Conditions is not displaying the required result

Hi Experts
i have a query with Key figure (calculated on query level) No of days and i have created a condition with characterstic assignment all chars and created a condition on this key figure no of days, eventhough i have enough values which satisfiy the condition but my query is just displaying over all result
what could be the reason.
thanks and regards
Neel

Hi all
Edwin, how are you after a long time...
The chars in my query are
fiscal char, pur org, vendor, document date, no of days
here the no of days is calculated from current day - document date
when i check my query result without any of hte conditions active then its displaying all the rows and in that i can even check i have values like for example i have a condition do display no of days less than or equal to 30 so it will display all the rows with no of days less than or equal to 30 am i right i have values in that column as 17, 28, 29  and i am assuming that it should display these three rows.
but surprisingly its not ...
thanks and regards
Neel

    If you looked at the error message and searched the forum, you should find the answer as this is a problem that started in 2005. You should not run CHM files from a server and cannot without editing the users registry. See the page below.

    All along your questions have been based on webhelp, why suddenly are we going go CHMs.

  • Do not display the overall result for one KF

    Hi,
    Question is in the title, here is an explanation of what I want to get with a simple BEx query (without adding extra vba)
    2 KF : KF1 and KF2
    2 Caracteristics : let's say 0PLANT and 0CALMONTH
    0CALMONTH is displayed in line, 0PLANT in column
                         overall result    1701    1709    1710
    0calmonth        KF1               KF2      KF2     KF2
    01.2009           xxx               xxx       xxx     xxx
    02.2009           xxx               xxx       xxx     xxx
    03.2009           xxx               xxx       xxx     xxx
    Basically what I want is to KF1 only for the aggregation of all plants and I want to display KF2 for each plant
    Do you think this is possible ?
    For now I only succeed in getting
                         overall result    1701    1709    1710
    0calmonth        KF1  KF2      KF2      KF2     KF2
    01.2009           xxx               xxx       xxx     xxx
    02.2009           xxx               xxx       xxx     xxx
    03.2009           xxx               xxx       xxx     xxx
    I checked the forum for a while and did not find the answer (zero suppress do not work on result)
    Thanks for you help,
    rgds,
    Sebastien

    Hi,
    I didnt get exactly for what you are looking for ,
    Chars : 0Plant, 0Calmonth....put these two in two new selections by creating a new structure in Rows
    KF:        what ever the KFs you need put them in Columns in a structure,
    then enable the Cell Reference, now you can hide the KF results by cell wise and/or column wise however you need,

  • Strange scenario,Oracle can not display the data in mysql correctly

    I use Heterogeneous Service+ODBC to achieve "oracle access mysql"(any other method?),and now i find Oracle can not display the data in mysql correctly:
    -------mysql------------
    mysql> create table tst(id int,name varchar(10));
    Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec)
    mysql> insert into tst values(1,'a');
    Query OK, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)
    mysql> select * from tst;
    ------------+
    | id | name |
    ------------+
    | 1 | a |
    ------------+
    1 row in set (0.00 sec)
    mysql> show create table tst\G
    *************************** 1. row ***************************
    Table: tst
    Create Table: CREATE TABLE `tst` (
    `id` int(11) DEFAULT NULL,
    `name` varchar(10) DEFAULT NULL
    ) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8
    1 row in set (0.00 sec)
    -------------oracle ------------------
    SQL> select count(*) from "tst"@mysql;
    COUNT(*)
    49
    SQL> select * from "tst"@mysql;
    id
    1
    SQL> desc "tst"@mysql;
    Name Null? Type
    id NUMBER(10)

    You can make the following query on the result page:
    "select * from the_table where movietitle = ? and cinema = ?"
    then you set movietitle and cinema to those which the user selected. If the resultset contains more than 0 rows, that means the movie is available.
    Below is the sample code, it assumes you have a connection to the database:
    PreparedStatement stat = myConnection.prepareStatement("select * from the_table where movietitle = ? and cinema = ?");
    stat.setString(1, usersMovieTitleSelection);
    stat.setString(2, usersCinemaSelection);
    ResultSet res = stat.executeQuery();
    if (res.next()) {
    out.print("The movie is available");
    } else {
    out.print("The movie is not available");
    }Now just add that to your JSP page. Enjoy ! =)

  • The requested operation could not be performed because OLE DB provider "MSOLAP" for linked server does not support the required transaction interface.

    I am getting the following error when attempting to INSERT the results of an "EXEC(@MDXQuery) at SSAS LinkedServer":
    The requested operation could not be performed because OLE DB provider "MSOLAP" for linked server does not support the required transaction interface.
    Here is code that illustrates what I am doing:
    DECLARE @MDX varchar(max);
    SET @MDX='
    SELECT
    [Measures].[Extended Service Count]
    } ON COLUMNS,
    NON EMPTY [Organization].[By Manufacturer].[Manufacturer]
    ON ROWS
    FROM (
    SELECT
    {[Organization].[Org Tree].&[2025],[Organization].[Org Tree].&[2040]} ON 0
    FROM [MyCube]
    /* Test 1 */
    EXECUTE(@MDX) at SSASLinkedServer;
    /* Test 2 */
    DECLARE @ResultsB TABLE (
    Manufacturer varchar(255)
    , ExtendedServiceCount float
    INSERT INTO @ResultsB (Manufacturer, ExtendedServiceCount) EXECUTE(@MDX) at SSASLinkedServer;
    Test 1 succeeds, returning expected results, and Test 2 fails returning the error mentioned above.
    Other articles I've found so far don't seem to apply to my case.  I am not creating any explicit transactions in my code.   When I use OPENQUERY, I am able to do the insert just fine, but not when I use EXEC @MDX at LinkedServer.
    Unfortunately in some variations of the query, I run into the 8800 character limit on OPENQUERY, so I need to use this other approach.
    Any ideas?
    -Tab Alleman

    Hi Tab,
    In this case, SQL Server Analysis Services doesn’t support Distributed Transactions by design. Here is a similar thread about this issue for your reference, please see:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/8b07be45-01b6-49d4-b773-9f441c0e44c9/olaplinked-server-error-msolap-for-linked-server-olaplinked-server-does-not-support-the?forum=sqlanalysisservices
    One workaround is that use SQLCMD to execute the EXEC AT command and saved the results to a file, then import using SSIS.

  • Can't create new BeehiveOnline Workspace "You do not have the required..."

    I'm trying to create a new BeehiveOnline Workspace. I follow the instructions from the FAQ, but as soon as I click on the "New/Workspace" option, I receive this error "You do not have the required privileges to create a workspace in this Location"
    The location looks like "/Oracle" but when I click on the associated "+" icon, nothing else displays.
    I am trying to create this new workspace around Mid-Day on Sunday in Australia, so is it possible the system is "down", or is this a genuine privileges error? and if so how do I fix it?

    This error is caused by you not having workspace creation rights - BeehiveOnline has restrictions on who can create workspaces. Go to beehiveonline.oracle.com and click on the right button. Find out who the group administrator is of your group and ask them to grant you workspace creation rights.

  • UUT serial number is not displayed in batch results popup window?

    UUt serial number is not displayed in batch results popup window. I am using TestStand 2012 SP1 f1 (5.0.1.66). I am also using Prebatch callback and setting up
    Parameters.ModelData.TestSockets[index].UUT.SerialNumber with the UUT serial number. I have used the exact sequence file with TestStand 4.2 (4.2.0.134) with no problems.

    Sorry for my late reply I was away for work. I actually revisited the code that I implemented with TestStand 4.2 (4.2.0.134) and it is showing the exact problem. Sorry for misleading you. however the UUT report is showing the correct serial number for each unit. This would be something that is nice to have but not critical for my project. I am basically auto discovering all my UUT so instead of scanning the serial number I read it from the UUT memory so there are a lot of steps in my PreBatch call-back but they are all related to reading the UUT serial number. Once I read all the UUTs serial numbers I set the following in a for loop:
    Parameters.ModelData.TestSockets[Locals.For_Loop_Index].UUT.SerialNumber =StationGlobals.UUT_Serial_Numbers[Locals.For_Loop_Index]
    I tried to implement my a simple PreBatch with only a for loop and an array of serial number and I ended up with the same issue. So I am suspecting that the batch report is getting the serial numbers from a different variable and that variable is set when you run the batch option without the PreBatch call-back.

  • Can't activate - activation does not have the required number of digits

    I have an old paid version of CS that I have been using for years. I recently had my hard drive repaired and they managed to deactivate my CS. When I try and do the phone activation, after I enter the activation code it says "The number you entered does not have the required number of digits". I am reading it right off the screen in front of me. The only other info is activation type = repair. What are my options? I paid a lot for this and I would like to keep using it. Thanks for any help.

    I am having the exact same problem. I have moved my Adobe CS3 to a new computer. Even though I am entering the activation code correctly as displayed on my screen, I still get the message "The number you entered does not have the required number of digits". You can then select to speak to someone, but then you receive a recording that Adobe is no longer handling activation problems via phone, goodbye, and I am disconnected.
    How can I re-activate my CS3 product? I have a legitimate purchase and a legitimate license key. Thank you.

    Hello,
    When you insert data from SQL Server into a linked server, then a distributed transaction should be started and here it seems this fails.

  • Export failing with "The user does not have the required rights to perfrom

    We are testing an upgrade to BOXI 3.1.  We use the CrystalReportViewer .net web control to view the report.  When the export button is clicked and the Crystal Reports file format is selected, the following error message is displayed:
    "The user does not have the required rights to perfrom this operation. Please contact your administrator. "
    Notice that perfrom is not spelled correctly.  This is what actually gets displayed.
    I'm not too concerned about the spelling, but I do want to fix the error.  So I checked the security on the folder and the user does have full control.  Both advanced security options are selected:
    -View document instances that the user owns
    -Export the report's data
    So what else could be causing this?

    I had applied the full control access to the wrong group.  Once I applied that access to the user that actually generates the report, it worked.
