    Hi,
As you said there is no data in material master for this material. this may be the reason for this. Try loading this material master and perform attribute change run. This should solve the issue.

We have a master data attribute loading failed which is a delta loading. I have to fix this problem but I have two questions:
    1. how can I find the those delta requests because I need to delete all these failed requests first, am I right ? Master data is not like cube or ods that we can find the requests in Manage, for master data how can we find them ?
    2. Could you please let me know the detailed procedures to perform this delta loading again ?
    Thanks a lot

    Hi...
    1. how can I find the those delta requests because I need to delete all these failed requests first, am I right ? Master data is not like cube or ods that we can find the requests in Manage, for master data how can we find them ?
Look.....for master data.....no need to delete request from the target..........just make the status red.......and repeat the load.....But problem is that master data sometimes does'nt support Repeat delta..........if u repeat......then load will again fail with Update mode R.........in that case u hav to do re-init.......
    1) delete the init flag.......(In the IP scheduler >> in the top Scheduler tab >> Initialization option for source system)
    2) Init with data transfer(if failed load picks some records)..........otherwise .....init without data transfer.....if the last delta failed picking 0 records.......
    3) then Delta.......
    2. Could you please let me know the detailed procedures to perform this delta loading again ?
    1) Make the QM status red.........to set back the init pointer.......
    2) Repeat the load.....
After that.........if again load failed with Update mode R.....
    1) delete the init flag.......
    2) Init with data transfer(if failed load picks some records)..........otherwise init without data transfer.....
    3) then Delta.......

  • Unable to generate "Export data source" for Master data infoobject

    Hi Gurus,
    I'm in BW 3.5
I need to generate "Export data source" for a master data info object.
    I followed below steps:
I ticked the checkbox "Characterist. is export data source" in the master data Info object maintenance screen.
In the Infosource area, for the desired Infoobject --> Right click --> Generate export datasource --> a dialog box displays saying "The generation of DataSource  was successful"
    Problem:
Even after refreshing, etc.. I couldn't find the generated datasource 8**** for the above master data. I also tried to replicate the datasource from the myself source system, but couldn't find it even there. I don't know where the generated export data source is hiding ???
    Could anyone please help ????
    Thanks,
    Venkat

    Hi Venkat,
I guess that after creating an export datasource for infoobject this DS should appear in the RSA1-Source systems - MYSELF - datasource overview (with name starting with 8). Since it's a datamart, it should appear also as system generated infosource. And in this case you would be able to assign in URs of data target the appropriate infosource (make sure that in Infoproviders tab of RSA1 you have inserted your infoobject as a data target).
However, there are some bugs related to export data source. CHeck if you see you export data source in RSA6.
If you don't see it - consider applying OSS Note #816892 - "30BSP26: Export DS for master data is not generated".
Note #876845 - "30BSP29: InfoObject change: Export DataSource not adjusted" is also may be useful.

  • Remote Desktop Service Manager - configure permissions for Remote Desktop Users to Send Message, Disconnect, Logoff

    Hello, dear colleagues.
We are using Windows Server 2012 R2 as Remote Desktop Server. Also use Windows Server 2008 R2 with Remote Desktop Service Manager to control RDS user sessions (Send Message, Disconnect, Logoff, Query Info).
Send Message, Disconnect, Logoff options works only for users in Administrators group.
I can't to configure permissions for Remote Desktop Users, specific user or AD group.
To set permissions I'm running RDS Host Configuration on Windows Server 2008 R2 and connect to Windows Server 2012 R2. Then double-click
RDP-Tcp, Security tab, add specific user account , AD group or configure
    advanced permissions
    for Remote Desktop Users.
But, as I sad above, these options works only for users in Administrators group. How to make it work for Remote Desktop Users or specific user, AD group?
    Thanks.
P.S. If move specific user from Remote Desktop Users group to Administrators group on
    Windows Server 2012 R2 - it works.

    Hi,
You can prevent administrators from changing the permissions for a connection by applying the
Do not allow local administrators to customize permissions Group Policy setting.
This Group Policy setting is located in Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Security
Apart there is one command with which you can set the permission for that check the related
    article. Additionally checkthis
    thread for more detail.
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

  • Error while creating Data Source for master data attributes

    Hi BI Experts,
Well its been some time for me that I have been part of Extraction in BI.I primarily handled reporting in my last assignments.
I was trying extraction with flat files in SAP BI 7(new to sap bi 7 but very much familiar with BW3.5) but failed in the activity during master data attributes and text upload in infoobject (say IOSP_Mat).
Here is the procedure that I did after creation of characteristic IOSP_Mat.I created a source system for flat file followed by data source for Master data attributes, i selected all the parameters correctly.i.e. csv file format, data seperator as   ,
and other settings, now when i am trying to look at the proposed data in the next tab using Load example data.its not showing the desired result. The columns that I have maintained in Flat File is  MAT_NUMBER and MAT_NAME (with say 100 data in the file)
same is the result when I am trying to load the text data too columns maintained are
    (LANGUAGE MAT_NUMBER Short Description)(same 100 data).
now i used to rsa1old transaction  to upload the file using 3.5 version.i created info source for master data/text/hierarchies for  IOSP_Mat
now when trying to upload it using info package for master and text data,I observe its(the data) not maintained in the characteristic IOSP_Mat.
When I monitored ,I figured the data has not been even uploaded to the PSA level.
Can you BI experts tell me the answer for this.
    Thanks,
    Srijith

apologies to all of you for late response,
was busy with some other activities.
I don't remember the exact message, but I remember it was not loaded to even the PSA level.I will try it again and post the exact message.
Thanks again for your quick response.
Once again sorry to all of you for my late response
    Thanks,
    Sri

  • Group box in asset master record's tab overlap each other

    Hi Gurus,
I was wondering anyone has seen the same issue that I'm experiencing. I'm on EHP6 and have logged the issue with SAP but wondering if you've faced the same problem.
I basically designed a new tab layout with 2 tabs and assigned the following group box to the 1st tab
    S0001     General
    S0003     Time-Dependent Data
    S0002     Posting Information
    S0013     Equipment
to the 2nd tab I only assigned
    S0009     Origin
    S0100     Depreciation Areas
Then I assigned the new tab to the asset class.
Now when I create the asset through AS01, the tab and group boxes appear however the time-dependent group box overlaps with posting information (please see below). Have you experienced the same issue in your environment?
    Thank you.

    Dear Minab,
This is definitively the problem of overlapping of the layouts.
The asset master data transactions AS01, AS02 and AS03 uses a generic tool to define the screen layout. Unfortunately there are some restrictions on that tool which are based on basis functionality.
The problem is caused by compression and resizing (note 203023)
Since Release Enterprise there are more fields on that screen in Release Enterprise than before.
Hence, the problem is caused by the definition of your asset layout the solution in your case could be to move the screen to an own subscreen or to move this screen to the end of the tab.
Please go the customizing (transaction SPRO) and follow these steps:
Financial Accounting -> Asset Accounting -> Master Data -> Screen
Layout -> Specify Tab Layout for Asset Master Record -> Define Tab
       Layout for Asset Master Data
Select in your layout the relevant tab page.
Here you may need to change positions and group boxes around. Unfortunately there's no other solution possible due to technical restrictions.
    best regards Bernhard

  • No component configuration possible for some web dynpros?

    Hi experts,
I want to configure buttons for a view. Display of technical information (right click) for UI element
    says:
    Application: /SAPSRM/WDA_L_FPM_OIF
    Web-Dynpro Component: /SAPSRM/WDC_UI_DO_ACC
    Window-Info: IV_L_FPC_CA_DETAILS
    View-Info: V_DO_ACCOUNTING
    Configuration Id: A56B0481584E314F46F1C5E908E8819E
In SE80 no such configuration id (looks like a GUID) is found. What is
the name of the configuration ID? How can I configure this strange WD?
Other views have normal config. id's.
    Any ideas?
    Thanx.
    Joe

Right click on the application name - in context menu chose create\change configuration, and then create application configuration.
While creating your application configuration you will be prompted with a component configuration, click on create and then navigate to component configuration and then you can make settings for visiblity of ur reqd button.

  • Trying to link large file to email. keep getting asked for master pw to security device. I have changed master pw on firefox and TB but still same response.

I have tried over and over to send this large file. I've never synced before so i got that all set up. Then asking for master passwork to security device. Don't think I had ever set up an account so did that and created password. When trying to send the email I ask to link it goes to 'box' and I authorize thunderbird to use use it. then it ask for master password and I type that in and it doesn't work. I have reset master pw for firefox and thunderbird and still can't get it to work. I really don't know what I am doing here so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

In my previous response, I gave a link to this website page:
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Master_password
It contained some information about what to do if TB keeps asking for a 'Master Password' which was never set. This was an old bug that was resolved years ago, so it is surprising you are getting it assuming the Thunderbird Master Password was never set.
However, your comments are confusing because they are conflicting; in your question you say:
'' I have changed master pw on firefox and TB ''
This implies you set a master password in Thunderbird and changed it, but in last comment you say you never defined it:
'' I have used the Firefox direction to eliminate the master password, which I never defined in the first place,''
I'm not sure what you mean by 'I have used the Firefox direction' - perhaps you mean the link I gave. As of course we are not talking about firefox :)
So, at this point, it is hard to know what you did because you are posting conflicting information.
Using info at the link, I presume you tried this:
    quote
''Thunderbird: Choose Tools -> Error Console, paste the expression: openDialog("chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xul") and press the Evaluate button. That will open a dialog asking you if you want to reset your password. ''
    quote
''If that doesn't work exit Thunderbird and delete the '''key3.db''' file in your profile.''
Did you do this? You do not say if you did this.
At no point does it say uninstall Mozilla Thunderbird program, so I do not know why you would do it. Uninstalling the Program has nothing to do with your Profile for very obvious reasons.
'''More clearer instructions on how to delete the '''key3.db''' file.'''
Make hidden files and folders visible:
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_hidden_files_and_folders
The AppData folder is folder is a hidden folder; to show hidden folders, open a Windows Explorer window and choose "Organize → Folder and Search Options → Folder Options → View (tab) → Show hidden files and folders".
Assuming your Profile was stored in the default place, it can be located here:
    * C:\Users\Windows user name\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\Profile name\
Thunderbird must be closed before doing anything in the Profile folders.
If you have since reinstalled Thunderbird, you can also use it to get quick access to your Profile folders.
    In Thunderbird
    * Help > Troubleshooting Information
    * click on 'show folder' button
    * '''Close/Exit Thunderbird - this is important'''
    * Look for and delete this file : '''key3.db''' file.
    * Restart Thunderbird.

  • Give me the Configuration steps  for intercompany billing and third party s

    Hi Gurus,
Give me  the Configuration steps  for intercompany billing and third party sales and give me a brief description with examples.
    Regards,
    YSR

    Dear YSR
    Check the links
    [Cross Company Configuration|http://help.sap.com/bp_bblibrary/500/Documentation/J62_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_DE.doc]
    [Third Party Without Shipping Notification|http://help.sap.com/bestpractices/BBLibrary/html/J55_ThirdPartyWOSN_EN_US.htm]
Third party order processing is as follows:
    Assume three companies X, Y and Z
    X - The company,
    y - The customer
    Z - Vendor
When ever X gets a PO from Y to supply some goods, X has an option of either manufacturing those goods or procuring those goods.
If he is procuring the goods, there are two methods that are generally followed:
    Method 1)
After receiving the PO from Y, X creates a sales order against Y.
Now at the same time he also creates a PO to a vendor Z to produce the goods
Z produces the goods and supplies to X
X receives the goods from Z
Then X delivers the same goods to Y.
    After that X invoices Y and Z invoices X.
Note : Here there is no direct/ Indirect relation between Z and Y.
This process is known as Trading Process. and the Material here is created  with Material type HAWA.
The other method is a Third party order processing method:
Here the glaring difference is that instead of Z supplying the material to X and X in turn supplying the same material to Y.
X authorizes Z to supply the material to Y on his behalf and notify him once the delivery is complete.
Now Z supplies the material to Y and acknowledges the same to X.
Z  will send a copy of delivery acknowledgement and invoice to X.
After receiving the delivery confirmation and invoice from Z, X has to verify the invoice and this process is known as invoice verification and is done in SAP through Tcode MIRO.
The next step for X  is to create an invoice and submit to Y
Only after the invoice verification document is posted  then only X can create an invoice for Y.
This is the business flow that is followed for third party order configuration.
There are few steps that have to be configured to enable the system to function as mentioned above.
    Step1)
If you are always followwing a third party process for a material then you have to create the material using item category group BANS.
The procument type should be marked as External procurement (F) in MRP 2 view of the material master record.
if you are not always allowing third party order processing then u can create a material master record with item category group as NORM and the procurement type should be marked as ( X) meaning both types of procurment ( in house manufacturing and external procurement).
    Step 2)
the item category in the order should be manually changed as TAS.
For that you need to confugure the item category determination
ord type + item cat grp + usge + Hiv level = Item cat + Manual item cat
    OR + NORM +      +       = TAN . + TAS
    OR + BANS +       +       = TAS
    Step 3)
make sure that during the item category configuration for TAS  you need to mark relevnat for billing indicator as F
    Step 4)
The schedule line cateogry for this type should be CS.
make sure that you mark  subsequent type as NB - purchase requisition  in this schedule line category as this will trigger the purchase requision order immediately after the creation of the sales order and the PO to vendor is created against this purchase requiesion.
    thanks

  • What tasks I should select in NWA Configuration Wizard for PI component

    Hello,
I'm in the stage of setting up the NetWeaver 2004S SR2. I've logged to the Net Weaver Administration console. According to documentation, to properly configure PI component I should execute Configuration Wizard task. The problem is that documentation is not very specific on what exact tasks I should execute, so I would like to get some advise from the community.
All tasks I can see are:
BI_00_This wizard will execute Postinstall steps of technical configuration of BI-Java Initial
DI_Allinone_This wizard run all post installation steps for DI, CBS, CMS and DTR. Initial
DI_CBS_This wizard run all post installation steps for CBS. Initial
DI_CMS_This wizard run all post installation steps for CMS. Initial
DI_DTR_This wizard run all post installation steps for DTR.
DI_This wizard sets the Oracle Parameters as per CSN note: 848708 Initial
MI_00_This wizard will execute Postinstall steps of technical configuration for the NetWeaver Mobile Infrastructures
MI_01_This wizard will create User and Assign Dedicated roles  for the NetWeaver Mobile Infrastructure Initial
    MI_02_create JCo Initial
    MI_03_create TCP/IP
    MI_04_register Connection Initial

NWA_02_SLD system : Connect SLD to CEN (if CEN present)
NWA_03_Creating a connection to the SLD and Setting required authorizations for SLD (CIM client settings)
NWA_04_Creating a connection to the ABAP stack of CEN and Starting heartbeat monitoring Initial
NWA_05_NWA system : Store access data per each managed Java system (optional) Initial
NWA_06_NWA system : Register each managed ABAP system to SLD Initial
NWA_07_creates Destination for Data Supplier Bridge
PI_00_This wizard will execute Postinstall steps of technical configuration for the PI Usage Initial
PI_01_This template checks if the necessary services are started Initial
PI_02_This wizard will test the BAPI call to SWF_XI_BPM_AUTO_CUSTOMIZE Initial
PI_03_This wizard will assign the Application roles Initial
    PI_04_This wizard will Maintain_Technical_System
PI_05_This wizard will configure the integration server for sld Initial
PI_06_This wizard will create the necessary Destinations in ABAP Initial
    PI_07_Create_RFC_Destinations_in_Java Initial
PI_08_This wizard will Maintain Http Destination Initial
PI_09_This wizard will configure Role of Integration server

    PI_10_This wizard will Register_Queues_NA Initial
    PI_11_This template services are started
I guess I need to mandatory execute PI_XX tasks, but what about others - do I need to execute anything else (I need only PI component to be installed and configured)? Not sure if that makes any difference, but this is the very first time I get into the NWA, so no previous configuration tasks were executed from the Configuration Wizard.
My full system configuration: NetWeaver 2004S SR2 ABAP+Java, Windows 2003 32-bit with MS SQL Server 2005.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Why to use chnage  pointers for  master data idoc why not  the  change idoc

    Hi Gurus,
I have  one doubt about  Idoc.
When changes to master  data has to be sent Change pointers are configured and  used. (CDPOS & CDHDR). In case of  the  transaction data change change idoc  is  used as is the case with orders (we  use ORDCHG for  ORDERS message type to send  the  chnage details to a  order which was already sent to other system.
Why we can't use  change  idoc or  message type whatever, instead of  Chnage pointers in case of  master data or  vice versa in case  of transaction data.
Your valuable  input  will be rewarded with suitable  points!!
    -B S B.

    Hi,
It was a good question ... SAP seems never designed the change pointer to handle transactional data IDocs. Only for master data IDocs distribution purposes.
It may due to volume data ... the transactional data can change many times within a day compare with master data which hardly change or once a while.
