Connecting to Oracle9i through ADO

Hi,
I have an visual basic 6.0 application .It connects to the Database using ADO .The application works fine with Oracle7.x and Oracle 8i.However there are issues when the Database is Oracle 9i.The problem is Stored Procedures using ADO do not get executed.The same procedure(to manupilate table data)gets executed just fine when run at the backend.
There is no problem with the package installation(I am able to log in into the package etc.) or 9i Installation(packages and procedures are valid and get executes when run at the backend).I have a feeling that the problem lies with ADO.Any suggestions on how to solve the issue?

I am able to create a DSN using Oracle Driver "Oracle in OraHome90".
The following is the code for ADO connection
Public WithEvents adoConn As ADODB.Connection
Set adoConn = New ADODB.Connection
ConnectStr = "DRIVER={Oracle in OraHome90};" & _
"SERVER=XXXX;UID = "XXX/XXX"
With adoConn
.CursorLocation = adUseClient
.CommandTimeout = 0
.Open ConnectStr
End With
The above code does not even establish a connection even.I substituted the ConnectStr with the following code
ConnectStr = "DSN=OraTest;UID=XXX;PWD=XXX;DBQ=XXX;DBA=W;APA=T;EXC=F;FEN=T;QTO=T;FRC=10;FDL=10;LOB=T;RST=T;GDE=F;FRL=F;BAM=IfAllSuccessful;MTS=F;MDI=F;CSR=F;FWC=F;PFC=10;TLO=0;"
In the above case,connection gets established but I am not able to populate a recordset even.(The query used is a vaid query and returns more than one row when executed in the backend).
I am totally lost out here.Pls help.
