Components' demand is not created

Question

Hi everyone,
I am working on EBS 11.5.10.2, discrete manufacturing. When I fed a MPS plan as a supply schedule to an ASCP plan, no component's demand was created,(the planning method of top assembly is MPS, and the components' is MRP) the BOM was not exploded, while if the Item (BOM) is in a MDS plan, and I put the MDS plan to the ASCP plan as a demand schedule, the BOM is exploded. Anyone can explain why this happen? How can I fix this problem? I hope the ASCP plan process can create planned orders for components from MPS plan.

I think when the user guid said "input a MPS/MPP planning with critical components used as a demand schedule for a MRP..." it meant that you input an Advanced Supply Chain Plan with a type of Production Plan (also so-called MPS,maybe we can call it an "advaned MPS" ) or Distribution Plan(so-called MPP).That is a plan you define in the ASCP module. While my MPS plan is a plan I define in Material Planning module, maybe we can call it a "Traditional MPS".(It's a little tough to explain isn't it? :）)
And I can specify an Advanced Supply Chain Plan with a type of Production Plan (Advaned MPS)as a demand schedule for a ASCP plan (with a type of Manufacturing Plan),However,I cannot specify a Traditional MPS as a demand schedule for it.
I have to do this because I etablish a MPS manually, and there is not a form for me to input Items and their relevant information in the ASCP plan define form.So, I have to build a "Traditional MPS").
