Conflict in Form Distribution when 2 email exists

Hi,
I have a form that has a "Submit by email" but on the same form I have another button that says "submit suggestions by email". Everything works fine until I try to distribute the forms, it says that there is a conflict of URL or Email addresses. Is there a way for PDF to choose one over the other? THank you in advance!

Is this in the wrong forum? The problem I am having is with Acrobat's Distribution feature.

• Form distribution error with email client

Hi All-
I have an extremely frustrating problem. I have designed a form in LiveCycle ES 8.2.1 for users to fill out and submit via xml. I would like to use Acrobat Pro 9.1.0 to track and collect responses from this form. When I test the original form, the submit button works perfectly and it opens my email client (Groupwise) attaches the xml and populates the To, Subject, and Body fields perfectly.
The problem comes when I try to use Acrobat to distribute and track the forms. It creates a filed called 'form_distributed' that adds a bunch of code that completely screws up my form submission. When the form_distributed is filled out, and the user clicks the submit button, Groupwise is invoked, but I get a 'Check Names' dialog box that states
"Windows Messaging does not recognize "1. Double-click the attachment".
After I click cancel on that dialog box, the JavaScript Debugger shows:
Exception in line 63 of function top_level, script XFA:form1[0]:p1[0]:Button1[0]:click
RaiseError: One of the specified recipients is not resolvable.
Doc.submitForm:63:XFA:form1[0]:p1[0]:Button1[0]:click
===> One of the specified recipients is not resolvable.
The distributed version has this extra code inserted
< script contentType="application/x-javascript">//@@SUBMITURL "mailto:[email protected]?subject=Submitting Completed Form&body=Instructions to add this form to a responses file:\n1. Double-click the attachment.\n2. Acrobat will prompt you to select a responses file.&ui=false"
and further down....
// submit the form
if (bContinue) {
var rawURL = "[email protected]?subject=Submitting Completed Form&body=Instructions to add this form to a responses file:\n1. Double-click the attachment.\n2. Acrobat will prompt you to select a responses file.&ui=false";
var submitURL;
if (app.viewerVersion < 9.0)
submitURL = "mailto:" + rawURL;
else
submitURL = "mailto:" + escape(rawURL);
currentDoc.submitForm({
cURL: submitURL,
cSubmitAs: "PDF"
});
}
Are these lines of code always inserted when the form is distributed?
How can I distribute and track these responses?
It seems to be reading
"[email protected]?subject=Submitting Completed Form&body=Instructions to add this form to a responses file:\n"
as the first email address and then getting hung up on the body and interpreting it as an incomplete email address.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• Contact form error when hotmail email address is used...

I need urgent assistance with this please...
We design websites for our members of our training business and we have been contacted by several of our members saying that when a potential client fills in the contact form and uses a hotmail account in the email field, then no notifications are received from our members. This is a huge inconvienience as we have no control over what email account our potential clients use. The "email to" field is set to our members own personal email accounts and they receive all completed forms as long as the potential client does not use a hotmail account in the email field.
Please help as this is a massive bug and it seems many have this problem.

After many support conversations from Adobe, they have said this is a server issue which 3rd party who hosts our sites. But...
Further 2 days worth of tests from our hosting and domain providers 'Heart Internet', their experts have said -
"Thanks for your patience.
We've been testing this for you and it appears that the hotmail, yahoo and AOL emails aren't arriving because of an error in the form.
The form would need to be told that it needs to accept these emails by specifying them in the script. Unfortunately as coding is outside of our support, the support we can offer is limited."
Really angry that Adobe had said it isn't an issue with Muse and yet to solve this problem. This is a huge problem if no forms will be submitted if the email field contains 'hotmail' 'AOL' or 'Yahoo' email addresses.
In my eyes this is a nice ploy to get people signing up with Business Catalyst - which doesnt offer what we need from web hosting.
Very disgruntled!

I have a user on an iMac 10.6 connected to our domain. She uses Outlook web access for email on our exchange server. Last week she received the following message which is randomly preventing her from sending emails. She claims no attachment was involved in the original email when this all started. I have not been able to look at her account as she is out of the office but maybe someone else dealt with this issue. I realize this may not be Mac related but thought I'd give it a try. She did say it occurred once over two days while working on a PC but it continued over the past weekend.
If an internal user tries to send a message with infected attachment using Outlook Web Access, it may report the following error message: The action could not be completed because of a conflict with the original item. The conflict may have occurred when an existing item was updated on another computer or device. Open the item again and try making your changes. If the problem continues, contact technical support for your organization.
This is because F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange has detected a virus in the attachment. If the user tries to send the message again, the message will be sent but without the attachment. At the same time a blank message with an attachment named "Attachment_information.txt" will remain in the user's Drafts folder. The "Attachment_information.txt" will contain information about the virus detected in the message.

PS - have found other posts indicating that clips smaller than 2s or sometimes 5s, or "short files" can cause this. Modern style editing often uses short takes ! Good grief I cannot believe Apple. Well I deleted a half a dozen short sections and can export, but now of course the video is a ruined piiece of junk and I need to re-do the whole thing, the sound etc. which is basically taking as much time as the original. And each time I re-do it I risk again this lovely error -50 and again trying to figure out what thing bugs it via trial and error instead of a REASONABLE ERROR MESSAGE POINTING TO THE CLIP IT CAN'T PROCESS. What a mess. I HATE this iMovie application - full of BUGS BUGS BUGS which Apple will not fix obviously, since I had this product for a few years and see just hundreds of hits on Google about this error with disappointed users. Such junk I cannot believe I paid money for it and Apple does not support it with fixes !!!
If anyone knows of a GOOD reasonably priced video editing program NOT from APPLE I am still looking for suggestions. I want to do more video in future, but obviously NOT with iMovie !!!

If you had iCloud backup turned on, and it made a backup - yes. If you didn't have iCloud backup turned on - but were using iCloud for Contacts, calendars, etc. You will get the contacts and calendars, etc back.
Purchases made with your appleID can be redownloaded as long as they are still available in the iTunes store.
If you connected your phone to a computer with iTunes, there may be a backup on there as well.

• Form distribution submit button: how to avoid this or remove it when it's automatically inserted?

I've form(s), created in Acrobat X Pro, that I want to put on a web page for download and fill in. I tried this with FDF but... because I have a number of forms it proved very time consuming to match the FDF data to the relevant form. I'm now trying to do this through acrobat,com and form distribution.
Help pages for Acrobat X Pro state;
"Home / Using Acrobat X Pro / Forms
Setting action buttons
Add a submit button
When you distribute a form, Acrobat automatically checks the form. If it doesn’t find a submit button, it adds a Submit Form button to
the document message bar. Users can click the Submit Form button to send completed forms back to you. If you don’t plan to use the
Submit Form button created by Acrobat, you can add a custom submit button to your form."
My form already has a submit button (whose target I changed to acrobat.com) which also submits to PayPal for payment and pops up a warning message to avoid (hopefully) double submission etc. (which works OK in the undistributed form) but the wizard doesn't detect this and inserts an additional submit button - top right, in the purple area.
How can I avoid this or remove it?

Somehow I accidentally deleted this message trying to edit it... sorry.

How do I send email from a specific account when multiple accounts exist in Outlook?
Below is the code that I have. I think I'm supposed to use the AddressEntry or AddressEntries to designate where emails are sent from. However, at the moment, I haven't found an example.

Hello SV,
The MailItem class provides the
SendUsingAccount property which allows to set an Account object
that represents the account under which the MailItem is
to be sent. Here is what MSDN states:
The SendUsingAccount property can be used to specify the account
that should be used to send the MailItem when the Send method
is called.
Sub SendUsingAccount()
Dim oAccount As Outlook.account
For Each oAccount In Application.Session.Accounts
If oAccount.AccountType = olPop3 Then
Dim oMail As Outlook.MailItem
Set oMail = Application.CreateItem(olMailItem)
oMail.Subject = "Sent using POP3 Account"
oMail.Recipients.Add ("[email protected]")
oMail.Recipients.ResolveAll
oMail.SendUsingAccount = oAccount
oMail.Send
End If
Next
End Sub

• Acrobat 9 Pro form distribution problem (Enhanced Security?)

I am trying to distribute an Acrobat Pro form to several individuals who happen to be listed in my Outlook 2003 Address Book. When I type an email address into the "To" section of the form distribution pane, Acrobat automatically converts the email address to the recipient's name, which I can only assume is being accessed throughthe Outlook Address Book. Is there any way to isolate Acrobat Pro from my address book? Would changing the Acrobat preferences for "Security (Enhanced)" and un-checking "Automatically trust sites from my Win OS security zones" keep Acrobat from accessing my Outlook address book?

Is it tunred off for the Reader installation or in your Acrobat installation. It doesn't matter what your Acrobat settings are when it's used by someone else with Reader.
Recent versions of Acrobat/Reader do not cache form data in the way mentioned by GKaiseril. This used to happen when a form was viewed in a browser.

• How do I submit my form as PDF in email?

I just completed a PDF form with a Submit by email button, I was able to set the email id but when i press Submit by Email button, it attaches an XML. How do I make LiveCycle Designer save the form as pdf and attach it to the set email id? Help please

Open your form in Acrobat Professional. Using the Advanced pull down menu choose, "Extend Features in Adobe Reader". You'll get a warning message which includes the following note - "Once reader enabled, certain functions,such as editing document content or inserting and deleting pages will be restricted." Read so you are sure this is what you want then choose Save Now. Reader rights are now enabled.
To answer your question on usage rights, I went right to the acrobate users group and copied their indepth explanation
"To summarize the EULA as it relates to enabling PDFs, you are granted permission for enabling a PDF for a maximum of 500 uses. This means that if you post a PDF enabled form on your Web site and 500 people fill out the form, you're within the licensing agreement. If you enable a form where more than 500 people fill out and submit the form back to you, you're not complying with the licensing in the EULA. There are many uses for staying within the 500 limit. You might want to enable files used as a purchase order form, a travel expense form, a vacation leave form, etc. The form can be used by several Adobe Reader users many times, but needs to stay within the 500 use limitation.
For a huge number of appliications this new enabling feature is designed for people who don't have industrial strength needs for forms distribution that require purchase of LRES. A charity golf tournament, a small conference, a PTA event, etc. are all likely candidates for using the new enabling features in Acrobat Professional."

• Adobe form distribution problem

Form created in LiveCycle and distributed with Adobe Pro...3 choices for distribution.
1) Through Acrobat.com (which stores the responses on Adobe servers)
2) By email (This is not an option for me because these forms can not invoke an email client on submission from the user. --> group policy locked-down machines.)
3) To an internal server
Option 3 works great for me as long as the person submitting the form is on my LAN. The problem is that we have users not on the LAN submitting the form. My repository for the responses needs to be accessible from the internet.
What I tired:
Shared folder on server. Full permissions for "everyone" just to avoid that as a problem during configuration....
Folder web shared by IIS.
Trying to use the distribution wizard to set this up for that folder. It wants a UNC path but that will not work for external users and no matter what http path I put in there is tells me it is unable to create the shared folder....
Obviously, if the forms can distribute and submit to Acrobat.com then they can submit to my own server. The question is how can I do this? Very frustrating.

Hello Gregg,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble distributing your form. However, I'm not sure I understand exactly what's going wrong when you try to use Acrobat.com to distribute the form; what happens when you select that option? It should be a mostly automated process, and there's a video on using Acrobat.com for form distribution here:
http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/video_workshop/?id=vid0348
If you are not interested in using Acrobat.com for forms (it's not entirely clear whether you are trying to use Acrobat.com or another server), please post your question to the Acrobat forum; as this forum is for Acrobat.com questions, we are not able to help with questions specific to other Adobe products and services.
