Components and Plants

Question

Hi Gurus
I made a search and found some related information but unfortunately couldn't get an answer to my question. Here it is:
We have 2 Maintenance Plants - Plant A and Plant B.
Plant A has one spares Storage Location - 0001
Plant B has one spares Storage Location - 0001
Plant A is the planning plant and Plant B is attached to it.
I am having some issues with Task Lists.
1) Work Centers on Task Lists
Do I need to create one Task List for Plant A and one for Plant B (as Plant A has its work centers also)?
Is there a practical way of doing it with one Task List?
How am I going to identify them as Task Lists are created at Planning Plant Level?
2) Components on Task Lists*
Similarly the components must use Plant A Storage Location 0001 for the Plant A Orders. In the task lists Storage Locations are not allowed. As I am going to use two separate Task Lists, how am I going to manage the component-storage location link as there are two storage locations, two maintenance plants but only one planning plant.

Many thanks for summaruizing the relationship between Maintenance Plants and Planning Plants. I have already read them before writing here.

I would disagree with you as Planning Plant is only responsibl efor planning of the maintenance work. Performing Maintenance Work is something done by Work centers, therefore could be done at the Maintenance Plants. Therefeore in order to complete the work, I need work centers to be created at the Maintenance Plant Level aslo.

Let me put it this way. Assume that I have Work center WCA for Plant A (which is also the Planning Plant) and Work Centre WCB  for Plant B, which is only a maintenance plant.
Assume that I am going to do the same maintenance for some Equipment at Plant A and for some equipment at Plant B separately.
Therefore I have to create on task list for Plantg A (with WCA) and another one with WCB for Plant B. (In order to prevent misunderstandings I should note that I know you can use multiple work centres and plants within a Taskk List. What I am trying to do is just to keep the thing simple.)
My 1st question was actually about these two separate Task Lists. Is there a better way to do that? Creating one Task List at Planning Plant level but having some conversion rules (by user exists or maybe standard ways) which will convert this task list for Plant B. (In this case basically replacing the Work Centers WCA with WCB...)
My second question was about similarly converting the storage location.
You mentioned that conversion should be done manually. But why I am using a Task lIst? In order to make life easier. So assume that I have a task list with 100 lines of componenst. Replacing each one's storage location will be a very time consuming job. Is there a practical way for that?
Even if I accept creating one Task lIst for differet Maintenance Plants, still I don't have the storage location selection within the Task Lists. I wonder if there is a practical way of doing the selection...
