Configuring WebService Reciever Adapter

Hi All,
I have a scenario like WS->XI->DB.A WebDynPro application shud call a WebService and that WebService retrieves some data from the DB and returns the SOAP response.I was lost in creation of the reciever.Can anyone please help me out in this scenario.The blog 'Testing XI exposed WebServices' are not providing the needed info.

Reciever adapter not working

Hi all,
I am developing the scenario described in the link

The sender adapter picks up the input file called xi_input.xml from path D:\usr\sap\trans\tmp\send
And receiver adapter has to put the output file xi_output.xml,which is a replica of the input file, in the path D:\usr\sap\trans\tmp\receive.
In adapter monitoring for file adapter, the sender adapter gives the msg:
Sender Adapter v1014 for Party '', Service 'FileBpm_bs':
Configured at 15:04:22 2006-05-23
Up and running: Last message processing started 15:19:22 2006-05-23
last poll interval started 15:23:22 2006-05-23
length 60,000 secs
But in message monitoring no msgs can be seen and even the reciever adapter shows the msg:
Receiver Adapter v1027 for Party '', Service 'FileBpm_bs':
Configured at 15:23:36 2006-05-23
Up and running - no message processing until now
On placing the xml file in the sender path it diappears but no file gets generated in the receiver path.
Pls can anybody guide me as to wether something is wrong somewhere or wether i have missed on certain steps.

Hi,
I am still facing the same problem.
I have not used any business system.
There are two business service(one sender and the other reciever).
I have checked sxmb_adm and httpport in the exchange profile but all of them are filled with the respective values:
com.sap.aii.connect.integrationserver.r3.httpport = 8030.
com.sap.aii.connect.integrationserver.httpport = 53000.
in sxmb_adm we have given url as http://10.119.4.33:8030/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
But I am still getting the error msg that reads:
Transmitting the message to endpoint http://itcxi1:53000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry using connection AFW failed, due to: Received HTTP response code 404..
Pls suggest what else do i need to check.

Can any body tell me How to extract data via webservices and configure webservices in BI 7.
i have created a remote functionmodule which extract data from R/3 , now i want to upload data to BI 7 using that remote function module.
i have use webservice (push) as adapter mode, as i want to connect function module with SOAP , via web services.
please can any body tell how to do that.
also how to configure the webserive , what is it .

Hi,
1. Using the function library (transaction SE37), call the Web service creation wizard.
To do this, select the desired function module in the function library and choose Utilities ®Generate Web Service ® From the Function Module.
2. Go through the following steps, shown in the wizard:
a. Create a virtual interface.
The virtual interface represents the interface between the Web Service and the outside.
b. Choose the end point.
The name of the function module that is to be offered as Web service is already entered here.
c. Create the Web service definition.
The Web service definition helps with assigning the Web service features, such as how security can be guaranteed in data transfer.
d. Release the Web service.
The wizard generates the object virtual interface and Web service definition in the object navigator.
The function group that was generated when the XML DataSource was created is not transportable and is thus assigned to a local package. To prevent errors due to transports, make sure that the objects that were generated in the Web service creation wizard are assigned to a local non-transportable package.
The Web service is released for the SOAP runtime.
3. In the virtual interface for the import parameter DATASOURCE, define the name of the XML DataSource as the fixed value.
A separate function group is generated for each XML DataSource. It makes sense to pre-assign the parameter DATASOURCE with the name of the XML DataSource in the virtual interface of the Web service for which the function group was generated.
If you do not pre-assign the parameter, it will be necessary to transfer the data sent with the appropriate filled DataSource element, for example, by setting the value in the application that implements the Web service.
a. In the object navigator, choose the name of the package in which the Web service was created and choose Enterprise Services ® Web Service Library ® Virtual Interfaces.
b. Choose Change in the context menu for the virtual interface.
c. For the virtual interface, remove the flags exposed and initial and enter the name of the XML DataSource in apostrophes, for example u20196ADATASOURCENAMEu2019.
d. Activate the virtual interface.

"Path" in Generated Reciever Adapter

Hi,
While working on JDBC-->XI-->RFC scenario, i have defined Two communication Channels (JDBC_sender and RFC_Reciever).
In JDBC_sender communcation channel, "Generated Reciever Adapter" has been autogenerated. In this adapter, i am confused about the "Path" parameter.
The syntax for Path is as follows...

Where to find the PORT of XI server in XI environment?
While activating my objects in Standard List (Integration Design), the error is popped up to enter the PATH.

HI Jai Shankar,
I ave defined Sender Communciation Channel and JDBC adapter.
In the same way, Reciever Communication Channel and RFC Adapter.
Now in the Sender Business System->Sender Communication Channel> I have found an autogenerated Adapter called "Generated RecieverAdapter".
In this adapter, we need to fill the Service number and Path parameters. If it reamianed untouched, while activation, an error message is popping up.
Hope you got my problem.......

I need to designed a BPM if Message is failed to update database then send an e-mail to alias group in Microsoft outlook by using Receiver Mail adapter.
Can someone help me to design above BPM and how I need to configure receiver mail adapter.

Getting error when configured sender mail adapter

Hi Everyone,
When i tried configuring sender mail adapter am getting these logs in Runtime workbench.
In ID,when i gave ip address in place of URL, am getting this log
"exception caught during processing mail message; java.io.IOException: unexpected password response; read -ERR Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password."
When i gave URL in place of URL, am getting this log
"exception caught during processing mail message; java.net.UnknownHostException:"
why is it giving this log, What correction i have to do to make it work.

1.How to stop deleting mails.
When the IMAP4 protocol is used, we get an option "Delete messages when read".You could specify if you need to delete it or not.
2.How to do mapping for an attachment,what additional things i have to do for this.
Could you please elaborate?
3.Is there any option to change the flag of mail once it is read by XI.
You cannot do this from XI. You would need to do it in your email client. In case you are using IMAP4,you could mark the message as read, once XI reads the unread message.

Hi Chiru,
      It seems that you may have missed some steps while doing the configuration. After doing all the activities in SLD and IR and activating all the components created in IR it should work.
      Plz check that you have selected as Adapter Type as File and correct namepace in the next field. Transport Protocol as File System (NFS), Message Protocol as File and I hope after all these information you will get Integration Server in the Adapter Engine field.
    If the problem persists please revert back.

I am trying to install SAP IDES 6.0..... while i m trying to install it , it is asking forUnlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files at runtime.
I do have local and US policy jar file, but i guess its asking for JCE extension file, i dont know about it. so i m not able to proceed
further. it gives osme error about local host. i think its about Microsoft loopback adapter. can anyone have idea abt it.How to

Channel Name : CH1

Mapping of message : Entire Message = JMS Payload
But the status is red with an error message Sender Details : NULL
Could you please tell me what went wrong?

Hi,
Make sure that Websphere MQ server is running.
If u r comfortable with java, you can even write a Java code to acces the server and check if the JMS server is working fine. Some times there will be sample applications provided by Websphere MQ itself.
Once the java program works then it will be easy to debug the error over here.

Hi Folks,
I have a sceanrio where an AXIS client needs to talk to the XI SOAP Adapter.
How do I configure the SOAP adapter?
I tried to access the help docs for configuring the SOAP adapter. I understand that the adapter depends upon the plain J2SE Adapter Engine which should be available on port 8000.
But when I try to access
http://<hostname>:8000 I get an access denied error

Hi Shailesh,
Maybe your 8000 Port is in Use. So you can chance the port to 8200 or something else.
You Change port in "GUIBrowserEngine.properties" file.
And try to patch the Plain J2SE Adapter Engine with "SP 10 for XI Connectivity SE 3.0"

How to configure an jms adapter to use ActiveMQ?

Does anyone have an example of how to configure an jms adapter of oracle esb
for third party JMS provider to use ActiveMQ?
I had done something as follow:
1、add activemq shared-library in $SOA_INSTANCE/config/service.xml
2、config a jms adapter fro third party use paramter:
 java.naming.factory.initial org.apache.activemq.jndi.ActiveMQInitialContextFactory
 java.naming.provider.url tcp://10.20.30.26:61615
but I got a error:ERRJMS_CONN_FAC_NOT_FOUND.
