Configuration BPM

Hello Guru's
I am having trouble with the configuration of my BPM and want to check wether I am right or wrong.
Part of the proces is the receive a message and send out a reponse.
I start my BPM with a receive step which:
- Step Name: ReceiveRequest
- Starts Process: True
- Mode: Opens S/A Bridge
- Synchronous Interface: MI_AS_Request
- Message: MI_AA_Request (Interface Variable)
After that the second step is a send step which:
- Mode: Closes S/A Bridge
- Message: MI_AA_Response (Interface Variable)
- Opened By: ReceiveRequest
For this part, I have the following config:
- Created a party: RequestParty with a business Service BS_RequestParty which contains a Receiver and Sender interface MI_AS_Request.
- Service without party and imported my BPM.
For a receiver Determination I have the following:
- RequestParty | BS_RequestParty | MI_AS_Request
Interface Determination:
- RequestParty | BS_RequestParty | MI_AS_Request | IP_ServiceRequest
Is this part Correctly done?
Thnx for the help!
Best regards,
Guido

Do u have a sync and async applications communicating. If no, then dont use sync async bridge.
For ur BPM settings, MI_AA_Request should be the request and MI_AA_Response should be the response message type of the sync sender. For the second step, u are closing the bridge which means that there is no point where the Response structure is getting filled.
In the ID config, u have to configure one more receiver determination from BPM to ur party

Prateek

  • Configuring BPM at runtime

    Does anyone know if there are APIs available to configure BPM at runtime?

    Hi,
    BPM cannot be configured during run time. It should be designed during "DESIGN TIME", for the various possible combinations of the message to be routed.
    For each possbile combination, the "CONFIGURATION TIME" has to be configured. Then during "RUN TIME", depending upon the message content the message is routed accordingly.
    If you were to design BPM at run time then you are indirectly refering that there is no need for conguration which is not possible.
    Hope this helps you.
    Cheers,

    Have went through the BPM congfiguration guide, but cannot get the information on what i am looking for.BTW this is the first time i am heading to deploy in the managed server.
    Kindly share how can i proceed to deploy in the managed server.

    You can try the 10g documentation about configuring on a J2EE environment.
    [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/config_guide/index.html|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/config_guide/index.html]
    Or the 6.0 documentation may describe it a bit better.
    [http://edocs.bea.com/albsi/docs60/config_wls/index.html|http://edocs.bea.com/albsi/docs60/config_wls/index.html]

  • How to configure bpm composer and access the projects present in bpm mds re

    To access the bpm composer I performed the below mentioned steps: - Installed the standalone weblogic server with soa server configured
    - Invoked the bpm composer using the url : http://machine:soa_port/bpm/composer
    - Used weblogic and weblogic1 as username and password.
    Please let me know whether I am following the correct approach as I am not able to see any options in bpm composer like open project etc, the project menu appears but there are no projects visible.

    The answer couldn't help us much. I will give you the steps we have followed in detail
    We have created a sample customizable BPEL process by selecting a Customizable checkbox in Jdev.
    Then,The sample BPEL process is deployed to SOA server from JDeveloper. We could see the deployed BPM process in EM console.
    Also the MDS repositories required for customization too are present in EM.
    Then We tried accessing the BPM Composer to do some customization on the sample BPEL process deployed. We are able to login to the BPM composer using "weblogic" user.
    But the composer displays only the welcome page. There are no other links enabled.
    Please let us know How to make a BPEL process customizable using BPM composer.
    Also there is an another SOA Composer. When this composer is mainly used?
    There is another BPM Workspace console. But we could not login to this using "Weblogic" user though we are able to login in EM, SOA and BPM composer.
    Why the login failed uisng "weblogic" user here?What for this console is used?

  • Configuring BPM-BW Connectivity

    Hi all
    We're trying to connect BW with BPM. I've read that an RFC Destination is needed to do so, but I'm not sure about how to configure it.
    I'm on TCODE SM59, configuring a TCP/IP type destination. Checked on "Registered Server Program" following manuals, but now I have to enter a ProgramID, and I have no idea where do I obtain this.
    Is it a standard program on the BW, or maybe an existing one on the Composite Environment server? Do I have to write any code?
    Thanks in advance, hope anyone can give me some clue

  • Configuring BPM with the UWL

    Hello Experts,
    I need to set up an Universal Work List on EP server to list all the Tasks and Process including  BPM based ones...
    Part of Landscape is; we have an SRM Portal Working on SRM ECC, a BPM server (Which is my side basicly) and an EP Portal Server.
    Basic scenario is; Customer will logon to EP server(single sign-on with other systems), will fill up the shopping cart(SRM) and depending on the total price diffirent approval processes (BPM) and after approval the process will continue..
    Approvers also will use EP server to complete theirs tasks which were triggered from BPM.
    So, how am i going to configure EP UWL to show tasks from BPM, i have been through this link; http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce72/helpdata/en/0e/57827af0e34edfacd4c82edeb6acca/content.htm
    But my question is; on the consumer part (which is EP) how am i going to connect to BPM (as a Portal server) from EP? It only decribes the connection as a R3 system but BPM is only a java portal system. I couldn't manage to connect from EP to BPM, is there any way to connect from portal system to portal system or is there any other way achieve this ?
    Any suggestion will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Yasin

    Dear soujanya,
    I have implemented federated network between to servers (BPM and EP).
    Can you guide me through UWL Configuration ? I have tried this link;
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_ep60sp2/helpdata/en/ff/83fd4d5a644336b13ae54528cfef57/content.htm
    but it seemed Business workflow on ECC systems included here, but i just need to export bpm workflows to ep uwl at the moment.
    Any suggestions ?
    Thanks again,

  • Alert status GREY in BPM configuration

    Hello Everybody,
    I am configuring BPM in Solution Manager for "Order to Cash" process concentrating on "IDOC monitoring". The IDOC monitor will monitor the IDOC status in my ECC system, so no need to define interfaces.
    The configuration is completed without any errors. But once i go and check the alerts, i see that alert status as GREY.
    It says "MTE node inactive".
    I have done the following troubleshooting -
    1. I have checked the ST-PI and ST-API tools and they are as per the prerequisite.
    2. I have assigned the necessary auto reactions in RZ21 again
    3.  I have applied SAP note - 1587042
    4. I have reorganised the alerts
    5. I deleted the corresponding MTE in RZ20 and regenerated the alerts
    6. I reset the node
    7. The collector status is green
    8. Involved SAP in this issue but they are slow in responding.
    9. All RFCs working fine
    Looking out for an immediate help / suggestions on this issue.
    Thanks,
    Manan Joshi

  • External Resource JAR configuration in BPM Enterprise

    I have External resource(a JAR file) in my BPM Studio. This External JAR calls some web service and gets data. Everything is working fine when I run from BPM Studio with its in bulit Derby engine and all.

    Did I missed configuring something in Enterprise? Any other ideas?

    Hi,
    You could either try marking the External Resource(s) with the Jar files as versionable or copy the Jar files to these directories:
    <Enterprise Home Directory>/enterprise/webapps/webconsole/WEB-INF/lib
    <Enterprise Home Directory>/enterprise/ext

  • Problem in BPM Alert configuration

    hi all,
    i have configured BPM with alerts putting Control step. i not am able to get the container variables reflected in my alert.
    can any one tell me what is the procedure to capture the errors(container variables like MESSAGE_GUID....) in BPM
    Thanks,

    Edited by: Smitha Madhavan on Sep 4, 2008 9:14 AM

    hi,
    please make sure that u have defined the container element in ur BPM. please fill your veriable with your definde veriable in container step.
    you can fill these veriable with 2 type of data\
    1) fill with payload which is comming ,
    2) fill with the system defined veriable
    if you want to fill with system defined veriable you need to write a small UDF
    java.util.Map map;
    map = container.getTransformationParameters( );
    String constant1;
    Constant1 = (String) map.get(StreamTransformationConstants.INTERFACE_NAMESPACE);
    now return this out put to some veriable .which can be assigned to container veriable.
    you can use following system defined veriable.
    MESSAGE_CLASS,VERSION_MAJOR,VERSION_MINOR,PROCESSING_MODE,MESSAGE_ID,TIME_SENT,INTERFACE,INTERFACE_NAMESPACE,SENDER_PARTY,SENDER_SERVICE,RECEIVER_NAME,RECEIVER_NAMESPACE,RECEIVER_PARTY,RECEIVER_SERVICE,MAPPING_TRACE

  • BPM Configuration Error on Weblogic Configuration

    Hi,
    I try to configure BPM Directory and always get error on wlst.sh command
    weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceSystemException: Cannot load driver class: weblogic.jdbcx.oracle.OracleDataSource
    My system spec:
    - Solaris SPARC 64
    - Weblogic 10.3.0.0 using JRockit 1.6.0_16
    - BPM 10gR3
    The configuration error in weblogic configuration.
    Really need help here..
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Eric Wijaya

    Hi Eric,
    Just checking: Are you using BPM 10.3.2?
    Do you mean the BPM Directory Configuration?Yes, I'm talking about the directory configuration and the engine configuration too.
    I've configure the BPM Directory to use BPM's Oracle Driver Version:10,11 which is selected by default by the BPM Configuration Wizard but still got the jdbc driver error. If you are using 10.3.2, you will see that there is another driver called: "Oracle Driver Version:10,11" (without BPM!!). You must use that driver. (if you install the latest 10.3.2 HF, that driver is the default one).
    If you don't have that driver, then you are using an older version than 10.3.2. Please migrate to 10.3.2.
    Hope this helps,
    Ariel

  • BPM process switch/fork is not processing!!

    Hi Guys,
    I have scenario for 1:n multi mapping using BPM. In my BPM just I have got 5 steps, the first one is receiver,  next step is transformation (workinig fine), switch with 2 branches, on branch one Sender 1 to SNC (Prod Active Notific) and on second branch has got Sender 2 for (ProductDemandInfluencingEventNotification) to SNC. The process is coming upto Switch, the process is not coming into Swithch step to send these messages to sender? what is the condition for Switch step? I put it like (1=1), message is not processing completely.
    Any valuable inputs for this please?
    Many Thank in advance
    San

    Hi biplab das ,
    Many thanks for very quick reply. I have tried both. Let me explain you my scenario, please give me your inputs on that!!
    Sender side xml messages comes with couple of messages. What I need this xml has to split into two message types "Product Activity Data" and "Product Influence Demand", each message goes with multiple messages, as follows:
    <Root>
       <output>
       <output>
       <output>
       <output>
       <output>
    </Root>
    Each output message got multiple submessags. Couple of submessages has go under "Product Activity Data" and Couple of other messages has go under "Product Influence Deman"
    Mapping is working fine. Messages are splitting.  I have configure BPM as follows:
    Setp 1---- Receiver --- > Receive the message
    Setp 2 -
    Mapping -
    > Messages are splitting
    Step 3 -
    Fork Step ---> with 3 Branches , Branch 1 for, 1 Receiver Determination and 1 Sender --> Product Acitivity Data
                                                                           Branch 2 for , 2nd Receiver Determination and 2nd Sender --> Product Influence D
                                                                           Branch 3 for throw Alert
    I can this message is failing on Moni, I opened PE, the graphical represenation shows error on Sender1 and Sender2.
    Please can you advice me in this.
    Many Thanks
    Regards

  • BPM Alerts not sending email notifications

    Hello Experts,
    I've successfully configured BPM within SolMan and alerts are being generated but I'm not receiving any email notifications. In the setup of Business Process Monitoring, "Contacts" have been maintained within the Solution Directory as well as the notifications section of the monitoring type with a sender and a valid recipient address . Both yellow and red alerts are being generated but no email notifications are being sent. Thresholds have also been maintained.
    Researching other threads regarding this same issue points to tcode RZ20->SAP CCMS Technical Expert Monitors ->All Monitoring Contexts->BPM->Activate Maintanance Function-> and assiging Central auto reaction methods to MTE Class BPMRoot Context and the other BPM_APPMON_* MTE classes. Is there something that I am missing in order to have these alerts send email notifications when the alert threshold is reached?
    I also defined the new Central Auto Reaction method and maintained the parameters properly which calls FM DSWP_BPM_SEND_ALERT. Please assist as I have exhausted all options. Please provide a step by step guide to setup alert notifications if possible.
    Thanks
    Mike
