Conference room microphone for MBP

I run video conferences via GoToMeeting, using iChat to show remote guest speaker on desktop. The venue may be a meeting room or small auditorium. I've been trying to use a wireless mic to input meeting room participants and audience questions, but the audio as uploaded to the internet is very low. Using the "Line In" is no better.
Any suggestions?

  • Automated conference room booking scenario

    hi,
this is a realtime implementation scenario pls provide full coding and answers with screen programming of it.
    it is as follows:
Business Scenario u2013 conference room booking for the company
    Business Scenario
You will build a computerized system to automate the process of Conference room booking for a company .
Xi Infotech, a software company, is having 5  locations at Bangalore.  Each location has 3 conference rooms available
    Masters
    Maintain Employee Details
    Maintaining Conference room Details.
    Maintaining booking details
    Transactions
Maintaining Date and timing of Meeting
The conference room in any of these locations have to be Pre-booked for the meeting indicating the purpose of meeting & no. Of attendees, date and time for which required.
Booking Confirmation has to be sent to the employee who blocks the room.  If any other person tries to book the same room, he should be able to see that this room is blocked and the details regarding the employee who has blocked and the purpose & time for which the room is blocked
    Reports
Datewise report on the conference rooms of all locations.
Month wise reports of conference room booked.

    What a question!

  • Conference room

Does anyone have best practices information on using Apple TV in a corporate environment? Specifically setting up security so that only authorized users can display in a particular conference room?

for the most part it's a no go
it does not support the corp type of encryption
apple I believe don't really make money on selling appletv units they make the money when owners buy stuff from itunes and the likes
so corporations using appletvs for adds running on tv's or as you wish is not really a lucrative market as you don't really add any revenue

  • Conference room scheduling?

Does PeopleSoft have the ability to do conference room reservations for an organization?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
It is by design. The room list is limited to 100 objects. The recommended way to manage a large number of conference rooms is to create Room Lists and add the room mailboxes to specific room lists.
We can use the New-DistributionGroup cmdlet to create a room list:
New-DistributionGroup -Name "Building 32 Conference Rooms" -OrganizationalUnit "contoso.com/rooms" –RoomList
    Add rooms to the list:
Add-DistributionGroupMember -Identity "Building 32 Conference Rooms" -Member [email protected]
Add-DistributionGroupMember -Identity "Building 32 Conference Rooms" -Member [email protected]
Then we can click Add a room in OWA to select the room list. The created room list can also be used for room finder feature in Outlook:
    http://exchangeserverpro.com/find-meeting-rooms/

  • Block conference room for all but one user

hoping to lock down one conference room I turned off autoprocessing and added user to resource inpolicy
but mtg resources are stil going in the room.

    Hi,
If you don’t want other users to send message or meeting request to this room, we can limit the sender for this room mailbox to specific users, for your reference:
We can click Add button to add specific user and save the settings.

  • Poor performance for my wlan in conference rooms

    Hi,
I have real problems in my conference rooms. I have deployed about 25 aps for my building. I have 1242, 1131, 3501 and 1142's. I have a 2 story building. I've used the WCS maps feature to provide me with a coverage area map. I think that the upstairs and downstairs AP's are interfering with each other. It was suggested I put 3 AP's into one conference room, each with it's own a/b or g radio. How do I pinpoint what is causing the problems with connectivity in my conference rooms?
Also, have you tried manually adjusting power levels? I believe once I start with that, I'll have to touch each and every ap, if I start messing with that. Any suggestions?
    Thanks

Remeber that when working with wireless we should always do a site survey to determine the current rf the site has, where to locate the access points , how many access points to get and where to install each ap so that the overlap between the aps is not more then 15%.
Also once the APs are installed you can use the wlc options and heck how many rouges aps the wlc aps are seeing since this rouges would affect your aps and auto rrm will not be able to know what channel to use on the aps managed by your wlc so you would need to configure it manully, also you can go to the monitro tab, select the ap by ap to see how each ap sees the signal to another ap managed y the wlc.
For auto rrm to work on the wlc you need that each ap sees atleast 3 more aps with a good signal to be able to set the correct power and channel to use.

  • Can I buy a headset with microphone for my 13" MACBOOK PRO?

There is only one hole to plug an earphone, and when i record in my software, and i replay it. it sounds strange. so i'm trying to change a microphone.
is the headset with microphone for A1278 on sale? could somebody give me an sale net address?

Thank you. I know what you mean. Apple can support earpiece and microphone in one plug.
When I ask about this question, my MBP had trouble in Windows XP.
I'm Chinese, and there is a software named DynEd. I was using it to record my voice, that voice changed when I replay. It just like an iPhone app:Talking Prez.
And then I reinstall my windows system. Now I'm using Windows 7, and the question resolved.
Maybe 4GB memory is too big for WinXP x32.
    What do you think?

  • Webex in a conference room

We want to use Webex in a small conference room. The current setup is 3 tables in a U shape. The laptop is at the center of the front table with 2 usb cameras each pointing at the side tables. The problem we are having is switching between cameras. Is there away to smoothly switch cameras? Is there a camera or a voice activating or switching solution that will work with Webex?

Cisco's solution to this is to integrate their on-premise TelePresence infrastructure with WebEx. Essentially, the room-based TelePresence codec, whatever model works best for the room, either OBTP or auto-connects to an MCU/TelePresence Server. The MCU also auto-connects a meeting-specific SIP URI through VCS-Control and Expressway into the WebEx cloud, joining the video meeting participants into the WebEx meeting. This is called TelePresence enabled WebEx:

There is a detailed information on adding, modifying and assigning roles in the following manual:
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-4412/achdy?a=view
Specifically look for "Assigning Roles to End Users in New Suborganizations" at the end of the page as it outlines how to add an existing role to a user. The role for maintaining conference rooms is "IM Conference Rooms Administrator"

  • What peripherals do you need to turn your iPhone into a conference room speakerphone?

What peripherals do you need to turn your iPhone into a conference room speakerphone system?
If you buy a separate conference mic and a speaker, can they somehow work together off the iPhone headphone jack like a huge set of group earphones?  What if you want to connect 2 mics and a speaker?
Do you have to be very careful that they can all be attached somehow at the same time?
Are there reasonably priced conference room speakerphone peripherals the work well together that you would recommend?
    Steve

Why don't you contact Apple and find out?  Certainly if you can find your way around the internet to have been able to find this forum, you can certainly find the number for AppleCare.

  • Report on conference room usage?

    Exchange 2007 SP3
I've been asked to create a report on conference room usage at our company.  They want to know which rooms are booked and for how long, as well as overall availability of conference rooms.  The idea is that they want to shut down an area of the
building but they're concerned that it will leave the company with an inadequate number of conference rooms.
Maybe someone knows of a powershell script or third party app that can do that?
Unfortunately we don't own MOM, so that option is out.  :(
    Thanks in advance.

    HI blink
if you share your caledar through mail, you can see the free/busy of rooms and can see how long they are going to use the particular room. we can export that room utilization report into excel also.
    Hi Gavin,
am also working on the same task, is it possible to pull the report of room utilization as mentioned below?
This is what the report should show the items below.  However, we should be able to use the same process to report for any room.
Room usage for a week for each specific room (usage is relative to how many hours the room is available for the day)
Room usage for a month for each specific room (usage is relative to how many hours the room is available for the week)
    Number of bookings per user
    Number of bookings canceled
    Number of bookings rescheduled

  • Command-line to create conference rooms.

I want to script the creation of conference rooms. I also want to script the population of these conference rooms. I want to create the conference rooms with default access of NONE and add only the users that I designate to the conference room (either as READ, WRITE, or MANAGE). Can this be done?

How do you execute the Shell in -debug mode? I executed the Shell with the following commands:
    1) go to domainims:/opt/SUNWiim/config/log4j.conf and set log4j.logger.xmppd=DEBUG,A1. It should be set to INFO right now, I believe.
    2) restart the server
    # /opt/SUNWiim/sadmin/imadmin refresh
    3) start the Shell application
    # bash
    # cd /home/staff/user2/im (or /home/staff/user2) (look for Shell.java file)
    # export classpath=./jso.jar:./jaxen-core.jar:./saxpath.jar:./xp.jar:./collab-service.jar:./log4j.jar:./
    # java -cp $classpath -debug org.netbeans.lib.collab.tools.Shell
    4) Type the following commands inside the Shell
    imp> login
    IM Service: domainimm.domainpriv.gov:5222
    User Name: imadmin
    Password: adminpass
    imp> apc test2
The only error message that I received in the Shell was:
    Cannot create conference:
I will email you the filtered xmppd.log files. The GUI log file shows the creation of the test2 conference while the Shell log file gives no error information after it tries to create the test2 conference room.
    Any ideas?

  • Unable to see conference room moderator pane.

I have created a conference room with default access of NONE. I have added four users to the conference room (one with MANAGE access, one with WRITE access, and two with READ access). If I join the conference room as the user with the MANAGE access, I select File->Moderate and I do not see the moderator pane show up. The user that I gave MANAGE access to did not have a policy to give him moderate priviledges in Access Manager and I thought that might be the problem. So I added a policy and a rule that grants moderate priviledge and still it does not work. Since the user has the IM Regular User role and the new moderate role, are the roles conflicting? Do I even need to worry with Access Manager roles at all?

There is a bug #4929295 , which indicates there are issues with conflicting policies .
This was also been release noted. check the below link,
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-2568/6n4rm7fhr?a=view .
Thats the reason why your initial policies / roles did not work.
Every time a policy / roles is changed the client doesnt pick up the policy / roles dynamically. So we need to refresh the client to pick up these policy / roles from access manager which can be done simply by re-login the client for which the changes have been made.
