ComplexType Elements using Axis

I am creating a dynamic web service client using Axis that can call any operation, given only the WSDL file. Everything was going fine until I had to return a complexType. I am able to retrieve the complexType, however I am unable to get the 'name' of each element.
Here is a snippet of the WSDL:

<sequence>
<element name="aNumber1" nillable="true" type="xsd:string"/>
<element name="aNumber2" nillable="true" type="xsd:string"/>
<element name="aNumber3" nillable="true" type="xsd:string"/>
</sequence>
</complexType>When I print out the invocation of the Call, I get something like the following:
[15, 10, 100]
Is there any way to retrieve the element name (ex: aNumber1, aNumber2, etc) from the returned object? For this operation, I registered the ArraySerializer/DeserializerFactory but I couldn't find anything to allow me to access the element names.

Issue with generation of document/literal type WSDL using Axis

I am trying to convert some Java code into WSDL using Axis 1.2 framework. I used Document/Literal style for binding.
One of the methods in my Java code returns an array. This array is described in Axis generated WSDL as follows:

<attribute ref="soapenc:arrayType" wsdl:arrayType="impl:Things[]"/>
</restriction>
</complexContent>
</complexType>
But the end user(client for the web service I am hosting) says " .NET won't allow him to consume my webservice (or generate the proper reference classes) for types that derive from encoded types".
So my question is "Would it be possible to change the webservice so that it doesn’t use that(soapenc) implementation of the array?"
The end user is expecting something more like this:
<s:complexType name="ArrayOfThings">
<s:sequence>
<s:element minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded" name="Things" nillable="true" type="tns:Things" />
</s:sequence>
</s:complexType>
I am new to Web Services. So any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

We definitely support the ability to call a web service that exposes two operations (document/literal or not).
Glancing through your WSDL, it looks good.
Could you please try to tunnel the second request and see 1) what data is sent to the service and 2) what data is returned by the service?
Can you please email us a reproduceable case so that we can help troubleshoot in parallel?

I have used some complexType of the web services in my BPEL process.
I guess the parser can't resolve where it is...is it?
I wonder what I should do to make the parser know where to find that type.
Do I have to specify anything more in my BPEL process?

ABAP Proxy --> PI (7.0) SP 12 ---> WebService.
Since This is service is secured, means it is using OASIS web servie securyty user name token,
I am trying to use AXIS adapter. and I want to configure HandlerBean in which I want to use apache wss4j api to add the userNameToken. I am looking for some documentation on this.
I need to add SOAP action element too as I can not configure this one on the communication channel.

Transmission of XML Documents in a vector via WebService using Axis

I'm trying to transmit several XML documents (belonging to a DICOM-Study) from WebService Provider to WebService consumer.
This is my server/provider:

After using Axis' WSDL2Java-Tool I wrote a client:

... Everytime I try to invoke this client-side class, I get an "org.xml.sax.SAXException: SimpleDeserializer encountered a child element, which is NOT expected, in something it was trying to deserialize."
Obviously the client gets confused by the XML content of the vector I'm trying to transmit (this error also occurs if I transmit XML files constisting only of a single empty element <empty />).
I think this is a simple problem, since one single XML Document can be transmitted and gets displayed on client side, but I don't have a clue how to solve this vector<Document> problem. Hope someone can help me.

Hi thanks for your answer.
I am striving to make this webservice as universal as possible. I have only been returning dumps to my calling page to try and get a view of what's going on inside the component when I call it as a webservice. I wouldn't dream or returnin these back the client.
The major core of this idea was to create a single component that acts as a facade for a number of other components. Because of this the component needs to accept and return a dynamically variable number of arguments. Because of this I selected xml as this seemed like the ideal solution; I can pass in an out some xml that contains all the arguments. I was hoping to reuse some internal functions to provide external webservices, and use this facade architechture to add a layer of security and logging which doesn't exist with the current functions.
Do you have any suggestions of how I could best acheive something along these lines? Has someone already created a framework or methodology for creating webservices with Coldfusion which would provide this sort of functionality out of the box?

Apparently you don't understand arrays. You've created the array with a space for one reference. You never assign anything into that array element.
String[] s = new String[1];
s[0].size(); // The reference is NULL!The above is guaranteed to be a null pointer exception - how could the array element have a String in it? We never create a String (only the array) and what text would it have even if it somehow magically worked?
Instead you would have to do this:
String[] s = new String[1];
s[0] = "Hello";
s[0].size(); // The reference is NOT nullThe above is exactly analogous to your problem.

Mapping Package Names using Axis

Hi,
I'm trying to do something which I think is pretty straightforward, but am getting no success.
When running WSDL2Java, A package is getting created called DSAdminService. I would like this to be renamed to com.cs.scs... How do I do this?
I have tried the tip in topic http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?forumID=331&threadID=553899 , but this is not helping. Here is my build file at present:

The namespace attribute in the mapping element takes the value of your WSDL's namespace. So for example, if the source WSDL used in the WSDL2Java task has the namespace "urn:my/wsdl/namespace", and you want the generated code to be placed in the package com.cs.scs, you would use:

are there anyone who use axis webservice in PI. I'm using .Net web service easily but Axis webservice is problem.When i import. It doesn't show all parameter structure therefore it isn't used in message mapping etc.

Like already mentioned there are some restrictions. Unfortunately the PI 7.1 Online Help does not explcitely tell them as you can see here:

But the XI 3.0 documentation contains a hint:
For technical reasons, proxy generation and the respective editors in the Integration Builder do not support the entire language range of XML schema and WSDL. For an overview of which language elements are supported, see the Excel spreadsheet in the SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/xi ® Media Library ® Documentation: SAP XI 3.0 (SP11) u2013 Supported XML Schema and WSDL (EN).

JAXB marshalling complexType elements

Does anyone know why JAXB always marshalls complexType elements with a seperate start and end tag, even if the element has no content?
i.e.
Given the schema element declaration:
<xs:element name="foo" type="fooType"/>
<xs:complexType name="fooType">
<xs:attribute name="value" type="xs:string" use="required"/>
</xs:complexType>
Why do I get:
<foo value="bar"></foo>
Instead of:
<foo value="bar"/>
Is their a setting / property to control this behaviour?
If not then I certainly think there should be because this will bloat the 5Mb XML files I am currently dealing with by quite a lot.

In our UCM setup axis has been implemented in a custom component to consume webservices. As Axis falls under the Apache license you can freely import it in your custom java classes.

Hi -
A few things that you may want to try to troubleshoot this issue:
1) Run our sample of calling a BPEL process from Axis, located in:
C:\orabpel\samples\interop\axis\AXISCallingSyncBPEL
2) Run your client through a TCP tunnel to see the specific SOAP request message that is being sent to the BPEL process and the SOAP response that is being generated. This should help you determine which side of the communication is causing the problem, as well as to rule out proxy server or other issues that are very common problems for this situation.

Can u please suggest me the name of table
I have already used STXH table but it is not giving me the all text elements
I mean i want that if i enter some formane ...i should get all the text elment contained in it
