Connecting DI to BW Datasource(Target) von Windows
Hi All,
I am trying to setup up a scenaroi where we load the BW system(target) via DI.
I have done my setup but unable to activate the RFCSVR on the DI side.
I cant figure out the values for the RFCSVR.EXE and also could anyone send me any detailed steps guide for DI>>BW setup.
Thanks
Raao
Hi Werner,
Thanks for your mail. I have gone through those documents and trying for a while now to start the DI RFCSVR on my machine.

Cannot deploy application because of JDBC datasource target misconfigured
--- environnement ---
Weblogic 10.3.2
Windows 2008 R2
Sun Java 6
Hello, I'd like to have your advices on my issue.
I tried to deploy an application in my weblogic domain but it kept on status deploy running
My domain is configured as follow
clusterA and clusterB
JDBC datasource targets on clusterA and clusterB
Today we had to rename clusterB to clusterC
and we cannot start the managed servers (they stayed in ADMIN state) so we tried to redeploy the application but the deployment process'status was deploy running
After investigating for a very long time, we finaly noticed that our JDBC datasource was misconfigured. After correcting this, the deployement was successfull.
now I'm wondering how a misconfigured JDBC datasource can prevent a deployement of an ear, maybe the code is requesting something during its deployement but I don't know the application and looking at the stacktrace didn't give me any clue except the hibernate message.
Thanks in advance for your advices.
For info here's the stacktrace:

at weblogic.work.ExecuteThread.run(ExecuteThread.java:173)Hello,
Here is the solution...
Solution 1:
Undeploy sap.com/cafUIservicebrowser from SP06 or SP07 before starting upgrade to SP11.
Solution 2:
Upgrade to SP08 first and than to SP11.
The Solution was discussed on NW04s STAB and accepted due to following reasons:
- There will be not much customers upgrading from SP06 or SP07 to SP11. The most of customers have already upgraded to SP08 and will not be affected by this issue.
- Unchecking the Web Dynpro check before upgrades from from SP06 or SP07 to SP11 is unacceptable.

Currently my main Administrator account on my Macbook Pro is having problems after login.
After login, the dock crashes, the monitor flashes gray and dock reloads. Activity Monitor shows insane CPU usage from the dock. (Up to 170%)
From my assessment, the error lies in the dock. However, after trying various methods such as clearing caches files, and removing duplicated files. The problem still occurs.
The following are the error messages from the console.

I am trying to move a pdf file onto my iPad2, and it says that the device is not connected or has stopped working. But Windows 7 recognizes the device and I can see my pictures. Same thing happens when I try to put music onto the iPad.
When in iTunes on the computer,my our ipadmshould show under devices.
Click on your ipadmunder devices then go to music at top center of the iTunes window, check what you want to sync for music. You need to set it to a folder if I remember which would have your music in it you want synced.
Same with PDF files.....there should be an option for data or even PDF files at the top center area of iTunes when the iPad is clicked under devices.
If your iPad does not show or you cannot click on it under devices which is in the leftane of iTunes, the iPad is not being seen by the computer.
Try unplugging the USB cord from the laptop then give it a few and see if the computer picks it up. -

What's the difference between using a connection pool and a datasource
Howdy. I figure this is a newbie question, but I can't seem to find an
answer.
In the docs at bea, the datasource docs say
"DataSource objects provide a way for JDBC clients to obtain a DBMS
connection. A DataSource is an interface between the client program and the
connection pool. Each data source requires a separate DataSource object,
which may be implemented as a DataSource class that supports either
connection pooling or distributed transactions."
In there it says the datasource uses the connection pool, but other than
that, what is the difference between a connection pool and a datasource?Thanks for the info. I think it makes some sense. But it's a bit greek.
I'm sure it'll make more sense the more I work with it. Thanks.

Peter,
Here is a more formal definition of a DataSource from the Sun site
"A factory for connections to the physical data source that thisDataSource object
represents. An alternative to the DriverManager facility, a DataSourceobject
is the preferred means of getting a connection. An object that implementsthe
DataSource interface will typically be registered with a naming servicebased
on the JavaTM Naming and Directory (JNDI) API.
The DataSource interface is implemented by a driver vendor. There arethree types
of implementations:
Basic implementation -- produces a standard Connection object
Connection pooling implementation -- produces a Connection object thatwill automatically
participate in connection pooling. This implementation works with amiddle-tier
connection pooling manager.
Distributed transaction implementation -- produces a Connection objectthat may
be used for distributed transactions and almost always participates inconnection
pooling. This implementation works with a middle-tier transaction managerand
almost always with a connection pooling manager.
Does that help clarify the distinction?

My iPod touch screen says it is disabled. Connect to iTunes. When I connect the device to the computer a window pops up and said that the iPod is locked and I need to enter the passcode on the iPod..... I can't get it to do anything. Any ideas?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

Error executing a Oracle query when connection is fetched from Datasource
Hi Folks,
I am struggling with a rather wierd issue. The DBA of my application has exposed some function based view(not exactly sure what that means) which returns results like any query over a table. I am having a tough time consuming it in my java application. The name of the view is - `networknode_api.get_ftapp_networknode_hrchy` The SQL for it is(syntax might be a bit strange as there is actual word `table` in the query)
view plaincopy to clipboardprint?
Note: Text content in the code blocks is automatically word-wrapped
01.SELECT * FROM table (networknode_api.get_ftapp_networknode_hrchy('19-Feb-2013'));
SELECT * FROM table (networknode_api.get_ftapp_networknode_hrchy('19-Feb-2013'));
The query returns a hierarchical result data, provided below is a sample output (ignore the ouput if the formatting is too werid)
Parent_NODE | Child_NODE | NODE_DISPLAY_NAME | BEGIN_DATE | END_COB_DATE | LVL
null | CCN | Connent Node | 01/20/2013 | 10/19/2013 | 1

I have the following method in my DAO -
public List<NetworkNodeGroupDTO> fetchNetworkNodeHierarchy(Date cobDate) {
try {
InitialContext ic = new InitialContext();
//DataSource ds1 = (DataSource) ic.lookup("jndiDsFlex");
//Connection conn = ds1.getConnection();
/* Using the RmiDataSource class for performance optimizations */
weblogic.jdbc.common.internal.RmiDataSource ds = (weblogic.jdbc.common.internal.RmiDataSource) ic.lookup("jndiDsNex");
Connection conn = ds.getConnection();
Statement stmt = conn.createStatement();
boolean hasRows = stmt.execute("SELECT * FROM table (networknode_api.get_ftapp_networknode_hrchy('19-Feb-2013'))");
rs = stmt.getResultSet();
while(rs.next()) {
System.out.println(rs.getString("parent_node"));
System.out.println(rs.getString("child_node"));
System.out.println(rs.getString("node_display_name"));
stmt.close(); stmt = null;
conn.close(); conn = null;
} catch(Exception ex) {
ex.printStackTrace();
return null; // please ignore the return type for now
Exception is thrown at line - stmt.execute(....)
java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00904: : invalid identifier
I debugged through the code and noted the driver and connection details that the connection object has embedded. Using that I wrote a sample java jdbc code-
public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {
try {
//Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
//Class.forName("weblogic.jdbc.rmi.Driver");
Driver myDriver = (Driver) Class.forName("weblogic.jdbc.jts.Driver").newInstance();
} catch (ClassNotFoundException e) {
System.out.println("Where is your Oracle JDBC Driver?");
e.printStackTrace();
return;
Connection connection = null;
try {
connection = DriverManager.getConnection(
"jdbc:oracle:thin:@//ssn20331020-rt.eu.prog.net:1522/NEXSERV",
"sample",
"sample1234");
} catch (SQLException e) {
System.out.println("Connection Failed! Check output console");
e.printStackTrace();
return;
Statement stmt = connection.createStatement();
stmt.execute("SELECT * FROM table (flex_compnode_api.get_ftapp_compnode_hrchy('19-Feb-2013'))");
ResultSet rs = stmt.getResultSet();
int i = 0;
while(rs.next()) {
String pNode = rs.getString("parent_node");
String cNode = rs.getString("child_node");
String dName = rs.getString("node_display_name");
System.out.println("Hello: "+i++);
The above code works perfectly fine. Also tried the above code using normal Oracle JDBC driver and too works fine. I am baffled; what goes wrong when using the connection from a DataSource object. Does the driver treat SQL statements differently based on how the connection object is obtained? Appreciate your inputs/comments for same.
The oracle db version is - Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64bit Production

Firefox no longer connects to internet on my mac, and windows machines, after v18. I've tried several solutions from Mozilla support and nothing works. Firefox can't even connect to Mozilla for updates. Firefox just sits on the default search page and attempts to connect to websites by typing URLs, or by clicking on the links on the default search page don't work.
You could try the following:
* Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version)
* Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs, then add it back. For detailed instructions, see Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet.
Let us know if this fixed your problem! -
Hello. I have an ipod classic generation 4 and I want to add some more music to it however my computer and itunes do not recognise the device when I try to connect it. Is it incompatible with windows 7 or current version of itunes?
It should still be compatible. Have you tried plugging it into a different USB port using a different cable to see if that helps? Perhaps, try it another computer as well to see if it's recognized there.
Otherwise, start by checking to see if it's even recognized in Device Manager. See this article for details.

IPhone 4 not connecting to any computer, Mac OS or Windows, or iTunes after ios 7 update
Hello Apple community,
I desparately need help connecting my iphone 4 to iTunes so I can restore my previous iPhone4 backup that is on my windows laptop computer. It used to connect perfectly to my windows 7 laptop with iTunes, but after ios 7 (and subsequently 7.1) update, it no longer connects to windows, iTunes (yes latest version), nor shows in Windows device manager. (yes, I tried repairing, updating, and re-installing apple usb driver + iTunes. Win7 is totally up to date too)
How did it all start?
1. The phone completely went dead after trying the ios 7 update (with full battery charge). Previously, the iphone 4 worked PERFECT on ios 6. So, I went to apple store, and they connected it to their laptop at the Genius Bar and performed a fresh ios 7 install. So, I had a fresh working ios 7 phone WITHOUT all my previous data.
2. No problem? I'll just go home and use the iTunes backup file on my win7 computer to restore all my files. However, this iphone4 won't connect to my laptop or any other computer at all.
Current Status:
A) iPhone4 battery only charges if phone is completely off and plugged into the Wall-electrical-outlet charger.
B) no usb data connection regardless of computer type (Mac or Windows PC) and different usb cables were tried.
C) When plugged into my iHome alarm-clock and music player, the iPhone4 can be controlled by the iHome's menu buttons (play, rewind, fast forward, time sync, plays the iphone4 music through the iHome speaker, etc). Also, the iPhone4 does not charge as before because the phone is still powered ON.
D) An iPhone repair technician confirmed the phone battery and female-charge-docking connector work fine because he swapped those parts for new ones and phone still had the same problem.
The only thing that changed on this iPhone 4 was the ios 7 update. How can so much go wrong by just updating to ios 7 and do any of you apple gurus have any idea how else to fix this problem?I am having the same problem. I can not seem to find any fix. I have tried everything my computer said to do. I am out of options right now. any help?

Problems connecting to the internet after Upgrade from windows 8.1 pro
Cant connect to the internet after upgrading to windows 8.1 pro, what can i do to rectify this problem?
ThanksHi,
You can also try to install the older version in compatible mode:
Windows 8.1 Wifi showing "limited" or "No Internet Access"
Solution: revert your network adapter driver back to an older version
http://blogs.technet.com/b/dennis_schnell/archive/2013/08/31/windows-8-1-wifi-showing-quot-limitied-quot-or-quot-no-internet-access-quot.aspx
In addition, disable power management on your network driver:
Open Network and Sharing Center.
Click the Change adapter settings link in the upper left of the navigation pane.
Right click the network connection you want to enable/disable power management support on and click Properties .
Click Configure .
On the Power Management tab, clear the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box.
If the issue still persists, please upload the event log for our research:

Why can't I connect to the itunes store on my windows 7 64 bit pc
Why can't I connect to the itunes store on my windows 7 64 bit pc?
perfect, thanks.
When I try to connect to the itunes store, it says 'accessing itunes store' and just hangs there.
With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.) -
Trying to connect my replacement Iphone 3GS to my windows 7 laptop but it is not recognised at all, my ipod can connect no problem, my iphone can connect to my windows vista computer no problem. Any ideas?
