Configuration changes of  "Classic to Standalone scenario"  in EBP system

Hi,
Could you guide me in configuration changes of "<b>Classic to Standalone Scenario</b>" in EBP system...
Will I get any documentation on this..?
Thank you...
Best Regards,
Thiru

Hi Thiru,
to change from Classic to Standalone Scenario, you have to change customizing point "Define backend for product category".
If your set target system = SRM logical system, then follow on doc will be created localy in SRM -> standalone scenario.

  • Tax calculation in backend and in SRM (classic and standalone scenario)

    Hello,
I have an issue regarding calculation of tax. 2 scenarios are used in common: classic and standalone. One node of Organizational structure is using classic scenario, another node is using standalone. So I have 2 Accounting Systems defined (one for each node).
    Requirement is:
    - For classic scenario, setting the tax calculation in backend
    - For standalone scenario, setting the tax calculation to no tax calculation
Problem is that I can not customize the system this way. I do not know any mean to set 2 ways for tax calculation. Would you have any idea to do this?
    Thanks,
    Patrick

  • Grid Console and Configuration Change Console?

I have installed Grid Console 10.2.0.5, and now I'm looking at the Configuration Change Console URL (http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/oem/htdocs/config_control.html) wondering if I also need to install this as well.
It appears that the Grid console has all the management packs in, so maybe the Configuration Change Console is a standalone product (i.e. I only want the change management side and not all of grid control?)
Can someone clarify if I'm correct in this?
    Regards
    Stuart.

Thanks. We are just a small IT shop (only 12 databases), so Grid Console and repository are on the same server. I take it that I could also install Configuration Change Console on the same server under a different Oracle home, and use the same grid repository for the Change Configuration Console?

  • Help me configure Change request management !!!

    Dear friends,
I am Going to Configure Change request Management, so just to ensure that the configuration is not erronous, i would need Expert advise..
Just want to know Clear few things before i proceed..
I am also refering SPRO and related notes
    Scenario :
I have two SYSTEMS SAP ECC 6.0 with System id R03 and Soluiton manager with SYSTEM id SOL,
    R03 has 3 clients, 300 600 700..
In R03 300 is the development client, 600 is quality client, 700 is the production client.
    SOL has 2 clients, 100, 200
With 200 as the production client.
Q.1) <b>Do i have to configure CHARM in both the client (100 and 200 of SOLMAN).</b>
Q.2) Initially I had tried to set CHARM in client 100 of solman, but later on realized that it has to be set up in client 200.
When i logon to client 200 and  Execute IMG activity Spro-> sap soltion manger->basic settings-> sap solution manager system->activate integration with change request management.
Then by default it take the previous client ( client 100) as the change request management client.
( as we know there are three steps in the above activity ), the other activity are executed properly, only prblem being that the default client is always set to 100, which should not be the case).
I do get the prompt saying ( "The change request clent is set to clent 100, do u want to change to client 200, on clicking yes, still it is always set the same client 100 as charm client ")
<b>Plz let me know what do i do to set the change request client to 200??</b>
Q.3) Regarding TMS, we have local domain controller in solman and local domain in R3.
We are planing to establish domain links between the two systems( ie both the domain controllers) ??
Is this the right strategy ??
<b>Any other method that u can recommend  ??</b>
Q.4)One of the IMG activity says, Generate Destinations to client 000 of all the domain controllers..
Whenever i do this these, destinations are created with errors, i am not able to create trusted RFC destinations without errors.
When i logon to satellite domain controler and excecute sm59 there are 2 destinations created Trusted and BACK.
    These destinations works well,
but when i logon to Solman, got to sm59 , when i test the TMW and TRUSTED rfc destinations  i test these destinations using Remote Logon i get error,
" no authorization to logon as trusted system"
I went thru one note which recomended Kernel upgrades to solve the problem,
I r3 my kernel relaese is 700 with patch level 56, the note recomends to apply patch 80, did u have these problems??
<b>what is your kernel patch levels in sateliite and solman systems.</b>
Q.5) TO be able to raise tickets from R3 to solman we create RFC destinations.
We also create RFC destinations to client 000 of all the sateliite system,
<b>dont u think these RFC destinations might interfere with each other??</b>
Q.6) Is there anyone who has successfully configured CHARM. Can you plz share the  configuration documents with me..
    Please note :
<b>All the contributors would be handesomely rewarded with points .</b>

    Hi,
    Check this
    Note 128447 - Trusted/Trusting Systems
    For your Q4.
    Q3.)
Establishing Domain link - That's the right way. Go ahead.
    These are the steps.
<b>1.Define Transport Routes for System Landscape</b>
assign exactly one development system to a production system, and that these two systems are connected by exactly one unique transport track. If a development system and a production system are connected by more than one transport track, this may lead to inconsistencies within the transport distribution. This type of transport configuration cannot be supported by Change Request Management, and may cause inconsistencies within the tools involved.
    <b>2. Activate Extended Transport Control</b>
The CTC parameter should be '1'
    <b>3.Configure Transport Strategy</b>
    Deactivate the QA Approval.
    <b>4. Activate Trusted Services.</b>
    5.Activate Domain Links.
You have to activate domain link between systems.
    6. Generate RFC Destinations to Client 000
    Hope this helps.
    feel free to revert back.

  • Standalone Scenario - Error during Creation of Local Purchase Order

    Hi All,
I am trying to setup Standalone Scenario, i have created all the master data locally, i am able to Order SC, but after workflow approval SC goes into error 'Error during creation of local purchase order from shopping cart XXXXXXXXX'
I have created following configuration setting for local PO number
    1) In SPRO -> Cross-Application Basic Settings -> Number Ranges -> Define Number rang. for Schopping Carts and Follow-on Doc. --- i have number ranges for PO follow-on doc. i.e.
inrerval No = PO, from number = 0004000000, to number = 0004999999, ext. = unchecked
    2) In SPRO -> Cross-Application Basic Settings -> Number Ranges -> Define Ranges per backend system for follow-on documents PO, PR etc

    Hi SAP Guy,
Following steps are must for Local number range
    1) Create number range for local PO
    2) Maintain your logical system in 'Define number range per backend system for follow on document'
    3) Define Transaction Type for BUS2201, define document type (e.g. EC1)
    4) Assign Document type (EC1) in Org attribute BSA.
    Hope this helps.

  • Standalone Scenario (need info about Plants)

    Hi,
i am working now with SRM standalone scenario. It means that now i don't have any back-end systems. All that i need is to maintain all necessary business-process localy in EBP.
    i have such questions:
1.if i have no back-end system, how should i maintain local plants and business partners?
2.while creating shopping cart, the user EMPLOYEE with role BBP_STALL_EMPLOYEE log-on, go to Shop -> Internal Goods/Services, there he choose the item he need's and after it a message "Error in system;shopping cart  cannot be processed further".
for solving this problem i went to ppoma_bbp, opened EMPLOYEE's check and found out that "Application "Shopping Cart": Define the attribute WRK". I looked for such a problem in sap notes and, due to them, went to the
EMPLOYEE's extended attributes, choose LOCATIONS, and while trying to take something from F4 in Partner ID or Plnt i got only message "no values found" and no variants.
    What is the problem?
    3. i created my org. structure , then i changed in ppoma_bbp the name of my root org. unit. and now on the org. tree-screen my root doesn't have name and code.
    help me please, thx!

    Muthu,
    thank you for your reply!
could you kindly tell me the difference between two operations:
i followed your advice "ADMINistrator ->Manage Business partner ->
select LOCATION" and created a BusinessPartner as a Location. Now in ppoma_bbp in the bookmark "Extended attributes" i can see in "Locations" newly created partner.
but if we speak about my org. structure, why didn't my root organization display in the bookmark "locations" of ppoma_bbp?
if i go to tranzaction bp, i can see BP that was created via WEB, and also my root org. unit.
also, in the bp if i try to change a bpartner, in the "Change in BP role" field there is a role "Plant", not "Location", why?
we be VERY greatful for links, notes and your experience help!

  • Extended Classic vs Standalone

    Hi,
    1. Can i choose between Extended Classic vs Standalone, I might sound stupid, still i want to hear from this forum.
    2. Per my understanding, i can choose to be fully classic by activating Activate Extended Classic Scenario or Partly Classic and ECS by BADI BBP_EXTLOCALPO_BADI.
    3. Here, BADI BBP_DETERMINE_LOGSYS will help to what and how. As i understood this will help in case of multiple backends.
    4. I have done Decoupled where partly Classic and partly Standalone.
    4. If I want to partly ECS nnd partly Standalone, can i do with combination of BADI BBP_DETERMINE_LOGSYS and BADI BBP_EXTLOCALPO_BADI without activating Activate Extended Classic Scenario.
    Thanks,
    Jay

    Hi,
1 & 2- You can choose to have the 3 scenarios working on the same SRM system depending on product category (standard) or any other business rule through the BADI BBP_EXTLOCALPO_BADI. The BADI is mandatory if you want the Classic and the Extended Classic to work together
3- Exactly, this BADI allow you to implement your own business rule for backend determination in a multiple Backends environment (Standard customizing is only based on Product categories)
4- As soon as you use BADI BBP_EXTLOCALPO_BADI , you don't have to use the ECS scenario activation customizing point (the rule is overwritten with the BADI result). The BADI BBP_DETERMINE_LOGSYS will only help in your case, if you have several Backend where to create PO documents.
PS: be aware that in ECS scenario you will no longer be abble to create PR or reservations in R/3.
    Regards.
    Vadim.

  • Configuration changes in long cycle orders

    Hi,
We are currently working on with ETO client and have a scenario where Orders are configured using guided selling which triggers multiple child models as required. Each of these child models are connected to each other but can be manufactured and shipped separately. Order life cycle could range from 2 month to one year and changes are quite frequent. We would like to know the best practices we can adopt in configurator change management after booking in such large BOMs?
    Thanks
    Greg

    Hi,
The code looks fine. To check whether the role still gets shutdown or not, you can handle the role's Stopping event, and write some messages to, say, table storage. Then if you see the message in table storage, it means the role has been restarted. Also please
try to write some messages in the Changing event to check whether your event handler is called.

  • SRM standalone scenario

    Hi all,
I would appreciate ur help in the following area.
If I have a stand-alone SRM scenario with an ERP system as my backend system(currently being used for FI related tasks) and I wish to transfer all locally created PO's in SRM to the ERP system, what is the procedure/settings etc to be done?
Just like we have RFC connections & IDOCS in classic scenario for document transfer between SRM & ERP, I would like to know similar arrangements if any in stand-alone scenario.
I do not wish to use an extended classic scenario because of the limited functionality of SUS in extended classic.
    Thanks,
    Nikhil

    Hi Peter,
Thanks for ur response. However I had a question.
Will the modification of the function module BBP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC_V2 affect the SUS process ...as in once the documents are transferred to the backend will I be able to carry out my normal EBP-SUS in standalone scenario? Or will it become an extended classic scenario thereby restricting my SUS.
    Thanks,
    Nikhil

  • STMS Configuration - Change Virtual System with Real System

    Dear all,
My system, if I go in the transaction STMS in DEV system, was configureted in the following way:
DEV => QA => PROD (Virtual System)
Now, I want to change the PROD Virtual System in PROD Real System.
    How Can procede?
Can you explain step-by-step the process?
Because the system was configureted from other people, and I'm new to using the STMS.
Thanks in advanced for your help.
    Best Regards,
    Giulio

    Hi,
After the planned system is physically installed it is time to replace the Virtual System with the realized system.
The procedure for the same is as under:
    1) Delete the Virtual System from the transport domain
. Login into Transport Domain system client 000
    · Using STMS got to Overview=> Systems
    · Chose SAP Virtual System=> Delete (confirm)
    · Distribute configuration change.
As soon as the configuration change is distributed, the virtual system is deleted. The import queue for this system in TMS disappears but it is available as import buffer at the operating systems level.
Now add the new (physical system) to the transport domain:
If STMS is configured as standalone system then first delete STMS configuration on PRD system
login into PRD system client 000. (delete STMS configuration if present.)
run stms -> it's ask for set up STMS -> click on other configurition (F6)
Target Host -> host name of domain controller ( host name of transport domain system)
System number -> Instance number of domain controller ( instance number of transport domain system)
    Now,
Go to the Transport Domain Controller and accept the system. (As the import buffer is available at the    operating system level, no change requests will be lost)
    Distribute the configuration changes.

    kaushal

  • Please ensure that the applicationhost.config file is correct and recommit the last configuration changes made

I am receiving event ID 5189 on Server 2008 R2, IIS 7.5.  I experience this error across a number of servers, each of which is running only the default web site, but have 600+ applications running on the default web site.  Each application
has its own application pool.  My point is, the applicationhost.config is rather large.
I have seen a number of posts on this error message, but my issue itself seems to differ somewhat.  I am aware of a similar post: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/3128ee93-1319-4cc2-9257-003512caf476/event-id-5189-microsoftwindowswas?forum=exchangesvrgeneral
    which points to KB http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc734988%28v=ws.10%29.aspx
However, in my case, it doesn't seem that the extreme measures for this resolution are required.  The error usually indicates a corrupted applicationhost.config that must be manually fixed, or otherwise the WAS service needs to be restarted, or the
    server itself, etc.
In my case, the issue can usually be fixed by an application pool recycle, or at worst a stop/start.  I have an application which is sensitive to recycles, and so we do not have periodic recycle events configured for this application, which is the bulk
of the applications on the servers.  It seems to me that this issue is usually caused by the application being in use when there is an applicationhost.config change.
For instance, we have one application that we deploy using msdeploy.  We found that when we ran an installation for this application via msdeploy, we were receiving this event, and we would subsequently get 500 errors in the application (sometimes the
application pool corresponds to that which is identified in the event log, sometimes it doesn't).    It seems like applications that were being hit at the time the applicationhost.config was modified by msdeploy were affected.  In an attempt
to correct this, we moved from msdeploy to a batch file containing appcmd commands.  This also did not resolve the issue.
I have another application which is installed using PowerShell commandlets.  We started to notice that this script also caused the issue to occur on occasion.  As I continued to identify different processes that resulted in the same issue, I came
to the conclusion that this is likely due to any change in the applicationhost.config.  I assume the issue is that the applicationhost.config is modified during a read operation to the file by the application pool, or WAS service, and that the recycle
event, which corrects the issue, forces a re-read of the applicationhost.config, resolving the bad-read issue.
Has anyone else experienced this, or do you have any recommendations?  My current work-around is to not install any applications during peak hours, and performing an IISRESET after installs are completed, to ensure application stability.

As an update to this issue, after doing some research, it appears the behavior is related to a new feature in IIS7 called Application Pool Isolation (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd163536.aspx).
This new feature prevents cross-application spillage by isolating the configuration for each application pool in IIS.  So in reality, an application pool never actually reads the applicationhost.config - that is just a master file, and each time it
is update, it triggers a change to the individual application pool configuration files, located in C:\inetpub\temp\apppools.
We did try setting Advanced Settings > Disable Recycling for Configuration Change to true, but after an IIS reset we were still able to reproduce the issue - worse actually, because in our test program, which continually hits the web
service, and also continually makes apphost.config changes, when the two events collide, the 500.19 issue precipitates; but after an additional change to the apphost.config, it seems that the additional changes will actually correct the issue (seemingly forcing
another recycle, which is also how we resolve the issue manually); after making this setting adjustment, once the 500.19 issue precipitates, additional changes to the apphost.config does not correct the problem, only a manual recycle corrects it.  This
is the recycling.disallowRotationOnConfigChange property of the app pool.  We also set the setting for recycling.disallowOverlappingRotation to True as well, with the same result.
We ARE able to prevent this issue by setting the C:\inetpub\temp\apppools\myapppool\myapppool.config to read-only, but for obvious reasons, this is not a desired work-around.
It seems like what is happening is that any change to the ApplicationHost.config is resulting in each of the C:\inetpub\temp\apppools temp application pool config files being updated as well, in addition to triggering an application pool recycle.  It
seems to me the desired behavior would be that these files are only updated if the applicationhost.config changes are specific to that application pool - but that doesn't seem to be the behavior.
After turning on failed request tracing, I was able to narrow the error down more:
    ModuleName
    AnonymousAuthenticationModule

    HttpStatus
    500

    AUTHENTICATE_REQUEST
    ErrorCode
    The data is invalid. (0x8007000d)
This seems to be pretty static.  Trying to look into possible causes of this issue.

  • Standalone Scenario Config Guide

    Hi All,
Does anyone have the standalone scenario standard(or self documented) configuration guide? Will be grateful if you could mail me the same at the following mail ID. <[email protected]>
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    <a href="mailto:[email protected]">Robert G.</a>

    Robert,
The standalone scenario is one of the most simple scenarios to implement.
You can pick up the configuration guide available in service market place and make sure that all references to the logical system would be your local system.
Only for invoice posting to your financial backend system, there needs a little analysis on how that can be achieved. Probably someone else who has the expertise on that can answer that section for you.
Apart from that it should be straight forward. I dont have any document for standalone right now that i can share.
Pls assign points if answer is usefull

  • SRM 7.0 for Standalone Scenario

    Hi ,
We are planning to implement SRM 7.0 for Standalone Scenario. Is there any document or help to getting start this requirement? is it possible to create PO and other follow on documents in SRM and replicate them to legacy system in Standalone Scenario? you help will be great and thankful..
    Jr.SRM

    Hello,
You should start with downloading the configuration guide from [http://service.sap.com/instguides]. An installation guide for BASIS can be found here aswell.
I think that your requirement can definetly be covered, srm standalone <> legacy back-end. The method(s) (RFC/iDOC/XML cq PI) used depends on your landscape and how you design this.
You've got a big but nice challenge ahead of you. Good luck!
    Kind regards,
    Tim

  • E-Recruitment- standalone scenario

    Hello Experts
Can anyone tell me what are the pros and cons of using E-Recruitment as a standalone scenario without integrating with HR system at all?
What are the difficulties we may face while configuring such a scenario ?
Which E-Recruitment versions can be used for this?
    Please help..
    Regards
    Asha

    Hi Asha,
If your scenario is not integrated (the ERP system and SAP E-Recruiting
    run on different systems):
1    Employees from the connected HR system are imported into the
E-Recruiting system using ALE distribution (Application Link Enabling).
2    The administrator creates an internal user.
If your scenario is integrated (the ERP system and SAP E-Recruiting run
    on the same system):
The system uses the implementation CONV_HR_DATA_TO_EREC (Conversion of employees  HR data in SAP E-Recruiting) of the BAdI HRSYBC_P (Synchronize Employee by Business Partner) to create a candidate for each employee. In doing so, only the data from the following infotypes is transferred:
    1    0000 (Actions)
    2    0001 (Organizational Assignment)
    3    0002 (Personal Data)
    4    0006 (Addresses)
    5    0105 (Communication)
6    1001 (Relationships) The relationship to the qualifications
The system saves the person's personal data, capabilities, and wishes in infotypes that are assigned to the candidate.
The recommended procedure for a standalone E-recruiting system is :
    - activate 2 BAdIs :
         HR_INB_PROCESS_IDOC
The BAdI must be implemented for SAP E-Recruiting so that the data
of the Person object (object type P) may be used exclusively
         in the E-Recruiting application.
         HRRCF00_DELETE_SPREL
With the help of the method PROCESS_IDOC, all S-P relationships
between positions and persons are deleted from the inbound IDocs.
The Central Person (object type CP) is assigned to the position
instead of the Person (object type P).
    - The PA-Infotype data will be stored in E-Recruiting specific infotypes
and not in PA-infotypes, but Object P needs to have at least some
PA Infotypes (0000, 0001, 0002, 0006). But with the activated BAdi
implemenation these data are not getting stored in PA infotype with
      the ALE message type HRMD_ABA.
These data will be stored in central person in table HRP51XX
    - Please make sure that you have set up E-Recruiting w/o all of the
ERP-components, i.e. install a basis system and on top of it
      E-Recruiting only.
If the relationship CP-S is missing in your system I will need to have
a remote connection on both system (HR and E-recruiting) with
corresponsing logon details into the secure logon area. I will also
need some variant for report RHALEINI and idoc number in ER system.
    Hope this help
