Component Qty Requirement report based on the period and vendor

Hi Guru's,
Good day!
I would like to get a report with output parameters finished product(FG), the requiremnts for that FG for given period(lets say month of march), customer for that FG, then componet material requiremnt for that FG in that period.
Input: component material( bought out), vendor, period
output required: FG's for given component material, requirement for that FG in thst period, vendor, requiremnt for componet material for this FG in that period, IF that component material used in two different FG then both details required with splitup.
we checked function modules but we were not able to find the FG by giving component material as input.
Is this possible to get the required output as required or is there any way to find the same.
kindly help if is there any function modules or BAPI's available.

If you want such report viz in line with parameters of MD04; try for function module given below
MD_STOCK_REQUIREMENTS_LIST_API
This may help you as the output is dynamic unlike MD04. Check if it works

Dear All,
I have period prompt in my report, based on the period prompt selection in my report I need to get the start and end dates of the period and apply in the report filter.
For e.g. Period Name selected in the prompt is "2010 - Q1" (For this Period, Period Start Date = 01/01/2010 and Period End Date is 30/03/2010, which is not going to be displayed in the prompts).
How can I get the start and end dates of the period into my report filter. I tried using the presentation variable for the period name, but unable to resolve the requirement.

Hi Rajesh,
Create a report A which will give you the period start date and end date and filter it using the period prompt.
Then filter the main report using the report A start date and end date, using Filter -> Advanced ->Filter based on results of another request .
Add the report A in separate section on the dashboard along with main report and hide report A section.

How to create a report based on the selection of a node of a tree

I am new to Oracle Apex and I was trying to build a tree and also an interactive report based on the empno column of the emp table.
I have created a tree based on emp table. Now I want to display records of the employee selected in the tree.
Here is the tree query:
select case when connect_by_isleaf = 1 then 0
when level = 1 then 1
else -1
end as status,
level,
"ENAME" as title,
null as icon,
"EMPNO" as value,
null as tooltip,

I tried to follow the thread Re: tree question but could not understand much from it.

The approach for reloading the page and displaying the report is quite simple.
<li>You start by creating a new page item which would be used to store the selected node ID , eg. P100_SELECTED_NODE (you can make it atext item and change it hidden once everything works as expected)
<li>Modify the tree query and change the link column in the tree definition SQL query to a link to the same
for example if your page is 100 , you would make the tree node link to the same page but set the P100SELECTED_NODE with selected node's id_

Is there a way to hide some reports based on the selected values in prompt.
For ex. if a year is selected in the prompt then the report should display year wise report.
If a year and half year both are selected in the drop down from prompt section then 2 reports should come.. One for year wise and another for half year wise.Kindly look into this.

Use presentation values in prompts for year,half,qtr and month.Example- For year-y is presentation variable in the same way for halfyear-h,qtr-q and month-m.
create four intermediate reports.Example-Report r1 with only year column,r2 with only halfyear column,r3 with qtr column and r4 with month column.
Make column in each report(r1,r2,r3,r4) is equal to their presentation variables(y,h,q,m).
Use four sections.
Section1-Place report that should come when only year.
section2-Place report that should come for year and halfyear.
Section3-Place report that should come for year,halfyear and qtr.
Section4-Place report that should come for year,halfyear,qtr and month.
Apply guided navigation for each section selecting guided navigation-
For section1-
properties->Guided navigation->check this Reference Source Request(Yes)->select report r1(year)->check this Show Section(if request returns row)
In the same way do for remaining section2(select r2),section3(select r3) and section4(select r4)

1 - May I know what is this field about (in between our company using material ledger).
2 - May I know why the value of this field are different between our company period 6 and period 7 for this year? what contribute to it? and is it something wrong with different value between two different period or absolutely normal?

PUP field in Accounting 1 (if ML is active, Price Determination indicator=3) is the result of Actual Costing Run (CKMLCP) closing entry.
For your 2nd query:

Is it possible to suppress the Page Header of the Main Report based on the Section Name?

I am fairly new to Crystal Reports XI. Is it possible to suppress the Page Header of the Main Report based on the Section Name? Thanks.

In the section expert you can enter a formula on the suppress function.
You just need something to check against if it is section name you say
{section name} ="Suppressme"
I have used it more in drill level to display headers based on how far you have drilled into a report.

Percentage based on the Date and Dimension - WEBI

I have to calculate percentage based on the Dates and a Dimension.
I have BEX Query as source and reporting is done on BOXI - WEBI
Here is the table structure in the report.
List# , Process01, Process02.
List# is unique and Process01-Has 4 operations, Process02 has 3 operations (and these Operations can change from 3 to 7 or 2).
Operations will have a 'Date' only when it is completed.
and when all the operations in a 'Process' have 'Date' then i need to get the 'Latest Date'. If few of the operations are not confirmed, then i need to get the percentage like when 2 of 4 operations have date it will be 50% and when no operation is confirmed then 0% and so on .
Example Cube data:
List#,ProcessCategory,Operation,Date
100,Process01,456,11/11/2010.
100,Process01,457,11/12/2010.
100,Process01,489,
100,Process01,490,
100,Process02,890,11/13/2010.
100,Process02,891,11/14/2010.
100,Proceess02,892,11/15/2010
Result:
List#, Process01, Process02
100,50%,11/15/2010.
Please help me in this, i tryed different logics but it is giving ERROR at percentage.

I applied this:

[Percentage] = (Count([Date])/Count([Operation]))*100.
but, this is not becoming true - even when Operation has one Date
Showing result as:
List#,Process01,Process02
100, 11/12/2010, 11/15/2010
But result should be
100,50%,11/15/2010
Can anyone help me achieve the right result!

Restrict access in report based on compnay codes and cost centers

Hi,
We are using a standard report, which is assigend to a Z transaction and assigend to the role.
The report need to be restricted based on the company code and cost center ?
but i could not find any AUTHORITY- CHECK statements in the code ( there is only authority check statement for object G_803J_GJB which has authorization groups and aCTVT field.)
Please let me know what steps need to be followed to restrict the report based on company codes and cost centers.

Steps to be followed:
1) incorporatomg AUTHORITY-CHECK statements for K_KOSTL and F_BKPF_BUK objects in the program.
2) adding the objects as check yes in SU24 for the Z transaction.
and restricting in the role.
The program name is "GP3O4ZGOOF3HA68QMGHF8S7I9ER250".
Please let me know if any more steps need to be followed.

Sql agent jobs based on the database and the user

Dear All,
I have a requirement of configuring an user who should only have access to one database out of all and also able to create, view and modify sql agent jobs only for the allowed database. For allowing to see the selected database to particular user I have
granted permissions as per below,
create LOGIN mhtc WITH PASSWORD='mhtc', CHECK_POLICY = OFF;
USE master;
GO
DENY VIEW ANY DATABASE TO mhtc;
USE master;
GO
ALTER AUTHORIZATION ON DATABASE::MHTC TO mhtc;

but user not able to see sql agent jobs so I want to give necessary permission to this user to view,create and modify sql agent jobs only in allowed databases. Basically I want to separate users from each database and separate sql agent jobs based on the
user and database.

SQL Server Agent Jobs are not created / dedicated for a user database. The Jobs are store in System database "msdb".

Linking to an OBIEE report without showing the user and password

Hi!
we are trying to access to an obiee report from an external portal (coded with php).
The idea is that the user clicks on a link an gets the report in pdf format. For that purpose we are using this url:
http://ttivobiee01:7001/analytics/saw.dll?Go&Path=/shared/Prueba/ogp_obi&Action=Print&P0=1&P1=eq&P2="Criteria"."Key"&P3=1402&NQuser=user&NQPassword=pass&format=pdf
But this url is expossing OBIEE's user and password.
In order to avoid this security issue we tried to do an wget of the url but it doesn't return the report. Instead we get an html, which seams to download the report chunk by chunk (using javaScript).
The question is, is there any way that we could let our portal ussers access to an obbie report without expossing the user and password?
I have been looking into oracle forums and have found this: OBIEE Go URL with password protected
but we couldn't use this aproach due to security issues.

Where is the DW validation for me?
My files are in my computer so I don’t have an external URL.
File > validation > as xml = closes DW... Maybe because it is not a correct command for HTML,
And
Window > results > validation = gives a partial mistakes (e.g. shows an open tag without closing tag, but doesn’t show a closing tag without an open tag).

Police don't "track down" lost items, per se. They'll keep your information on file in the event that someone finds your iPod and turns it in. Otherwise, there's nothing the police can or will do in regards to finding lost property.
Sorry, but your iPod is most likely gone for good.
