'Computer Not Authorised' message, even tho it is!

When updating my ipod, I get the message that 66 songs can't be imported as my computer isn't authorised to play them. I've only ever used 2 computers with my account, a PC (which I no longer use) and my iBook.
When I check my itunes account it says that 2 computers are authorised but when I try to play one of the purchased songs, I have to authorise my iBook again.
I've tried highlighting my entire library then going into the store menu and authorising my iBook again but it looks like I'm going to have to go into each individual song and do it.... Surely there's an easier way?
What's gone wrong?

It might be a Authorization Problem try log-Out Then Log back in.
if still having the same problem try manually drag drop all of the song to your library authorize it and put it back on your iPod.
but still having problems re-checkup your iPod setting(Everything).
if not try emailing them about this problem and wait around 1 to 3 days for response.

  • Computer not authorised for syncing with iPhone with IOS 7

Unable to sync iPhone 4S (with IOS 7) to my PC.  Error message is that computer not authorised.  Have tried all on-line steps to rectify.  e.g. Control Panel User settings.
Anybody have any clues on this problem?

    Hi oxman78,
That definitely sounds frustrating! Let's give this a go to see if we can isolate the issue futher:
First, connect your device and choose the "Music" tab. Next, uncheck the "Sync Music" checkbox, and apply the changes (so there is ultimately no music syncing to your iPhone).
Once you have done that, recheck the "Sync Music" checkbox, and apply the changes once more. This will instruct iTunes to completely remove all music from your iPhone, and then copy the files once more. If you have a large amount of music, this initial sync may take a while.

Does anyone know how to update OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.1. to 10.8.2. on a late 2012 Mac mini. All I get are 'not compatible' messages even using supplementary updates etc?

It appears that many of the problems with the HDMI are the "monitors" that are being used. Samsung and Vizeo both DO NOT support a computer input on HDMI only VGA. There probably are others, manuals must be read to confirm compatability.
I strongly believe that the reason the 10.8.2 update was pulled is due to the fact (it happened to me) that the new Disk Utility creates a Fusion drive if aftermarket SSDs are added to the system. I think Apple wants this propriatary Fusion Drive to be something you buy from them not a "homebrew" for lots less money.

Is it normal for someone to have general diffuculty charging an ipad?  I see the "not charging" message even when I am using the charger and cord that came in the original box, plugged into a wall socket directly.  It is normal for me to plug it in overnight and to see no charge whatsoever the next day.  I have never had so much trouble using a friggin charger in my life.  It just seems to be exceedingly finicky.  What am I missing?

Charging your iPad should not be problematic. It should be an easy thing to do using the charger provided with your iPad connected to a known good wall outlet.
The charging problem you are experiencing is most like caused by:
    1. A faulty charger
    2. A faulty cable
    3. A bad wall outlet
    4. A problem in the iPad.
The first three of these are easiest to eliminate. Try a for ends charger and cable. Make absolutely sure your outlet is good. Try other outlets.
If the charger, cable and outlet a proven to be good then the problem lies in the iPad.

  • HT1420 'computer not authorised to play this song' however when I put in the new ID & password - it says it is authorised - I can get no further.

    Any one that can help?
CD was raised in 2008 on a different computer, tried to reload it tonight - all I get is 'this computer is not authorised to play this song'. It gives you the option to change the out of date ID name and password to my new one - fine, it comes up 'this computer is already authorised to play this song' - then when I try to play the song again it goes back to the 1st message. A circle with no way out!!!

  • When trying to back up i pad to mac it says computer not authorised, on 12 apps, i motorised computer but still says the same

when trying to back up my i pad to the mac it comes up this computer not autorised , i have followed instructions but still coming up on 12 products it will not transfer

Even though the computer is authorized for iTunes content, perhaps the apps were purchased with a different Apple ID and iTunes account than what you are signed into on your computer. Whichever account that you used to buy the apps, has to be the same account that you are using on the computer in order to transfer the purchases.

  • Computer not authorized message for purchases from itunes

I had my computer re-built and itunes does not recognize that I purchased  songs.  I have "re" - authorized the computer but keep getting the same message.  Also, when purchasing, I used an old email account that I cannot no longer access.
Suggestions to get access to the songs I purchased?

  • Bought 4 songs off an album. 3 play ok, but 1 says computer not authorised to play it. Stupid!

When we try to authorise the computer it says the computer is already authorised!

We fixed it. The song in question had downloaded as an acc audio file, whereas the other 3 had downloaded as 'purchased acc audio file's. We re-purchased it (for free) and all is ok now.

  • Computer not authorised. Need help badly.

When I connect my iPod touch 3g to my PC it automatically opens iTunes and starts syncing. Almost immediately after the syncing has started it tells me that my computer isn't authorized for some of the apps on my iPod. Then I have three options Authorize, don't authorize and cancel.
If I press cancel the whole syncing is canceled.
If I press don't authorize it removes all of my apps.
If I press Authorize it asks me to log in to my apple account, when I’ve logged in it sais connecting to iTunes store. Three seconds after that it sais computer already authorized. So I press OK and then the whole thing pops up again!
So now I’m stuck not knowing what to do, I’ve downloaded new songs to iTunes which won't sync to my iPod. I have also tried restoring my iPod but then my computer won't sync my apps to my iPod, and if I download all of my apps again from the app store on my iPod the whole thing re-occurs
Please help me, I’m all out of ideas.

  • Since updating to 7.1 my Facetime on Ipad4 not finding network even tho wifi is working for internet etc

Since updating to 7.1 earlier this week. I was able to use factime for a few days and today it logged me out. My network wifi connection is working and the internet works on the iPad4. I can not use the Messaging or Facetime applications on the Ipad.  I restarted, reset network settings, turned router and Ipad off and restarted, and hit the home + off button simultaneously and nothing worked! Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello Shirley,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with FaceTime.  I recommend reviewing the full article below, but the following section specifically stands out to me for the issue you described:
    Wi-Fi network issues
Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is set up using the recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points.
If you encounter issues using a Wi-Fi network, use standard Wi-Fi network troubleshooting to resolve interference and other issues.
If you are using router, firewall, or security software that restricts Internet access, verify that the ports documented in Using FaceTime behind a Firewall are open.
FaceTime requires a broadband connection. Performance may vary according to network throughput and usage.

  • Computer not authorised??

    Hi,
I have an iMac, iPhone and iPad and only one app store account which I use on all three.
Recently I purchased a tv series on my iPad, however whenever I dock my iPhone, it keeps telling me to authorise my iMac.  I authorise it and it's the only 1 of my 5 allotment that is used but the error keeps coming up.
I'm not sure how to take this forward and get the programmes onto my iPhone - can anyone help?
