Component Allocation Mass Change

Is it possible to mass change, say the backflush indicator, in CEWB for component allocations? If not, any other suggestions?

Ashok,
Since this deals with routing for configurable material with average of 1500 to 1700 component allocations, I thought CEWB would be the tool to use. But I find no mass change capabilities in the Component Allocation view. Do not know of any other mass change transactions for routings dealing with component allocation.

Component allocation changes in routers

Does anyone know if components allocations in a router can change without making the change in the router. My users are stating that they have a printout in October with the component allocations being one way and then in December they changed. However, they are stating they never made the change in the router. So how is this possible. Because there is no change log in the component allocation section of the router Im having a difficult time proving to them its not the system and its a user error. Any suggestions?

If the routing is changed in the production order (by T-Code CO02), it wont show in the CA61 or CA60.
Also the initial data of routing will not be changed. May be because of this only you are not getting anything in the log.

Contract Mass change enhancement in SRM 7.0

Hi Experts,
We are using SRM 7.0 & implementing new Contract mass change functionality for header P.Org. & P. Group data. I have created a Web Dynpro Component (with View similar to /SAPSRM/WDC_UI_AO_CT_MC_D), & implemeted a BADI /SAPSRM/CTR_MC_BADI & added an entry in Table BBPV_CTR_MASSOP.
After selecting the change method i am getting the error "View O_V_PURCH does not exist in the component YWDC_UI_AO_CTR". Actually, O_V_PURCH is an outbound plug of the WEb Dynpro Component. I am not sure why this eror is coming.
Could you please help me out in this. That will be a great help.
FYI - I am using Operational Contract Configuration document as reference.

Copy Project and Mass Change

hi experts,
When I copy a project from another operative project with list of material (external), the plant (in the material component) tab is also copied over to the new project. Is there any way that I could change this plant assignment for each material - it is greyed out in my system.
Additional information:
1. All of these material are Non-Stock (so Plant is irrelevant)
2. Procurement type = third party procurement (PFS)

It is not possible to change the plant while copying or with mass change function.
Alternatively you can copy all the WBS elements and activities without materials. Set a subsitiution rule to change the Plant at network level.

Mass change of Production orders operations in ECC 6.0 using COOIS

Dear experts,
Kindly Suggest a way to mass change of direct operations and components overview screen of production orders in ECC6.0
using COOIS transaction code which was available in SAP 4.7 using environment >change order> operations or components once we execute the COOIS with certain input parameters in the out put screen,this function seems to be not available in ECC 6.0 , if available kindly guide me or any alternative way to perform the same.

You have that button "Change Order" you can just click on it and once you're in the change mode of the order click "Component Overview" button , it's the same number of clicks...
Anyway, SAP has changed the entire ALV for all the transaction codes using PPIO_ENTRY (COOIS, CO26, CO27, CO28 et al)

if you really want your old GUI status. there is a way to get it back. In SE38 enter the program name PPIO_ENTRY and select variants and click display. Once you're in variants screen enter variant name and click create and select all "screens" check box and then it will take you the selection screen in there check the box "Old ALV Display" in the Technical settings sub screen. (If you want you can choose other functions also like "Selection List" as PPIOM000 Always display components directly etc. if you want ) Click on "Next Screen" button and it will show "Attributes" button then click on the attributes button and save it.
Now go to SE93, make a copy of transaction COOIS to ZOOIS and in the variant field enter the variant you just created. The new transaction will always start with the variant you just created and it will look like your old COOIS with Environment > Change Order > Components will be visible.

Hi,
Need to use CS02 recording in such a way that you can change every item in a particular BOM.
e.g. First get into HEader Material BOM (CS02), once you've General Item Overview screen, do NOT directly go to item details of any item.... first click on tab-'Position', enter either Item Number or Component or both and then go to item details to change the relevancy indicator. Once changed for a particular item, save the BOM & come out of it. Then try for next item & so on....
Again this is my initial thought, you need to try out few recording options like this and then chose the most suitable one. Take help from ABAP expert if any available.
Off-course, initiallly it would take time to set-up LSMW but later on just need to create a data-file & do the mass changes.

Is there any report can show final issue indicator for all production order? How can I mass change the indicator?

Hi,
In reports such as COOIS and COHV you can select in the initial screen "List: Components" and check your "Change layouts" to view the report with the "Final Issue" indicator.
But you cannot do a mass change in this option. One way is : You can just select the particular order -> goto Component Overview of the order to be changed and do the necessary changes and save to get the required result.

MASTER DATA MASS CHANGE- ASSET

Hello,
I have a problem with substitution....
I need to do the following :
In asset master record, tab allocation I want to make a substitution in the field " group evaluation 1" e.g. from 2 to 7;
With GGB1 I create a substitution in AM -Asset Accounting mass change, callup point 4.
With OA02 I link my substitution to the company code.
With AR01 I create a worklist and I choose the workflow task:"Change asset w/o dialog (bulk change), I select my substitution.
Then AR31 for releasing my worklist.
I get an error message : " Work item 000000386089: Data for type A cannot be written (table SWWWIHEAD) ".
I did a bit of debugging and it seems that the error is triggered because there are no records for the current version plan (PLVAR = 01) in the table HRP1217. I must say that we did not implement HR at all here. We are using version 4.6C.
Please help me to solve this problem !

Hi Gabriela,
For this little change it better to create a simple LSMW. This is going faster then with Mass change. (no transports,...).
With SE16 you get the asset numbers and evaluation groeps in EXCEL, there you change the values and import this with LSMW

Asset substitution rules for mass changes

Dear all,
I create worklist in order to use substitution rule for mass change.
But when running transaction AR31 I have following error message:
No administrator found for the task
Message no. 5W141
I found transaction OAWF but what must I do with this?

Hi David,
In sight of resolving the error 5W141 when running the workflow in AR31, maybe following information can help.
1- Transaction OAWF: check if the responsible users are assigned to the workflow tasks
Menu path: Basic Functions
                               Assign tasks to agent
                                         Correct worklist
                                                  Release worklist
                                                            Correct and release worklist
2- Then also check if the users are assigned to the workflow-tasks in the basis-component (transaction PFTC).
   Menu path: Task type: TS   - Standard task
                         Task     : corresponding task
Also check the minimum customizing for workflow: SWU3 => automatic customizing

Component allocation in routing

In CA02 (Sales order routing) when I go to component allocation more than once then i get following message. It is ok that you only go once in component overview??
Component overview for routing cannot be called up
Message no. CM022
Diagnosis
You want to call up the component overview for the selected routing (group 50000637, counter ). However this is not possible, because earlier you clled up a material component overview for another routing that had the following properties:
It belongs to the same group as the routing you have now selected.
It has been allocated another material or material BOM as the routing you have now selected.
Procedure
As long as you do not call up the component overvierw for the selected routing, you can go on working as usual. To call up the material component overview, proceed as follows:
1. If you have made any changes in the selected plan that you want to save, do so.
2. Cancel editing the routing
3. Start editing routings with the selected routing (group 50000637, counter ) and call up the material component overview

all u have to do is, go to ca02 operation overview. highlight the operation and click on component allocation. there u can see assignment tab. click on that and assign the components from the bom of that header material. it is as simple as this. dont forget to save the routing at the end.
pls try this and come back with more clarity.

Component allocation of material components in routing

Dear Sap Gurus,
I am having a finished product in which it contains rawmaterials for making but it in my routing i am having operations of 10, 20,30,40,50,60 ( 10-shearing, 20-bending, 30-welding, 40-grinding, 50-bending, 60-grinding )
but in my routing doing compoent allocation i am using materials from bom which contains components of 10,20,30 for routing operation of 10 and the output of 10 is the input of 20 routing operation so how can i give component allocation in routing whether i should give for routing operation of 10 the bom components so that it can take for routing operation of 20,30,40,50.
whether my procedure is correct or any body can help me how to proceed the above problem.

Murlidhar,
First of all tell me one thing, are you going to identify the inprocess material with a separate material or not?
If you are going to do it, then your query can be answered.
If component ABC is allocated to operation no. 0010, it gets changed to PQR, then you need to first create the code for PQR. Then do GR as a byproduct with movement type 531 & again do the GI with movement type 261 against that order itself.
It's a quite tedious process & normally no one goes for this.
It's better you deal to the initial component & the final product only. If you opt out for in process material codification then in future where there are several stages of the process, you find it difficult & next to impossible.
Go for that if it is having major impact on the process (normally it never be).

I want table or Function module for component allocation in production order and planned order.If component changes done in
planned order or production order.
In Table PLMZ and STPO I am getting component which are allocated in routing MASTER DATA.But if after generation of
production order or planned order and I had changed one component in production order then it will not show in PLMZ and STPO
table.

Component Allocation in Routing is missing

Dear PP Gurus,
We are using R/3 4.7 version and we are facing a serious problem in Routing Comp. Alloc. since few years. There are 3 to 5 operations in the Routing and about 20 to 30 BOM components, each components are assigned to their respective operations. But after a few days, component allocations for some materials would be gone. So the user needs to do the assignment again from time to time.
They don't even changed the BOM and there's only 1 person who is maintaining the Routing. So we don't assume that somebody has removed the component allocation. Besides, we have activated the Change Management in Routing since then, and we are able to see the history changes in the Routing.
If this is a System Bug, do you know any patches or OSS note that could fix the problem?

Dear John,
I don't think that is a system bug.
I believe that is your master data.
You could start to researh from material master - simply use MM04
I also recommend to check out the relevant BOM changes. Look after routing changes as well.
Before to do that, go to SU01 and get all users who able to do such things.
(some users could break the process just done a 'little' adjustment)
