Computation in between items in a region

Hi,
I have three items on a region
Item 1 Item 2 item 3
10 20 30
As soon as i enter 10 in item1 and 20 in item2 then item3 needs to be pupulated with the total of it.
Could any one guide me the processs of doing this.
Please advice
Kris

Kris,
This can be easily achieved using JavaScript. There is an example in one of the How To documents...
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/htmldb/howtos/htmldb_javascript_howto2.html#change
Please refer to the section 'Change the Value of Form Elements'.
Hope this helps,
Emilio.

  • Space between Items in a Region

    Hello,
How do I put a space/whitespace between items in a region?
For example I have to text fields on top of each other, I want to put some space between them without an input field?
    Regards,
    COlin.

    Hi Colin,
there is no need to create additional items to increase spaces.
Beter way to do this ( increase space between two items ) is:
    1. In form - go to Edit Page Item of the second item which folows the first one and put in the HTML Table Cell Attributes something like that: style="width:150";
That increase label colon of the second item. You must be attentive that the value must be greater than the text in label of second item is.
    2. In report - go to Page Definition -> Report Attributes -> Column Attributes ( of your column ) and than put in the CSS Sytle of Column formating section something like this: width:150px. In this way you would increase you field and in the same way increas space between the columns in report.

  • Can a button be easily moved between Items and Region Position?

When a button is originally defined, we have to choose whether it is to be placed amongst the items in the regions, or placed in a pre-established region position. Once the button is defined in to one of those places or the other, is there any way to "reassign" it into the other location, i.e. move it between "in the items" and "in a region position"?

  • Link between Item and delivery

    Hi ,
I want to know the link between item and deliveyr. Like for example, an sales order item ( no. 10) containing 10 quantities can be delviered 5 times( each containing 2 quantities) and line item ( no. 20) can contain one single delivery. I am working on a report where i have to link all the line item to its delivery number. I am trying to achieve this through GENIl but i am not able to indetify as to how to differentiate the different deliveyr numbers. In other words, can some one help me as to how to link the delivery number to its corresponding items?

Document flow is stored in the table VBFA in ECC.
VBELV fied is the sales order number and in POSNV specify the line item number and speicfy VBTYP_N = J (Delivery).

  • Way to "anchor" item in a Region Footer so it doesn't move relative ...

Now: Is there a way to "anchor" and item in a Region Footer so it doesn't move relative to the footer when the IE window is resized?
Was: Stop Region Footer Items from moving to Header when IE window is resized?
Using APEX 4.0.x under Oracle 11.2.y on Unix displaying to Windows 7.
I use #TIMING# in a Region Footer of a chart where it displays in the lower left-hand corner. The chart slightly more than fills the window so I want to shrink it. But when I change the "zoom level" of the IE window (under IE 8.0.7601.17514) to say, 96%, the timing value (e.g., 0.02) displayed moves from below the chart at the left to above the chart on the right-hand side. ???
Is there java / html that can be put in the Region Footer field with #TIMING# to prevent this?

It sounds like you are not running the latest software. Connect to itunes. Go to the summary screen for your ipod and check what version of the software it says you are running. If it does not say 1.1, then you need to update.
If it says 1.1, then I would suggest restoring.
If you are running the 1.1 version of the software, if you hold the larger "Sleep/Wake" button down for a few seconds, it should shut down the nano.

  • Unable to create item under a region

    Hi All,
I wanted to create a item under one region in a seeded page. When I went to Personalize page, next to the region where I need to create the item, I don't see the "Create Item" button. But for the other regions I see that button. Any ideas what could be done to enable this?
    Regards,
    Pradeep

    Hi,
It could be a dynamic region itself or a region extended.
If its a dynamic region, you will have to do Controller extension to extend it.

    Hi Joel,
Funny you mentioned it, because just today I was thinking about that, and I thought that if it will happen, I will rant you on your forum dereliction of duties. So it seems you’re off the hook now :)
Anyway, judging from the last 3.0/3.0.1 versions it seems like you are doing your other duties very well so I really don’t mind you keeping the lead.

  • Can't compute difference between symbols in different segments.

I have just compiled PostgreSQL with Sun Studio 9 (version #8 used to work nicely).
When compiling spinlock code on my sparc machine I get an error ...
/opt/SUNWspro/prod/bin/fbe: "/tmp/yabeAAAsfaizn", line 277: error: can't compute difference between symbols in different segments
    Failure in /opt/SUNWspro/prod/bin/fbe, status = 0x100
    Fatal Error exec'ing /opt/SUNWspro/prod/bin/fbe
    cc: acomp failed for s_lock.c
    gmake[4]: *** [s_lock.o] Error 2
I have no idea what this means and even google doesn't know. I wanted to look at the temporary file but somehow this file is cleaned up when fbe terminates. I have not found a flag preventing the software from doing that.
Can anybody point me to some documentation?
How can I find the problem? This code works with gcc and sun studio 8 by the way ...

Sorry for the late response but I was out doing business.
Here is the compiler version we are using:
    [postgres@unknown /]$ /opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc -V
    cc: Sun C 5.6 2004/07/15
This is the latest Sun Studio shipped with Fire 120 boxes for Sparc.
    [postgres@unknown /]$ uname -a
    SunOS unknown 5.8 Generic_108528-29 sun4u sparc SUNW,UltraAX-i2
Building a test case is a bit hard because I don't know what this error means and where it happens (I cannot preserv the file causing the error).
    What I am doing is building a recent version of PostgreSQL (ftp://ftp.postgresql.org/pub/latest/postgresql-8.0.0.tar.gz). I am not using any specific flags - here is my build script;
    #!/bin/sh
    LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/sfw/lib:/usr/local/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    # PATH=/opt/SUNWspro/bin/:/opt/sfw/bin:$PATH:/usr/ccs/bin
    PATH=/usr/ccs/bin:/usr/ccs/bin/:/opt/SUNWspro/bin/:/opt/sfw/bin::/usr/sbin:/usr/bin
    gmake distclean
    CC='/opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc'
    # CC='/opt/sfw/bin/gcc'
    export CC
    export PATH
    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    # ./configure prefix=/usr/local/pgsql disable-rpath enable-debug without-readline without-gnu-ld disable-spinlocks
    ./configure prefix=/usr/local/pgsql disable-rpath enable-debug without-readline --without-gnu-ld
    # ./configure prefix=/usr/local/pgsql enable-debug --without-readline
    gmake
    gmake check
The code producing the problem is related to spinlocks. s_lock.c contains platform specific code for various systems providing support for spinlocks (please refer to the tar archive I have sent you - s_lock.c is too long to post).
Here is what configure tells me (relevant lines):
    checking build system type... sparc-sun-solaris2.8
    checking host system type... sparc-sun-solaris2.8
checking which template to use... solaris

By the way; there are only VERY few parts in PostgreSQLwhich are platform dependent - there is a very nice and very good abstraction layer which abstracts all this locking stuff - the problem happens in Sun specific code and ONLY with Sun CC (not with gcc).
    Help is very much appreciated.

    Hello ApEx development team,
    What happened with this enhancement:

    Hi,
Yes, that would be an excellent enhancement!
I was just struggling with getting a "Display as" item (showing the total of the report) under a report. There was no way, it always displayed above the report, even with "Horizontal / Vertical Alignment: right bottom".
This post made me try to move the region from "Display Point: Page Template Body (3)" to "Display Point: Page Template Body (2)". Now it works fine...
    Vikas' proposal:
Yes, I had brought this up more than a year ago. This would allow us to use a WYSIWYG HTML editor to design a region template with #ITEM_NAME# substitutions in it and items with those names would be plopped into those positions.
    ...would be great indeed!

actually i am using apex 4.1 version, in that i created the tabular form as column region (display point is same and column=2)

  • Diff between Item Amount Check and Stochastic Block

    Hi,
what's the diff between Item Amount Check and Stochastic Block in LIV??

    Item Amount Check
The system calculates the sum of the value invoiced so far for the
order item and the value of the current invoice and compares it with
the value limit of the purchase order. It then compares the
difference with the upper percentage and absolute tolerances
    defined.
    Stochastic Block
You can block all invoices to check them again through Stochastic block automatically. If the stochastic block is active and you post an invoice that is not subject to any other blocking reason, it can be selected for blocking.
Please make a note that- A stochastic block is not set at item level, but for the whole invoice. If a stochastic block is set when you post the invoice, the system automatically sets an R in the field Payment block in the document header data; there is no blocking indicator in the individual items.
In Customizing for Invoice Verification, you can define:
    -If stochastic blocking is active
-The degree of probability of a block. You set a threshold value and a percentage for this.
If you enter a threshold value of zero and a percentage of 99.9%, all invoices would then be blocked automatically.

  • Difference between Item Cost and Last Evaluated Price

    Dear All,
What is the difference between Item Cost and Price in Last Evaluated Price List. Exactly when are they updated?
    Regards
    Sibasish

    Hi Sibasish,
The "Last Evaluated Price" is simply a price list but can't have a direct manipulation like other price lists. Its values may not involve in any accounting transactions if it's not selected for the concerned transaction any way.
On the other hand the item cost is the cost which is maintained by SAP B1 (until and unless you select the Standard Valuation Method), and it gets involved in the accounting transactions where inventory is involved. For e.g. the "COGS" is calculated on the basis of this value.
