Connection issue between Data service(DQ) to PI through SOAP adapter.

Hi Guys,
We are trying to connect the data services(DQ) with SAP PI through SOAP adapter. I provided the wsdl file to data services team and they are trying to send messages to PI. Looks like the messages are showing successful in there system, but not showing up in PI system.
I tried the same file using xmlspy and PI receiving the messages from XMLSPY. We are wondering whats going wrong?
Any idea about this data services system? Is there any other better way to receive messages to PI apart from webservices?
PS: Connection is working fine from PI to DQ thorugh SOAP adapter.

You are using soap sender adapter ... Hosting webservices and DQ team is able to access your webservice. Also using XMLSPY you are able to see pi messages.
If you are using advance adapter engine, Please check only in the RWB -> adapter engine.
If you are not using AAE, check in both SXMB_MONI and RWB for the wide range... Something problem with filter query in your checking...
Note since XMLSPY testing goes through Pi and able to monitor means you dont need another webservice client tool.

use tcp monitor to monitor the soap message ... It is better option

I want to make a connection between Data Services 3.2 and BWA. Since we use RFC connection in between in order to have them talk with eachother but i wonder if there is any documentation that describes the RFC connection and configuration required particularly in this scenario. I have gone through the documentation that explains RFC connection between Data Services and BW and what configuration we have to do, so i wonder if there are any functions we have to export to BWA from Data Services like we do in case of BW connection to Data Services or some specific configuration we have to do. Beta 2: Connect to ColdFusion Data Service issue

I installed Beta 2 and am re-doing my data services for a Beta 1 app now since package names, etc. have changed in Beta 2. When I go to the Connect to ColdFusion Data Service wizard and point to my .cfc, the accompanying"Service Operations" dialog box is blank, it no longer shows any of the operations in my .cfc, so I'm not able to select any.
Why is it doing this?

That is the right directory. Not sure as to why that file is not there, but method-access-level tag that I was mentioning, if it is set to remote, then you can see only those functions that have access = "remote", so in all probability wherever that value is it is set to remote (probably in services-config.xml itself, are you using 8.01 or 8.0?)
So, just change the access attribute in cffunction to remote, you should be able to see the functions.

RFC connection from SAP Data services to SAP ECC

We have data services set up in linux machine. I am trying to set up RFC connection between data services and SAP ECC.
From data management console after creating RFC connection i am getting "RFC_bad_connection" error message. Username , password, system number, hostname and client is working from SAP GUI and has all the authorizations. SAP gateway and service is name is correct.
Did anyone had similar issue and what was the solution. Do we have start the RFC connection from linux data services machine, i didn't see any sh executable to do so.

Connectivity issues between Cisco 2901 and Cisco SG300-52

Hello,
I am having some serious connectivity issues between the hosts in my LAN.
My LAN is based on a Cisco 2901 router and a Cisco SG300-52 port switch.
The issue that has been happening is that connections between hosts on the LAN (remote desktop, extended ping, etc) is very unstable, at some point I can see a 35% lost packets on an extended ping. This happens at any time of the day and from any host.
All hosts are on the same Vlan(default Vlan) and on the same subnet. Some hosts have fixed IP addresses (servers and network equipment) and others obtain their IP address trough a DHCP reservation established on the router (reserved with the MAC address of every host).
I can provide further details if needed, because this issue is very serious and I would really appreciate any insight or support.

EDIT: After doing every test we could think of, we finally found the reason behind this problem.
It turns out that the switch has problems handling communications between clients at different speeds, because most of the hosts connected were working at 100 Mbps but the servers were working at 1000 Mbps (and the communication between host and servers wasn't stable).
After manually setting the speed on all ports to 100 Mbps the problems have stopped.

The only way to get this working again is to downgrade to 8.2
Seems Apple does not have this on a high priority list and am not willing to buy something that works for a lot of money. The flying community who uses this for navigation is having a lot of problems with this issue. The position awareness is compromised. Hope they fix this quickly

Workbench is used to create, display and modify the objects. It will display the source table data and we can see the logs of the job which we have executed and also we can see the status of a job. In bods 4.2 you can design the dataflow in workbench in previous release we don’t have that option but designer contains debugging option, you can write scripts, it will support all databases; these option are not available in workbench. for more information refer this document:

Cannot connect to ColdFusion Data/Service in Flash Builder 4

Hello,
I am attempting to connect to a ColdFusion data service using the Connect to Data/Service for Flash4 window, however, when I go to select service type I only see HTTP or XML as options. I have set-up my Flash project with CF Flash Remoting and when I type http://localhost:8500/flashservices/gateway into a browser I get a blank page, which I think means that the Flash gateway is working. I am going crazy trying to figure this out, any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you been a customer long enough call and ask for a unlock code for your phone and get a temporary sim to use (similar to how walmart here has straight talk) and use that. You will of course need to buy the sim and buy the time you use. This way it will avoid big charges on your bill etc.. So just call verizon and ask for a unlock code and you will take out your current phone sim (put it somewhere safe) and put the new sim in and turn phone on and put the unlock code in. Make sure the sim you get it set to use the type of network your phone is. (look at the specs of your phone) good luck.

Connecting to ADO Data Services using XML Data

Has anyone attempted to connect to a database using ADO Data Services? My understanding of ADO Data Services is that it allows querying of the database in a REST format. So if I publish a site, I can get to its data with a URL like this:
http://mysite/myservice.svc/entity where entity is a defined entity like Product, or supplier. Going to this site returns data that I have included at the end of this post, with the Entry node repeating (I only included the first Entry node). I definitely cannot use Web Service as my connection method, because there is no WSDL, but I was thinking maybe I could use XML. However, I have read the help file and several forum posts and I can't seem to figure out how to make XML work.

If the SQL Server Integration Services is Enterprise or Developer edition of SQL Server 2008, we can use
Microsoft Connector Version 1.2 for Oracle to connect Oracle databases with version Oracle 9.2.0.4 or higher, Oracle 10.x or Oracle 11.x. If the SQL Server Integration Services is Enterprise or Developer edition of SQL Server 2012, we can use
Microsoft Connector Version 2.0 for Oracle to connect Oracle databases with version Oracle 9.2.0.4 or higher, Oracle 10.x or Oracle 11.x.
While if we want to connect to other Oracle version databases, we can use
OLE DB provider for Oracle which has been tested in SSIS labs and is recommended by Microsoft.

Connection issue between Cisco 515 Pix and Cisco 1841 router

Hi,
I am having a problem getting a Cisco Pix 515 communicating to a Cisco 1841. I am currently studying for CCNA so forgive me if it's obvious to the rest of you where the problem lies.
The client currently has an ISDN service which is being moved over to a 2MB E1 connection.
I have configured the 1841 router with G.703 WIC according to the information given to me by the ISP. I have configured the 1841 to have the same internal IP as the ISDN Cisco 800 series router, hoping for a simple swap over. The Pix 515 sits behind the ISDN at present and will be behind the 1841 when it is active.
Once I unplug the 800 series ISDN router and plug the 1841 into the pix, I cannot get any response what so ever. I have tried changing the ethernet connection speeds between the pix and 1841 hoping it would be as simple as that without success. Can't get ping responses from either end but I can when the ISDN service is plugged in. Both ISDN and E1 link are supplied by the same ISP, Telstra Australia and the fixed IP's are able to move over to the E1 service.
I have not touched the pix in any way. A seperate company configured the router a couple of years ago.
I have included the configurations of the existing ISDN, Pix and the 1841 for you to review. Any advise/solutions would be greatly appreciated.

The outside interface on your PIX is configured as 10BaseT which would be fine when using the original 800 series ISDN router.
Now with your new 1841, the interface that the PIX connects to is Fast Ethernet so you need to change your outside interface on the PIX to the same
If you want to use auto negotiation between the PIX and router then the command to do this on the PIX is
interface ethernet0 auto
I recommend using hard coded settings between the PIX and router and the command to do this on this PIX is
interface ethernet0 100full
You will also need to change your router as:
interface FastEthernet0/0
speed 100
duplex full
If you can't configure the PIX as you mentioned an external company did it, then i guess you could change your Fast Ethernet interface to "speed 10", "duplex half".
This won't create a bottleneck as you only have a 2 MB connection to your ISP

Persistent cache issue in Data Services

Hi,
I have created a Persistent cache Datastore in Data Services and provided C:\cache as the Cache directory. cache is the new dir. that i created in my local C drive. This is the machine where designer has been installed. The job server is in another machine.
I am loading data from one table into a Persistent cache table in Persistent DS. While running the job, i am getting the below error:
Cache directory <C:\cache> does not exist for persistent cache table <.....> in data store <.....> for <configuration1> configuration.
Any views regarding this?

Since you are running a job, create the path on application server.Create a folder structure in your application server and then use that path. you will have to create logical path and file name for that.

Rule sharing between Data services and Information steward

Hi, I would like to know if there is any way we can share/import Data services validation rules or functions into Information Steward. I know that we can import informaton steward rules/functions in Data services but not sure of vice versa.

You can only import rules into Information Steward that were exported from another instance of Information Steward. You cannot export a validation rule from Data Services to a zip format as is required by Information Steward. The format that the rules are exported from Data Services are not compatible with import to Information Steward.
Please refer to the Information Steward User's Guide in the section titled Importing and Exporting rules. This states "You can also import rules which were exported from other instances of SAP BusinessObjects Information Steward."
You can of course export rules from Information Steward directly to Data Services where they will be available for use in the Validation transform and in dataflows.

1. Create any data service.

4. Generate a client service control(WorkShop 9.2beta) based on WSDL of web-enable data service.

I think if you switch the order of (2) and (3) you'll get what you want.
If you generate the WSDL before introducing the 'submit' method, your wsdl won't have a submit method.

IMessage issue between different service providers?

I am having problems with sending/receiving iMessages between different service providers. If you start an iMessage conversation on an iPad2 you're supposed to be able to continue it on an iPhone 4s or other ios 5 device, but it only does so if I iMessage to someone who also has AT&T, not Verizon.

Thank you. However, phone numbers work between AT&T as I have successfully done so on many occasions. I will try email addresses for iMessages to Verizon and Sprint users to see if that my problem.
