Configuration of Oracle AS Adapters

Can you outline how to configure OAS adapters to make it talk to JD Edwards Enterprise one 8.12 server?
Thanks
Naveen

Hi Luca,
you should modify file
WF_MONITOR_HOME\Apache\modplsql\conf\dads.conf
(PlsqlDatabaseConnectString parameter)

  • JBO-33001: Configuration file /oracle/apps/crmCommon/activities/activityManagementService/applicationModule/common/bc4j.xcfg is not found in the classpath.

I am trying to consume a base model which is available in the Customer.jws (AppCmmnCompActivitiesPublicModelActivityManagement) to my Mobile UI project available in Sales.jws (SalesMobilePublicUi). We have added proper Databindings.cpx entry for accessing the applicationModule present in the model.
On deploying the sales mobile app, I get the following ConfigException:
JBO-33001: Configuration file /oracle/apps/crmCommon/activities/activityManagementService/applicationModule/common/bc4j.xcfg is not found in the classpath.
The bc4j.xcfg mentioned in the above path actually contains the entry. On checking about this issue, I found out that the prominent solution would be model project should be added as Dependencies to the UI project. But the UI is in different workspace (Sales.jws) and so the list of dependencies shown are those of this workspace only, whereas the model is present in Customer.jws and it does not come under the dependencies list.
How can this issue be resolved? Please let me know any pointers on solving this issue.

Build an adfLibrary from the model in the Customers.jws and add this adfLibrary to the other ui project. This will get you the dependency.

Based on your error a few questions come to mind...
What does your Configuration XML file look like? It's root XML node should be xdb_app_map. Your error makes me think you may be pointing at an adapter file versus db schema mapping file.
Are you starting from one of the provided examples like OraApp1.xml? If you followed Step 3: the connector file copy instructions during deployment, you should find the samples in "OIM_home/xellerate/XLIntegrations/DBAppTables/xml/DB_Schema" Or you can search for OraApp1.xml or OraApp2.xml.
Have you configured your IT Resource with the appropriate path to the XML file? If you are on Unix it's going to be case sensitive, I can't speak for a windows path.
I hope this helps. I know I had a few challenges myself when I first took a swing at the DB Table Adapter from the 9.0.4.1 connector pack.

  • Uses for the Action Property with SQL and Oracle DB Adapters

This thread is a complement to the Wiki Article
BizTalk: Streamlining WCF SQL and Oracle Messaging-Only and Other Patterns
The question.  In what circumstances is explicitly setting the Action value with the WCF SQL and Oracle DB bindings useful or beneficial.
A complimentary question.  Is it even possible to set the Action value to anything other than exactly what is required by the Message.
I ask because of three very specific behaviors of the bindings themselves:
The binding enforces a match between the Action and the Message, therefore...
There is a one-to-one relationship between the Message and Action, but...
The binding is able to correctly derive and perform the requested operation with the unspecific CompositeOperation.
For clarity, I understand how to set the Action. I. understand what the Action represents in the SOAP scheme. I understand how Action can be used as an abstraction for SOAP operations.
    Thoughts?

Do you have any good suggestion to learn how to use action property with SQL and Oracle DB adapters?  I learn a lot from your replies for years in BizTalk forum. :)

  • Help me for Configuration on Oracle AS 10g and WebSphere MQ

If there someone can share there experience on configuration on Oracle AS 10g and WebSphere MQ. Is there some quite easy ways or tools to do this?
    Welcome any advise!

    Hi,
The only thing I know of is the documentation to configure the resource provider and I think there is an example on Technet:
"Declaring an IBM WebSphere MQ Resource Provider Reference"
    [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B32110_01/web.1013/b28958/jms.htm#i1086751|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B32110_01/web.1013/b28958/jms.htm#i1086751]
    and
    [http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/oc4j/1013/how_to/index.html|http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/oc4j/1013/how_to/index.html]
I think the important thing is to note step 3 of the documentation,
Add to J2EE_HOME/applib any JAR files required by a Websphere MQ JMS client
as described in the IBM documentation.
I assume this comes from an MQ library that should be installed in OC4J.
If you use applib you must restart OC4J before it will be seen also.
I hope this can guide you in the right path.
    Sincerely,
    Steff

    Hi,
best would be to take the actual version of Oracle (11gR2), which fixes a lot of bugs (also in installation), than to analyze problems based on old versions.
Even if you need older databases (10.2, which I don't hope since support is ending soon), you should at least think about taking the newest version for Oracle Clusterware (Grid infrastructure), .

I had Oracle 10g XE (Express installed but uninstalled it in case it was causing conflicts with the installation of 10 Enterprise). It appeared to have uninstalled cleanly.
However, I was looking at my Environment variables and noticed the following:
Oracle in OraDb10g_home1 points to a directory that doesn't exists since the uninstall.  I deleted this variable.
I also receive the following warning during prerequiste check (but I appeared to have a solution according ot the documentation)
    Checking Network Configuration requirements ...
Check complete. The overall result of this check is: Failed <<<<
Problem: The install has detected that the primary IP address of the system is DHCP-assigned.
Recommendation: Oracle supports installations on systems with DHCP-assigned IP addresses; However, before you can do this, you must configure the Microsoft LoopBack Adapter to be the primary network adapter on the system. See the Installation Guide for more details on installing the software on systems configured with DHCP.
After delete the environment variable I restarted the Install and it installed fine.
    Thank you for the help...

  • "Error: PLL is not configured on Oracle server." appears on some computers

    Hello,
We configured the custom.pll file so that we can capture UPK with context IDs.
We can capture UPKs just fine and it records all available context IDs on MOST computers. However, we have a couple of people that get the custom.pll error (Error: PLL is not configured on Oracle server.), and obviously, their UPK captures do not capture the context IDs.
We all use the same version (UPK Client 3.6.1) and we all are capturing in the same instance where custom.pll has been configured.
Why are some computers getting the error?? How can we resolve this error?
    Can somebody help?
Here are some of our specs:
    UPK: Client 3.6.1
    EBS: 12.1.2
    Computer: Windows XP Professional SP3
    Thank you.

    Hello,
You are correct that the document describes configuring the PLL for help menu integration, but it is necessary that this configuration be done before recording, which is why you're seeing the messages. We do not want customers to record content and later find out that the PLL was not configured properly for deploying via the help menu.
If you follow the steps in this document, the error messages should go away.
    I hope this is helpful.
    Best regards,
    Marc

    RAID+10 provides better performance.
