Hi Swetha,
No need to go for OB40 to assign g/l accounts in FTXP itself assign the g/l account in top click on accounts and assign g/l accounts and save.

    Hi Vasudevan,
Check the following checklist and try.
    1. For tax code used, check for percentage value maintenance for the relevant condition type in transaction FV13, if maintained check for date validity and deletion indicators.
    2. Tax code should be assigned to company code at: Logistics - General -> Tax on Goods Movements -> India -> Basic Settings -> Determination of Excise Duty -> Condition-Based Excise Determination -> Assign Tax Code to Company Codes.
    3. The condition type used to maintain the tax code, as seen in FTXP. should have MVST or MWST as the access sequence in OBYZ settings, based on input or output tax respectively.
    Hope this resolves the issue.

  • POs that accept Output tax code

    Hi all -
I am trying to create a PO with Output tax as the Tax code in the Invoice tab in ME21N. Could anyone please let me know the types of POs that could be created with Output Tax code.
    Thanks -
    Shilpa

For Sales Order's related PO Can you use this Tax type..

  • Assigning multiple withholding tax codes of the same witholding tax type

As described in note 363650, I have configured a withholding tax type FE to include a range of withholding tax codes of 0% for US 1099 reporting only. I also carried out the conversion to extended withholding and resolved all errors. My requirement is that I need two different withholding tax codes of this type to be open and editable in MIRO and FB60. I am receiving error Message no. 7Q005 when I attempt to add another code of the same type.
What is the best practice for configuring/recording withholding tax in this case?
    Example:
    Vendor XYZ
    Header amount of invoice: $1000.00
Amount relevant for withholding tax type FE code 01: $600.00 (rents)
Amount relevant for withholding tax type FE code 07: $400.00 (nonemployee compensation)
    Thanks in advance

Thanks for the input. My problem occurs when attempting to assign the second tax code in the vendor master. The system doesn't allow for the second code of  the same type to be added.
I can assign one code in the vendor master without issue, and all fields are editable in the withholding tax tab for the first code, both for invoicces and for payments.
I have been offered one suggestion to configure a differrent range of codes with a new tax type. This would mean that if I had only one vendor relevant for 3 tax codes (rent, royalties, unemployee compensation) then I would have to configure two additional withholding tax types with all the codes associated with them. This doesn't seem like the best approach -- am I missing a setting or some other minor config to solve this?

  • Calculate withholding tax when have input or output tax

    Dear Forum,
I understand that when the entry has input or output tax, in order to deduct withholding tax, I can deduct from vendor or customer account.
Say if there is input tax, then I cannot deduct from vendor if at the point of vendor or bank if at the point of payment.
Say if there is output tax, then cannot deduct from customer.
    Can advise the reason?
    Thanks

    Dear,
I will answer You with a practical example:

The System will do the following calculation:
Base for Calculation (Gross Amount) in Document Currency                            1000.00 EUR
       - Tax on Sales/Purchases Amount                                                                      56.61 EUR
Base amount = net amount                                                                                943.39 EUR

Final Withholding Tax Amount                                                                               188.70 EUR after rounding
I hope this can help You in understanding the System behaviour.
Please remember to use RFWT1000 by se38 if You need to trace the WT calculation during the simulation.

  • Update Tax Code Name for EU type Tax Code

    Hi Experts
I would like to update the tax code name for Input Tax Codes which have the EU box checked.  The system always gives me the error message 'Value Must Be Empty - Tax Definition EU'.  Is there a way around this please? - it's only the Name that I want to update.
    Many thanks!
    Caroline

    Hi Caroline,
It will not be possible to change the TAX CODE or TAX CODE NAME. You will need to remove the TAX CODE.
But, It there are transaction against the TAX code you will need to create a new TAX CODE.
Pls refer to SAP Note : 1032062 for the Error Message : 'Value Must Be Empty - Tax Definition EU'
    Thanks

  • Error in added withholding tax code in XK02-extended withholding tax

    dear all,
I've just activate extended withholding tax using invoice posting.
When I want to add withholding tax code in vendor master data XK02 it appear error that tax code I've input does not exist in table T059Z, because it read country value "ID" beside the tax code.
For example I've create tax code L1 in country ID, and add L1 in XK02, the error appear 'Entry 'ID L1' does not exist in T059Z.'
Does anyone ever experience the same error?

    Hi Oscar,
i would like to know whether the company and the vendor are both in country ID.
if that is the case, just check in "Check Withholding Tax Countries" whether the country has been included.
and also assign the WHT type to your co code in"Assign Withholding Tax Types to Company Codes".
define the WHT type first and then WHT code.
this should solve your problem. if not, kindly revert.

  • MIRO Tax Codes being changed from PO Tax codes

    Hi,
When I raise a PO with GL acc assignment to 466001 if I use a tax code other than V0 i get the error message "G/L account 466001 permits only tax code V0; this is correct as the only tax code allowed should be V0 for this GL account and this is in the GL master data.
But when I posted two invoices against it using MIRO, one coded V1 and one P1, both of were posted, without the error message "G/L account 466001 permits only tax code V0; P1 is not permitted" showing.
Please can someone tell me why this would be allowed and how I can change it so only the PO tax codes are pulled through and they cannot be changed in MIRO?
    Thanks-
    Shem

    Hello shemhin,

  • Expense G/L Posting with Tax Code

    Hi Expert,
I got an issue as per below:
    1. User purchase a gift with below posting via F-43:
         Dr Expense/Material 100 [with Input Tax 6%]
Dr Input Tax 6 [auto created line]
              Cr Vendor 106
    2. Then there will be a posting to re-class the Expense/Material account to Gift Expense account via Manual Journal:
         Cr Expense/Material 100 [with Output Tax 6%]
Cr Output tax adjustment 6 [expected auto created line]
Dr Gift Expense 106 [with Zero Rated Tax]
The issue that I am having now is, during the second posting via Manual Journal the 'expected auto created line' is not populating.
Does anyone knows why is this happen?
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards,
    Izzat

    Hi All,
    Thanks for your advice,
    Really appreciate it.
I actually managed to solve this issue by creating a new tax code by using a reverse charge mechanism.
Where in the tax code I maintained the Output Tax with -6% and Non Deductible Input Tax 6%. I simulated the scenario and it gave me the result as per what I want.
    Thank you.

  • Tax code - % change in FTXP

    Hi,
Currently we are using tax code x1 for 10%output tax, suddenly on one day it was observed that tax code is changed to 0% output tax in FTXP.
Is there a way to find changes done to particular tax code?
    Awaiting for your response..
    Thanks in advance
    Prasad

    Hi,
If you are using Tax procedure TAXINN then there is a procedure to see the changes.
Go to FV12 and put the condition and select the combination for which the tax percentage was maintained............then go to the upper tool bar and click Environment .It will give a option to see the changes.

  • Tax code in MIRO Tax tab

    Hi,
As of now, MIRO is picking up tax from PO line item.
Now I want to add another tax to that line ...so would like to assign one more tax code to that line through taxes tab in MIRO screen - but I am not able to add it...taxes tab is greyed out (only the tax code from Po appears and calculate tax box ix checked)......so is it that can't I post with 2 taxes for a line?
What should I do in such case?
In short, how to enter the second tax code?
    Thanks in advance
    SKD

    Hello,
I think you don't need add second line item to MIRO PO side. You can split tax line item with your tax code customizing on FTXP.
    You must make some customizing.
    Define an internal processing key,
Financial Accounting (New) -> Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) -> Tax on Sales/Purchases -> Basic Settings -> Check and Change Settings for Tax Processing
You should copy MWS to ZWS
Then assign this key to your tax procedure.
Financial Accounting (New) -> Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) -> Tax on Sales/Purchases -> Basic Settings -> Check and Change Settings for Tax Processing
Then you can see it on FTXP for your tax code. For example, you can enter %5 to MWS and %10 to ZMW line on tax master data. When you post an invoice with this tax code and if your amount base is 100,00 for ex. system calculate two line item, first is 5,00 and second is 10,00.
    I hope it helps,

  • Configure Multiple Tax Codes to appear in MIRO

    Hi,
We have a scenario where a PO was created with a line item which had an incorrect tax code (A1 instead of A0).  It has been posted and GR.  When posting the invoice I would like to correct the tax code for that line item, however I only have the option of A1 or blank.  How can I configure the system to allow more than one tax code to be available for selection at a line item level.
I have played around with the Tax Tab in MIRO to add A0 there, and that results in the drop down box in the header to display A0, but it is still not available in the line item view.
    Thanks
    Natalie

Thanks, we have removed the default setting, but that does not change the available options.  Instead it just defaults it to blank, but I still can only select blank or A1.
The only way that I can get A0 to appear in the header drop down is to add it at the header level Tax tab, where it list all available tax codes.
When i go back to the Basic data Tab the drop down contains:
    A1 (Input (10%) Tax Deductible)
    A0
    <blank>
So it doesn't display the description of tax code A0, so it is like it knows that it shouldn't be there.
Even though A0 is listed in the header section, I am unable to select it at the line item level.

  • How to configure Two Tax Codes for single line item in work order

    Hi All,
Please do Review the below scenario and tell me how to solve it.
    A) Certified Work Done Gross Bill Amt      100,000
    Total Work Done Value      100,000
    Less : Labour & Like Charges @ 30 % on Rs 100,000 =  30,000
    Vat applicable Amount =      70,000
Add VAT @12.5%  Chargeable on Taxable Turnover of Rs. 70,000.00     = 8750
    Total Bill Value = 108750
    Service Tax @ 12.36% on 33% Value of Rs. 100000     = 4079
    G.Bill Amt = 112829
Total Amt Due for Payment = 112829

HI,  There is a possible solution for this scenario.
    1. Create 2 tax codes for VAT and SERVICE Tax at 12.5% and 12.36% respectively
    2. While posting the Invoice (TRX - FB60) following steps need to be followed.
    3. Amount has to be split into two line items
    4. Ist Line Item should have the Vat amount + 70000/- and select relevant tax code that was
        created for 12.5%
    5. Similarly 2nd Line Item should have Service Tax amount + 30000/- and select relevant tax code that
        was created for 12.36%.
Hope this would meet your requirement. If the solution is okay, kindly indicate the points.

  • Output Tax Code In Purchase Order

    Hi all,
It's possible to assign an output tax code to a purchase order?
The system gives me the error message 6164 'Please enter an input tax code, not an output tax code' when I use an output tax . Is there any customization to allow output taxes in purchase orders?
    Thank you,
    RS

    Dear friend...
You cannot use output tax code in purchase order, since output tax codes are used only for sales. If you use output tax code in the PO it will obviously throw the error you said. If you want to have the taxes as shown in the output taxes, if not present in  your input tax codes, you can create new tax code which you desire. Output codes are only for the Sales Order.
Hope it helps re-ward if so
