that I would get a box with instructions on where to mail my PC so it could be repaired, which would take 2-3 weeks. As this is the main family home PC and has tons of personal information, I stated this was unnaceptable. Ok, so plan B was the replacement was going to be sent to my house so I could replace it myself, expected arrival within 7-12 days. Surprise, just 2 days later I come from work to find a small box waiting for me. I tear it open and get ready to install the replacement, but what do I find? Instead of sending an MSATA Sandisk 16GB SSD, they send me a Seagate 750GB laptop SSHD. The picture of what they sent is below. Got back online chatting with HP support tonight, and their records showed they sent me an MSATA Sandisk 16GB SSD. This has now been escalated to a supervisor, and I am supposed to be receiving a phone call within 24-48 hours. This is turning into a really bad customer service experience for me, and is making me think twice about buying another HP computer. We have 3 HP desktops in this house and are on the 3rd HP laptop now. I really hope they send me the correct part before the whole thing dies on me.

  • PO 'Complete' and 'Delete' buttons behaviorin SRM 5.0 , Extende classic

My understanding of how these buttons work in SRM 5.0 ECS is as follows.
If anybody has any input or want to correct me based on your experience of these buttons feel free to throw your input
    Delete button
    1) Will be enabled when the PO is in 'Held' status and no follow-on documents exist
    2) Once PO is deleted, no changes can be made to the PO and no cofirmations or invoices can be created against this PO
    Complete button
    1) When clicked, the system status changes to 'Transaction completed'. Cannot change the PO but can confirm goods receipt and process invoice against the PO (Is this true?)
    2)  Complete button will be active after a PO is created
    3) Any situations where the button will be disabled?

    Hi
    <b>Please try this -></b>
Try to delete the PO line item first.I donot have any idea about your support pack level.
Note 982448 - Impossibility to delete an item in PO
    <u>
See also this one as this disable under condition</u>
Note 852327 - Disable Deletion of Confirmed PO Items
If you are in EBP 4.0,see this note Note 710827 - EBP 4.0 When creating a new PO, status is 'Error in Process'
<u>If scenario is ECS, you maybe have an RFC communication issue (network ?...) else check is bbp_get_status_2 is having error (ST22...) in both systems.</u>
<u>If EBP PO status is not correctly updated, delete button is disable</u>. Also Please look at transaction RZ20 in B2B procurement monitor what kind of error do you have.

  • MacBook Pro 13" guts completely replaced, warranty extension?

My MB Pro 13" has had its entire guts replaced once, meaning the logic board etc are all different from what originally shipped with the computer, and are a couple of months newer. I'm pretty sure this is supposed to extend one's warranty, as my hardware is technically different, but I have not received an extension? How does one go about receiving one?

    Boris,
When service is performed on your machine, Apple offers a 90-day limited warranty on the entire machine after the service is completed. If the remainder of your one-year limited warranty is greater, you would still be entitled to that. If you have the AppleCare Protection Plan on the machine, then it would still be covered by that if the remainder on that is greater.

  • SRM 7.0 Invoice Rejection in SRM Portal

    Hi,
We have come across a scenario where an approver is unable to reject an invoice in their tasks queue. An error message of "/sapsrm/cx_pdo_error Reason for rejection is mandatory" appears
However, when they reject a Shopping Cart for example, it works fine and they get a message saying "Action <Reject> performed successfully"
I can't find where these reason codes are configured in SPRO.
    Does anybody know?
    Thanks,
    Bernard.

    Hello Bernard,
Check text schema assigned to your Invoice document type:
SAP Implementation Guide > SAP Supplier Relationship Management > SRM Server > Cross-Application Basic Settings > Define Transaction Types
Text ID RREJ is assigned at header level, that's why you have this error message (see method CHECK_REJECTION_NOTE from class interface /SAPSRM/CL_PDO_BO_INV_ADV ):
SAP Implementation Guide > SAP Supplier Relationship Management > SRM Server > Cross-Application Basic Settings > Text Schema > Define Text Schema.

  • Will ABAP be completely Replace by JAVA

    Hi Friends,
Will ABAP be replaced by JAVA in future.
    Or
Will SAP give more importance to ABAP or JAVA
If I set my  Business Programming in ABAP, Will it sound
    ever
Please help in knowing the fact

    hi,
ABAP can't die because its the easiest development tool . It can be easily seen that if you see development cost ABAP development can be completed in less time as compared to Java.  And SAP is not stopping ABAP but just given an option to develop in java. However it will be good for ABAP Developers to learn java.
ABAP is not a replacement for any thing and at the same time no other language is a replacement for ABAP.  FYI, ABAP is no more an ABAP/4. It is widely extended with the introduction of Web Application Server starting from release WAS 620.
In Object Oriented Paradigm ABAP is the only langauge that goes very near to all the properties of OOP concepts even comparted to JAVA and C++ starting from release WAS 630. You can developed and extend web applications using ABAP. It is much much more than what we see from R/2 and R/3 3.X releases...
There is nothing to worry about it. Yes SAP is introducing J2EE platform as an alternate to make an implementation faster as in the market there are many JAVA developers compared to ABAP resources.
More than this, ABAP is the SAP proprietary language. Except R/3 kernel, every application/transaction including BASIS is written in ABAP. I don't think SAP is that foolish to replace ABAP with some thing else. Look at the development news in SAP AG official web site for more info. One might need to know Java and JSP for developing mySAP portals but starting from SAP NetWeaver (which is planned to be released officially by the next quarter this year) you can developed
    heterogeneous portals using ABAP itself...
Hope the above clarifies how ABAP is moving a head in the programming era.
    reward if helpful.
    regards,
    keerthi.

    Hi all ,
I follow this note to replacement of service definitions in my solution manager system.
In the step2,   i have some questions in the following actions:

Delete any task 'Maintenance Package' in the 'To do' tab.
Ensure that no connection to SAP is maintained in:

This means that only NONE exist in the table ?
Ensure that connection 'NONE' is maintained, and that the 'master' flag is set.
Create a new periodic task 'Maintenance Package'.
If only one RFC 'NONE' in RFC destinations, when i create new task 'Maintenance Package'
