Conditional concat in mediator transformation

Hi!
I have 5 address line fields which should be concatenated two one big address field. If one of the line fields is filled then before next field should be concatened additional line break.
Does anybody know how to solve this in the xsl editor of oracle mediator?
kind regards
Torsten

I will not dig into much of XSL concepts but general idea is to declare a variable which holds the line break character and this variable can be used to introduce line breaks as and when required based on the null check of your source item.
Note that line break character will vary based on OS.
For ex: In windows line break can be introduced by using line-feed (#xA).
In linux the same can be achieved by using carriage-return(#xD#x85).
To give a brief idea, it should be something similar to below with additional condition check.
<xsl:variable name="source item 1">null</xsl:variable>
<xsl:variable name="source item 2">denver street 5</xsl:variable>
<xsl:variable name="source item 3">postbox 6</xsl:variable>
<xsl:variable name="source item 4">null</xsl:variable>
<xsl:variable name="source item 5">Germany</xsl:variable>
<xsl:variable name="lineBreak"><xsl:text>&#xD;&#x85;</xsl:text></xsl:variable>
<xsl:template match="/">
<!-- Use conditional check for source item 1-->
<if null>
<xsl:value-of select="$lineBreak"/>
<otherwise>
<xsl:value-of select="<actual-xpath-value>"/>
<!-- Repeat for all source items -->
</xsl:template>
Hopefully this should work.

  • Conditional mapping in the transformation file

    Hi
    Can anyone tell me if it is possible to perform more complex mapping when loading transactional data? I have 2 requirements:
    1. When the Profit Centre is invalid, set it to a default value of "9999".  Where an invalid Profit Centre is a Profit Centre that does not exist as a valid dimension member.
    2. When the Profit Centre is null, then set it to a default value based on the Entity value.
        For example:
        When the Profit Centre is null and the Entity = 100, set the profit centre to 1000.
        When the Profit Centre is null and the Entity = 200, set the profit centre to 2038. etc
    Ideally I would like to define the mapping rules in either transformation or conversion files.
    Regards, Sharon

    What I can think right now is
    Case 1:
    If you're with BPC 7.0 NW, there is no option to accept not existing member and store it with a default value(Correct me if I'm wrong).
    But you can enable VALIDATERECORDS=YES in the transformation file to output the rejected records with wrong dimension member into a file. Since we need all the rejected records and keep processing the current import, set MAXREJECTCOUNT=-1.
    Next do additional task in your import package to rename all the rejected Profit Center with the default value (9999) and do re-import again.
    Limitation: this will work only if you want to do fix on 1 dimension  in this case the Profit Center. If you need to do fix on multiple dimension, this would not work because the rejected records could be caused by any dimension. So you're lucky in your case.
    If you're with BPC 7.5 NW, use DM BADI to do what you want.
    Case 2:
    You can use IF in your mapping section, for example:
    ProfitCenter=*IF(ProfitCenter = *str(),*IF(Entity=100,*str(1000),...),ProfitCenter)

  • Mediator Transform Mapper not parsing WSDL correctly?

    I'm using JDev 11.1.1.5.0 to build a SOA composite. I've defined the WebService wsdl using the JDev widget for creating a wsdl and generate the following:
    <?xml version= '1.0' encoding= 'UTF-8' ?>
    <wsdl:definitions
    name="LogWriter"
    targetNamespace="http://oracle.com/sca/soapservice/sqSOASandbox/LogWriter/LogWriter"
    xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/"
    xmlns:inp1="http://xmlns.oracle.com/singleString"
    xmlns:tns="http://oracle.com/sca/soapservice/sqSOASandbox/LogWriter/LogWriter"
    >
    <wsdl:types>
    <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <xsd:import namespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/singleString" schemaLocation="xsd/singleString.xsd"/>
    </xsd:schema>
    </wsdl:types>
    <wsdl:message name="requestMessage">
    <wsdl:part name="logLevel" element="inp1:singleString"/>
    <wsdl:part name="sendingApp" element="inp1:singleString"/>
    <wsdl:part name="logMessage" element="inp1:singleString"/>
    <wsdl:part name="logTimestamp" element="inp1:singleString"/>
    </wsdl:message>
    <wsdl:portType name="execute_ptt">
    <wsdl:operation name="execute">
    <wsdl:input message="tns:requestMessage"/>
    </wsdl:operation>
    </wsdl:portType>
    </wsdl:definitions>
    I then create a FileAdapter and create its WSDL using a sample, comma-delimited file.
    I next create a mediator, create the connections from web service to mediator, and from mediator to file adapter.
    Now, I run into a problem when creating the web service-to-file adapter mappings - the xsl building tool seems to mis-parse the web service wsdl. Can't supply a screenshot, so will try to record what the JDev widget shows for the web-service wsdl in the "left swim lane":
    *<sources>
    - *in.sendingApp
    --- <>inp1:singleString
    - *in.logTimestamp
    --- <>inp1:singleString
    - *in.logMessage
    --- <>inp1:singleString
    - <>inp1:singleString
    Note that one would expect to see - *in.logLevel as the second-to-last line, with the last line being a child of the logLevel element. The representation of the file adapter interface in the "right swim lane" looks fine.
    Is this a known bug?

    I am seeing this issue with 11g also...does anyone have a resolution?

  • BPC:  Conditional Formulas in Transformation Files, Possible?

    Hi All,
    I have an issue where I have a standard conversion file for the Account dimension, however for certain accounts the account is also dependent on the Entity ID.  Rather than writing several conversion files to maintain for each entity I am wondering if the following is possible:
    Is it possible to write some sort of conditional formatting in the transformation file such as:
    If (stringAccount)= "XXX" then (stringAccount) + (stringEntity) and go pick up conversion file A, else (stringAccount) and pick up conversion file B
    Conversion File A would have Entity/Account combo as the External account, and the Internal account would be the account for that specific Entity.  (I actually have this stored as a property on each entity but currently its assumed that some sort of dynamic EVPRO/property defintion will not function in a conversion file.)
    Conversion File B would be my standard conversion file.
    I am thinking that I this might be possible but need assitance in the syntax for the transformation file.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    I think I have figured out how I am going to do this, my co-worker suggested the solution is more simple than I was making it out to be:
    my transformation file will be:
    Account= Accountstring + Entitystring
    then int he conversion file i will have the following:
    1001*              1001
    1002*              1002
    1003EntityA     1013
    1003EntityB     1023
    1003EntityC     1033
    1004*               1004
    Only thing is that I will have to hardcode, rather than using the property...

    Hi,
    I'm building a dom tree in memory with oracle xml parser. Then I transform the dom document into a string to send xml to the client. But I get an fatal error on calling transform.
    I don't know what could be the problem, because apache and weblogic parser works, an when I create a dom document with org.w3c.dom elements and statements then the xml document can't be invalid,

    I'm using oracle xml parser 9.2.0.4 for java, bea weblogic 7.0 and win2k.

    Best regards
    Benno

    Thanks for all answers so far. Changing the sequence is not a "problem". What I want to achieve is to change hierarchy of the xml. I'll try to explain again with a simple example:
    ITAB (structure):
    name; birthday; ***; first name
    ITAB (content):
    Smith; 01.01.1970; M; Paul
    Smith; 01.01.1970; F; Stefanie
    Smith; 01.02.1980; F; Barbara
    White; 01.02.1980; M; Steve
    I want to pass the itab exactly the way it is (ok, sorting is allowed). Question: Can I achieve the following XML's using ST? I guess/hope this can be solved with variables/groups/condition statements within the transformation coding?
    Example xml- 1) Sorted/Grouped by Name/***
    <person>
                    <name>Smith
                                 <***>M
                                       <birthday>01.01.1970</birthday><first name>Paul</first name>
                                 </***>
                                 <***>F
                                       <birthday>01.01.1970</birthday><first name>Stefanie</first name>
                                       <birthday>01.02.1980</birthday><first name>Barbara</first name>
                                 </***>
                    </name>
                    <name>White
                                 <***>M
                                       <birthday>01.02.1980</birthday><first name>Steve</first name>
                                 </***>
                    </name>
    </person>
    Exampe xml-2 ) Sorted/Grouped by Birthday (Names only)
    <person>
                    <birthday>01.01.1970
                                 <first name>Paul</first name>
                                 <first name>Stefanie</first name>

  • Help required on XSLT Conditional Mapping

    Hi,
    We need help on XSLT mapping in BPEL based on a condition. We are transforming from OAG format to a client specific format. We need to map a single tag (but repetitive) on the left hand side (OAG) to different tags on the right hand side. The same tag on the left hand side repeats with different values. Depending on the value the mapping to the right hand side varies. The left hand side (OAG) looks something like this.
    <PARTNER>
    <PARTNRID>2002</PARTNRID>
    <PARTNRTYPE>Supplier</PARTNRTYPE>
    <ADDRESS>
    <ADDRLINE index="1">2000 Century Way</ADDRLINE>
    </ADDRESS>
    </PARTNER>
    <PARTNER>
    <PARTNRID>204</PARTNRID>
    <PARTNRTYPE>BillTo</PARTNRTYPE>
    <ADDRESS>
    <ADDRLINE index="1">90 Fifth Avenue</ADDRLINE>
    </ADDRESS>
    </PARTNER>
    Please note that the tag PARTNER and it's underlying tags appear twice in the XML file.
    Based on the value in the tag PARTNRTYPE, the mapping to the right hand side differs. If the value is 2002, PARTNRID should map to Supplier ID on the right hand side and if the value is 24, PARTNRID should map to BillTo ID on the right hand side. The right hand side should look something like
    <Supplier>
    <SupplierID>2002</SupplierID>
    <Address>2000 Century Way</Address>
    </Supplier>
    <BillTo>
    <BillToID>204</BillToID>
    <Address>90 Fifth Avenue</Address>
    </BillTo>
    Please let us know how to achieve this. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • Relate to Transformations ?

    Hi All,
    Can anyone explain what are the disadvantages using Transformations while using mediator transformations ?

    Can anyone explain what are the disadvantages using Transformations while using mediator transformations ?Compared to what?

  • HL7 Messages are not transforming.

    Hi,
    My composite is picking HL7 message from file adapter and i want to insert some of few elements in database. After transformation null values goes in database. If i give hard code values like current date, then it get inserted properly in database. I tested mediator transformation values by using test button in mediator transformation , that time it showing all the values properly.
    Composite flow is like this,
    (Picking HL7 ADT_28 Messages)File Adapter------------->Mediator--------------->Database Adapter
    Thanks,
    Shrikant.

    HI,
    Whenever we set the sender communication channel as FTP/NFS and Quality of Service as Exctactly Once in Order , such
    mesasges will process through the Adapter engineEOIO sequence monitoring tool.
    Sometimes, the status of the messages in the message monitoring of the adapter framework is Holding status.
    To clear the holding status messages from Adapter engine we need to follow the step by step procedure as mentioned below.
    Step 1.
    http://hostname:port/MessagingSystem --->click on EOIO Sequence monitor.
    If messages are stuck then you can see HOLD and NDLV status.
    HOLD   reprasents holding the messages in adapter engine in EOIO queue.
    NDLV  reprasents the messages not delivered to Integration Server.
    To clear these messages click on the message key number.
    Step 2:
    Click on the redeliver button and see the status. If messages still not process then we need to cancel the failed message by clicking on Delete option.
    refer the below links
    http://www.saptechies.com/how-to-deal-with-stuck-eoio-messages-in-the-xi-30-adapter-framework/
    thanks and regards,
    kesava.

  • OIM 11.1.1.5.3 vs Siebel Connector log

    Hi all,
    I have a problem with OIM Siebel connector log file.
    More in details: since I patched OIM from the version 11.1.1.5.0 to the 11.1.1.5.3 one (BP03 - patch ID 14891027), the Siebel Connector stops to log its normal operations (except errors).
    Obviously I didn't change the Siebel Connector log configuration between two versions.

    I had a liitle progress here. For the missing mandatory fields, once you are done the mapping during the creation of GTC, go to Design Console to add mandatory fields, such as user type which is not available in the creation process of GTC. Please see:
    => http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/fmw/oim/10.1.4/oim/obe12_using_gtc_for_reconciliation/using_the_gtc.htm#t5
    Now actually I have exactly the same proplem as this one:
    => Re: Creating GTC in OIM 11g (11.1.1.3.0)
    => Event Recieved
    => Data Validation Succeded
    => No User Match Found
    => Creation Faild
    => Notes: ORA Error Code =>ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into () ORA Error Stack =>ORA-06512: at DEV_OIM.OIM_SP_RECONBLKUSERCRUD", line 722
    I am looking into this, will keep you posted.
