Below is the solution provide by the SR Team its works perfectly our enviorment.
Please perform the following steps:
1. Stop all middle tier services including the concurrent managers. Make sure no FNDLIBR, FNDSM, or other dead processes are running.
(restart application and database OS (i have done this step additionally))
2. Stop and then restart the database.
3. Connect to SQLPLUS as APPS user and run the following :
EXEC FND_CONC_CLONE.SETUP_CLEAN;
COMMIT;
EXIT;
4. Reference Note.260887.1 regarding the Steps to Clean Nonexistent Nodes or IP Addresses from FND_NODES.
5.. Run AutoConfig on all tiers, firstly on the DB tier and then the APPS tiers and Web tiers to repopulate the required system tables.
6. Connect to SQLPLUS as APPS user and run the following statement :
select CONCURRENT_QUEUE_NAME
from FND_CONCURRENT_QUEUES
where CONCURRENT_QUEUE_NAME like 'FNDSM%';
If the above SQL does not return any value please do the following:
cd $FND_TOP/patch/115/sql
Connect to SQLPLUS as APPS user and run the following script :
SQL> @afdcm037.sql;
Reference Note 218893.1 How to Create The Service Manager 'FNDSM' on Oracle Applications
to create libraries for FNDSM and create managers for preexisting nodes.
Check again that FNDSM entries now exist:
select CONCURRENT_QUEUE_NAME
from FND_CONCURRENT_QUEUES
where CONCURRENT_QUEUE_NAME like 'FNDSM%';
7. Please run the Concurrent Manager Recovery feature to address any Concurrent Manager / Concurrent Processing issues within the Oracle Application Manager.
8. Start the middle tier services including your concurrent manager.
9. Retest the issue.

Usman

  • TNS: getServer failed for index

    Hi everyone,
i have installed TREX 7 & have created 1 index... it works fine & i am able to search files from EP.....
but i created a identical index using the same CM (Different Folder of course)... but it doesn't get index... the index tries to Optimize the index & fails.... with "Index Optimization failed" status in the queue...
in the trace file i found "TNS: getServer failed for index xxxxx" repeatedly......
also i noticed that if i give a folder with a small number of files... the same index works fine.. but if i give a folder with around 100MB, then the indexing goes into Optimizing & fails.....
    can anyone please help....

It was a migration from one machine to another, where a TREX was already running. Then TREX was upgraded from
    SP 9 to SP 16.
Portal and KM has been upgraded as well from SP 9 to SP 16.
Couldn't it be a TREX misconfiguration due to the copy of TREX configuration files from one machine to another?

  • Best Buy 100% Price Match Guarantee FAIL for Elite Plus member!!!

So during the Black Friday weekend I purchased a Dyson vacuum at a store.  I understand that Best Buy does not match pricing DURING Black Friday weekend.  So on 12/15 Amazon had the vacuum on sale for $26 less than what I paid.  Again, this is not Black Friday weekend but the item was purchased over Black Friday weekend.  So I called in for Best Buy to match the price.  I spoke with someone who seemed like temp help.  It did not sound like she was in a call center and she didn't know much and seemed to be IM'n with someone to get answers.  After initially telling me they would not match the price because the item was purchased during Black Friday I explained that it was no longer Black Friday and Best Buy policy does not obsolve them from matching prices for the next 5-6 weeks (the return date is 1/15/2015) from all items purchased over Black Friday weekend.  If so, no one would buy during Black Friday.  She said she would submit the price match and I would get an email letting me know if it has been approved.  I was patient and waited 2 weeks and nothing.  I called back and was told that the price match department was swamped and to please be patient.  So I waited till today to call back for the return date is in 2 days and still no price match email.  I am now being told that Best Buy only matches their own pricing if not at the time of sale AND they only match the price that same day when they can confirm the price. (which makes sense)  I'm also being told my price match was never sent to the correct department so it has been sitting in case # purgatory for the past month.  Why is any of this my fault?!  I spend over $3500 per year, year after year and I'm supposed to get 'Elite' service.  I know more than the people I'm speaking with on the phone!  I called in with a legit lower price, waited patiently for Best Buy to match, have now spoken with 3 different reps, been told something different each time about the price match policy (every time they were wrong) and now I'm being told because it wasn't matched when they could confirm the price they won't match the price?!  What am I missing?!
Total Price Match FAIL for Elite Plus member!!!  I can only image how people that aren't Elite are treated! :-)

    Dear iamkraz,
Thank you for bringing us your business this holiday and for your continued loyalty to us as a My Best Buy Elite Plus customer. I am sorry if your recent experience has left you disappointed after the service you received. I would be happy to help clarify this for you.
Per our Price Match Guarantee, “At the time of sale, we price match all local retail competitors (including their online prices) and we price match products shipped from and sold by these major online retailers: Amazon.com, Bhphotovideo.com, Crutchfield.com, Dell.com, HP.com, Newegg.com, and TigerDirect.com.” The only price match we would perform after the initial time of sale would be to a lower price in store or on BestBuy.com during your respective Return & Exchange period. You should have been provided with this as the reason for not receiving the price match when you were speaking with our support teams.
My apologies for any confusion this caused. I would like to get some more details from you about the conversations you had so I may properly document this here at the corporate level for coaching and training. Please check your private messages by clicking on the envelope in the upper right-hand corner while you are logged into the forums.

  • Process_order api - Validation Failed for Field Bill To

I am relatively new to the EBS world and I'm having some issues with calling the OE_Order_Pub.Process_order API. When I call this API I am getting a return error of "Validation failed for field - Bill To".
For a background...I have an APEX application where users can choose parts from a small part master list to add to an existing order. The existing order will not have a status of Closed or Cancelled and there will be atleast 1 line in the order before the new parts are added. The parts will be added as new lines to the order with some of the new line data defaulting to the same information as the first line. I am using EBS version 12.1.3 with a multi-org setup. It seems that the orders under one org (id=3) are working fine, but another org(id=569) they never work and keep getting the error. I am setting the context to the org of the order and initializing the apps user information with the responsibility "Order Management Super User".
Do you have any idea what could be wrong or how I can debug the error to get a little more detail?
Here is the procedure I have.

    Hello,
    Try the following
    1) Check if any processing constraints are applied to customer/location
    2) Try to create a new customer and associate internal location.
Create a new order to reproduce the issue
    Thanks

  • Reports successfully execute but generate a login failed for user 'sa' err

I am running Crystal Reports Server XI R2. Classic ASP is used to generate embedded reports within our application. The crystal reports use ODBC to connect to a SQL Server 2005 database. The reports successfully generate in our Classic ASP application. However in SQL Server 2005,  the following error messages are being generated each time a crystal report is ran:
    - Login failed for user 'sa'.
    - Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 8.
We know that we are passing the correct username/password to the crystal reports, becuase they execute successfully.
It appears that when the report is called, Crystal Reports appears to conect to SQL Server using a username/password that we didn't provide it at execution time, this fails and the SQL Server 'login failed for user' is generated. Then it runs the report using the username/password we provide and it successfully generates a report.
I have ran Profiler against the SQL Server Database and the 'Login failed for user 'sa' ' errors have a ApplicationName of either 'Seagate Crystal Reports' or 'Crystal Reports'. Therefore I know it is Crystal Reports generating these errors in SQL Server.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop these SQL Server 'Login failed for user 'sa' ' errors being generated?

What happens if you use Profiler when running the report using Crystal Report Designer?
If the report is ran through Crystal Report Designer, NO 'Login failed for user' error messages appear in profiler. Everything looks ok when ran in Designer.
Also, need to know what patch level you are on?
We are running Crystal Reports Server XI Release 2, Version: 11.5.8.8265
No additional patchs have been applied since Crystal Reports Server was installed.
We may try the SA account if one of the connections fail to log on with the credentials you provided. Verify the user you logged on with has rights to all tables.
The reports were running through our application using the SA account. The SA account has permissions to these tables. The reports do generate results and appear perfectly fine in the application.  The issue is that when our application requests the report from Crystal Reports Server. Crystal Reports Server delivers the correct report to our application. However during the process to generate the report, 'login failed for user 'sa' ' errors are being generated in SQL Server 2005.
Also, I have tried creating a completely new SQL user called 'crystaluser'. I ran the report using Crystal Report Designer and used the crystaluser logon and saved the report. Then I ran the same report through our application. SQL Profiler will then display 'login failed for user 'crystaluser''.
Its seems as though Crystal Reports Server is first executing the report using the default SQL user saved with the report, but is either sending a blank password or no password at all. This generates the 'login failed for user' in SQL Server 2005. But it then uses the SQL username/password my application gives it and successfully generates the report. Of course this is only speculation.

  • Login failed for user 'IIS APPPOOL\DefaultAppPool' on SQL Express 2012

I am new to both ASP.NET and SQL Server.
I have IIS8 installed on my Windows 8 PC, together with SQL Server Express 2012. Given my ignorance, I have just set everything up using default values.
I have a very small web site set up in its own folder and set up in IIS 8 as a virtual folder under the default web site. I have also set up a very simple database called 'StockControl' via SSMS, which contains one table called 'Colours' which has two columns.
One page in the website is a simple ASP.NET form which runs on localhost without any problems.
On the second page in the website I added a GridView ASP.NET control, letting Expression Web 4 generate the connection string and place it in a web.config file. I tested the SQL query and the connection as I went along and both came back as successful. So
far, so good. However, when I try to run the page in the browser I get the error message:
    Server Error in '/' Application.
Cannot open user default database. Login failed.
Login failed for user 'IIS APPPOOL\DefaultAppPool'.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
Exception Details: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Cannot open user default database. Login failed.
Login failed for user 'IIS APPPOOL\DefaultAppPool'.
    Source Error:
An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.
    Stack Trace:
[SqlException (0x80131904): Cannot open user default database. Login failed.
Login failed for user 'IIS APPPOOL\DefaultAppPool'.]
I have spent two days trying to find out what I have done wrong and even uninstalled and re-installed SQL Server just in case i'd totally messed up and corrupted the database.
I would really appreciate some help please.

I changed the IIS default identity to NetworkService and got this error instead
Unable to open the physical file "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA\StockControl.mdf". Operating system error 32: "32(The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.)".
An attempt to attach an auto-named database for file C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA\StockControl.mdf failed. A database with the same name exists, or specified file cannot be opened, or it is located on UNC share.
There is nothing running that is using the database.
I have also set a login up for the Apppool and set the user mapping to the database but the problem persists,
What is so infuriating is that a week ago I had several pages in this website that displayed, inserted, updated and deleted records on this database using ADO as well as ASP.NET running just fine. Then this problem came out of nowhere.

    PS:
I need the LDAP server for playing with a JAAS LDAP login module and something minimal would be enough. Is there something easier to install than OpenLDAP?

I fail to understand why you're taking all this trouble. Both the Berkeley DB as OpenLDAP are both shipped with Solaris 10/x86 natively. Look into the so called companion cd / dvd. That makes setting all of this up a piece of cake.
Another option could be looking into Blastwave or Sun Freeware.

  • BI Server Fails for No Apparent Reason

    Hi,
I have a problem I cannot explain in that our BI Server continually fails for no apparent reason.
We have OBIEE+ installed on Windows Server 2003 together with Oracle 10g. The OTM Advanced Analytics repository &.catalog has been installed with the OTM (Full HDOWNER /limited GLOGOWNER) database under pinning it (without a full OTM installation) because there is a need for an FTI environment for users to 'play' with but infratructure limitations prevent a full-blown OTM installation. The setup is unorthodox but the environment does work except for this issue.
The BI Server fails on a regular basis. I cannot find any reports in the NQSServer Log (or any other log I can think of) that points to the cause or indeed that it has actually gone down - the only clue that it has failed is the startup entry resulting from the restart of the service.
To minimise impact I have written a cmd file task that is invoked whenever the BI Server goes down - this shuts down the Presentation Server and Java Host services and then starts all the tasks in the required sequence. The resultant log from this task shows that the BI server goes down every 30 minutes. Obviously something is triggered every half-hour. So I have trawled through the various config files for a clue of what this could be but I can't find anything obvious.
In the repository Administrator, I have suspended all initiallisation blocks of repository variables except for those that are required and the refresh of those remaining is limited to 0600hrs daily so these should not contribute to this issue.
I would be grateful for any suggestions.

    Hi John,
We are running the environment on a VM server with Windows Server 2003 installed with 2GB ram and 50GB disk space. Beyond that, I'm not sure what memory measurement your asking for. Currently the server is running at 1.39 GB memory usage with NQSSever currently using 50MB of that. So it still has 0.6GB of memory it can call on if needed. When I open up a dashboard from a remote workstation, the memory usage inceases to about 55MB.
I have already gone through the NQSConfig.ini file and increased space allocations, for example MAX_CACHE_ENTRY_SIZE = 10 MB (Increased from 1MB) but these changes had no effect.
Exactly which memory measurement are you after?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
we had this at one point. It indicates that you have 'inconsistencies' in the kernel. You should probably at least get the DW patch for the same level. If there is a complete kernel out right now, I would go with that.
Please check the Forumalso, there have been several threads regarding the kernel in the last couple of weeks.
    Regards,

  • Leopard (10.5) error: " EXCEPTION: Reverification failed for..."

I went on the road for a week (while I'm on the road PHDs don't sync) and when I returned and tried to sync my changes I'm getting all sorts of errors. Some errors seem to have cleared themselves up after several sync (which is bothering in and of itself) however I'm getting persistent errors that are called "reverification" errors (see below). Does anyone have any idea what these errors mean???? By the way these files are not getting sync'ed, yet I'm not getting any messages popping up to the user, the only way I even noticed is because after the first sync some files where still the old copies on the server, I had to go to the logs to try to find the errors.
Here's an example of just one:

Thanks for the input, this was helpful, however problem still not solved. This is very ugly if you ask me and very disappointing as PHDs have seem to have been nothing but problematic forever.
Yesterday I took a different approach to try to clear this particular problem. I manually mounted the AFP share and then one by one for each of the files that I was getting errors on, I copied the newer file over the older file.
To make matters worse, when I was comparing the files I noticed other files in the same directory that were out of sync and had NOT been generating errors. In other words these files had been silently not updating!!!! So I copied these files as well, but some had to go up to the server and some ad to go down.
Then a ran a manual sync. Interestingly I got conflicts that I had to resolve on the files that had been getting the errors, even though they were now the exact same file. The info for the file, displayed in the conflict resolution window, was the old file info even though that info was no longer correct since the two files now matched.
So I just tried your advice and took one folder that had in it both files that some were updating and that some were not updating and renamed the folder. I then ran a manual resync. At the end of the sync, basically all FileSyncAgent had done was copy the older named folder from the server to the local copy and the local newer named folder up to the server. So I now have TWO copies of ALL the data in BOTH places. However, that doesn't help much as I'm still going to have to go through and find the latest copies of all the files and over write the older copies, basically the same thing I did yesterday.
To further complicate things, as I've been typing this, another sync kicked off and during that sync it tried to move files from the older folder to the newer named folder, but gave me "Directory Not Empty" errors.
This is so frustrating. At this point I have no idea how many files are out of sync or what the best way to fix this is.

  • Inbound Adapter / 'Sink' failing for Content Server on Subscription Client

I am running into an issue in configuring the Outbound - Inbound Adapters for Connection Server / Subscription Client against Content Server. The details are below. Would sincerely appreciate if anyone can help with this.
I have installed a Oracle UCM setup together with two Content Server instances (Contribution instance and Live instance), a Connection Server and a Subscription Client - all within the same virtual machine on top of Windows XP SP2 OS and Oracle 10g Database.
I have further configured the Outbound Adapter on the Connection Server and the Inbound Adapter on the Subscription Client. All installation and configuration has been done following the step-by-step process from the relevant installation guides.
We have tested the connectivity between the Connection Server and the Subscription Client for a simple file-based content source and it works fine - i.e., files added to a directory registered as a source on connection server are retrieved and sent to the subscription client and received there successfully / dropped in the specified target client directory.
However, this transfer fails for the Content Server Outbound-Inbound Adapter connectivity. We have an Archive in Content Server registered as a "CNSArchive" and exporting successfully to the CNS Server. The registered outbound adapter is successfully able to receive these updates and are visible through the Connection Server
interface. The subscription client is also apparently able to receive these updates
    correctly and writes them to the specified folder/directory on the client;
however fails to "batch load" these and reports a failure writing to the
    Content Sink.
What we would like is for the ability to establish end-to-end connectivity between the contribution content server instance and the live content server using the connection server + outbound adapter on the sending end together with the subscription client + inbound adapter together on the receiving end. This is failing.
I have double checked the cns.oracle.config (connection server config), siclone.config (subscription client config), and the source content server's configuration (config.cfg), and all seems to be well. Not really sure therefore what is causing this.
Here is a snippet of the error trace that keeps showing up in the subscription client logs ...

Don't know if anyone is still having problems with this, but just in case...
I was getting a similar error. I had an Event Viewer record (It wasn't a Warning or an Error, just an Information) reading:You are running a version of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (also called MSDE) that has known security vulnerabilities when used in conjunction with this version of Windows. To reduce your computer's vulnerability to certain virus attacks, the TCP/IP and UDP network ports of Microsoft SQL Server 2000, MSDE, or both have been disabled. To enable these ports, you must install a patch, or the most recent service pack for Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or MSDE from http://www.microsoft.com/sql/downloads/default.asp
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
I installed SQL SP4 and it corrected the problem

  • Lookup of alternativeServiceIdentifier via CPA-cache failed for channel

    Hi,
In RFC(ECC) to File(PI) scenaio  i am facing the following error in sender CC:
Error in processing caused by: com.sap.aii.adapter.rfc.afcommunication.RfcAFWException: lookup of alternativeServiceIdentifier via CPA-cache failed for channel SND_RFC
-CC' (f455868123qq3bba4c3dc3dbf93ed1b, party '', schema 'TechnicalSystem', identifier 'ECC#110')
I have done the following for RFC to File scenario:
    ECC side:
    1. Created a RFC and tagged it to BAPI
    2. In the ABAP program, i am calling the RFC like below:
    CALL FUNCTION 'Z_HR_OUTBOUND_DATA2'
    IN BACKGROUND TASK DESTINATION 'Z_HR_OUTBOUND_DATA2'
    EXPORTING
    INTERFACE =
    IMPORTING
    FILENAME = FILENAME
    RETURN = RETURN
    TABLES
    ITAB10 = ITAB10
    P_STATUS = P_STATUS
    COMMIT WORK.
    3. Created a RFC destination using SM59
    RFC detination : Z_HR_OUTBOUND_DATA2
    Connection type : TCP/IP
    Enabled Registered Server Program
    Program ID : ECCTOPI_OUTBOUND
Gateway host : ECC's host number
Gateway service : ECC's service number.
    In PI side:
    I have created :
    1 DT for File Rcvr
    1 MT for File Rcvr
1 SI for File Rcvr (async)
1 MM (sender RFC and receiver File)
    1 OM
1 CC with RFc as sender with the following parameters:
    Communication component : ECC's component
application server (gateway) : ecc's gateway
    application server service(Gateway) : ecc's service number
    Program id : ECCTOPI_OUTBOUND
    inital connections 1
    max. connections 1
And also gave ecc's details in application server , s/y number, auth. mode, logon user ,
    pwd, ecc's client number
1 CC with File adapter and file content conversion
    1 receiver determination
    1 interface determination
    1 sender agreement
    1 receiver agreement
When i am executing the ABAP program in R/3 I am getting the following error:
Error in processing caused by: com.sap.aii.adapter.rfc.afcommunication.RfcAFWException: lookup of alternativeServiceIdentifier via CPA-cache failed for channel SND_RFC
-CC' (f455868123qq3bba4c3dc3dbf93ed1b, party '', schema 'TechnicalSystem', identifier 'ECC#110')
Please let me know if any of my steps are wrong and how to rectify this error and make
    the scenario working.
    Thanks for your help.

I have mentioned the Adapter specific parameters properly.
    It contains :
    For ECC s/y(i.e for RFC)
       Logical system :  DECCLNT120
       R/3 system ID : DEC
       Client 120
    For PI (i.e for File)
       Logical system :  DPICLNT100
       R/3 system ID : DPI
       Client 100
Since i am sending the Response of the RFc to the file, i have used a Service interface where i am passing the RFC.Response as Request.
if i am passing the RFC directly as i/p in Source operation of Operation mapping then it doesn't pick up the response in the souce message of the mapping program present in Operation mapping.
So i am passing the same SI_Sender_RFC in the Sender Agreement and  it gives the error:
Error in processing caused by: com.sap.aii.adapter.rfc.afcommunication.RfcAFWException: senderAgreement not found: lookup of binding via CPA-cache failed for AdapterType RFC, AdapterNS http://sap.com/xi/XI/System, direction INBOUND, fromParty '', fromService 'DEC_RFC', toParty '', toService '', interface 'Z_HR_OUTBOUND_DATA2', NS 'urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions' for channel 'CC_LOTUSNOTES_OUTBOUND_SND_RFC' (channelId c78f5a88787131a09384c07c2db0e93b)
    why is it so?

    Hi Thorsten,
Please check the user used for registration of Diagnostic agent to Solution Manager has appropriate roles assigned (e.g. user SMD_ADMIN)
Also please update to latest patch of SAP Host agent and then try again.
    Hope this helps
    Thanks & Regards,
